I switched all my devices to magnetic quick-connect chargers like the one linked below.
Basically eliminates wear and tear on the USB connector, and I can use the same cable on USB-C and Micro-USB devices. Would also work on Apple Lightning ports if I had any.

I've done it myself the first day the phone came out. What you want to use is a stepping drill bit. Something narrow like this: this
You have to apply very light pressure and take your time. These drill bits are great though for drilling into things like plexiglass without cracking them.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pdmdm.dmplay&hl=en <<< this works on the LG V20 and others, but idk yet about the V60, its so worth it and easy to use, its so worth the $$$ big time ... no rooting necessary
Good question. There's an app called black screen https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.binarybox.blackscreen That displays a totally black screen, and since our phones is amoled, there's no light...
There is with 3rd party apps. I use Keep Screen Awake and it's awesome. Lots of additional settings, a button can be placed up top in the notification shade to toggle it on, I've used it many times over the last ~18 months. Screen burn will happen if you leave it on a static image all day, but if you just want to keep a recipe up for an hour while your hands are messy or something then this app is perfect for that.

I personally have a pair of Audiotechnica M50X, use a pair of adapters to fool the DAC into high impedance mode since they function at 32ohm I believe. Process includes plugging headphone cable into a 80ohm "noise cancelling resistor", which then plugs into an L-adapter. Plug L-adapter into phone, remove resistor from between adapter and headphone cable without removing adapter, then finally plug headphone cable into adapter. Works flawlessly with an app I found which tells you what mode the DAC is in. I usually stop at about 65 volume, any more might risk hearing damage lol Not sure if this is good for the headphones in the long run, but it definitely improves the audio experience noticeably. Higher volumes, improved clarity, tighter bass. I always noticed immediately when I forget to use the adapter lol

>Lastly, there is not one success story to be found on reddit of transferring apps, data, settings from one phone to another via a transfer app.
LG actually has their own app called LG Mobile Switch that lets you transfer everything (apps, photos, texts, contacts, etc) from one phone (any brand) to your new LG. In fact, that's what I used when switching over to my V60. I dunno what carrier you have, but the clerk at the T-Mobile store I bought my V60 at recommended Mobile Switch to me. Took maybe an hour, but I was able to transfer everything from my old phone (coincidentally also an LG phone) with zero issues.
I was impressed how thorough it was, too. Instead of seeing what apps I have and telling the V60 to download those apps from the Play Store, it copied the APKs themselves, including stuff like Amazon App Store apps (I had a few that I bought on my Kindle Fire when I was younger) and even an app I made myself in high school (a stupid little soundboard app made using a Scratch-like basic app builder).
I use this for my runs. It fits the dual screen case. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HW66WRW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Love the dual screen too. :)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HCN5M33/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you use the headphone jack, you can open it and reverse the side plates, but this lets you open the screen up and charge it while you drive letting you see it.
You need to get this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.usage.appbackuppro
Hit the search at the top and type 'keyboard', you should see LG Keyboard come up. Check the box to the right and then hit backup at the bottom.
Next, go to your phones internal memory with a file program like Solid Explorer and look for a folder called Mobi_Usage_AppBackup. In this folder will be the APK which you can then move to your Google drive for sharing.
someone else posted this, i have not tested it as I do not have my dual screen yet

This is awesome. Still a bit lost but it definitely helps. It's a lot of info to digest, which is what I was after, I guess. This is something I found. It's what got me questioning 5g compatibility. https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-lg-v60-thinq-global-8gb-256gb
Yep, cable itself has very low impedance, perhaps less than 1 ohm. Here's also useful app that tells you in which mode you're in.

It has the option to add immersive mode to your quick settings. It requires ADB initially. Then you'll be able to hide both the status bar and the nav bar.
There may be other ways but I use total commander as my file manager. You can also see all installed apk's in it. That's what I used to pull off the fonts I had installed on my V20. Then I sideloaded the apk on my V60 with TC again.

I'm using this one in a Prius.

Works very well, holds the phone securely. The only negative is that normally when it is set to hold the phone in dual screen mode, it won't hold it without the case.
I went with this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YM1N23Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_6ZH4J20BC5SVPEBBFP4S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Wanted to be sure I had support at the hinge. Could hold the screens flat n not force an angle. Be able to charge
I got this and it works really well. I had a magnet holder previously but it was a nuisance dealing with the magnet. This works with both the regular phone and dual case. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJNNDWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_8KW4JKBTXNF84VSHC1X6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I'm not sure which one you should get, I'm still deciding on one but I would say don't get this one
I tried this one and the locking mechanism broke on the smallest bump. It happened to me twice. So now I'm just looking for a simple mount that holds on to the phone from the top and bottom.
That is unexpected to hear, as OpenCamera works on my LG V-60 and the stock camera in regular (not in manual) mode.
I cannot recommend Filmic Pro highly enough. You can get the evaluator that tests your phone for compatibility here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.filmic.compatibilitytest
You can also purchase add-ons like a remote control for a second Android device, or a special toolkit that provides color controls and "log" filming. Buying everything is still cheap for the features you get.
Meanwhile, I hope you can still get Android system updates for the V-50. That might be what is needed, perhaps.

I've used them more than once they protect the screen very well
The Vmoda's are 32 Ohm. The amp is probably staying in low impedance mode. You can trick it into "aux" mode by removing the headphone cable from the headphones, plugging the cable into the phone first and then plug the headphone end in. Verify mode using: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptrio.hi_fi_status&hl=en_US&gl=US&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dhifi+status+app&pcampaignid=APPU_1_GlgDYNXkFNi3tQaX-aGIBQ
I grabbed these off Amazon because they were cheap and I have two phones to cover. They fit just fine, but I really hate plastic film screen protectors. They grab every finger print and are hard to clean.
I also ordered some tempered glass protectors that were too thick to use with the dual screen (case can't close all the way) so I used them on the outer glass. I turned them upside down so the notch was less noticeable at the bottom. They don't fully cover the outer glass, but when centered, they don't look terrible. I have dropped my phone multiple times (just recently onto the pavement) and so far, it has survived. It's not an ideal solution, but it's worked so far.
I am curious what everyone else is using for screen protectors. I would really like something with an oleophobic coating that doesn't look so greasy like the plastic films always do.
Here is the three-pack of a similar or same item that works fantastically. I found having three is the perfect number (for the car and different rooms of the house).
The only way to know this would be to try it, but I'm going to go ahead and say no.
When you connect to AA through a head unit all the audio is directed over either Bluetooth or USB. Turn off Bluetooth and it defaults to USB, turn on Bluetooth and it will connect over Bluetooth instead of USB. Since the car sees AA as a "source" like it would the aux jack or the CD player you wouldn't be able to use AA and the DAC at the same time.
That being said I will definitely test this (I don't have a car with AA but there's an app called Headunit Reloaded that emulates AA on Android devices.) I recommend that you try this out yourself as your milage may vary but I will also update you on my findings.
Would it happen to be my Dual Launch for LG app? If not, I'd be interested to know if there is another one out there.

I believe so. It has input binding. So theoretically if your controller is connected and your phone recognizes it, it should work. I'd have to try with my PS4 controller.
If it doesn't work natively I'm sure you could do a workaround with Octopus
I'm on Verizon too, the good news is that you can get themes from the Play Store, do a search for UX9.

Here is the one that was suggested to me on here. I think I would have preferred the one that hooks onto the air vents or something, because it doesn't actually fit well in my cup holders, but it does nicely hold the phone even with the dual screen folded out.

That link shows a pic of two phones inserted in the pouch. From the looks of it they seem to be an iPhone, either a 8, 8 plus, 7 or 7 plus since they have those big upper and lower bezels. So let's see if a V60 with dual attachments will fit using their dimensions.
the iPhone 7 is 7.1mm thick x 2 = 14.1mm.
the iPhone 7 Plus and 8 are 7.3mm thick x 2 = 14.6mm
the iPhone 8 plus is is 7.5mm thick x 2 = 15mm
The Dual Screen Attachment is 14.9mm thick (0.586") by 175.9mm (6.9") long, by 86mm (3.38") thick. So I would assume it would fit that case if the two phones in the picture were a iPhone 8 plus. If they are a iPhone 7 plus or 8, it might be tight. if the phones are a iPhone 7, I don't think there will be enough space for the V60 with dual screen attachment. But the only way to be absolutely sure is asking the manufacturer / seller to see if they can tell us what the internal dimensions of the pouch are. I left them a question. let's see if they reply in that amazon page.
But in searching for an answer to this topic, I came across this one on Amazon that would be big enough. It states inner dimensions to be 6.94" (176.3mm) long by 3.95" (100.3mm) wide by 0.67" (17mm) deep.
There are quite a few other ones in Amazon, just search "V60 extra large phone holster" and then go by the dimensions I posted above.
Thank you for that. I was on mobile and the Amazon app doesn't do direct linking. At least in my case I would almost exclusively be playing single player games and be okay with speakers it Bluetooth, but a very valid point to make. The Ipega 8167 is another example of a tablet compatible gamepad this one even includes a headphone adapter. I even included a link this time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0817LQCZV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_T6YNEbGXD013N

I bout a 2nd one recently, for both home desk and work desk.
Even with a dual screen case, it works well, I'd say 9 out of 10 for placement accuracy, when you put the phone on it.
This is a very good charger, and I haven't had to plug anything into my USB port for a long time.
Not this one
I bought a 2 pack last week for cheap, but it won't work without me taking the case off of my V60 every time (even though I have an incredibly thin Casemate case on it). Same problem as you...phone is too tall and the charging coil doesn't line up well.
I recommend you the speck grip case for the LG V60 because it doesn't let dust get into your phone.

Let me first quantify by stating that I don't use a Dual screen with my TM LG V60 ThinQ5G. I use this one, and it's been great, showing only minimal wear on the case at this point from going in an out of my jean pockets. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0899TCCMP/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o07\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ugh sorry for the Google search linkage.
I use the Anker PowerPad one , with the Anker Quick Charge 3 wall charger, link here with the Anker Quick Charge 3 wall charger link here.
It's a 10W charger and takes about 1-1.5 hours to go from around 20%-80%. Doesn't make the phone hot at all and has been working great so far. I'd avoid charging with anything over 10W for your main charger, as the higher 15W+ will degrade your battery more over time and may lead to the battery overheating. Better off taking the time to charge sllower than trying to charge in only an hour and risking overheating.
Bro I gotta give you props...nice work.
They got these that support higher wattage too, which is what Im ordering now. Thanks again.
That is a very good point. Fast charging wirelessly is a bad idea. The V60 heats up pretty good. Stick with a 5W charger and charge overnight. It takes several hours, but the phone does not heat up at all. I use the Tylt VU (https://www.amazon.com/TYLT-Wireless-Charging-Compatible-Qi-Enabled/dp/B00DG8NVQI). It is 5W and I know it works with the V60 and through a Otterbox case.
Personally, I use a magnetic cable tip and insert on mine, specifically to avoid these kinds of issues. You leave the insert always installed on your device and then just magnetically attacked the cable with the adapter on it to charge. Works like a charm! Amazon linkage

I found XFolder a few months back and have been very happy with its user interface. Very easy to use!
I haven't tried some of its options yet, like network connectivity so can't speak to that but if you are just looking for an easy to use app to move files around (I use it to organize and move all my picture files!), it is great!
The most recent version has a "safe vault" to store sensitive files that can be keyed by your fingerprint. It's pretty cool!
Under settings it has a "share with your friends" option... below is what you get if you copy that:
I found XFolder - a super file manager to manage files and folders. It's really awesome!!! Download it on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=files.fileexplorer.filemanager
Yeah, I'm going to try a wireless charger, I got this one because I've used multiple different charger blocks and cables.

OK... here's the link for this one.
You can move it to fit in to cover your camera exactly. It's customization is pretty decent.
so I had a similar situation with the v60 where I wanted to watch a movie on the dual screen but have the main screen be completely black. I used this app and it would just open a black screen. So theoretically you could have the black screen app on half of the display with an app on the right side. Otherwise you can't turn off half of the display just how you can't turn off the main display of the v60 without locking the phone.
I gotta ask though, why not just use the cover display if you want a smaller screen?
Mostly I will be storing videos for playback.
I was thinking about this one:
Yes it can be done two ways. One way is to get this adapter https://www.amazon.com/FAAEAL-Conductor-Impedance-Cancelling-Professional/dp/B07FMG8144?th=1&psc=1 and connect headphones on the other side of it, then plug both into V60.
Better way would be to get some 3.5mm extender cable and this item. Then connect extender cable followed by adapter followed by headphones. Connect to V60, and unplug the adapter while keeping extender cable in the headphone jack. Then connect headphones to the extender.
Both ways will trigger the high impedance mode; second method will reduce power use
> What the hell is a cd tray option in relation to phone car mounts?
I have never used one myself, but I have seen them.
Example:
Allows you to (ab)use the tray of the CD player in your car to attach something not to far from the air vents.
I prefer air vent-attached holders in many situations (especially summer, when AC helps to keep a charging phone cool), but they are not possible with all types of air vents. They are also not recommended for winter if you like very hot air heating your car.

Adding a new comment because my earlier comment is 4 days old, but I tried my V60 in rugged case in this Qi-enabled holder yesterday and it is big enough, probably also with Dual Screen folded open (holding the phone part), something I have done more than once with my V50+Dual Screen.
Note I only saw this in European Amazon stores, Amazon US gave me an error when searching with asin=B09BZHT13R . But it may be sold under different brands.
I got these mainly because they were cheap and haven't had any issue with my sensor. The glass is kinda close to the edge of the screen which does bug me a bit, but it's not the end of the world for me.
Yootech 7.5W/10W/15W Wireless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082XDGK8J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is what I use, it even works with the dual screen case on. Keep the charging port centered over the green symbol and you'll be fine.
Forget OtterBox, they haven't been making particularly good cases lately. The rubber breaks and fails after a year of use.
On Amazon the best pairing is the Spigen Rugged Armour and the Hatoshi Glass Screen Protector.
Will offer superior protection and will last the lifetime of your phone. No issues yet, I've only replaced the glass once (it comes in a pack of three).

The current A12 update for the T-Mobile variant doesn't support Material You, however other variants that have recently received the A12 update do have it. As for how to change it, I'm not too sure myself, however if anyone with A12 besides V600TM users are willing to give this app a try, it would be interesting to know whether you can change the color to fit what you like.
> What is Nova7?
Just one of the better launchers out there. Prefer it much more than LG's own launcher.
Lot of V60 owners here in the sub are using it, especially those who use phone-only (so no Dual Screen).
It seems that since A12, opening links in apps like YouTube Vanced or third party Reddit clients won't work anymore. Every YouTube or Reddit link I click will take me to the browser. Even if I make Vanced or Infinity (the Reddit app I use) as the default, any link I open won't bring me to those apps.
I found a solution to it recently but it'll require a few extra steps. Firstly, download Open Link With... on the Play Store. After you install the app, whenever you open a link and it takes you to the browser, find the sharing menu in the browser and share it to this app. It'll then ask you which app to open the link in, and after you choose it, it'll open in your app of choice. It does take a few extra steps as stated earlier, but until we have a better method of redirecting links to our apps automatically, this is the best option.
Some Lenovo styluses might not have tilt detection. If you're an actual serious artist for whatever reason, I wouldn't go for Lenovo. If you're just marking PDFs or getting a stylus for a DS emulator, then they're good. This is the one I bought.

I had less luck with the "Wacom - Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus for Windows Ink; 2nd Generation". It works both on my surface laptop, and on the V60, but didn't work as well as a pen. Sometimes ink would fail or fail on part of the screen, etc. Might have been just a faulty pen.

I have had issues with some USB c to HDMI hubs. The Amazon one I ordered which is 4k 60hz only works on one tv in my house. I bought a cheap 4k 30hz hub and it works on everything. Some older TV's may not play nice with 4k 60hz hubs.
It was a sale they had. It appears the skw has been either discontinued or just out of stock. The only one available is a used one from a clown wanting $125. If you Amazon search 512gb micro SD you should get results in the $60 range. I would stay with known brands and sellers. Here is another cheap one, but I prefer Samsung. So I would pay a bit more to get what I want.
My Amazon order history shows I've been through two packs of these:

I've had my dual screen V60 for 26 months now and have broken nearly everyone of these, down to just one in my drawer if I recall. So that's about a broken protector every ~2.5 months, not sure I've noticed a great difference between the two brands myself.
And it's equally as slow when saving to internal storage. I did not format it inside the V60, it was coming from my V35.

My preferred monitor is the airview monitor. But they're stupid expensive. I was lucky enough to get a deal on mine. The screen isn't the best quality but it has its own battery and uses Bluetooth for touch. It has its downsides but I like it because i get a tablet-like experience without dealing with wires.
I also have a fangor miracast monitor (that i got before i found the airview). It has a much better screen, includes a battery but no touchscreen option.
I keep on telling myself I'll make a video comparing them but I just never get around to it. I'm probably going to sell the fangor soon since it's mostly redundant at this point.
Here's something weird. It only supports touch through Bluetooth. Even if you plug in through the usb-c port, touch won't work. Honestly i think the price is outrageous for what you get. I would not pay this much. I got lucky when I found out on eBay for maybe 200 usd. It's much more reasonable at that price. The damn thing doesn't even have a battery indicator so it'll just turn off without warning lol.
And yeah their website can be outdated often. Sometimes I can contact support, sometimes I can't.
See if you have this monitor near you. Seems to be the same style but an updated model as the airview. Or just search "miracast portable monitor" on Amazon, eBay, etc.
It doesn't prompt you each time, but Open Link With... works great for setting up certain types of links to open in pps.
Disney+ used to be Widevine-sensitive back when it started (I was an early adopter when it got released in Netherlands, as the first European country, I tried different Chinese Android TV boxes), but it seems like they let that go and are now using another mechanism.
Amazon Prime also uses a different system. Widevine is not a factor for getting 4K content, but phone model is a factor. E.g. there have been issues with the G8X not getting fullHD, L1 or not.
The reason why I currently suspect Netflix is that I started using it quite recent on my V60 (around the suspected time of the L3 downgrade). And I had checked DRM info before I started using it. I did downloading using the app and also traveling between countries, and also have NordVPN installed (but not used with Netflix).
I have used an old APK of Netflix on my V20s, denying updates. All my V20s (1x stock Nougat and 3x stock Oreo) are still on L1. I used to watch Netflix on the V20s on a big 1440P monitor (through a hub with HDMI) and headphones on the QuadDAC.
But more recently an Xbox One S had my preference, due to nice 1440P upscaling it offers.
Equalizer Pro (best bass booster for headphones and ear plugs.
My setup | Equalizer Deep | bass 55% virtualize 0% | volume 40% volume boost 0% to prevent static sounds and volume going to high). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=music.amplifier.volume.booster.equalizer
Hatoshi on Amazon. They even include an installation frame for a clean installation. It's a 3 pack. I love it so far!

I'm using DevCheck, but CPU Monitor seems to be the more popular one on this sub.
Hey our friend from Tbilisi, Georgia!
I don't use Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Oculus or anything from Zuckerjerk myself, So I can't help you with hands-on experience.
The message writes about "embedded browser". I wonder why that is. Have you already tried making other browsers the default browser on your V60? E.g. use Brave, Firefox Focus or Avast Secure Browser rather than Chrome?
Also, in any of these browsers (including Chrome) have you tried selecting Desktop site from the ...-menu? This typically presents the website similar to what you can see on a Windows PC.
Also have you tried using a VPN? Be careful with free VPN apps, as they can contain malware or spyware. I was thinking more in the lines of NordVPN or recommended VPNs that offer a free trial period
It could be that something is blocking you on a network level in the connection between your V60 and the internet.

It was the least expensive 512GB U3 A2 V30 card I could find.
You can force it to high impedance mode by attaching a
to a
plug both in the LG v20 without plugging in your SundaRA.
Then after both adapters are in, detach the 80 ohm resistance adapter leaving just the L shape afapter.
Finally plug in the Sundara to the 3.5mm L shape adapter.
Bingo high impedance mode
I learned this from a thread on a hiFi forum.
These came with the screen protector. Overall decent quality. Not sure if that is what you're looking for

I got this one. It was pretty easy to do.
Yup. There are beveled/radiused edges on every modern phone screen. I've experienced the 'plus' on a a few that I tried and the unadhered edges annoyed me. I've used the film protectors because they were edge to edge.
With my V60 I took a chance and bought these, and have been pretty happy with them. They aren't edge to edge but they stop before the:radius and are adhered all around the edge. You can feel the edge when using gestures but they're smooth and not a problem

I took this quest and got it done! :D
I wrote everything down because I have a short memory. Here goes.
How to completely get rid of the ugly widgets on home screen for the Demo phone .
I successfully removed the annoying widget on 3.21.22 using edb and fastboot. The best part is the navigation bar stays! I hate gesture.
Start edb
*Important
First
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.lge.ldumanger
It should say success!
Second
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.lge.gallery.lduwidget
It should say success!
Reboot the phone in adb. Just type adb reboot (optional. I did it like the retail removal just to be safe)
(Device Info: System & CPU Info) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ytheekshana.deviceinfo ^ Note: Use the app call Device info to see the name of widget via All apps > system > scroll down to find lge LDU manager, click on it to see it full name.
I found out my is call com.lge.gallery.lduwidget
Use the app call Universal Copy to copy the name of the widget to prevent misspelling.

I hope I'm not late to help. I recently got the LG V60 because I heard LG is not making any more phones 😥

Lots of V20 batts out there, but these extended are my fave. They work great and last a good long while.
I have one of those cables I used on my old MSI, but it would also work on my old MZ-N505.

As you can see, it's only useful for something with toslink out, like a TV. As far as interfacing with the V60 digitally there's no way that wouldn't involve additional conversion, completely obviating any benefit of using optical or the DAC in the V60. A little RCA to toslink converter box so you can use the above cable is about $20.
22 years ago when I bought the Sony (before MP3 player, alternative was a portable MP3 discman) it came with itunes-like software that would build the AAC library and transfer over usb. If you search, there are a variety of hacks to move certain files from a PC, and also to run the original software in compatibility mode. But aside from recording live performances, radio broadcasts, the thing was basically useless as a recorder--no way to burn to MD without going through Sony's software. If you want to try to play with this you'll need a mini USB cable, easy to find. It would also be much easier with an older XP PC if you have one.
To sum it all up, MD was the technology that made me never buy a Sony product again. I tried the ipod and later ipad and same thing--I will not buy any of these crippled devices that don't have accessible file systems.
The biggest thing was the mic jack made this a great device for live recording--there is no ability to digitally pull the resulting files back to the PC. And second to that, no optical out, just in.
BTW I'm assuming you're talking about a MD Walkman. The decks have more capabilities but if you snagged one for $1 you're lucky indeed. If nothing else you can resell it, they've held value on ebay, good luck.
