You can get App Usage for Android (not my app).
On iOS apps like this are not available because of the security restrictions but it's possible to see built-in app usage stats at Settings → Battery → Clock icon.
I periodically review which apps take up most of my time (daily notifications), and unless absolutely essential I uninstall them.
After realising I was spending 6+ hours a day on my phone I said bye-bye to:
Then I used Nova settings to hide the default apps from my app drawer, turned off notifications and voila! Everything is suddenly simple and I have so much more time.
Haven't deactivated anything, just use the web at work or in the morning on my PC now instead of my smartphone. Best of all is I don't miss anything i've uninstalled because I still have access, just without the immediate gratification a smartphone brings.
TL;DR: Use App Usage to uninstall apps that take up time without feeling like you've lost value.
> * App Usage - Shows your daily phone usage in a notification. Also if you get wasted, you can see what time you went to bed or what apps you accessed.
You know me so well
I used the simply named App Usage for a while.
Haven't gotten around to setting it up on my new phone, but it worked well when I used it.
Just look at the playstore page for its features
For me, it’s basically a better version of Google’s upcoming Digital Well Being Feature for Android 9.1
Why would you want this you ask? Well if you are a fan of statistics and want to see which apps actually matter to you, I highly recommend this.
I think it fills an interesting niche quite nicely and it helps you realize just how much time you are using your phone every single day.
It’s not for everyone I’ll admit, but it does a very good job of what it does. I can even understand if people would just look away with such an app.
Is the lifetime PRO Version worth it?
I don’t believe any app (99%+) is worth $20+ but yes, I did pay for lifetime pro. It is now one of the several apps I check at least once everyday to see what's my latest usage data like. Can’t really say that I check most of the other apps I purchased that often. I also believe that the developer is pretty damn good and spent a lot of time and effort making the app so I believe the payment is justified in some sense.
I wish the entire idea of App Usage Manager is a stock android feature but we know how Google goes with new features :/
My verdict is that everyone should try it for at least a week or so and see if they will like the statistics being shown. It might not help but it’s hardly the worst thing in the world to spend time in.
Oh, and I never saw this app or barely see it in recommendations so I just wanted to give it some love :)
Try a usage monitor app. I use this one on Android. Seeing how often I check my phone and wanting to see that number lower at the end of the day helps enough.
Mi sono sempre chiesto se ci fosse un'app simile, peccato che non c'è per Android (almeno per ora).
EDIT: su Android ho trovato App Usage che sembra far bene il suo lavoro.
This looks full featured and highly rated. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
Tracks app usage and can sort apps by size, date and other factors.
Also, that developer has been around since the beginning of Android, probably had one of the first 50 apps ever for Android. I remember using an app he made that would tell you went apps were updated before that was a feature in android.
The sony lifelog app tracks app usage but it has a persistent notification. Other than that I don't know any, but I code it if your willing to pay, im just looking for extra work.
Edit: found an app: App Usage - Manage/Track Usage - Free with IAP - Rating: 85/100
I use App Usage which tracks number of times mobile unlocked, time spend on mobile whole day, time spent per app, etc. I highly recommend it!
App Usage ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller&gl=US ): Settings > App/Device Usage > Usage Ignored Apps. Slide the switch of the app you want to exclude in the "All tab", and in will now be listed on the "Ignored tab".
I think App Usage would fit your needs. It tracks your activity, and you can revisit the timeline to see what you have done throughout the day.
App usage can show you this but I'm hesitant to recommend. It's free with ads, $3.99 per year or $20 which is kind of a lot. Anyway feel free to check it out.

I would highly recommend App Usage which will track this and a bajillion other things:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller&hl=en_US&gl=US
For example, I can see a running timeline log like this for today:
9:11 p.m. Screen off (locked)
9:12 p.m. Screen on (unlocked)
9:13 p.m. Screen off (locked)
9:17 p.m. Screen on (locked)

You can export that as CSV which will give you results like this:
"Screen off (locked)","4/15/21","9:18:50 PM","0:50:50"
"Screen on (unlocked)","4/15/21","9:17:10 PM","0:00:04"
"Screen on (locked)","4/15/21","9:17:08 PM","0:00:01"
"Screen off (locked)","4/15/21","9:13:07 PM","0:04:02"
For other older Android phones this feature is actually not there. i'm on Marshmellow so for users with older versions, they can have this app 'App usage' Make sure to white-list from Battery optimization and add it to autostart in the background.
On Android newer versions have this app called Digital Well-being. It is already integrated into Pixel. For older versions you can get this app 'App usage'. Though you will need to white-list from battery optimization and add it to auto-start in the background.
For iOS it is built in the system in newer versions.

This is it. I use an Android, not sure if this app is available for Iphones as well. It's nice because it breaks down how much time you spend on each app, and also documents everything you do on your phone, from unlocking to locking your phone. The only thing it doesn't seem to track is when I listen to Spotify while having the phone unlocked, but I don't mind that.
Hello from the future. I found this app called "App Usage" that works pretty much precisely how I need. Tells me exactly how much time I spend in apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
Now that I've gone back and looked. I downloaded "App Usage"...
facepalm.
Still a great app, definitely keeping it.

For such posts a screen of this app would be so useful. It lists in detail how long each app has been used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
My SoT on stock goes from 4-6 hours, depending on the usage. The apps we use can have such a huge impact on it.
How much do you use mobile data vs WIFI? There is a big difference in battery life with the mobile radio active bug. EDIT: You can also use App Usage to track how much time you use in each app, it has a very nice month and day view.
Yeah, it isn't available in my country. Oh well, here is an alternative app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
The best I've come across is App Usage + Google Maps Timeline.
Great app to manage applications, what you use and how/when you use them. Beautiful UI.
* App Usage
I think this is the best recipe ripper or there. It will pull the recipe from almost any site you throw at it. Syncs to the cloud, tagging and decent UI.
* ChefTap
Good app for resources on the upcoming Presidential election along with various news sources for current event info. UI is blah but it has a bunch of good resources in it.
* Election 2016
These two are essential for customizing your Nav bar. Love them. Root required.
* Flat Style Bar Indicators
* Flat Style Colored Bars
Good custom menu for sharing items. Wish this was built in to Android.
* Fliktu
I really dig this one and it doesn't seem to get much exposure. Auto sorts apps by category. Custom categories and folders. You can make shortcuts to folders on your home screen. You can do apk backups. Hopefully more people pick this one up and support the dev, I'd really like to see this application continue development. Great UI. *Glextor App Manager
Tired of typing out hashtags all the time? This app is great for creating custom hashtag lists, then you can save them under categories and when you post an item, switch over to this app, copy the hashtag group you want to the clipboard and paste it in. Simple app but works well for what it does.

This is what you looking for:
Check out "App Usage (manage/track usage)" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
This is what I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
It does a lot of things and can also limit your time by sending notifications or pop-ups
Thank you. I was able to find a similar app after looking into this suggestion.
App usage: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller&hl=en_US&gl=US
It doesn't fit all the requirements but there's App Usage.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
I've used this one, it works well
App Usage - Manage/Track Usage | 4.2 rating | Free with IAP | 500,000+ downloads | Search manually
> App Usage is the easiest to use but powerful app/device usage management app. It provides the following key features: ★ App usage history : gather the usage time about apps that you used ★ Check phone history : gather counts of you ...

Here if your on Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webtime-tracker/ppaojnbmmaigjmlpjaldnkgnklhicppk?hl=en
If this is on your phone, I would suggest a app usage app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
Or an app block like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wverlaek.block
For pc a good blocker is https://freedom.to
This is the app I use to track usage on Android.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
App Usage - Manage/Track Usage - I'm using it since... 3 years? Happy with it.
I have one, about 20 months old.
1) Mine is still good but I think your experience with the battery might be related to 2)
2) if you have a lot of Android Apps or Chrome Extensions, you need to look into the below:
Android: get an App that tells you what you do not use so you delete what you really don't need. I use this on both my CB Pro and Pixel 3: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller&hl=en_US but there are plenty of other good ones to give you that information
Android: use an App to manage rogue Apps that unnecessarily run in the Background. I use Greenify Pro on both my CB Pro and Pixel 3: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify (get the Pro on top). Pin the Greenify Icon on your tray, when you "click right" on it, you'll get a "Auto ZZZ now"
ChromeOS: I have about ~60 Chrome Extensions. On my W10 i7 16GB, no problem. On the CB Pro, it is clearly an issue. I use this Extension to manage the other ones: NooNoss https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nooboss/aajodjghehmlpahhboidcpfjcncmcklf - In the settings I restrict Extensions to their dedicated websites, i.e. ForceAmazonSmile Extension is only necessary on Amazon, so I auto-switch-off-extension when not on Amazon. Same for some Gmail extensions: if I am on it, they are switched ON, if I am not on Gmail, they are OFF.
Having said all this, my CB Pro is not as fast as I wish but it works fine for now. The above should help you a bit.
App Usage, by Sam Lu https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
This app has cut down my YouTube , Instagram, and Reddit usage substantially: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
(App usage)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller here's the link to the app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller&hl=en
something like that? Never used it, but it seems to have what you're looking for
It was App Usage but as /u/xi_mezmerize_ix pointed out, I could've used "List My Apps" to export the list.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.uninstaller
After trying several, this is the best.
I use App Usage - Manage/Track Usage - works like a charm.
I use App Usage for that, though a built in implementation from Samsung would be nice.
