big thing i miss about xposed is the FSBI module. i run a blacked out theme on my 6P with white accents, so i used FSBI to tweak static elements like status bar icons every few weeks so the same pixels weren't always full blast white while surrounded by black pixels. i would switch the alignment (move clock left/center/right), spacing, or shift the icons over a few mm to have them displayed on different pixels.
hopefully this is built into UI tuner someday, it not only avoids burn in but makes for perfectly aligned, perfectly sized, super clean status bar icons.
i avoid nav bar burn in with expanded desktop + pie controls. i don't have friends so keyboard burn in has never been an issue for me.
~~Not an Xposed module, but~~ Flat Style Bar Indicators (Including the free version) can do this.
Edit:It is an Xposed module
You mean, the order of the preset icons? (battery, WiFi etc.) If that's what you mean, Flat Style Bar Indicators allows you to do that. (Play Store link)

Flat Style Bar Indicators
too many options for every icon possible plus awesome customization plus internet traffic meter.
worth every cent if u decide to go for the other icon styles.
needs xposed though
This is a long shot but does anyone use this with Flat Style Bar Indicators? I really like Chrooma but it causes my navigation bar color to freak out: example. I think it might be a problem with Chrooma unfortunately because FSBI can match the color of Minuum when its on Chameleon mode (similar to what Chrooma does)
A better alternative for customizing the status bar is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi this xposed module (at least in my opinion).
Edit: here is a screenshot of my status bar http://i.imgur.com/JDyAOiQ.jpg
I'm using a custom rom. (Phoenix) but if you have xposed you could use this paid app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi
In fact, I bought it yesterday and it is much better.
I suggest rooting, installing Xposed, and then using the Flat Style Bar Indicators module. (Google Play) While it isn't the most lightweight solution, it opens up options for customization in many other sectors of the phone, so I think it's worth it.
It's no problem. Just comment if you come into any problems.
I used an xposed module called "Flat Style Bar Indicators"
Thanks! It's a xposed module called flat style bar indicators.
ya'll motherfuckers need flat style bar indicators!
my current setup with FSBI, just eyeballed it until i was happy with it can only do permanent icons like battery, clock, cell/data, etc... can't mess with notification icons like you see on the left. i tend to keep all notifications cleared 99% of the time so it doesn't really bother me.
if you're rooted there is a great xposed module called flat style bar indicators that allows you to hide/show/move/resize icons around. it's really useful if you care about small details like inconsistent spacing or sizing on icons in the status bar.
you can also change the placement, size, and icons in the status bar using the xposed module flat style bar indicators. i change my icons up once a month or so to prevent white pixels surrounded by black displaying for extended periods.

kernel manager is the main reason i root. i like to set a custom color temp, set power saving/performance profiles, underclock, set wake/sleep/launch gestures, tweak the speakers, and monitor wakelocks.
the only must have xposed modules for me on 6.0+ are custom status bar icons, because i like having everything perfectly spaced apart and consistently sized using flat style bar indicators. gravity box is great too but nothing i require.

This question is asked almost every week, so here's my standard answer, maybe there are some things you like, too :D
I recommend rooting your device. You'll get much more options and can do much more and easier and can solve your problems and issues, (also first world problems :p )
Here are features and apps I installed, really just a few ;p
Flat style bar indicators is what you're looking for. You can go a step further than just using the stock icons.

Root/rom is as easy as making a cake. just read up on the tutorial on xda and follow steps. totally worth the time investment IMO. i am not huge on custom roms, i prefer stock+xposed to get things how i like them without a bunch of stuff i don't use.
i'll give you my big reasons for root and going full r/xdacirclejerk .
ad blocking, including in apps thanks to adaway.
System wide + 3rd party theming thanks to substratum. looks better and saves battery life with black themes on an OLED display like the 6P's.
Avoiding burn in. i use pie controls instead to avoid nav bar burn in. i also use an xposed module called Flat Style bar indicators to change/move/remove icons from the status bar so they're not always wearing out the same pixels. you'll see in this screenshot and the other i've changed stuff around.
I also map long press functions to the back/home/recents keys. i have expand notifications, voice search, and switch last app mapped to long presses.
xposed modules like powernap and amplify to control battery draining wakelocks, combined with ForceDoze gives me pretty amazing standby that rivals an iphone. maybe even better, 600 minutes without losing a single percent of battery is insane, though not typical.
Custom kernel like EX when paired with a kernel control app allows for high brightness mode to get the 6P as bright as a Note 5 or S6 amoled in outdoor bright light, color calibration to fix the yellowish whites, and wake/sleep gestures because power buttons are for suckers.
Titanium backup to remove google apps i don't use. Slide across status bar to adjust brightness, double tap status bar to sleep, and probably more stuff i'm forgetting.
if you're planning on holding on to an amoled device long term and want to make sure you avoid uneven pixel wear i've been using pie controls in place of the nav bar swipe in from the right edge and they pull up instantly. For status bar i switch up the status bar icons, size, position, and alignment every month or so using the xposed module flat style bar indicators i love how i can scale and space everything out perfectly to my liking, no more misaligned status bar icons!
pie is great for one handed useage, mine are setup with gravitybox. long press back button activates a reachability clone called niwatori long press home for search, and long press recents to switch to last open app makes using a giant phone much easier.
I use this app don't know they they have the battery icon you want but they have a couple different nice ones https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi
Thank you. The status bar is an xposed module called flat bar style

You need root and Xposed though.
If you have xposed, Flat Style Bar Indicators for changing the status bar.
i use pie controls instead to avoid nav bar burn in. i also use an xposed module called Flat Style bar indicators to change/move/remove icons from the status bar so they're not always wearing out the same pixels. you'll see in this screenshot and the other i've changed stuff around.
nah, it's only on for a few minutes. most i've ever had it on was probably 10 minutes, as it's obviously not something you want to leave on for extended periods.
i might not be the best example for subpixel issues on OLED displays as i use pie controls instead of the stock nav keys and also use an xposed module to rearrange, change size, and change icon elements in the status bar every few months.
root > Xposed > Flat Style Bar Indicators
Get root and install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi for Xposed framework. In full version you can choose any icpns you want.
Few favorites i didn't see suggested.
flat style bar indicators - Tweak status bar icons to your hearts content. icons, position, x/y axis alignment, scaling, justify left/center/right, and allows you to get perfect even spaces between each icon. if you're a symmetry fiend it's a godsend, and a bonus is you can move them around every few weeks to avoid uneven pixel wear on OLED screens.
flat style colored bars. Tinted status bar module that can change color dynamically with content on screen so you always have a color matched SB. option to remove the tint so it looks like the status bar is part of the app or webpage. Stock android tints the bar, but it's not dynamic and will give you a mismatched status bar color in some scenarios.
power nap - similar to the old school sony stamina mode. blocks all wakelocks from an app unless you whitelist it. WL phone and texting app, and you'll get stable low idle drain without missing and texts or phone calls. worked great in the 5.0 and 6.0 days. Development died off but it worked as intended.
Flat Style Bar Indicators alternative for Nougat? Seriously, the only reason I stay in MM. :(
Xposed required though.
You can try this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi Root and xposed needed.
i use pie controls instead of stock nav keys to avoid nav bar burn in. i also use an xposed module called Flat Style bar indicators to change/move/remove icons from the status bar so they're not always wearing out the same pixels. you'll see in this screenshot and the other i've changed stuff around.
other benefits is pie controls give me more on screen content as well as mapping long press functions. i have long press back to expand notifications, long press home to launch directly into voice search, and long press recents to switch to last app. FSBI lets me have a much cleaner status bar that also lines up the icons position the same as the notification tray when expanded.
Check this out if you're rooted and run xposed. Same Dev has another module for the notification panel
I'm not sure what your question is, so I'll list a few options that are related:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/tk.wasdennnoch.androidn_ify
Flat Style Bar - this has an option to change the number of visible notifications in your status bar (top left of your screen). For instance, you can set a maximum of only 5 icons in your status bar, and then show all when you expand the notification tray. Root and Xposed Framework required.
