There are quite a few. Mill creek (above) is my favorite. All Trails will be your best friend in finding these.

Why not just use Wikimapia? Are you planning on adding features to your app that aren't already available in Wikimapia, or trying to create the same concept?
Also, what permissions do you plan on requiring?
Odd, I've never seen this on their site, so my Adblock seems to be blocking it already.
For anyone with Firefox, you can usually just right-click on the object you don't want and select Inspect Element. There should then be a red ADP button you can click to add the a custom rule for that element. Alternatively, you can install the Element Hiding Helper.
Stitched image on google. You'll see the square if you zoom out and it goes away if you zoom in.
Don't forget additional online tools!
http://www.khanacademy.org has an entire tutorial and practice problem section on everything in math from basic addition up to the Chain Rule for derivatives in Calculus!
You can even create an account yourself and add your brother as a student and track what problem sets he is working on and whether he is struggling on a particular section.
PM me if you have more questions, but go checkout the exercise dashboard to see how cool it is :) (Try zooming in to see how many subject there are)
I doubt you'll be able to find someone in town, but you can buy the kit on Amazon and DIY it.
If you want food and drinks, perhaps Eureka Burger? Decent burgers plus tons of beer. It's near Stockdale and Calloway.
For 90 a month on spectrum we get https://www.speedtest.net/result/8172071687.png
Not sure what speed you are looking for, 18 is ok depending on how many are on your network. But how much do you have to pay for that speed? It depends on if you stream, game, video stream.
These work well. Doubt it will ship in time, but they are handy to have around in Bakersfield.
Can't help you with the equipment... But you have an android, I used this app and passed my HAM tech test 100%. Just play with it for 15 minutes every day and you'll have it memorized in a few weeks. Also keep an eye out, that mormon church on fruitvale ave does tests every once in a while. When I took the test there usually weren't any in town.
AQI is the typical way to check air quality, go with an actual climatologist. Even the news has those. I usually go with Accuweather or Weather.com.
Our Air Quality and temperature has been very unseasonably... good? For this time of year? I'm not really sure what the cause is but it's been REALLY pleasant. I've lived here for my entire 34 years and I can't remember a 4th of July that was that pleasant.
As far as cleaning the air in your house... most stuff out there is gimmicky... I have a friend that swears by his ionic air purifier, which are actually bad for the environment and your lungs (generate ozone) and doesn't fully work anyway (can't handle larger particulates).
You could get an active portable air filter, those are pricey typically and loud AF (in my opinion). They're also only effective in the room they're in (so long as your room is within the capability of the filter). You could hire an AC company to modify your duct work for more intensive filters (probably unnecessary).
Easiest steps: Make sure you change your AC's air filter every month. Get some house plants. Open the windows on a clean air day, close them up on a bad air day. Stay inside on bad AQI days, especially if you plan on doing anything strenuous like exercise or hard labor. Go outside on good days. Unrelated, but wear sunblock if you're outside for a while, even if you don't burn it's better for your skin and prevents cancer.
Did some research on this as I expect a storm but not an inch of rain; I wanted to give sources before I posted a differing forecast from your 1 inch projection.
Currently the most advanced model, the HRRR, is not in projection range but it gives a much different picture than what other models (ICON, GFS) are of this upcoming storm. I'm predicting there to be a light rain in Bakersfield at most for Tuesday/Wednesday and maybe a tenth of an inch in specific parts of town (Eastside) or where localized cells develop, if any do. There is a slight chance we see rain on Monday as well but it is highly unlikely, a front will be passing south of us into Baja. That is when things will start to get interesting as behind that front is a large mass of cold air followed by another front that is powered by an even larger mass of cold polar air behind it. That system, predicted to hit around Friday after Thanksgiving (have fun Black Friday shoppers) will push the high pressure ridges and tropical low pressure systems in the Eastern Pacific that have been keeping us rain free and relatively mild away and will push the jet stream farther south, meaning cold weather (sub-60 highs and 30s lows) will dominate behind it.
Don't get me wrong, the system on tues/wed is cold, but it looks like it won't have access to much moisture in order to make significant rain this far south and it has a fairly warm air mass behind it. The one after Thanksgiving is the winter starter.

Fuck spammers.
There used to be a group that met weekly at Rusty's, and another that met at Corner Bakery I think, but I don't know if they still do. You might want to check out Meetup.com. If you start your own, where are you thinking of holding it?
California has only 4 deaths per 100K of the population (https://graphics.reuters.com/HEALTH-CORONAVIRUS-USA/0100B5K8423/index.html) and is second only to New York state in the number tested (https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6).
My husband bought me a jumper pack for about 100 bucks. Its very handy. I have been able help four or five people with it!

Terrorist, one of its dictionary terms, is defined as "a person who terrorizes or frightens others". While there might've been better words to use, it does certainly apply in this case. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/terrorist?s=t
BTW, Wikipedia is a very reliable source... /s
I would not rely on Google Fiber. They have not rolled out Fiber to any new cities in over a year, and they experienced many job cuts, and even shut down some areas they previously served. They also heavily relied on dark fiber availability in most of their expansion areas, which Bakersfield is lacking. Spectrum is not perfect, but definitely not the worst ISP in the US. AT&T offers fiber in select Bakersfield areas. If you have Spectrum, call and ask for Retentions, they can give you the best deals on your net. We pay $75 for only internet at speeds of 400Mb/s down.
Check AT&T fiber availability here

We had Brighthouse for internet for a very long time, and while they have had their fair share of issues at various residences, you need to tell them when you have problems and not shut up until they are fixed. For one of the previous addresses we were at, after having several techs come out and inspect our line, they found the entire hub of service for our neighborhood was in awful condition. They ended up replacing most of the hub, and our intermittent issues went away.
There's a bunch of 4 layer cloth masks on Amazon with a pouch to put the $.20 PM2.5 filter into. They got popular when Beijing's air pollution got crazy a couple years ago. A quick Amazon search for the Masks and filters.
I've got a 100 pack of the filters I've been slowly working through for a couple years now. It definitely helps during the wildfire season.
a bit late to the party but get yourself one of these things https://www.amazon.com/FENUN-Mosquito-Trapper-Indoor-Eradicator/dp/B08CDB8PDG/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=uv+mosquito+trap&qid=1618852280&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=A1ZP238J7QLEVI&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyV01UQkVJWE5LSzBIJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjgxNjcwMTVKMEdKRjc2NzRaQSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzcyMTU4MkFYNTlPT0xYRkFTQiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= They work super well indoors, not sure about outdoors
Try these earplugs
This, white noise from my fan(I put a timer for 4 hours) and melatonin to knock me out helps.
NO local recommendation, but I've used Lansky sharpening stones.
Pretty idiot-proof and easy to use to ensure you get the right cut angle.
WHOLE lot easier than using a whetstone.
Works on just about any knive. I've seen video's of guys sharpening and polishing the cutting edge to a mirror finish.
Get one! I got this one, got some nice footage of Bakersfield action saved.
Honestly, if you're ever in a car accident and it's just your word against theirs, you'll want some video evidence on your side. Unless you're at fault I guess, then forget about the dashcam and let the adjuster figure it out.
They need to actually make a Facebook page, that is a personal page for a 'person' named Bakersfield Rocketry instead of an actual business / community page. I would have 'liked' a page, I'm not going to 'add them as a friend'. It has to do with privacy settings and how 'friends' can post / view / interact vs. business and community pages. Plus it's just tacky and shows a complete lack of understanding of social media.
EDIT... Plus their most recent post is spam for Roblox generators for some stupid online game. Yet another reason not to 'add them as a friend' rather than making a community page.
Correct Pest Control (589-5835) did wonders for me when I moved into a house with a roach infestation. I had to leave for a couple of hours and couldn't unpack my kitchen for a couple of days, but it was well worth it. I didn't see a live roach again for months, and the ones that I did see were dying already. It's reasonably priced and they come back out if you need them. When my neighbors moved out we also used this and it worked well. Pest control was better.
