Yep! They've got an iOS app and Android app
They do have an app for android! but i rarely use it, not from the US tho so i can still use WeChat.
edit: bruh who the hell downvoted me, they literally have an app for Android
Go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en periodically and check if it's been updated.
Hi there! What platform are you on when you see this issue (Android, desktop, iOS, etc)? There's a known issue with the Android application where MACE fails under certain conditions, and we've added some additional coverage in the 1.6 beta that should resolve this. You can sign up for the beta directly through the Google Play store.
Private Internet Access is fast, inexpensive, keeps no logs, has a great adblocker and allows user to bypass certain apps so Netflix etc... Work.
A VPN would definitely help as this attack is used as MITM and evasdropping, a service I trust is Private Internet Access: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en
It is a paid service.
Another mitigation factor may be stop using sensitive data on your mobile device, for example I have banking apps on my phone which I wont use until things get properly patched.
> Can it be configured to work with a seedbox/private trackers?
I normally use it for public trackers, the only private tracker i have use it on is in http://www.pleasuredome.org.uk/ and i didn't have any problem, but it might be blocked or not allowed in certains private trackers I don't know.
About the seedbox, i don't understand, a seedbox is a server that downloads and seeds for you, i don't understand what you mean with working with a seedbox. If you have a seedbox you don't need a torrent client :S You simply download the finished downloads of the seedbox with ftp or something like this. They are two separate things or I'm missing something? I never used a seedbox.
> would a VPN and public trackers be the better option in this case? And if VPN is the way to go, can you weigh in on PIA?
About vpn , I have 0 experience with that but i checked and PIA has an Android Application for their vpn: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android but as I said I have 0 experience with that.
There was a recent hermitcraft video about using a VPN specifically to improve performance for this reason. I use PIA VPN https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android and it shows me to sign into my realm. So that might be an answer to any lag.
Well I'll just ignore the snarky remarks, to remind you (as you clearly need reminding) that PIA support is grossly slow or lacking, and posting a problem here is more likely to be helpful. it also serves as a heads up for others, who might wind up with a similar issue. Anyway, it looks like a glitch in the latest mobile app update, as indicated by numerous complaints in PIA reviews, such as:
"I use this vpn on my desktop without any issues but it will not let me log in on the mobile app. Tried relogging with the same information on desktop and it works. Mobile app will not work."
And this is definitely the case for me, as PIA runs perfectly find on my laptop, but not on my tablet. The review page is here:
You should be able to access the login portal right away as u/thelous says. If you don't see what they do I would check that you are using OUR app. there have been some clones on the app store recently. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en
We have recently released an update to the Android application (1.4) are you still experiencing these issue with the most recent update?
Just FYI, many popular VPN has an android app available in play store with in-app-purchase. So you don't need a credit-card to buy a subscription. For example, PIA.
Yes, the same version 0.2.8 works smoothly for me on my Nexus 6, my Nexus 9, and my Ubuntu MATE PC. I'm also running PIA VPN at the same time with no issues. You could try running it through PIA to see if that helps.

I'm not sure why it isn't showing up for your machine. Here's a link to the play store version. I'm not sure if this will be any help to you or not. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en
I'm a fan of Private Internet Access.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en_US
It's fast, reliable, and they don't log your activity.
Firstly, VPN does not offer much in the way of security. I say that as a VPN user myself.
Moving on to you actual question, PIA has an app on the playstore which you can use.
You can also download the OpenVPN configuration files off of PIA's website and use the OpenVPN app to access your VPN server.
Another option is Wireguard but I don't know if PIA has wireguard support or not. If you have a custom kernel with support for wireguard that may be your best option as it has minimal impact on your battery life.
Edit: Also read this.
PIA is a VPN that has a really good mobile app. Your username and password work on the desktop or mobile no problem. Its only about $40 a year and can be paid for anonymously. They also collect no data, this has been legally tested several times now.
So all you would need to do is run PIA on your phone, then run Hulu, then screencast.
Here is a site to buy Hulu gift cards that uses paypal (pay pal can buy internationally for you).
What you'll end up doing is running a VPN of some sort. All root gets you is hosts-file blocking, which is a bit more elegant and simple, but it isn't the only way to skin a rabbit. VPN permits full access to the data traffic streams. Catch being some very specific apps hate VPN connections even if they're legitimate network access VPNs (I know of Time Warner Cable's streaming app for example).
3 options at a minimum I know of:
A) DNS66. This is a FOSS app on XDA recently released. Advantages-Fast, and it is $$ free. Minimal measurable impact on battery. Disadvantages-APK downloads frequently are blocked due to Nougat's design...so you have to disable the VPN (a a long tap) to updates Play apps etc, and then re-enable it (Another long tap). Simple stupid design. Free to use and try. New app, but the developer is very active.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/themes/dns66-adblocker-unrooted-t3489976 with further links
B) AdGuard. Old reliable. Been around for a long time. Slower than DNS66 IME, chews more battery. It also requires payment to get system-wide adblocking ($10 per year, or $25 for life)...free version is browser only.
https://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/overview.html
C) If you subscribe to Private Internet Access...their app has a built in optional adblocker they call "MACE". Nice thing about their service....Unlike DNS66 or Adguard, PIA isn't just a loopback VPN but a fully featured VPN network of gateways worldwide, which comes in very handy for many uses. Catch being you do pay for it, I think a monthly PIA subscript is $3USD/month now.

***The one exception to the above is the YouTube app, due to how it is coded. The only way to stop YouTube ads is something really invasive like XPosed...OR, just plain don't use the YouTube app....Use SkyTube, instead-which does most of the same basic things and is FOSS https://github.com/ram-on/SkyTube
5 seconds of googling....

I hope this helps!
This is the correct PIA correct? :)

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you not just download directly from the Play Store?

PIA ONE OF BEST VPN https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android
So what? But for everyone else there is untracked VPN.
Have you tried installing their app? Setup was dead simple for me, just username and password.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android
There are firewalls for android, but you do not really need them, unless you want to know which apps are calling home.
I would highly recommend getting a VPN Service, and a app that can access it. I have been using Private Internet Access VPN Service (PIA VPN), and I have been quite happy with it.
They have a android app that will connect right to your account with them, and it work great on all my devices. PIA supports 5 devices simultaneously per account. Here is the app in the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateinternetaccess.android&hl=en
Here is PIA VPN https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/android-vpn-app
It makes banking, and sending emails secure on public wifi. For privacy you have to get a VPN. There are many different companies offering VPN service, so you may want to do some research.
Use the apk?

Depending on your router, you may be able to use OpenVPN on it. I do all my VPN routing for devices and websites thru my router.

Of course this routes everything on the device through the VPN. I know some VPN providers have socks 5 proxies too. I've never tried using a VPN addon for just Kodi.
