I may be wrong because I'm going from memory, but if I remember correctly, there was a huge crime perception problem (e.g. the same thing that happened with the Mall of Memphis). Once Tower Records went out of business nationally (which, IIRC, caused the Peabody Place store to close), the idea that the mall was further going downhill spread. It was rumored that kids were constantly running around unsupervised, lots of loitering, etc. I remember they put in a "code of conduct" that specifically targeted black Memphians, and places started leaving when attendance and sales went down considerably.

According to some of my friends that have been running the Wolf River trails for over 25 years, it used to go all the way to Collierville Arlington. Parts would get a bit shiggy, but would clear up a little way down the trial.

Majestic Ashlar Hall. Like Memphis it's largely inscrutable to outsiders. It's known to be haunted as well as cursed by its previous owner. No subsequent owner has been able to do anything with the building; there plans go to rot - such is the ferocity of that madman's ill will!

It was Dr. R.B. Maury Elementary School that was apparently located at 272 North Bellevue Blvd. I'll see if I can find more info and add it in an edit if I do.

as far as stuff to do I'd have to know what your in to. A good resource to start is the Memphis Flyer online. They have a pretty comprehensive list of the goings on in the city. Try and eat at Gus' and BBQ shop or Central BBQ will be really consistent.

The Stax museum is cool as well as Sun studio.

I have one of those and I'd recommend complementing it with an ice scraper because of the plastic bucket. You can hit ice layer straight down to cut it in "tiles", then scrape it or pick it up with the shovel.

I check the modqueue several times a day to check reports and things caught in the spam filter. I have an ifttt rule set up to notify me on my phone of new posts to /r/memphis so I can at least have an idea of what all is going on. I come directly to /r/memphis less often than modqueue, but at least once or twice most days unless there's something interesting that I'm following more closely, but I do try to hit /r/memphis/new and /r/memphis/comments when I do to see if there's anything I'm missing.

I mostly use Sync on mobile these days, and it has okay mod features (modqueue, approve/remove things, flair posts). I haven't found an app that has great mod features yet. Nothing comes close to what /r/toolbox offers on desktop.

Because people are very ignorant about how weather is reported and what it actually means. The % are meant to describe rain coverage over an area not specifically if it will rain in your spot. You need to look at the forecast hour by hour and not some basic "50% chance of rain each day this week". Or a little icon of a rain storm on your iPhone. Too many people seem to think it's that simple.

You need to also learn how to read a radar and understand the movement of storm systems in your area.

I went with this one because it was the best value for having 4k in the front-facing camera, as well as having a rear camera also. You can get a lot nicer ones, but the price goes up fast after this for what I feel is diminishing returns. You can get a really good one for cheaper if you don't have to have a rear-facing camera, but in Memphis I want that angle covered as well for traffic accidents (and for some great general Memphis footage).

It also helps to try and figure out what may be the cause of your pain. Do you rotate wearing various types and styles of shoes through the week? 1. For noise, try buying some HEPA Air Filters and placing throughout your home. Not only are they great white noise, but you'll have cleaner air in your home!

You could probably do it, I don't think you need attic access. You should be able to run the cables along the wall, they make a plastic rectangular tube that you can push wire through, just run it along the corners to make it look flush.

The filters have an efficiency of 95%. I agree that any mask is better than none. But some masks are just better than others.

My yard gets hit by moles/voles every 2-3 years. This year it was mass attack on my yard. To the point there were so many tunnels, it would rain and my yard was walking on a sponge. (Yet not drowning the critters).

Very happy with it for the price, running the wires took some time but wasn't hard. Has an app to view by phone. Day video is great and night vision is good.

Off Leash K9 did wonders for our pups. We had one that was extremely reactive to any and all other dogs, and now they have been able to successfully interact with other dogs as well as enjoy stress free walks. In the meantime, have you considered a muzzle for your pup? I'm going to post what we were recommended, but it should be implemented under the supervision of a trainer.

(There may be a newer version of this model; it was recommended by some site like Wired or Gizmodo.)

I buy mine on Amazon. They're cheap and come rolled up and expand into a totally normal mattress. Not sure what price point you're looking at, but for $140 this is pretty decent.

I'm a big fan of Proraso products myself. They are easy to lather, smell great, and last a long time. I've had my most recent tube for over 6 months. They do make a soap for sensitive skin here. It's also available in a tube if you prefer that. You might could try Sephora in the mall as well. Supposedly they sell some decent shave soaps but I've never checked myself. Hopefully that helps you out! :)

That's very weird. I've never seen that connector type (mine is for sure the standard power connector, dual G5).
