What is Reddit's opinion of Sketchpad?

I make the rough sketch using mapchart.net, then I use sketchpad.io to fill in the remaining borders with ink.

Edit: If necessary I use Fotor.com to crop it.

I've used Visio for years and I'm currently playing around with draw.io, I love it so far. I'm starting to look into it's XML support to see how to use in scripts. It's pretty awesome.

Whatever tools you use, I'd recommend starting with a pen and paper draft. It makes things kind of easier afterwards. Even tools like Sketchpad can be pretty useful, I made a post about it a few days ago :

The text in the yellow rectangles is my favorite quote from my favorite dear Evan Hansen song. The guy in my photo is my brother, we'll call him B bc that's his first initial. B got diagnosed with leukemia and won't live that long (I don't want your sympathy thanks). This is about how I've been getting worse and worse the closer he is to death. This was made in sketch.io/sketchpad, and the song name is Waving Through A Window.

I was thinking.

I saw a module that allows the GM to open a browser INSIDE the game and share it with the other players.

Perhaps using that module with a web-based drawing tool might be what you are looking for.

The artists make their backgrounds I think... But if you mean the template (behind where they put the stats, name, ability, etc, I am guessing they have a template they can recolor to fit with their animal, then they add the stats, I dont think they have them for download tho...

Personally I use the free online program called sketch.io But it needs some getting-used-to before you can use it effectively. You also should allow it to save to your cookies, so you can have it autosave, and make multiple files you can come back to later and edit.

If you mean making it symmetrical, I will make half the animal (with any mess behind the gray outside of your canvas on sketch.io) then save the half, and take the half, copy it, flip it (make sure you using the saved IMAGE, not the edit-able file), then make sure they are both the same size, and put them next to eachother, save, and voilà!

Holy shit dude you did this?? It's amazing! Any tips for someone starting out? I am trying to get into drawing and animating stuff exactly like this. Biggest thing that has helped has been Bob Ross videos so I don't get super frustrated with myself. I've just been using this to draw stuff but if you have anything that might be better let me know

You can have 2 windows open in split screen just drag it from the top to the side. Also, have you considered using OneNote? Or do you need your Formulars in Pictures?

edit: Are you using the Native Skatchpad that is in the Pen Menu? Or do you use the Web App?

-The fins look weird, they're to box-y. -The body looks oval-shapped instead of being circle. -The "stripes" or whatever they are just look weird on the horn. -The eyes are oval-shapped (again), they're meant to be circles. Please don't hate me for this. I wrote these out because I want you to improve on your art, not just because I hate it. I'll give you some tips to do better at animal designs: - It seems like you're having problems at circles/shapes. I'd really recommend you to use other programs, such as Sketchpad, SAI, Paint.net or Photoshop. (Photoshop is the way to go if you want to make some advanced skins!) PS. Please don't use MS Paint, because this look like it was made in MS Paint. Other programs can help you copy things and draw much better shapes/circles. Hope this helps.

I think the closest thing we have right now is the tablet, on which you can open an online notepad (example) or drawing pad (example). The in-game drawing tool only works on the table itself.

Sorry for the late response back, if they’re using chrome books could you have them do a drawing online as a do now. They can create a virtual notebook. I’m fully remote and my kids love using kleki and sketchpad . You can have the kids save their work and submit it on a google classroom page. Or just have them create a folder on google drive that they can share with you. I thought my kids would get sick of online drawings but they’ve really liked it so far.
