to play more effecient, you should change your bracers to nemesis. you need every pack you can get, to get the best use of in-geom.
you need higher paragon and maybe try to upgrade your items with the cube to get some more int.
and try just to hit enemys with the tip of archon blast.
maybe you have to change your playstyle a bit.
thats me: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Oc3an-1185/hero/97354461 no big difference to yours, but t13 is no problem for me.
At what GR are you playing atm?
Are you using the Shame of Delsere belt? This should solve any and all AP problems you might have.
Rotation is pretty simple. Make sure you have Arcane Orb up all the time. That's it.
Getting the most out of your Arcane Orbs:
Teleport into middle of group. Stay alive using Safe Passage + Halo of Arlyse proc. Cast Explosive Blast, wait for stacks from Orb of Infinite Debt + 5 dynamo stacks + 3 Triumvirate stacks -> recast Arcane Orb now with all the multipliers from aformentioned stacks. Watch everything around you explode: if not dead and/or higher GR, rinse & repeat.
Stacks from EB will give you 20% dmg increase (and 60% DR). Stacks from Triumvirate will do 600% dmg. Stacks from Dynamo 60% dmg increase. All of them combined make for Big Ass Arcane Orbs. Find a decent Unstable Scepter and you will do tons of damage. (obviously alongside your set bonus of 3500%)
Of course the damage will still be lackluster compared to Lightning ManHeal build, but it's good enough to do GR60-GR70 with mediocre gear.
Well. shit, this is exactly where my newbieness shines through I didn't even think I could do such a thing, but I'll assume this is what you mean: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MagicTurtle-217994/hero/78583604 if not please tell me how these things work because I can't trust myself.
Pure tal rasha, pure delsere, 6p tal/4p delsere (5/3 with rorg technically), firebirds. Which you choose is a matter of preference, they can all clear g50+ solo. I'm personally going full tal since you can't use focus/restraint with a talsere setup and I like blowing stuff up with meteors.
As far as beginner builds, I always use something like this with a slow 2h weapon. Simple to use and effective enough at lower torments until you get some set bonuses going.
Want to play frozen orb build. Need help on weapon:
would you say this In-geom is worth gifting? (still need to find one, but for when I do..) Its got a pretty useless attack speed modifier, useless level req secondary, and rolled 8 seconds for the unique affix. It's got great base damage though and can be rerolled to be slightly better/perfect.
How bad is it to have attack speed instead of something more useful (elite dmg, vit, etc.) and how cirtical is the in-geom affix roll of 8-10 seconds? thanks!
My gear is in pretty much the same shape as yours and I am working myself up the GRs (did GR63 last) with 5 minutes to spare. I am working on learning how to position myself as when you are out of Archon the trick is to get some seconds firing away that Arcane Torrent to proc the Zodiac ring. Unless you were able to take down an elite pack to trigger the In-Geom. And ofc those seconds are precious and can easily lead to death if there are ranged mobs around (in Archon, that slow time is immensely useful).
One thing I struggle with is forcing myself to move along to find an elite pack - just been very unlucky with lots of indoor rifts where its hard to move about, so the rift type can make a huge difference. But as I get the hang of this I notice rift times going down.
Oh and Parthan Defenders on your wrists give you more survivability.
My toon: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/johncl-2403/hero/98431266
I am doing torment 11 in 1:50. Running around with tal wyr and wildwood ancient 2.9k. Wrath of lightning, gogok, trapped. And in geom in kanai. Apart from that i do with same build speedruns gr 55-60 in less than 2 mins too, sometimes depends on rift tho. Been running almost with same gear for 450+ paragons, just upgraded to some ancients but that didnt help that much.
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Biszek-2640/hero/54274464
You do not need starfire to speedfarm.
Yea you will explode elites like it's nothing, I run it in season with no augments and a poorly optimised weapon and have no problem . Me and a friend both run this build for "primal farming" where we just do 3-4 runs then identify after and spend shards at the same time for maximum efficiency, quite often we finish the grift in under 2 mins. Just cram as much attack speed as you can for quicker manald procs. I think i can even get away with dropping the CDR on my gloves for more attack speed because in geom is always up (I've got a spare ancient pair) i specced my ns character to the build for reference, dont worry about the primal swami, just use a fazulas belt untill you get a swami with apoc, crit, a socket and 20 second cooldown https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/esk0bar-2821/hero/25684552
Hi!
I rebirthed my first D3 character for Season 5 and yesterday hit a record GR 47. I would like some help and advice on what to do to improve.
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Astroid-2623/hero/461491
I have full Firebird and 3-4 pieces of the other sets. I also have a Wand of Woh (only 2000 dps +socket though).
Any advice that helps me improve is greatly appreciated. <3
I'v been using a cold build with sub optimal gear at the moment and cleared grift 21 quite easily, I think my clear time was around 10:00. https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/minimclean-2674/hero/43619788 as you can see my gear is pretty bad for a cold build as that is what i was using before patch 2.1. The proc rate of rimeheart is pretty decent with glacial spike with mirror ball as an offhand as well. With lots of cc dying isnt really an issue either although i have a lot of toughness as well to help that out. I feel like the damage could be decent enough to get up to around 25 maybe higher with better gear as well.
Also going to try out cold archon and see how that goes.
Ok so I actually got tennis elbow from my mouse hand due to this.
Here's what fixed it for me.
First, check your posture. I know its your finger, but still, posture is a huge contributor to pain.
Second, if you have Logitech mouse you can get their Razor Synapse app and set a repeater macro to one of your easy to click extra mouse buttons.
I set mine to repeat while button was pressed with a 0.25 second delay. That's not too fast considering that I can click almost 6 times a second.
(measured :) http://www.kongregate.com/games/wolfups/how-fast-can-you-click)
If you don't have a Razor mouse, (get one?), then you can always look up AutoHotKey or other similar "mouse macro" apps that are on the market.
I know, "Third party apps are not allowed" but seeing as how you are not gaining an unfair advantage or exploiting some 0.0001ms click exploit gear equip thing.... you will be fine. (I've played since launch with my macros back when CM/WW was hot spamming all 4 buttons with one mouse click.)
I've been using macros since Vanilla, never heard of a ban for them (personally I've used AutoHotKey, Razer software, and the Logitech software). Often people that are banned lie about the cause ("No, I never botted, it must be my macros") to try and garner sympathy and get their ban overturned.
But outside of macros, you can use a simple AutoHotKey script to bind mouse clicks to keyboard buttons (not an automated macro that activates multiple buttons with 1 click, just a rebind script that is 1:1).
https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/94280-simple-keyboard-mouse-click-script/ is an example (change the F2 and F1 in the script to keys of your choice). Since it's a 1 press : 1 action script, it should be perfectly safe regarding the ToS.
I see the amateurs forgot to add that. I also see they use arcane torrent and "arcane power on crit" plus resource cost reduction which is a waste of stats and less reliable than using ray of frost which costs 11 AP per cast so you dont need any of those resource stats. https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/TheAlchemist-2400/hero/73746283
A couple things really stand out looking at your hero:
Paralysis proc with manald heal is everything when you try and use ranged lightning archon and it helps to have more attack speed. The 4 elements are generally when working with Tal'rasha.
I'm using Chantodo Vyr now, it's fun but it's weird (using a bulkathos ring in GR since I don't have traveller/compass yet, but managed GR70 by closing GRs until I found one that didn't insta me 3x every 30 seconds)
I use a similar if not identical build, but I'm lacking good jewelry (character). With In-geom and zodiac it's basically a few connecting attacks to get archon back. Without stacks (archon & chantodo) and without traveller/compass though bosses are a pain on T13 for me still, hoping some augments and good jewelry will help in future.
Yes, it's a bit of a waste to have to recharge it, but it's not that bad.
Another option I used in previous season is the old DMO orbiting orbs + EB build with Aether walker, just slam through everything, never die, use bubbles for elites/bosses, worked fine but again bosses (so some bounties) were a pain in time. MH electro range archon Vyr or Vyr/Tash was just so much more consistently fast, if a bit boring after a while.
Any chance you can have a look at my setup, and suggest changes? I'm struggling with gr60s at the moment. Just farming 55s looking for a 2nd unity. https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/FaceFoiled-2510/hero/529
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Iakona-2838/hero/100549531
Here's my armory, hope it works. It's not the best rolls but i used to be able to melt faces with arcon on GR70+ but now barely do any damage. Where as with 4 stacks of Tal Rasha and Manalds I used to hit in the billions, it doesn't do that anymore.
I'm sorry, i'm a bit of a d3 idiot.
You might cube or wear CoE (or not use it at all). You cube your weakest piece of gear and wear the rest. The only piece of gear you absolutely need to wear instead of cube are set pieces.
As for Light of Grace, I don't understand why you want to play with it considering Ray of frost is not improved by DMO. Most build I've seen use Triumvirate and / or Orb of infinite Depth.
Just wondering, are there any other packs you normally just skip through? I have butted against GR68 with my Wiz with so far only a couple of Ancient items and no augment (look at toon link below). But the 5 attempts so far I seem to have only gotten rather horrible rifts with lots of spear throwers and fallen shamans that hurl fireballs. While the fireballs arent a problem when in Archon they are when I am out and they seem to have insane amount of HP compared to so many other mobs. Do you all just skip packs with these in like the lashers?
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/johncl-2403/hero/98431266
Still looking for a Ramaladni's Gift so I can reroll that Starfire socket to CDR - so likely I am too long out of Archon now and that is basically where I keep dying.
Hey, I use the same spec as you and while I cleared GR70 last night (paragon 400), it felt really bad. I only had about a minute left and died several times. Without the paralysis proc it feels like I am going 0 dmg. There are times where I shoot at an elite pack for 10s straight without it losing any hp. On the other hand the RG always melts instantly. I find that a bit confusing and unreliable.
Maybe you can give my gear a short look and tell me if its the reason for my struggles or if it has to do with my playstyle.
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/buu511-2685/hero/97297618
I know that I don't have many ancients, that some rolls are not perfect yet and that I still don't have a ramaladni gift.
thanks!
I have no idea how you're clearing 85 with those stats.
I have much higher dps and crit chance and I can't clear above GR 78.

Teach me, senpai!
So this build is very glass canon when out of Archeon, so feeling squishy is actually quite normal.
To get you started:
So the main problem is you're missing a lot of CDR. More CDR is less downtime of Archeon. When out of Archeon, you're at your most vulnerable so make sure you kite back just before getting out of Archeon (you shouldn't be near enemies anyway to get Power Hungry/Zei's bonus).
Another problem is your Gems are not 25. So make that a priority.
The most interesting part for me is that you get to clear GR70 with very subpar gear. That's how powerful this build is.
You can take a look at my gear for comparison
Basically get everything ancient and augment all of it. Being squishy its normal. My gear for comparison. Ask me anything if you want.
Hey, man. Just did some rerolls and changed some items for same with better stats. https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/shnaps-21902/hero/91432769 And closed yesterday t13 GP. All that i need for now - get rings/amulet with socket without rolling.
I'm running a FireRasha Blades build, but really struggling with GR60+ solo. Everything goes fine, then suddenly boom, oneshot. It's not even always clear exactly what hits me.
Note that when running GRs I cube Orb of Infinite Depths instead of Aether Walker, and use Deflection on Magic Weapon instead of Force.

What can I do to push forward in Grifts solo? Ultimately I want to solo at least 75. Can this build even do that or should I do DMO Orbit?
Hi all, slowly getting back into D3 as I learned two of my close friends play it and are acing it through T10 and GR65-70, in seasonal.
I've come back to play wizard and looked up some 2.4.1 builds, landing on the DMO twister/EB build. Playing it so far and absolutely loving it. Apart from a few situations where relying on ST and mobs are running away are a bit annoying but overall, really good.
This is my build so far: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Kris0r-2613/hero/78712332
I'm emulating http://www.d3planner.com/206188309 as close as possible while I learn Wizard items and builds in finer detail.
Question really is, which is the best way to gather the missing items? Is there anything obvious wrong in my build (bad rolled items, stats I should enchant etc)
I've so far managed GR40 and had 2 mins or so left in a bad rift, so will continue to push. Doing bounties on T7.
Hi, I'm looking for advice for my Vyr Wizard. Profile: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Flap-2228/hero/64277770 Ingame Screenshot with Stats: http://abload.de/img/screenshot0020tl73.jpg
I'm trying to reach GR60 Solo for the final Season Journey Tier, but currently I'm stuck in the mid-50s range. My best time in a lvl 60 GR was just below 16 minutes, and that already was with good monster density, a lucky shrine or two, and an easy rift guardian.
Most of the time, I'm either too slow (by 2-3 minutes+) or die while fighting an elite/champion pack with Frozen... or simply by regular ranged monsters like skeleton archers, which brings me completely out of pace by losing my stacks, which makes it very hard to recover. Long story short, I'm too squishy and my damage seems to be lacking. Any advice regarding my equipment? While there are some items with room for improvement (like the crappy Unity ring) , I don't think there are that many meaningful upgrades left which would give me a huge damage boost. Are there other builds better suited for GR60 which don't depend as much on keeping stacks up? I'm glad for any advice. Thanks in advance.

I started seasons about a week ago and decided to try out a Tal's Wizard. I found some pretty good gear already but when I look at certain streamers I see them doing about 2.5x my damage (with an aether walker as well).
I would like to refrain from using the hydra pet build and stick to Aether Walker. I want to mainly be able to do speed 40-44 Grifts with my friends.
You may want to check this topic out:

I posted this reply there:
Ouch. Haven't heard that before. Your computer should be more than good enough for it. Have you tried going into D3prefs.txt and setting HardwareClass to "1"?
Google the term "hardwareclass d3prefs", you'll find some information about it - where to find it and what it does. Some players find that it helps.
The guy who reported it tried that and replied saying that this worked for him. He later edited his post saying it was Mirror Images+Convention of Elements specifically that caused issues, but confirmed changing the Hardwareclass setting worked regardless. You may want to try that if you play in groups a lot. If it helps, do let us know!
Hello. I just looted a Serpent's sparker. I'm not quiet sure if it's better than my current weapon though (Ancient TF. I have one gift to add btw, and here's my profile https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Fiski-2981/hero/58536221
Decided to play hc, and got some decent gear on my wizard. Just want to hear if anyone has ideas to improve my build, gems, gear when it comes to greater rifting? So far i completed a 40 gr yesterday
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/coldhandslol-2167/hero/58287521
Atm i am running what my armory is showing except Meteor - Comet is replaced with Blizzard - 2,5 sec stun rune. I was also experimenting with Force armor instead of Teleport.
As for gearing i also have Focus and Restraint with fairly good stats, one with int/vit/chc/socket, the other with int/vit/chd/socket. I was also trying firebird 2p instead of Tasker and theo and the shoulders just to get the 100% revive in case i died. I do not have any good onehanders compared to The Furnace. (waiting for any good ancient 1h (Serpent's Sparker, Wand of Woh, Aether Walker, since i also have tals offhand).
Any ideas for improvement is greatly appreciated, havent been fishing much for grifts though, basically just went with what i got. Cleared my first 40 yesterday without getting any good pylons, and the boss was Orlash or whatever his name is, and the layout was a lot of charge angels, so wasnt really a friendly enviorment, but i managed to pull through. (would probably be able to do a lot higher if i could fish for map layout/mob type, but i simply cant do like barbs and run through the entire rift without dying trying to get to next level.)
I'd very much appreciate it, if OP could help me with a question I'm struggling with:
I have a 3,7k maximus in my stache and I've found a gift. So naturally my instinct tells me to get that badboy moving and deal some heavy damage. Problem is the following: To use it, I'd have to get rid of my Cindercoat or my hexing Pants. I really enjoy both items, since cindercoat gets rid of ALL problems you could have with arcane power and the 25% extra damage from hexing pants is amazing of course. Also using the Maximus would really cut down on my Toughness, since the +%fire roll on it uses a primary stat, so I don't have VIt anymore. Do you guys it's smart to use the Maximus or should I wait for the glorious furnace with 1k Vit as well to use the gift and switch to 2-Hand? Should I drop the Cindercoat or the Hexing Pants? Any other suggestions on my gear, that aren't obvious? ;) I know where I have to upgrade next, but maybe I'm overlooking something! :) Thanks for your help, here are my specs: Hero: https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Templar-2875/hero/37134151 Details + Maximus: http://i.imgur.com/hIymHBT.jpg

That was exactly my idea when I started looking for new ideas after Archon became useless as perma-state. I was inspired by a fun build (electric trampoline wizard it was called i think). After some experimentation I had something which I liked to play.
(now with link --> https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Luceferous-2582/hero/31052787)
Unfortunatly I don't think I can do grifts with this setup, where you don't kill the trash, which is soimething I did between Archon cooldowns. But for normal t6 rifting ist should be fine.
And it is interesting in playstyle, cause you change from ranged combat for the masses to melee combat in Archon state to smash packs and bosses. And completly ressource free, only costs for buffs are needed.
I have this multi-ele build, with every element in play, even poison, tho' it's useless. It's running on short-ranged, and main burst comes from either Shard of Hate or Wave of force.
I use T&T
Dmg tests @ Ghom showed that Magefist is slightly worse. (For me. you should test it, just because your T&T isn't perfect rolled. Resource cost reduction is useless with Hydra.)
Beside that, I like the Attack Speed, because of mobs which run away. The lava stuff from the mammoth hydra is just faster under them again.
My Build (for T6): https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#aiQjSO!ZeSY!ccZaZc If I go Solo, I use Black Hole instead of Familiar and Evocation instead of Unwandering Will.
I would gun for some set items, namely Aughlid's Authority - the 3 set bonus is insane. Asheara's set is also great for survivability. Andariel's visage can roll arcane damage which will really help your damage output. Have you found any legendary rings?
As for build I've tried Arcane Orbit but don't find it very effective compared to other spenders such as Disintegrate. Arcane dynamo is much more effective for channeling spells such as disintegrate because it works for the entirety of the first cast ie if you don't move and deplete the entirety of your arcane power all of that will have been 60% dmg
