Do yourself a favor and get some tablet or liquid concentrate. You always have it on hand when you need fluid, and way cheaper than buying jugs.
I've used these tablets for a few years, and like them: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FF76KM (currently $10 for 25 tablets = $0.40 per gallon) Typically the one tablet per gal works just fine, but I add an extra one in during love bug season.
Or this liquid, which I might try the next time I see it come back in stock from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B001NZFCRW (typically $10 for 13 gal worth of concentrate = $0.75 per gallon)
The storm catagory should determine if you stay or go. A one or two I would stay...three or more I leave, even being mainland.
Power usually goes out so you'll need lighting. With a baby I don't recommend candles (I don't recommend them at all, actually) but I highly recommend these lanterns. Other helpful things from a long-timer:
Make sure you have enough batteries/chargers for all devices. A portable, battery-powered radio is a must for local info.
Extra baby things, like diapers, food, etc. Also extra medicine if you take prescriptions or other things daily.
Some folks say three days of water, I usually go with five to be safe. I save soda bottles, wash 'em out and fill them with water at the last minute.
A cooler that you can fill with ice (I don't buy ice, I have a bunch of extra trays and fill them up, dump the cubes into plastic freezer bags and keep them in the freezer until needed). Crackers, hard cheese, canned goods that can either be eaten from the can or heated up on the grill (another must-have item) in a pan. Instant coffee and creamer isn't the greatest but if you need coffee to function like I do it's a must.
Before a storm hits, do the usual stuff like pick up stuff outside, board up, etc. but also do a load of laundry, including sheets and get cleaned up yourselves. Save a bit of extra water for a 'washcloth wipe down' if the power/water goes out. The longest I was without power was two weeks and water a week and you will be feeling grubby pretty quick. A wipe down is refreshing.
BING! To be exact, theres a Waze review for First Baptist Church of South Brevard by a Wyatt Rycroft. https://www.waze.com/live-map/directions/first-baptist-church-of-south-brevard-n-wickham-rd-4300-melbourne?to=place.w.183042330.1830619906.3043014
89.7 is their advertised radio frequency. There is also an Android app for that station if you want to hear the station's music stream. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wrrj.player&hl=en
Also you can listen to the live stream at http://wrrjfm.com/
Really surprised no one has mentioned Edelweiss in Melbourne. A great hole-in-the-wall German restaurant with amazing schnitzel and cheesy decor.
I use Simple. FDIC insured, no overdraft or monthly fees, 55,000 fee-free ATMs, automatic saving and budgeting, photo check deposit, send checks for free, direct deposit, excellent customer service, etc. Simple is by far the easiest banking solution for checking.
I just float brown trout. Easy peasy and no TP required. The fish love it too. When I'm going to have my little girl or my wife on the island with me, I bring this. , and mount to a 5 gallon bucket.
$330 a month. 2100 sq ft. We keep the A/C at 76 all day. Looking at the usage, there doesn't seem to be too big of a correlation between the weather and the amount of electricity used. You would think the hottest days would have the most usage because the A/C has to run more but that's not the case. I'm thinking about buying a sensor that tracks each circuit to narrow down what's using the most electricity.
Videos on Youtube about where to apply so pets don't get to it.
I believe what he is talking about is a thing on macs called "Internet Recovery". I am not 100% sure an IMac has this but I know I had to use it once on my 2012 macbook when I accidentally deleted everything on my hard drive while trying to use bootcamp to dual boot with windows.
It basically is a last resort recovery mode that is built into the computer where it can boot into a special mode where you have option to connect to the internet and it downloads whatever version of mac your computer came with and installs that to a new, blank, or in my case accidentally erased hard drive. http://osxdaily.com/2014/12/14/reinstall-os-x-mac-internet-recovery/
There's a great podcast all about this from Florida Today called murder on the space coast.
Get yourself a copy of the Florida gun Bible.

I have a copy you could borrow if none of the libraries do.
I currently live in Melbourne and haven't programmed in many years. I am self-taught and am a novice. I started programming when I was under 15, programming stupid punters, and things that like for AOL back in the day. Coincidentally, I have been looking into going back to school for Computer Science and I love doing it and have recently been checking out http://www.codecademy.com/ .
It’s probably this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Raid-Ant-Month-1-06-Pack/dp/B0744MSGYB/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Ant+bait+gel+raid&qid=1602684332&sr=8-3
I’ve had good luck with that also. I think they sell it at Publix, but you can definitely get it from Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Ace.
Thanks! It was free on kindle. I also highly recommend the picture heavy books you weirdly find at places like CVS and Walgreens like this. My wife picked up the Melbourne and Eau Gallie one a few days ago.
Okay, I give up.
The city of Melbourne conspired with Palm Bay to dump 1 gazillion gallons of human feces imported from Miami into our river and are hiding it behind the old Shooters Restaurant. Dolphins will from here on out have 3 eyes and the crabs will cause spontaneous combustion if you eat them.
I really want a clean IRL. I live on/in it. I picked up this book at Sams Club a few years ago and highly recommend it. It consists of articles from a bunch of magazines and books dating back into the mid 1800's that talk about Florida. 100 years ago, the Indians could almost walk across the backs of redfish to get across the IRL and beach fishermen would have to run into the surf to avoid the black bears trying to steal their catch. Those are the days I long for and many of those stores are in this book (Not an affiliate link).
The story about the soldiers in the Pensacola area partnering with a local negro (the stories words, not mine) and canoeing inland to fish is just wonderful and chilling. The image it evokes is mesmerizing.
Now, stop shitting in our river.
I'm in Port St John. I get ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WBS (and more) from a simple indoor, flat antenna. The one in my "den" (smallest bedroom) isn't even on a window, just hung from the ceiling. The ceiling has a plant hook, and I got a cheap swivel on a hook from amazon to clip to the antenna. The swivel makes it easy to angle the antenna. I paired it with an Channel Master OTA DVR, and I can record shows.
Two tips: (1) hang the antenna, don't lay it flat near the TV, and (2) roll up and zip tie the unused cable from the antenna to the TV input. For some reason, leaving it loose degrades the signal.

Edit: Also, I just notice you said you had an "amplified" antenna. If you are within 50 miles of the station, you do not want an amplified antenna. They don't just amplify the signal, but also noise and distortion. Try turning the amplification off (If you can), and rescan for channels.
Also, near a window is good, but having the antenna higher is more important.
Godsend last week camping. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015KG5NK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Great minds think alike. I have one of these sitting in my Amazon shopping cart waiting to be ordered pending my conversation with Code Enforcement: www.amazon.com/SmartSign-Aluminum-Sign-Legend-Knock/dp/B009B0V8UG/
Here's what the echo stuff is:
>Echo expands the coverage of a traditional in-home wireless router by adding wireless access points in areas where Wi-Fi reception is poor. All a customer needs is a nearby Bright House cable connection. The new service isn’t a traditional wireless repeater. Echo relies on a wired connection between the access point and your cable modem/router using Bright House’s existing coaxial cable inside your home. The result is faster, more reliable Wi-Fi.
I had this problem but solved it with these, which work over your electrical lines - and then hooked up a second wireless router to that to help with wifi on that side of the house.
