There's a program called DS4 for windows. First you need to download & install the MS 360 driver:

Then download and install DS4Win

Should then be plug and play.

DS4 is great with BF4 PC, as you can use the touch pad as a clickable mouse for the menus.

At 20m, UMP-45 is still a 4 BTK compared to most other PDWs being 5 BTK.

Edit: I'm hearing that the playtest is probably delayed because the latest CTE build failed.

Go to control panel, programs and features uninstall web plugin if showing. Go to C:\Program Files (x86) see if there is a web plugin folder delete it. Start battlelog you should get a prompt to download plugin. You might not believe me, but if you upgraded to Windows 8.1 I'm very, very sure you would see a noticeable difference. I did, and its the only reason I'm still on 8.1

Out of all the games I play, for whatever messed up reason, BF4 has the weirdest most obscure performance issues, drives me up the wall sometimes. I'm on Nvidia drivers from April because anything newer then that gives me CPU stutter something crazy. I think since Dragons Teeth something went a little wonky and its been slightly wonky ever since. I also remember reading sometime earlier that there are some performance issues on Infiltration of Shanghai because of the new light sources or something like that, and it'll be fixed.

Incase you haven't, I would check out Display Driver Uninstaller(link at the bottom) and run that in safemode, and then do a reinstall of your drivers. Also, make sure that Origin in-game crap is turned off.

I see that some people are confused by the difference in size of installation folders.

I bet this has something to do with the Origin "__Installer" directory. My folder has a total of: 56.4G

What you could do is install this on a partition just for testing purposes. Install BF on it (you can copy it from your other partition so you don't need to download it). And give it a go from windows 8.1

If this resolves your issue, you might wanna update to 8.1.

For anyone else with Nvidia, i found a useful User.cfg which has upped my FPS a lot!

If you dont know, the User.cfg file needs to be in the BF4 directory folder with the BF4.exe and when you run the game, it goes through the user.cfg first then starts up. It doesnt change keys, etc... just video settings!

On my GTX970 i was getting crap FPS too, i surfed around for a User.cfg to combat this. Found one... put this in your BF4 folder with the BF4.exe and thats it. Run the game, it uses the .CFG first, then starts up.

at last version (yesterday night) was so , that we was three peole on server, if fourth joined so game was started and the ground texture was missing. After reconnect everything was normally. But if its happen so you have X-Ray to underground-level.

Download it, unzip, extract and run it.

When you are in the program, Right mouseclick > add new forwarding port

Open or add the ports in Fiiyasko's post in that program, both UDP and TCP, restart, then make sure you always run that program when you are going to play BF4.

I hope this fixes it for you.

But the real question is, will you revamp the UI so that we can have a proper command system for the squad leader and commander? Will there be improvements to VoIP. Honestly, the guys from project reality who are making squad are currently making a game of significantly better quality than BF4, and they have a fraction the team/budget. They have a proper command structure, proximity voice/radios, weapon ballistics, and will probably have amazing vehicle physics.
