I also deleted my account today and after doing some research switched to AquaMail cause it doesn't store your passwords/emails in the cloud and has a ton of configuration options. (You'll need to buy pro that's 4.95 to remove "sent from AquaMail" signature and be able to add more than two accounts)
Mainly because nothing is saved in the cloud. I use it for all my imap accounts. I think it works with exchange; I do not know how well though. There a lot options for the app along with settings for each account you add.
Check out Aquamail I have been using it for over a year really customizable love the swipe delete or un-read easy to set up. give it a shot.
AquaMail
Don't forget to disable "Send Usage Statistics" in settings, if you don't want AquaMail to collect any data from you.
Aqua Mail has everything you're looking for except for different notifications for different contacts(even if it's there, idk.... maybe I missed it.)
But you've got to dive deep into settings to set up Aqua Mail the way you want it to be.
Btw after setting up the first account, goto settings and disable "Send usage statistics" if you don't want them to collect any sort of data from you.

definitely Aqua Mail. one of the most secure and ethically conscious e-mail clients when it comes to privacy.
link me: Aqua Mail
edit: the bot linked the Pro; if you don't need more than 2 accounts then you can use the free one
I use a mail app on my phone called Aqua Mail instead of Outlook. It seamlessly syncs my calendar for me. AA displays my appointments just fine.
AquaMail has fairly extensive Tasker integration.
I wish there was one as well :/ rn I'm considering Gmail for PC and Aqua Mail for my Android. Digging Aqua Mail aw man the sheer number of customization options :0
Microsoft have an IFTTT type app called Flow. This has a template called "Get a push notification when you receive an email from your boss" that you could probably adapt. If the Flow notification isn't good enough then you can have Tasker watch for that notification and do your alert task.
Another option is AquaMail which has both Office 365 and Tasker integration. It's expensive though (I don't regret the purchase at all) so I'd definitely try the free version first to test it.
It has a feature called "Smart Folder" which lets you view all of your accounts at once (on the widget, too). I set out to only show new unread emails, but it can be configured to show emails from back to a certain point (one week, one month, etc) or all current emails in your in boxes. Not sure how much of it is paid features, but I think it's worth it. Solid theming, too.
Well, after trying a half dozen apps, I found the app that does everything I wanted! Aqua Mail! It's excellent, the developer is responsive; and I highly recommend it! You'll have to change a couple of simple settings under the "Message notifications" settings menu. Need to set the "Notify about" to "New unread messages", and under "Action Buttons" enable "Move to Spam" (and anything else you want); and then it all works!
Unlike Cloud Magic, it isn't sending my messages thru another server or potentially exposing personal info. Nor did the author immediately capture and use my email address to send me a message, which I liked. It appears to be a pure client, which is what I wanted.
After much testing, of many different clients, Aqua Mail is the winner! And it does support Mark as Spam! You just have to enable it, which you do under the "Message notifications" settings menu. Need to set the "Notify about" to "New unread messages", and under "Action Buttons" enable "Move to Spam" (and anything else you want); and then it all works!

Aqua Mail has a schedule feature for the various inboxes. In fact it has so many features it may be overwhelming at first.
Try Aquamail, I've been using it for longer than I can remember. There's a free or paid option which I know isn't cheap but it works incredibly well and doesn't chew up Battery power. Some people lost intrest in the App when it got bought out years ago, they were concerned about privacy issues but they've been unfounded. The UI isn't anything special although themable but the solid dependabilty and swift information service both inbound and outbound are what makes it worthy.

This is the free version of the app which is ad-supported:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail&hl=en_US&gl=US
This is the unlocker for the Pro version, which enables additional features and disables the ads:
Personally I consider the free version to be a trial version, not something that you would want to use. You can try the free version, and if you like it enough then buy Pro, otherwise find something else.
K-9 is under development but a different individual. This is why the UI change and one of the changes is Tasker integration. At best it's broken, though I suspect the individual developing the app now doesn't value the integration. Basically it's currently developed to an individual's needs and shared and open source to the community. Which is fair, but it's going away from meeting my needs.
To get the integration back, you'll have to revert to 5.6 found on K-9's GitHub. It an APK under assets. If you do revert, don't forget to make sure you know the account password since on input of settings on the older version, you have to manual renter them. On the newer UI, the passwords are available in clear text if you go into server configuration and tap the eye icon. That's another feature I dislike in the new version.
An alternative is AquaMail which has Tasker integration.
I have been using the AquaMail Android app for years without issues. It does it's own caldav sync and didn't need a separate app for the sync. It is also the most customizable calendar app I have seen. The only time I had a problem, the developer responded in immediately and gave me a working beta version the next day.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
The Outlook app can sync contacts, but not calendar. You will need to use something else if you want to sync calendar data and use other calendar apps.
In your system settings, if you have the option to add an Exchange account, then you should be able to add your outlook.com account as an Exchange account, which should give your the option to sync contacts and calendar. Some devices support this, some do not.
Alternatively, some 3rd party email apps have Exchange support and can sync contacts and calendar. The only two I'm aware of that support Exchange are Nine and AquaMail. There is a free ad-supported version of AquaMail that might to the job for you if you just need a way to sync your data.

AquaMail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail) has worked well for me using 3 email accounts (Gmail, personal private, work email). My email host supports IMAP IDLE so every account has push notifications instead of polling which is nice.
Owned by MobiSystems for the past couple of years which may or may not put you off, but it seems to have retained the original capabilities and focus.
EDIT: and yes, it has conversation view (along with a LOT of options)... https://i.imgur.com/UCqGRwL.jpg
Aquamail https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail partitions it so that remote wipe will only affect the app and not the whole phone. Syncs the Exchange/365 calendar with the local calendar too. I used to flip between Outlook and Aquamail, but always end up coming back to Aquamail. I use NextDNS for ad/tracker blocking (phone wide) so I am not too worried about Mobisystems trackers.
AquaMail. It might take some setting up, but I got it to work pretty much the same as Inbox. Oh sweet inbox, how I miss you..
Aqual Mail. This comes with an option to forward emails to your calendar and convert them to calendar events. Also to share emails with the share menu to other apps. Rare functionality these days.
I have the full version and have not been bothered at all with ads for their office suite.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
You can long press the email in the inbox and choose Show Headers with Aquamail
It has something called Smart Folder which is a crazy powerful way to organize multiple mailboxes
You could use a different email app. I'm a Yahoo mail user, but I never use Yahoo's app. My preferred email app is AquaMail, or if you want something that is free you can try K9.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
Aqua Mail is a bit pricey but it is a fantastic mail client.
It has night and weekends modes that allow you to disable sounds and vibrations or disable automatic checks completely. The settings can be configured differently at weekends and the days that are considered weekends can also be configured. You can also set these settings differently per account too.
As a cherry on top it also has Tasker integration.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
I found the Samsung email app to be a bit lacking.
I tried a few alternatives, but ended with the Pro version of Aquamail. It's definitely the best for handling multiple email accounts in my opinion. It's also good from a privacy/security stand-point: it doesn't store your emails on their servers, like many other alternative apps.
MailDroid and AquaMail are both full-featured email clients that do not pass your emails through their own servers. MailDroid also happens to be on sale at the moment.

I'm not sure about the best email scheduler app but if you're willing to change your email app then Aqua Mail has that feature.

Aqua Mail - Supports multiple accounts, and is highly customizable (especially for font sizes)
AquaMail, MailDroid, Nine, and K-9 are the most feature-rich email clients for Android. They are also good in terms of privacy, because they do not send your email data through 3rd party servers, unlike Bluemail and other "cloud based" email services.
The first three are paid apps, but they all have free versions or trial periods so you can try them. K-9 is free and open source. Nine and AquaMail are the best options if you need to access Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.

AquaMail Best mail app I have found I have 3 email accounts I love having them all in one app.
Try Aqua mail
Aquamail is very customizable, and is my email app of choice. Other good options include MailDroid, Nine, and K-9. K-9 is open source and free. The others are paid apps.

Looking forward to an upgrade from Tab S, solely for a stylus perhaps.
Deal breakers/fixers
I think the following are the deal breakers/fixers - I have only used Tab S, and the rest is online information:
App Support
For app support, this is a nice (from 2014 though) article discussing tablet apps in the two ecosystems. For my use case, on android there are:
For software upgrades - my Tab S has Marshmallow - and perhaps, the only thing I miss from Nougat or Oreo is the ability to add Invert Colors button to the Notification bar. As a rooted user (hope Tab S6 will be easy to root!), apps like Greenify, DeepSleep Battery Saver, Kernel Adiutor, Magisk Manager provide super powers - it does take you to be into these things though; like the last week I discovered how responsiveness can be tweaked using the Governors - so for bug fixes, you aren't dependent on the vendor, as long as the device is sufficiently easy to root. To save battery and avoid overheating, I tend to underclock it - and it still suffices for reading purposes. For something heavier, like working with multiple apps, in-browser videos, full speed may be required; but processor hasn't given me a reason to upgrade - but, YMMV.
I think the biggest benefit of android is the freedom - therefore, converting me to iPad boils down to how good iPad OS is / will be; I mean, we already have the Freeform mode and Taskbar, and the Samsung Dex. So, I'm waiting for the limitations of iPadOs to be revealed:
Aqua Mail has dark mode, with 2 dark themes (dark with light message background, dark with dark message background).

Don't forget to disable "send usage statistics" in settings.
If Gmail was part of the base install you can use the App settings to uninstall the updates, returning to the app as it exists in the base. Though a system update will likely update all apps in the base.
If you don't demand the same experience there are other apps that can be used with Gmail, like Aqua, K-9, Yahoo, or Zoho, even Samsung's email app can IIRC. If you want Gmail itself but not the buggy app you might try the GO version.
I've found the only way to be certain Play Store doesn't update things whenever it likes is to disable it, though that doesn't block all forced, auto-updates merely most.
Tu as essayé Aquamail ?
Aqua Mail was the last one standing for me that would still talk nicely with my company's configuration. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
Yes, yes 😃 I reckon that's Aquamail.

Take a look a Aqua Mail
I enjoy using AquaMail. It totally satisfied my inquiries. The best mail client of the best. Try it!
The tricky bit is if the files are in multiple directories. Fortunately you can use Code - run shell with this:
find %directory -type f -name "*.PDF"
Make sure it's the right extension, it's case-sensitive. %directory
is a variable containing the base directory of the USB stick (should be accessible in a file browser). Type f is type file (as opposed to directory) and the name flag will narrow it down by the name.
This will output a list of files with the full path, separated by line breaks. In the Run Shell code, you can call the variable %files. Now it gets slightly tricky. Tasker uses arrays, which are Comma-separated lists that can be iterated through. A variable is one string, an array is a bunch of them, in other words.
So we want to turn the list of files into an array. To do this, first use Variable Set, and put a physical return and nothing else, into the variable (call it %return).
Now we can use this to create the array. Use Variable Split on %files, with %return as the splitter. Then you have an array, you can check by using the Alert - Flash action with %files(). You now need to iterate through the array, with a Task - For loop.
This just copies each value, one at a time, into %item. The receipt email doesn't matter (although if the sender address isn't Gmail or SMTP, try Aqua instead of MailTask. With either, you will set up your sending email account inside the app first. Then - back to the For loop. Add Plugin - Mailtask - send email, with %item as the attachment.
Now just end the For loop: task - end for.
It usually takes a little while to send emails, so you'll want to add a Task - Wait action for a minute or two. Then, you can make another for loop, except instead of emailing, you can use File-Delete file on %item. Check "use root" if the filenames start with "/", which they should. And then End For loop on this one.
You should probably test it without deleting anything the first time, to make sure it works OK without accidentally deleting anything that doesn't get sent.
Hope you can follow along in Tasker!
What about Aqua Mail? You can turn off "data sending". They claim they dont store any data either.

I highly recommend AquaMail, ymmv. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail&hl=en_US

not sure if that's what you're looking for, but take a look at Aqua Mail

Well, I have found I love the ASOP email client, which does everything you need. But it isn't as easy to update/install. Here is the latest I could find.
I have also liked K-9. Not just any K-9, one installed thru F-Droid :). You tut tuted that though.
I did some searching, and the only other one I could find that might work is Aqua Mail. Might be something to look into if the ASOP app doesn't suit you.
I use Aqua Mail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail)
The pro version costs about $30 though, but I think you'll be OK with the regular one.
Otherwise there are heaps of really good 3rd party email clients, Spark is the latest one that everyone seems to be using now. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.readdle.spark

Otherwise if security is your thing you could try Proton Mail:
