Dirtysanta, im on a VS995. Went back to 13a with the KDZ and rooted it that way. I'm probably going to go back to nougat because overlay apps no longer work over the statusbar/notification pulldown (breaks Status completely and makes apps like twilight that dim my screen at night less effective and almost blinds me when I pull down the notifications) and the clear all apps button was moved to directly above the home button, the worst possible place to put it. Clearing all your apps all the time is a terrible habit and it seems like LG wants to encourage that behavior or something.
Not great but there's Status https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status if I'm correct it's basically an app that runs on top of the status bar. No root required. I used it for a few hours and didn't seem worth it to me, and it crashed once. Not sure if it supports custom theming as it's been a while since I tried it
Status Free, no IAP
Status is a status bar replacement that draws an overlay on top of the system-generated status bar. This means that the actual status bar is only hidden under the replacement; touch gestures are not overridden, and the standard notification panel is still shown. It needs a lot of permissions in order to obtain the information needed to display in the status bar.
If you want to complete the pixel look, use a substratum theme for a pixel / stock android nav bar then use Status https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status And Material notification shade https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.treydev.mns For the complete pixel look

Try this, it's an app called status. I now have my time, day, and date centered in my status bar. It shows 10:32 Mon 05/15/2017 spaced accordingly in the status bar on my note 5.

If you want to have the status bar act like this too (no root) you can use Status. it's pretty much the same with a lot of similar options except you can customize icon placement and size and things like that
You can try Status. It's a status bar replacement app that draws a new bar on top of the existing status bar. You can disable the notification icon from there.
I found an app called Status that I use to get stock Android icons on Oxygen OS. Works without root but you need to disable the system icons using System UI Tuner, which requires ADB.
Status (An overlay-based statusbar replacement) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status

Unfortunately inconpatible with some phones.
No NAV bar and no status bar via adb method https://ibb.co/mBK5vS
Status bar replaced with Status app. Time in right corner. Network name and notifications in left corner. It's transparent over any app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Using all in one gestures app. Swipe from right side goes back. And swipe from left side goes Home. This way even with keyboard open, I can still go back/home.
I don't know of a way without replacing your status bar (assuming unrooted). If you are willing to do that, Status would accomplish this.
Assuming the S8 doesn't allow immersive mode (don't own one so I don't know), and you want to mess with ADB, you could also enable immersive mode with SystemUI Tuner.
SystemUI Tuner, as previously mentioned, is a good answer, but if you want to avoid root and ADB, Status can do this.
Snowball can also alter your status bar/notifications, but it's dead and no longer in the Play Store so you'd have to download the apk elsewhere.
does she want the big Carrier name on the left too j/k
you need root for it, for right now till someone figures it out
you can use this app, i haven't personally used it though but it seems to do the job, the clock at least. seems like just an overlay not a real solution
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
i believe there's also ios style ones
This app gave me some different icon options as well removing the carrier name and other tidbits from my notification screen. It may help

I like it. I too am a fan of semi transparent white font on light backgrounds, as it doesn't distract from the picture. But a few might find there's not enough contrast there, but it's down to preference.
One thing that is bit jarring is the black status bar text and the rest of the text on screen being white. There are two options ot overcome this if you care enough about it. One is to hide the statsbar using a launcehr such as Nova. The other is to use a statsbar replacement like Status which allows you to reskin/alert the status bar without root.
I'm personally not the biggest fan of the ios-like icons, but again that's obviously down to preference. So great job.
The only app I can recommend is Status which lets you choose which icons show, and have more control with the transparency, and colors.
It's funny how the grass is always greener.

Pixel users would love such an easy way to view the battery percentage.
If you want to completely customize your status bar Hey an app called status from the play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
You can try Status, it doesn't require root.
Status let you customize the bar by app. Also you can configure to change the icons and the position.
The closest to accomplishing this is Snowball, Status, and Material Status Bar.
If you just want a clean look, maybe Clean Status Bar.
Not a perfect solution, but this app is an overlay that allows you to adjust the position of the icons and clock
[Status](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status)
The font I dowbloaded from an apk on androidthemes. It's orignal sans
see if this helps
You might want to consider trying out Status. It lets you customize the status bar of your phone.
Try Status. It's a status bar overlay. Doesn't work completely flawless but maybe it's good enough for you.
You can try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Is this the Status App? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status&hl=en
You could also use Status: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Not without root.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status would work for you if you don't mind the jank.
Maybe rooted? or they use Status.
You can block notifications from each app, but you might not want to lose all notifications from those apps in the future?
There was an app mentioned in one of the Android subreddits that was similar to Snowball, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe someone else here remembers it? It replaced your notification shade and bar with its own. EDIT: Found it.
I can't speak to their quality, but these appear to do what you want: Status and Hide Notifications.
I believe it's achieved with an app called Status
This app let's you customize the status bar pretty thoroughly no root https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Currently there is no Xposed for Nougat. Try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
This: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
But it doesn't work on Oreo or Pie, due to Google removing the ability for apps to cover the status bar.
In the meantime, an app like this might be a temporary fix. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
But I also saw this on another thread minutes ago, no root
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Link to Status?
Edit: Is it this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Use Status https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status And Material notification shade https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.treydev.mns For the complete pixel look
Did you try status?. Its not at all the best solution, but it's something
You probably have older version of Android. Mine is default. Try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Try this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Ps- haven't tried it myself but tell me if it works !
This should work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Let's you customize icon colors
I haven't used it myself, but there's an app called "Status" that allows you to customize the status bar to your liking.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status
Good lock is a must have IMO
Also if you want to customize your status bar, I recommend the Status app.
