I just did this last month, the thing I overlooked is the plastic clips that hold the plastic bumper cover to the metal bumper are not really reusable and are really the only thing holding the bumper cover on.
I ended up buying these clips off amazon to re attach it

Look on both amazon and eBay for "e36 lip" you might be able to find it cheaper.
You may also want to pickup a wiper arm puller:

My wiper arms are always pretty reluctant to come off, even with the puller.

I refreshed mine before I sold my M3. It made a world of difference. They had surface rust and the OE finish was peeling. I sanded them using an orbidal sander and 50 grit to 220 grit. Then followed the instructions and used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EM019O?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share.
Highly recommend that paint as it was a near match to OE.
On amazon you can get a lot of door panel clips for cheap, here’s the link for amazon. I bought them for my ti and I haven’t put my panels on in a long time because I still need to re adhere a slider to my window glass but they’ll work good.
AC Schnitzer front bumper could be a start or just adding a lip, and center caps for your wheels would be a nice detail, I have floating caps on mine. M3 diffuser is another thing you could add on that's subtle. Foglights or foglight covers would be a nice addition since it seems that you are painting a bit.
Also, if you are re-clearing your paint with a spray can of clear for a temp fix, try some 2K clear coat. It has an amazing shiny finish for being in a can and keeps orange peel to a minimum. Just make sure to prep good and spray at a good distance.
Why can't you fix it? Maybe just need a really strong glue. Like this?

FOXWELL Obd2 Female to 20pin... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UC11M4A?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This scanner is really amazing for the price. It comes preloaded with BMW specific functions, but other manufacturer software can be added later (for a price).
You will definitely want the 20pin adapter. You will need to use the 20pin for anything beyond basic OBDII functions.
Hope that helps
They’re plenty strong. I got these ones, used three on each side and superglued them to the lid. The bolts they stick to are behind little plastic covers in the corners on the dash
I have no issues finding it - I don't use it though so I can't say if it's a good choice. I use 10w40 myself
Cool thanks for the info. I can share this .

I have this one, you can pretty much mount it anywhere and it would work in that spot too, you just need to stick a metal plate to your phone but I'm sure they have ones with clamps if you want it. I have mine on the right side of the center console by the tape deck and it looks pretty clean, I don't see why it wouldn't work where you want to put it.

I bought them especially for the seat bolts but to be honest those look too far gone
I did the desk job this summer. It's a bit of a pain but not too bad. Bmw wants $40 and 4 weeks lead time to get the seal in in the Boston area. I found this stuff and cut it to fit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VZPCTLT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_72NGDVCXNXG4F1FWSEHR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Flat head screwdriver and pop the nipple out, then flathead under the entire clip and remove. Are you serious? It may not want to do your own work if a retaining clip will defeat you.

I've done it with a press pulling the arm, making home brew shit, and using a ball joint press.
Get the ball joint press or rent one from an auto parts store.

The o2s were the same when I compared them. And I did them one at a time so I didn't plug them in wrong.
It's an automatic unfortunately I couldn't find any manual e36s when I went shopping. I'll do a swap when I'm rich.
I replaced the spark plugs already. There's a chance I got bad ones I'll give them a test. I still have to test the coil packs as well.
I believe bank 2 is running richer than bank one thus the* voltage difference. Since sensor 2 bank 2 is adjusting the fuel trim so aggressively while sensor 2 bank 1 reads na for trim change.
I'll also make sure I torqued them enough since I couldn't get a torque wrench under there.
I'm out of money though I make $20k a year and I had to buy all my tools again since my family won't me mail me my old ones. I probably won't have time to do anything with the car for another week or two and I don't get paid again until the 30th. I'm starting to get stressed but at least I got a bed to sleep on

I had a problem just like this, and it turned out to be the ‘final stage resistor.’
Easy and cheap replacement, so it’s worth trying first.
Kind of reminds me of this key holder.
Cool idea! My only concern is that it blocks your rearward visibility when looking in the rear view mirror.
Bought this $14 shift knob off amazon temporary after my knob broke itself, it's weighted and looks similar to oem, it's pretty good for price

Gotcha. Truck has two big red tops in it so you’re probably right, and I keep a jump pack just in case. Thinking something like this should be easy enough to hook up, the 12v switched would become the trigger and I’d need to change the current 12+ input to a constant 12v with the relay to break it. How do you like the 10min delay, just right for quick stops?

It does pivot at the middle and has a roundel. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
I bought my own 14 and 16 gauge wiring, connectors, and relay from amazon for 1/4 of what the companies wanted to charge... just search Bosch 5 pin relay on amazon and you should find them. So it's all about the HUB, the positive pin which rubs on the contact ring is the key. From there you can ground to any point on the hub.
After weeks of searching and comparing I finalized on this one which has the contact ring.

He would just have to check for one that has the compatible plug/connector

You can replace the clutch without fully removing the compressor. Just backing out the 4 mounting bolts allows the compressor to drop down enough to access the front of it. The lines can stay attached and system still charged.
I would not advise a re-seal job unless you 100% know the compressor itself is leaking. Cracking open a compressor that isn't leaking is asking for trouble.
FYI a brand-new, OEM, plug-and-play Denso 471-1114 compressor is $197.98 is on Amazon with prime shipping right now. It comes pre-filled with oil and with a new manifold (even though it's not in the photo). To me it was totally worth the extra $130 buying a new OEM compressor assembly. No Ebay quality to worry about, no time shimming up a new clutch, and the compressor itself is all new.
It's always worth pricing out repair options though. The economics of repairing vs. replacing always varies over time. The compressor could be twice as expensive next week for no reason, lol.
Amazon turned this up with a search if you search E36 in the questions, it is apparently a capable alternative for our cars. For $20, it seems to have great reviews. A couple forum posts turn up too. The keys that come with UAS are ubiquitous and could be paired with this system too if you wanted.

Not the best looking but it gave it a different look.
I picked up this code reader for my car: https://www.amazon.com/V6-4-Creator-Scanner-Multi-System/dp/B00VSYZ2NC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1494109830&sr=8-8&keywords=bmw+code+reader
You'll also need to order an adapter to connect it to the round port under the hood...you can find that for like $8 on eBay. I've been pretty happy with it.
I used this 3M Headlight restoration kit! It worked very well. After this picture was taken, I waxed the lights with plastic compounds.
Super easy job. 2 bolts on the back of the caliper, then 2 more bolts for the caliper bracket. Turning the wheel will really help give you more access to the bracket bolts, they will be on (or should be) really tight. Make sure on re-install you REALLY torque them down. If you have a torque wrench set them at 81ft-lbs for the front, 50 for the rear. Re-grease the guide pins under the rubber boots on the caliper as well, any auto parts store will have brake grease, just slop it on and re-install.
I'd suggest picking up one of these as it makes taking the rotor screws out a BREEZE. Usually they're seized and kind of a pain in the ass to remove. After you get the screw out, rotor comes off and install is reverse of removal.
i just use this and it works just fine, keeps the front seat and steering wheel cool
