I ride a motorcycle in everything but snow, so I watch the weather pretty closely. I've tried essentially every weather app for an extended period of time, focusing primarily on precipitation, radar (especially future), and temperature. Comparing future and current information from many of them and then testing it, I've found The Weather Channel to be the most reliable. I absolutely hate to say that because the app is horrible. But, I can't deny it's kept me warmer and drier than other weather apps.
For more casual weather checks, I just use the Google weather shortcut.
>You should feel safe and confident downloading an app from the Playstore.
The app in question in this story was available for download direct from the Google Play store until yesterday and had been there for months.
for example The Weather Channel App which has been downloaded over 1.75 million times from the Google Play Store and is still currently offered on Google Play.
It was accused last week by the District Attorney in Los Angles of illegally selling user information.

For an app 99% of people just want to tell them the forecast to know if they should bring an umbrella to work, is it really necessary to expose all your confidential information in your calendar, access to your Facebook and gmail, it has the right to connect on its own to any wifi it wants to and transmit and receive anything it has read off your confidential calendar and your gps location at any time from you phone to anyone it wants to?
Does it really need to be able to do that just to be able to tell you the forecast ?
How to do this on the same app used in image
1.Download weather app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weather.Weather)
2.Another unit that you don’t see very often unless you dabble in the world of science is Kelvin, and a free jailbreak tweak called 4000 Degrees Kelvin by iOS developer Sniper_GER unlocks this temperature unit throughout iOS (https://www.idownloadblog.com/2017/12/14/4000-degrees-kelvin/)
Only IOS
> the Samsung-only Weather Channel app.
you sure it's not the same as this one?

Hey there!
There are different kinds of weather apps that specialise on the details that you want to see. For example, do you need a simple app (for temparature and precipitation) or a detailed weather app (humidity, dew point, swells and exc.)
What do you prefer the app for : vacation, sports or maybe you`re just interested?
Any weather app is diffrent from one another and has it`s own pros. Here are some weather apps :
Weather channel - an app with a simple interface that will allow you to understand the weather conditions right now. With some short video forecasts and predictions.
1Weather - App with the range of Android widgets that are useful and flexible. A really easy app to track the daily forecasts for your current location.
Marine Weather Forecast - A deitailed presentation of marine weather information for boaters and yachtsmen. Has a great deal of futures and easy to use charts.
Spot Assist Skydiving Tool - This app provides very useful information for skydivers, paragliders, parachute pilotes about exit areas, wind status, weather conditions and more!
Windy.app - a very detailed weather app that allows to track weather info 10 days prior. Has it`s own weather history for every location on the planet. There, you can catch up with a closest meteostation to you and observe on the phone it`s indicators. But that`s no it. A very detailed weather forecast will help to plan the next trip, and if you do sports, it will advise you the sizes for your sport equipment on the following days.
As I said earlier, any app choise depends on what you need it for. Take care!
