Try iVideon if you're looking to save to a local NAS for free. iVideon runs on Windows and has clients for multiple platforms including mobile app for Android and iOS. I have 4 Wyzecams set up with the official RTSP firmware and iVideon server running on a Windows 2012 server. That takes care of the local recording. Then with the Wyzecam's RTSP feeds, you can get the cams integrated into Homebridge quite easily using FFMPEG.
This one is tough. You could use something like Ivideon to manage all your locations and cameras but that will get really expensive.
It sounds like you are mixing VMS solutions? That makes it a lot harder.
A Vivotek Vast 2 Virtual Server could also handle the scenario, but again, it will get very expensive as you need to pay for licenses for each camera.
Decoding all those different brand's of cameras is very complicated for a software and you will have to pay for that technology.
Hi,
What VMS are you currently using for the Axis and Indigovision? Axis Camera Station & Indigovision Control Center?
Many VMS have different user roles that allow you to set-up roles which control what a user can view and do. You might be able to just set up a new user role, which only has permission to see the cameras of your choice. This might be cleaner than setting up an additional VMS. I get that you want to keep the external out of our internal LDAP but I'm not sure it will be much safer with an external VMS connected.
Let me know what you are running and I'll ask my technician for his opinion as I'm not an expert in this area.
P.s.: I just attended a presentation of a software company called Ivideon. They offer analytics of any type of camera via cloud analytics. Their solution could be a cheaper option for you if you can connect to the cameras via IP. It's a pretty neat idea.
Sorry, yes, I meant a PC with the Intel I5 processor in it. I've tried with less initially running multiple cameras in Blue Iris but the processor would stay maxed out all of the time. Maybe something like the Lenovo M93p ? Blue Iris is a bit expensive, so you may want to try out some different software on your laptop before you decide to go down that path.
Free Video Software:
I run Zoneminder. https://zoneminder.com
It’s free but requires Linux. Not really that hard to configure since I’m definitely a Linux novice. Supports a lot of proven tested cameras by the community. There is an iPhone app for it called ZmNinja. Connected 6 ONVIF cameras and it works flawlessly on my Ubuntu vm with only 8 GB of ram.
If simplicity is what you want another choice is Ivideon. It’s easier to setup and run but has less features. Also has an iPhone app. https://www.ivideon.com
This may sound funny but I run currently run both. They are both vm’s in a test environment while I figure out which one I want to use while I test reliability.

Looks like it is, I'm not an apple user so I wouldn't know how to get it to work on a mac, probably just as easy as the other platforms though.
I have 8 Amcrest POE cameras set up at my house. I have them hooked up to a windows box right now that's running Ivideon software.
Other software I tried before landing on this: Zoneminder, Shinobi, MotionEye, Blue Iris, Ispy and a couple others I can't remember.
It's free to save video to your local storage, and free cloud viewing, but it costs $4 a month per camera to do cloud storage.
If I had it to do over again I'd go with a full ubiquiti setup. A friend has that set up and loves it.
There is some limitation to Ivideon (https://www.ivideon.com/) related to the android version (I think).
Aside from that we use it all the time since YouTube only allows one live stream at a time. You can do public or private streams free and their paid service offers DVR capabilities.

There's a peregrine on top of the town hall near me looking after some chicks It's all very cute until I remember they're going to grow into death machines 😐
Yes, 15 minute segments, overwritten if the device gets full. Ahould give me ~10 hours of video, which is long enough to pick up anything overnight. I'm tempted to pick up https://www.ivideon.com at £5 a month for 24hr cloud footage.
