Buy a cheap tire pressure gauge and keep it in your glove box so that you don't run into this issue. Your regular gas station probably sells one or you can go to any auto parts store or get one on amazon.
At home - or anywhere - with one of these.
I just started getting into hiking. The palmetto trail was great and pretty easy. I was really cool hiking around bonneau ferry. https://www.alltrails.com/us/south-carolina/charleston this is basically what I was using.
Magnolia Gardens is worth it to me. There's a Groupon ending tomorrow for two or more discounted tickets https://www.groupon.com/deals/magnolia-plantation-and-gardens-llc-2

Honestly people still just don't know what a modern bidet is, they still think its a separate unit entirely like the little sink
I try to explain to people that its $40 on amazon, installs in minutes with no tools, and lives right under your toilet seat. It makes you shower fresh after every poop and you end up saving money over time with the reduced TP/Wet Wipe consumption. It's completely hands free.
I evangelize about bidets like a 1920s automobile owner talking to his horse & buggy neighbor. Ya'll in the past doing it wrong.
What other mess do you NOT bring water into play to clean up?? Especially shit? You can wipe for days but you're never as clean as a constant adjustable stream of water can get you.
Does it HAVE to be a hotel? They are expensive. However, there are a bunch of lovely AirBnB rentals that are right in the heart of downtown and on the islands, and meet your price point. My friend runs this one in Mt. Pleasant and you get an entire apartment directly on the water, bikes and kayaks for your use, and just the most incredible view to wake up to every day. She's pretty booked for September, but there are a ton out there with great options.
Find or rent a couple of kayaks and leave from IOP marina. Paddle and stay on capers island. Have an entire island to yourself and the gators.
Pretty sure all locations yellow just for shits and giggles. I know the one near me went yellow during blue skies two days ago just for kicks. No reason to actually close though... right now NC is having all the fun and the eye wall looks like its target is Jacksonville.
In short, Nothingburger so far down here in Charleston or really any part of SC. Looks like the Europeans may take a hit with their model on this one. If you want to gaze longingly at the radar while the storm comes on shore, its here:

I had to do a google search on what the heck the "Wyndham Grand" was. It's much more commonly known as the Mills House, so if you're asking for directions down here, use that name. I would've had no idea what you were talking about haha
Anyway, boutique hotels, and really any hotel, in the downtown area will ask for top dollar. Have you looked at B&Bs? Those will give you a lovely experience, and depending on availability of rooms, may be cheaper. I can't honestly give a review since I'm from here and haven't stayed in them, but that website should give you a good idea.
Another option is to look at private rentals through AirBnB. You won't get the service of a hotel or B&B, but your stay might be just as, or even more, lovely. When my friends from the UK visited, I directed them there, and they rented a private MIL suite for ~$90 a night and really enjoyed it. (Just doing a quick search for this weekend, it looks like they're pretty booked, but I left the reference in case.)
Feel free to PM me if you need any other advice. I'm sorry I don't have better experience to help!
Use this website with your location : http://www.gasbuddy.com/
Run like the wind to the most accessible and latest posted prices maybe? I couldn't find a central reporting arena that shows just gasoline outages.
I've saw a book in a gift store that did what you are describing. I know there are two cats that live in the True Value hardware store on East Bay downtown.

It’s worse, rather than just a sticker it’s the whole “make your truck look like it’s constantly taking a dump” or at least that’s what the internet tells me
I'd recommend somewhere near the Tanger Outlet mall. There's a nice concentration of hotels right in that area and it's very close to Brewvival and various restaurants. But I guess that depends on your definition of expensive because I'm not sure if you will find a decent hotel in that area for less than a hundred bucks a night. I could be wrong though.
We are in the middle of wet season now, so it should rain frequently. I don't think there is any particular time of day that is more likely to be rain-free. That close to the building marked Department of Defense... they might not mean for the building you marked but they will call someone if they see someone taking pictures.
This is an old hospital not industrial but interesting none the less.
The old housing area this is where the film Army Wives and some of the houses are abandoned. I can see a batgirl hanging off one of the old trees, hiding behind some spanish moss... plus the Jamaican restaurant there makes pretty good food
Yup, specifically HERE. There is an abandoned MP station and factory (I think) that might suit your purposes. They both have "No Trespassing" signs, but I don't think they mean it.
James Island County Park does have a 9 hole course. A few of the early holes are good basic throwing practice (especially hole 1).
The park office has a pretty terrible map of the course, but the start is right about here
Looks like they may have needed the salary room to fuel their "global operations"
AKA they're probably outsourcing.

My mother-in-law just did this with a group of 4. She said it was really fun! My husband and I are thinking of trying it out too, something different!
TIL, so thanks! (Funny you get down voted though, and I am probably, more than likely going to go down with you now :P)
https://weather.com/science/weather-explainers/news/heat-lightning-explainer
"The flashes of light you are seeing are indeed lightning, but the lightning is from a distant thunderstorm far enough away where the sound of thunder doesn't travel all the way to where you're observing it from.
You can see lightning from a thunderstorm up to 100 miles away, but unless you're within 10 to 15 miles of the storm, you probably won't hear the thunder."
For me, this video was all that I needed to see to get hooked on Sesame Burgers & Beer although I've only ever been to the Park Circle location.
Moes Downtown is another favorite - they have a burger with a fried egg on it that really hit the spot after a night out. Patiently awaiting Moes Crosstown to re-open...
Been to Poe's and have to admit that I wasn't overly impressed, especially after hearing so much about it.
I feel similarly, although I don't think the storm will be "basically nothing." Sure, it's cat 4 while hitting Florida, but it's going to be much weaker when it reaches us. 2 at worst. They aren't talking about it weakening. They just say, this is a category 4 storm and you are an idiot if you don't gtfo of Charleston.

Gail Z. Martin has two books, that I know for sure, take place in Charleston, Deadly Curiosities
The other is called Buttons; iirc it's a sequel to Deadly Curiosities. Spunky paranormal/historical fiction. ..something something. If you're even slightly entertained by that sort of thing.
I discovered her on wattpad
Here's where it apparently happened.
Well the bike lane already crosses the entrance to the connector. See here (the bike lane ends/turns into a sidewalk for this section of the road but you can see it connects)
Instead of the bike lane turning right with the road as you are expecting (and getting in the way of the entrances/exits), the bike lane would first cross the connector entrance as it already does, and then stay to the left of the two inbound lanes where it wouldn't interfere with any exits and entrances.
Cheers to your beer snobbery fine sir!
I found out that Palmetto does in fact have a tasting room and will give you a tour, but you basically just show up and talk to Ed, the head brewer/owner.

I use a catchy or whatever from Amazon. It has a uv light and sticky pad it sucks them down on to. Doesn't do much for regular flies, but for some reason the little fuckers go for it. Literally the only thing I've ever found that works, and I've tried everything over the years.
Just curious but assuming you already have cat5e in place, your existing runs are fine. If you are going to be having your demarc/modem in a new spot due to new service, then the fresh run makes sense.
Get some long cable online like from mono price with the ends terminated if you don’t want to crimp your own. You can run the cable along the edges of the floor and buy cheap clips on amazon that will keep the cable tight and clean looking. You may be able to achieve a clean look without going thru walls and under carpet.
No need to have knowledge of crimping if you buy a pre-made cable. Just coil the ends and use zip ties or velcro to keep it clean. If you need to run it thru walls, you can buy fish tape or fish sticks or use a hanger and some creativity.
The beaches will be great- water is too cold for full swimming, but we've already been wading and it's plenty warm enough for that.
Angel Oak is beautiful, but be warned that you are not allowed to climb on the giant inviting snaky branches that touch the ground. So you can go look at the tree, walk around the tree...and that's it. Your daughter would likely get much more out of a trip to Magnolia Gardens Plantation or Boone Hall (which have enormous old live oaks too). April is when everything is blooming so they're incredibly gorgeous.
And the walking tour will likely take you by Waterfront Park and the Battery, both of which are super kid friendly outdoor spots downtown and great places to see the classic Charleston scenery.
Have a great trip!

If anyone is interested in Bronze Age Sword & Sorcery, I'll have a few copies of the Atlantis: the Second Age core book. The Kickstarter for the third book in the line, Theragraphica ends on the last day of the con.
When she leaves. Give her a copy of The Gift of Fear by Gavin DeBecker. It's a very frank evaluation of several threat scenarios by an expert. This includes DV and all the baggage that comes with it, including explaining the aspects of the relationship that keep some women returning to them despite the danger. I've seen it in action.
For that matter, it's a good idea for just about anyone in today's society to read. Nothing like being assigned as the new supervisor to someone who ticks off many of the boxes on the workplace shooter evaluation section of the book to be aware of what you're dealing with.
Just remember that any court orders on paper are just that, paper. She might need more tangible defenses, but only if she has the will to use them, or they may be used on her instead. My sister's house will help a great deal to protect her when she leaves, but eventually it's up to her to protect herself.
This! And since I just learned about the history of Maryville recently, this book is really cool too. Maybe not quite what OP is looking for but it is still super interesting!
It's a natural thing they do to supplement their carnivorous diet. You can buy patches of wheat grass for your cat to nibble on at health food stores or online.

I highly recommend reading “Gardening in the Coastal South” by Marie Harrison. Most useful book I’ve read and truly applies to our climate and soil. I haven’t been able to find it in a physical bookstore but it can be found online. But it’s chock-full of suggestions on plants and descriptions about them.

This is the one I have https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NHR6PT8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but you can get the smaller one for about $100 off Amazon (also on that link).
If you have pets and or kids, you'll probably need it again in the future. I don't know of any dealerships that rent them out.
lol, I live in central Goose Creek, it takes 20 min to get to meeting street granted no higher level of traffic, aka non rush hour, quit being unrealistic. funny such a "fantasy" that GOOGLE FUCKING MAPS which is known for having longer than average drive times puts it at less than 20 minutes.
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=goose+creek+sc&daddr=meeting+st+charleston+sc
proof is in the pudding kid.
also I'm PAYING right at 700 a month for HOUSE in this area. not a apartment, not in a ghetto, but in a safe neighborhood that has nice amenities for raising families. Deals are everywhere people should pull their head out their ass, be less snobby, broaden their horizons, not worry about living near "black people" which is essentially what almost every one alludes to when these posts pop up and people shit on n. chas or goose creek, or summerville.
there are plenty of ways to find great houses and deals for the 600-900 range all over this place, from WA to Downtown to the ville and goose creek. Smarten up and take a look at CL if you don't believe me.
also really, "call the cops and notify them to watch those roads for people doing 90."
fucking lol. You're pathetic.
Not downtown, but a quick Airbnb search brought up a $900/month room in West Ashley. Or ball out in Monck's Corner for $650/month.
File a police report. My bike was stolen from Mixson Av in North Charleston Saturday December 28, 2013. I filed a police report and my bike was recovered January 2, 2014 from Money Man Pawn on McMillan Ave, North Charleston. I just saw a free interior door listed on the Nextdoor app if you haven’t found one yet. They’re up at Wild Dunes. I don’t know if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but it’s free.

Across the USA people are reporting more fireworks than usual this month, but there’s little data on how widespread this is. I'm helping to create a map and learn more about what's going on with these fireworks. Please fill out and share THIS survey. Map is HERE and being updated daily as new data comes in.
Just to echo the other poster, it's possible to trace a png and turn it into an svg, which would then let you outline the elements. Here's a website that can do it for you...
There is a map of all the put ins that a friend of mine has, you will be fine with that kayak, I use the same thing. Until you buy the map, which feels like a treasure map, I think it is called "Coastal Expeditions of South Carolina" or something like that, there is a kayaking forum, that has directions to everything.. http://www.everytrail.com/destination/wambaw-creek-wilderness thats my favorite place so far. I've been to about 10 of the places on the map
Ride With GPS is a good resource.
I certainly appreciate your efforts to keep information flowing.

This looks pretty similar to the carrier I have. Mine has a removable sherpa lining insert for the bottom that is hard lined plastic only along the bottom of the bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PRGFT3M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_EEETFZG6EGWNA05FZDVZ
I didn't have a tape measure, but the top of the bag (not including handles) was about 12 inch when placed on the floor and not held by the handles or flattened at all. I compared against a piece of 8.5x11 printer paper.
You'll definitely have to call the airline to get a pet booked and they can likely verify aircraft type for the flight. I haven't had any issues with my carrier not fitting, but it can depend on your seat location and the specific seat supplier the airline used for their interior.
Give this a try, and use it on ALL of the drains in your house. Sometimes the old buildings have some gross shit in them that attracts these flies. I've had pretty good success using this in all of my drains for several days in a row. Typically I'll do a couple pours a day. Pour, let sit for several hours, rinse with hot water. Repeat.

Not a veterinarian referral, but my dog started to lose mobility and the veterinarian said it was likely an interruption occurring in the communication between the brain and the leg via the spine. She recommended glucosamine and I used these treats and they honestly did a lot for him, he seemed to get a nice bit of his mobility back. Not a cure-all, but a decent thing you can mix in with other treatments:

If you want to keep the discussion about race, here’s some suggested reading for you.
About the book: >When freedom came to enslaved Africans who toiled on rice plantations in lower Berkeley County, South Carolina, many remained to farm the land and raise their families in settlements near the plantation gates. Four generations later, their descendants have shared for the first time family joys and sorrows in Behind God’s Back: Gullah Memories of Cainhoy, Wando, Huger, Daniel Island, St. Thomas Island, South Carolina, by Charleston-based writer Herb Frazier and illustrated with the paintings of Columbia, South Carolina artist John W. Jones. Behind God’s Back is a compilation of accounts of the experiences of Gullah people who struggled after Emancipation, through the Depression and into the middle of the twentieth century to maintain their African-based lifestyles in rural communities near Charleston. Gullah people live in the coastal area of the Southeastern United States. They have preserved more of their African cultural heritage than any other black community in the country.
The book is incredibly relevant to this topic and an easy read.
Oooh this is so hard. There's a good book called "Charleston and the Golden Age of Piracy," but if you like Nick Butler's podcast you may also be into more academic stuff, like this one that just came out and has good reviews thus far: https://www.amazon.com/Grim-Years-Settling-Carolina-1670-1720/dp/164336054X/ref=pd_lpo_14_t_1/130-2208204-9880564?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=164336054X&pd_rd_r=07352736-b0b0-40d9-b396-760298fa473e&pd_rd_w=hfUhX&pd_rd_wg=qR5UE&pf_rd_p=7b36d496-f366-4631-94d3-61b87b52511b&pf_rd_r=QPNRT9VVQBS17PNA08VF&psc=1&refRID=QPNRT9VVQBS17PNA08VF
This sounds like a really cool idea for sure. If you are looking for a great book to keep around your home as an extremely comprehensive guide to all things cocktail, this has provided me will all sorts of interesting options
Thanks! I don't have an actual cocktail book like that. I have Tequila Mockingbird and To Have and Have Another, though, both of which are really fun reads.

We have one of these stands, and I found it very easy to move around in its carrying case.
I have a compact yagi antenna on a short j-pipe in my attic. There are several websites that will show you where to aim them. Here is mine, RCA Compact Outdoor Yagi HDTV Antenna https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0024R4B5C/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_p-7dwbY161DBV. I have also built several media center PCs and Raspberry Pi Kodi boxes of you want any help doing the same. Between hd antenna, Kodi, Netfix, YouTube, and my VPN for downloading torrents, I have all my bases covered.
I've used one of these guys mounted on a pole in the attic for the past 4.5 years. It's probably about 3 stories up and depending where you are, my setup might be a little overkill for you. Also have a small amplifier attached to it as well, don't know the specs on it, as buddy gave it to me for free. I'm on the outskirts of West Ashley and get all the stations without issue. If you have the room I would get the 70 miles version of the antenna, since your cable savings will cover it in a few months, and then later get an amplifier if you need one.
How's it going for you so far?
I just ordered a Tivo Roamio OTA to assist with my transition. I've already got Netflix, Amazon Prime, and now will also get Hulu and SlingTV to boot.
