To help with the screen time out. Look for caffeine. It keeps the screen on for set periods. You can add it to your quick tiles. Very useful. I use it when cooking and need to follow a recipe.
I use this one.
You mean a quick setting that lets you keep the screen awake for a certain amount of time? If thats the case, you could use this Caffeinate, or you can use Tiles which has a lot more quick setting toggles.
After Nougat, every app can create tiles. So not essentially required to be done by Google. Just use - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate&hl=en_IN Caffeinate – Apps on Google Play
Caffeinate to extend my screen timeout, when looking at recipes and things like that.
But I'm looking for more ideas, like you.

You can add a quick toggle with this app and have it keep your screen on for a designated amount of time or "infinitely".
There's an app for that! Caffeinate let's you add a Quick Tile that you tap when you want to manually increase the screen timeout. You can configure it to default to a certain time limit on first tap, and to increase by a custom amount each subsequent tap. Great and simple utility app. /u/dudeman1996, you might be interested in this if you only need your screen to stay on during certain activities.

You could try an app like Caffeinate. Lets you temporarily stop the phone screen from timing out for a selected period of time. You can also cancel it from the notification panel when you're done.

Doesn't really solve it through Instagram, but might be another option.
Caffeinate: Create a Tile in your Quick Settings Notification bar. You can setup default awake time. Its FREE and NO ADs :)

I have the exact same complaint that you do. I use Caffeinate and it works well. I just added the Sound Profile quick setting and use that to change it to Vibrate whenever I put it in the Sound profile.
I attempted to replicate the Caffeine tile in CM13. It's still in beta, and I made it purely to play around with the new API (and it's my first public app in the Play Store! Woo!).
It also has a tile to change the sound profile between vibrate and normal. I added that in because I found it to be handy, and am surprised we don't have it yet :P
Using an app like Notify & Fitness will give you control over the zones, so you can customize them and color code them as you like. Also, when the workout is active, the pulse will show up larger on your phone. Use something like Caffeinate to keep the screen on:

Fixing the sensor itself might be a bigger problem. Sometimes it just doesn't seem to work right. Of course, clean the back of the Band and make sure it's Bluetooth link is active. Also, it can't be too loose or too tight because it's basically snapping a picture of your skin. Hair might interfere too. Maybe it's just a placebo, but it seems like rebooting the Band helps.
>Caffeinate - quick tile to change how long your screen stays active for. I have my phone auto lock after 15 seconds but I can use this to keep it open longer without changing settings.
Do this work on android 10 devices? A lot of other similar apps stopped working after android 10 update. Checked on pixel 2 and realme 5 pro and realme 6.
If you use an android phone for recipes, I use this app caffeinate which adds a pull-down setting to extend or disable the timeout, so you can just leave your recipe up for 30 minutes or until you turn it off. Paired with a popsocket on my fridge, it's right at eye level!
Yeah, this had been bothering me a lot. Literally all my other gacha games have the "keep screen awake" option or are permanently with screen on even when the game is idle. This is the first time in 5+ years of mobage that I've encountered such an important QoL feature missing.
I've managed a partial fix by using Caffeinate and putting the switch in my quick tiles menu, but I tend to forget to turn it on/off.
These days, Google is much stricter on app devs so it's up to them to uphold usability. Google maps should have the nessisary wakelock to circumvent the local setting, but it will only be active when in navigation mode. I don't use the stock Youtube app but would expect it to have a wakelock somewhere, possibily only in fullscreen.
To remidy the issue, you could use Tasker and it's Keyboard action to press a non-impacting key every 9 minutes or a Run Shell action with input tap x x
You could also explore some of the caffeine style apps which I would expect just set a service with a wake lock. You'll need something that can be run by Tasker such as via a launcher icon or shortcut like possibly Caffeinate or better, something that receives an intent like No Screen Off - though might need to explore some others as device specific.
Galaxy S8, S9, Note 7(aka grenade), Note 8, Note 9 all have an Iris scanner. S10 ditched it since the fingerprint scanner is on the front.
There are apps like Caffeinate that can keep your screen on. You can set the amount of time that it works, then just click a quick tile to activate. I prefer Tasker for making custom functions like that, but it comes with a lot more power and thus more complicated to set up.
Caffeinate adds a tile to keep your screen on for a longer period.
Radiodroid is a nice Internet radio listening app.
Any particular type of tools you're looking for?
Most definitely a precautionary step to limit burn-in. But an alternative to maximize the screen timeout is to use something like Caffeinate on the Play Store as it allows you to keep the screen on for a long time
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate&hl=en if you run android nougat,it quicksetting toggle

You can install the quick settings tile from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate

I too love this.
Prevents your screen from going to sleep for a set period of time, or indefinitely.
Edit: Caffeinate
Caffeinate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate No-frills screen on timer
This if you don't mind keeping your phone on charging.
This is the one I use however there are others as well.
> Caffeinate
I didn't know, so I used Google:
I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate
It adds a tile in the notification shade. When you activate it, it will keep the display awake for 5 minutes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate
I really like the app
Just do what I did and use Caffeinate to keep the device awake. It works even if your device has policies to prevent it.
I use Caffeinate for this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate
What's the difference between caffeine and ? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate
You can use this app to toggle between vibrate and sound in the quick settings! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.omnicron.caffeinate
I believe this app works
