Aside from the obvious physical inspection, if you get a chance to test it first, run Yet Another MultiTouch Test by Real Fiction Factory (there are many multitouch test apps, this happens to be the first one I ever used and it still requires no special permissions).
Run the paint tester and make sure the screen has no dead spots. (just run your fingers all over the screen and make sure the colored dots pop up all over and there are no unresponsive/less responsive areas) I love/loved my G2, but their achilles heel is the touchscreen tends to develop dead spots.
Maybe something is wrong with your digitizer? Try installing a testing utility like this one - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt&hl=en&rdid=com.rn.yamtt. Run the "Touch Tester" and see if there's any phantom touches happening on the top of your screen. If there's nothing, then the only thing I can think of is some app or something somewhere triggering this. Also, does this only happen when using the fingerprint reader? What if you use your pattern?
I have something similar too, just noticeable when typing. I thought it was because of the small screen, but then i got an s7 and the problem isn't there. There may be something wrong with the screen, although it indeed doesn't seem to be very frequent.
Try installing a touch screen tester and using the draw function near the sides with your thumb. Just press on the screen, and if you see any lines joining two of the spots, you'll see if there's indeed a problem.
It is probably because of your device but this app may help I don't know how it works but it has been recommended for someone with same problem as you earlier.. I hope it helped ^ ^
Could you download and try this tool? It allows you to visually see your taps. Should help you determine if it's the game or the phone itself.
Seems like a bad touchscreen issue (it's likely a hardware-side issue which, unfortunately, is not fixable). You can test multitouch with either of the following way:
From here, you can test the functionality of the device's touchscreen and take note of the vertical and horizontal lines of the tester. When I tested some low-end phones (specifically Acer Liquid Z200 and Lenovo A369), I noticed that there's a brief release (and then re-touch again) on one finger when the other finger is released. This is exactly the same problem as you had when I actually tried playing the game.
Multi touch test. The OPO should handle 10 touches just fine. Also test multi touch by dragging 3 fingers across the screen.
General tests including sound and vibration
I don't know about the price but $450 seems a bit steep. I got it for €312 but I live in a supported country so...
I see very little and this app helps me a lot in this function, for me it is good that the coordinates appear on a black background, which helps immensely. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt
That's strange, mine doesn't have that problem. I'm able to move my thumb anywhere outside of the joystick and it continues to only move the joystick around.
Sounds like you're having an issue with your device registering multiple touches. What kind of device do you have? If it's an Android, there's an app called YAMTT (Yet Another Multi Touch Test) that is used to test how many simultaneous touches your device can handle. Try that out and see if you have any issues touching the screen in more than 2-3 places.
This problem could be device-specific as well. I used to have a Nexus 7, and it had problems with registering multitouch. I used this app to specifically see how my presses were registering.
I'd google your device name and something like "touchscreen issues" or the like to see if anyone else is complaining, and see if there's a fix.
Does running on low 2D graphics or a power saving mode help at all? That could also isolate if it's a device issue or a game-being-too-powerful issue.
Try using this app to determine if it's hardware or software issues.
If it registers your touches, it may just be a bug.
Factory resettting your phone may help if it isn't an hardware issue.
Scrolling has been pretty buttery smooth for me. Only exception was initially when it was doing a ton of updates and occasionally I see a little stutter right after talking a photo while it is processing hdr.
Have you checked if your touch digitizer is working properly? I can't find it now but there was another post on here (or maybe r/nexus) where someone had a faulty digitizer. Touch input was not smooth at all for them. Download this app to check it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt
I had an almost identical problem. My guess is the digitizer is going out. See if you can install a touch screen test program like this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt&hl=en
And see if there are any irregularities.
In short, since my phone is out of warranty (bought it about 15 months ago) I ended up getting an LG G4.
If you have android, this app might help figure out if it's a touch screen issue. I have problems with two close holds dropping if my phone isn't plugged in, but never anything like your issue.
I've been using this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt
Yet Another MultiTouch Test, you can find it here.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt Give this a try and try touching on the very bottom of the screen, you simply won't be able to do =/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt
Install this and tell me if you can get Y coordinate to show below 24
Same for me! It's very noticeable while scrolling. Try this app, click on paint test and post the results as a screenshot here.

It might have to do with the input accuracy of the touch screen. Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt and try to make a grid pattern.
If it's Android tablet, you might wanna test your tablet's touchscreen with this app and see how it actually detects the touch.
