Sort by volume
Everything above 500,000 in daily volume is currently taking a loss, and litecoin is also down 10% which by volume is massive. People are expecting a BTC rise so are jumping to where the perceived money is. Once that stabilizes, money flows back into alts. Rinse/repeat/cycle
TorGuard is a well known VPN provider. They don't keep logs and support all protocols.
They have integrated CoinPayments and now support DRK (and a bunch of other altcoins).
I was trying different services lately, but after seeing this my decission was made. I have signed up to their service and paid with Darkcoin! I hated to see my coins go, but it is also great to be able use them and show support.
Some of us recently tried to convince TorGuard's biggest competitor, Private Internet Access, to accept DRK because the combo of DRK and anonymous VPN is perfect: http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2kjfig/help_make_drk_a_payment_method_on/
The attempt was unsuccessful, but now we have our alternative :)

> Libertarians and other fringe politics caught hold and started touting its anonymity as a feature, when its neither anonymous, nor was it meant to be a feature.
Bitcoin arose out of the cryptoanarchist community. Gaven Andresen, the lead developer for the Bitcoin protocol, and the person to whom Nakamoto handed over maintenance of the code repository, describes himself as “mostly libertarian” (1), and the original Bitcoin whitepaper discusses how Bitcoin users can maintain their privacy.(2) Affiliation with libertarian politics and anonymity as a goal were there from the beginning.
And while Bitcoin may not maintain perfect anonymity, it's anonymous enough that millions of people have successfully used it to buy drugs online without prosecution.

The prospect of two blockchains is scary and could kill the coin. Remember this one? https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2013-03-11-chain-fork
However I have no reason to think that the hard fork will actually affect the network. I did not audit the code; I just assume that since the coin hasn't fallen apart so far with its complex supernodes and stuff, the developers must be responsible folks.
Darkwallet is another project. Darkcoin/Dash has no affiliation with it. What you downloaded is the Darkcoin-qt client. Catching up 14 months of transactions might take a while, just bear with it, the blockchain is less than 800MB in size.
It has no effect on your ability to buy or sell coins, because the trading part takes place on the exchanges. It doesn't even affect your ability to store your coins in your wallet, you can send any amount to your wallet anytime just as long as the address is correct. Until your client is fully synced you can't however send any coins, but that's the case with all crypto.
You can buy Bitcoin first on any exchange you like and then maybe use shapeshift.io to get Dash/Darkcoin if you're ok with the high fees. Personally I'd be using BitFinEx.
Here's an apparently non-official Android wallet. Maybe browse the Play Store.
Darkcoin was a great name representing the main focus in the beginning of the project and it's being trademarked as well. The focus however got larger after Evan realized the true power of the Masternode network he created. So the name Digital Cash is much more fitting.
where is the android wallet that he discussed? does it really work as a full node off a phone?
is it this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hashengineering.darkcoin.wallet&hl=en
Are you on Sgminer 5? I got those errors when I tried replacing the bins in 4.10. However, I'm getting "Hash above target" errors running sgminer 5.0 from nicehash
So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but maybe it'll help point you in the right way.
It's a tool that completely uninstalls your graphic card drivers from the system. It's a really powerful tool and has already helped me once :)
