Here's 2 tools that can help you figure out what type of installer is being used, what switches you can use and how to unpack it

UniExtract 2
> “This app can’t run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check the software publisher.”
This might be because the the game has a 16bit installer. I would advise running in a VM or if possible run the installer in windows 7, then copy the installed game to windows 10 and see if it runs. Sometimes it will.
Edit: Wait someone found a solution:
*Installing Cube Hopper in a 64-bit Windows environment[citation needed]
Need the following software: UniExtract . Open UniExtract and extract the following file from the 3D Cube Hopper CD-ROM: "_SETUP.1" Extract its contents to the Desktop (or other location of user's choice). Open the folder that was extracted and find the Cube Hopper contents. Backup once from the current dirctory (where the game files are) and rename the folder to “Cube Hopper“ (easier identification).*

Uniextract: https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2
I am assuming this is the TEG-10GECTX. Grab https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2
and extract the zip file. Run Uniextract and browse for the TRENDnet_TEG10GECTX_Win.exe. Let it extract. Browse to the disk 1 folder and run uniextract2 on the data1.cab file. It should extract everything. You can then manually install the .infs or tell windows where to look for them. Looks like this adapter is from Aquantia
A tarball is just another type of compressed file like a zip file. It is typically used on Linux. On windows you need another program to extract them.
You can use a program like this to open them
I’m not sure if this will work, but for the longest time I’ve use a program called Uniextract to decompress just about everything.

I’ve been able to extract most exe installers, but I’ve not tried the SDK.
For most programs the answer is no: the installer creates, in various places (thanks Microsoft!), folders, files and registry keys the software expects to find when run.
You can try:
extracting the executable from the installer with something like Universal Extractor;
portabilizing the software. I'm not aware of the latest developments but used the now defunct Cameyo (you can still find it online – be careful).
As a rule of thumb this only works with relatively small programs.
Or follow u/mimteatr's suggestion. I'll add Major Geeks to that, just search for "portable".
The other option is to extract the MSI. https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2
In the manual it looks like it is trying to install very old flash plugins which should be making alarm bells ring considering Flash is no longer getting updated..
>I use Waterfox G3.10 and I downloaded the pack from the Mozilla Add-Ons store. And yes,I know that are fixed language packs for waterfox, but they're made for Suse Linux.I had to reinstall this browser to make this post.
the Mozilla language packs do not work in G3 and will most likely cause a crash on startup. do not use them
Waterfox is a cross platform browser so G3 or Classic on Linux looks and behaves in the same manner as it would on Windows and the language packs will work, make sure you download the right language pack for the browser you are using, G3 is at the bottom. . https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/hawkeye116477:/waterfox/Debian_10/all/
go to the above link and find your language pack waterfox-g3-i18n-pt-br_1.0-0_all.deb clicking the link will download it you will need to unpack the DEB archive either with 7zip or another unpacker like Universal Extractor 2, with 7zip you will also need to unpack the data.tar as well to reach the language pack **** once you have this file just Drag-and-Drop it on to the Waterfox window to install it.
7-Zip
Universal Extractor 2
would it be possible to make your own portable by unpacking both the portable exe and the classic install exe with Universal Extractor 2 and seeing which files you can replace?
Some options for you:
Okay so
basically uninstall all ASUS drivers (for this card) you may have installed.
download https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2/releases/download/v2.0.0-rc.3/UniExtractRC3.zip + the asus driver installer...
Open uniextract.
Select the executable to extract (so the asus installer). Then go to the folder where all is extracted.
Then just run every executables in this folder (.msi, .msu, .exe) when it ask to reboot just say no. After everything is installed you can reboot.
Then you should be able to run sonic studio 👍
Can't install chroma studio.
I recently bought a razer cynosa chroma and I want to install synapse studio to customize my new keyboard.
I get a server access unavailable
I couldn't install synapse 3 then I found a workaround to install each individual package and this is how I could install razer central and synapse 3 but no modules. [Thanks: https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2/issues/165 ]
Latest windows 10 pro version with all updates.
Device model: LENOVO Y720-15IKB
You can extract the files from the sabaki installer, its portable. I forgot which program I used, maybe universal extractor? https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2/releases I had katago and leela zero running
I often put exe files into the firewall's outbound blocking rules, to prevent any unwanted connection outside. Quite tiresome at first, but I made it a personal practice. I also export the firewall rules as backup, so I could import them whenever needed. So just maybe, about 98% of my programs' exe's are blocked no matter how trustworthy they are.
I also prioritize archived releases over setup.exe's. Some programs only have setup exe releases (eg. KMPlayer, PotPlayer), for such I use extractors like Universal Extractor and 7-Zip to extract them instead of running their setup, thus potential setup adware or spyware could be bypassed.
I just leave a few exe's unblocked which must be able to connect, for example ClamWin, in order for it to fetch virus definition updates. A few others I indeed have blocked but I toggle the rule OFF temporarily (then back ON when done) when I intentionally need them to fetch for example plugin updates.
Some programs allow installation only for the logged-in user without demanding admin rights, and others have portable versions of programs available (either developer-provided or repackaged).
If there is none, try running the installer as invoker, or extract the installation files using tools such as Universal Extractor 2.
