2 apps I've installed this week.
The new updated wikipedia app is gorgeous.
The next is search for reddit. Basically share any link from any app and it will load up related reddit posts so you can either check for reposts or see reddit discussion on an article/video or photo that you're interested in.
Wikipedia and Commons apps use OSM, the first one has more than 10 million downloads:
Have you tried the app?
I have mine set to always open Wikipedia articles in the app. Not because of the problem you're facing, but because I find it gives a better overall experience.
Download the wikipedia app. It's pretty lightweight and has rather intuitive layout. You should be able to select it as the app that opens all wiki links

Wikipedia actually made an app that lets you group articles in reading lists that can be read offline. Here's the link for Android(I don't know if it's available also on iOS). Sorry to ruin your dreams!
The Wikipedia app has a 'Nearby' feature. If you fancy contributing the Wiki Commons app will show you nearby places that need photos taken of them.
The apps need to be installed for each of these to work. Do you have the Wikipedia app and the DuckDuckGo app installed?
Multiple times!! Often find myself in cool areas, and if the cache listing is sparse on information the native wikipedia app uses your gps location to pull up a wikipedia article about where you are / close to.

Not true. Both the iOS and Android versions of the app are published by the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that keeps Wikipedia's servers (as well as those of Wiktionary, Wikiquote, MediaWiki, etc.) running.
Side note: Most wikis you see are powered by MediaWiki. This includes Jimmy Wales' (the creator and head of Wikimedia's) for-profit website, Wikia (aka FANDOM).
Happy Saturday! Here are some of my favorite / most used apps of late.
The official Wikipedia app is awesome! It has a dark mode, text size controls, a sidebar for quick navigation, and articles can be saved for offline reading! Its really quite nice to use.
If you enjoy changing themes on as much of your phone as me, you might like Calcu. Its a slick calculator app with a bunch of themes, with a regular mode and a few advanced functions as well.
Color Grab is a cool app that uses the camera to pick colors from in front of you and put them into RGB or hex codes. Useful for designers, digital artists, or just for fun.
Melon UI is a bright and colorful icon pack without long shadows. Currently using and I love it.
Last but not least is the Meriam-Webster Dictionary. Works in total offline, previous queries are saved and can be accessed by swiping right after searching and words can be favorited too.

The official one, i've updated my post with the link!
Gibt auch eine App für Android. Kann aber auch nicht sagen, ob das damit besser aussieht.
English Advanced Learner's Dictionary. You should look it up. It's available as hard copy book, PDF and application for Windows, Android and iOS. Check their website and look for some words to know how it works and whether it can be of use for you.
I use mobile applications for reading, watching and listening. I'm sure you already know about YouTube for watching, Netflix for watching movies, App podcasts for listening and here you're on Reddit and you can read about almost whatever you want. But I want to recommend you some tools I'm using and some of them you might not be familiar with.
Wikipedia this is great for reading and getting information and you definitely already know about it has not dawned on some people that they can use Wikipedia for reading in their free time.
IMDB is a great amd popular website that you can read the plot, reviews, facts and goofs written by native speakers on movies. You can go and read in your free time about your favourite movie that you've already seen and it's easy for you to figure out what they're saying since you already know the plot of the movie.
Deezer a great music streaming service that shows you the lyrics of the songs you're listening to with automatically synced lyrics.
Inkitt on this app you can read stories that are longer than short stories but aren't novel.
Some apps you should check out:
