It's understandable, not everyone has the time and desire to keep up with the minutia of system security and maintenance!
What you should keep in mind though is that nowadays––especially on Windows 10––there is much, much less need to use third party shenanigans to micro-manage everything like there used to be in the days of XP and pre-XP. That is to say, despite the flaws, Windows actually does a much better job in recent years managing itself, cleaning up junk, the registry, defragmenting on the fly and so on.
The "replacements" for most people should really just be: * Use Windows Defender, it actually does a very respectable job and has minimal overhead compared to almost all the major "security" suites * Supplement with free Malwarebytes for the more minor stuff that can slip through the cracks * Use Chrome or Firefox with uBlock Origin to avoid ad-injected malware * "Clean" your system with the actual Windows maintenance tools! The "Disk Cleanup" utility in your drive properties does a pretty thorough job, but few people bother to actually use it.
Most of the "registry cleanup" crap CCleaner and similar packages do is placebo at best, and detrimental to your system at worst. In the rare cases where you really, genuinely have corrupted registry entries causing problems, <em>use the actual Windows utility designed to fix it!</em>
The only things missed by all that are some odds and ends like bloated SXS install folders which can on rare occasion be missed by Disk Cleanup due to update mismatches. That sort of thing is extremely easy to manage yourself if you like, but there are some simple tools like Patchcleaner to do it for you.
I can wait a bit longer for my SciFi RPG if I get some Arcanum 2 :D
Also you might want to take a look at the "Dieselpunk" game InSomnia being kickstarted right now. It's fully real time sadly but it still looks pretty cool. Not Arcanum but close-ish ;)
Are your HDD saving really takes very long? Just taking like 3 seconds.
There are two methods of doing this, first is the simplest - just move your whole Documents folder to SSD with Windows's built-in function. Right click Documents > Properties, go to Location tab and click move.
//========
The second method is a bit more work but you can move the game folder only. Without moving the whole Documents folder.
Use this tool to move stuff elsewhere (to SSD) and retain the old address (on HDD).
Make a backup beforehand if needed just for safety.
Using Fglrx could quite possibly be the issue, as it is known for being a horrible buggy mess, causing many issues with games. There's a reason everyone cheered when AMD ended support for it.
You would likely have not only improved framerates with the the latest open-source driver, but also massively improved stability and compatibility with games.
It's also likely that the devs didn't even offer support for the AMD drivers, as they were in a sad state when that port was done.
Your best bet would be to use either Mint 18 with the Padoka PPA to get the latest version of Mesa, or instead opt for Ubuntu MATE 16.10.
X is the default in Linux, since Alt + mouse buttons can move / resize windows.
In Windows it is possible to set up a virtual gamepad, like Headsoft's VJoy Virtual Joystick Driver, and then use x360ce to get the game to recognize it and switch to the controller UI. Similar programs may exist in Linux, as well.
Might have answered my own question when it came to the mage, after finding this article right here. Is it true that equipment swaps can make up for any deficiencies in crafting and the like?
Unfortunately Barrage is one of the books you can't get multiple times. I recommend using a character editor, as much as it pains me to do so. There used to be some mods that made all books buyable but I couldn't get them to work properly on the current build of the game.
Here is the editor I ended up grudgingly using: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/xggb2364417f4/MooseEdit
This is one guide, but I think he is considering in his build the exploit of the Teller of Secrets that is now fixed.

How much can be raised INT without that exploit?
So do creatures with Legendary Actions in DnD. They recharge at the beginning of each round.
Take the vampire for example, this is what it lists for them as their legendary actions:
>Legendary Actions
>Can take 3 Legendary Actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. Spent legendary actions are regained at the start of each turn.
>Move: The vampire moves up to its speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks.
>Unarmed Strike: The vampire makes one unarmed strike.
>Bite (Costs 2 Actions): The vampire makes one bite Attack.

I can see why someone would be turned off by mechanics like this, but they don't really bother me. That's just my 2 cents anyway.
External graphics is a little rough to pull off with a laptop. A Radeon 7770 and 7850 I believe are Mac compatible (my wife used a 7770 on a Hackintosh build), but a Nvidia card will likely be better.
You're going to need one of these to add an external card to your laptop, or you can hack your own. However for the cost, you're already halfway or better to a PC that will run the game just fine (you can build a desktop rig that will run Divinity and many other games just fine for about $550-600, including the Windows license. If you're interested in doing so and need help I may be able to build out a parts spec and pricing for you if I have some free time tomorrow).
My suggestion is to stop using Xsplit and start using Open Broadcaster Software instead: https://obsproject.com/
Xsplit gave me so many problems from audio delays to much lower framerates and resolution, and it always asks you to pay. OBS is open source, free, and generally superior to Xsplit in almost every way.
The gist of the game is a very unusual idea - guessing games in drawings. I drew hundreds pictures to guess by hand (there are more than 300 of them in the game).
-Some pictures are rebuses, some are simpler in guessing, and some are complicated puzzles.
- You can guess each drawing in different ways: you can enter the name of the game by yourself, or guess the game choosing one option from four or six options as the test.
- 6 languages: Russian, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian Languages! I hope you will like itLink of my game in google play
The thing about the Divinity games is that lore-wise, most of the games are totally self-contained. Having played most of the Divinity games besides Beyond Divinity, Rivellon is basically an amorphous landmass that Larian alters depending on what they need to work in the story. There are sometimes the odd reference to past Divinity games, but otherwise there's no really consistent lore to be had between the games.
If you're interested though, Larian posted a brief timeline on their kickstarter page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/larianstudios/divinity-original-sin/posts/452503

Relevant KS update, confirming those news. I'm disappointed, mostly in GOG, where the 'non-mandatory' platform becomes mandatory enough to delay a launch of a new title :(
From their Kickstarteupdate (Link):
> Important note: The Kickstarter backer ID database on Steam is currently missing a number of entries and is being updated. In a couple of hours it should recognise the backer ID of everybody. Small team working through a large task list with lots of pressure in an online environment with an internet connection that decided today was a good day to go on strike - bare with us, it'll all be done soon enough ;)
Looks like cpu throttling due to power settings, heat, bios settings, etc.
try using http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html to see if you had any Blue screens that have a little more information.
Yes.
But $30-$40 is way too high though. You should be able to get some good summer sales on the definitive edition on GoG or Steam. I think I got it for $25 or less a year ago. It’s also on IOS for $20 or $25 I think (I’ve got it on PC…and I’m still thinking about getting it.

Edit: Just saw your looking for it on PS5…well, I guess you could wait until it eventually hits PS+ or PSNow.
Amazon. This link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09J79K8W1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Don't know if it'll be available in your region. I was a bit wary as there was not photo or reviews, but I got the product and it's been working fine so happy days! :)
EZ just download or read that Reddit post :) http://ds4windows.com/ or here https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/3f1bso/getting_windows_10_and_the_ds4_controller_to_work/
PS i just use default profile to mimic a xbox 360 controller set up and touch pad does work
What controllers do you have? You need to download this version of x360ce. I can confirm it's working with 2 Dual Shocks with a USB adapter. You need to place the files within x360ce in the "\Divinity - Original Sin Enhanced Edition\Shipping\" folder. The game requires the 64=bit v1.4 tickbox to work, I have all the 64-bit options ticked in any case. Nothing else needs to be ticked from the "Game Settings" tab of x360ce. When it first auto-found settings for the controllers, they were reversed, I had to manually input them in x360ce. It has been very smooth since then.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean... Borderless fullscreen isn't when you alt-tab and the transition to the other windows in the background is instant? Not like true fullscreen which takes a while with screen flickers and etc.
It's working flawlessly here, alt-tab is instant and I can hear the game on the background.
EDIT: If fake fullscreen doesn't work correctly for some reason, try setting to windowed and use Borderless Gaming: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming
I've been using it for a while in other games and it works perfectly. Thought I haven't found the need to use it in D:OS.
I haven't tried this myself, but maybe try giving this a shot: http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=vjoy
The idea is to trick Steam into thinking you're using a second gamepad, when it's really just a keyboard.
Not directly, but at least in Windows you can use a virtual gamepad, like Headsoft's VJoy Virtual Joystick Driver (with the option set to block keys, in order to stop keystrokes from also being sent to the game).
http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=vjoy
After setting up the keys, you would need to use x360ce to get the game to recognize the virtual joystick. The default settings should be fine, though opening the x360ce program can make it easier to test the key layout and assignments.
I didn't do a full gamepad configuration, just the left stick, Dpad, A/B/X/Y and start buttons, enough to see if it would work, and get local split screen going with a keyboard and Xbox 360 controller.
I can't comment on the 4-player mod, as I haven't used it. In theory, as long as he is using the profile he was playing with, AND has the mod installed on his computer, he could resume on his PC.
I am writing from my work PC, so I can't be too specific ATM, however; Download the Google Drive Windows App . Install it and log in. From the manager, you can configure it to sync your save folder located in the My Documents\Larian\ <Profile> folder, IIRC. Once it's uploaded, go into your drive, and click the 'Share' button, and send the link to your co-op partner.
It's the highlighted comment from Swen. >Errr... the E3 news we planned is the Enhanced Edition. It'll be playable there.
And you'll need a controller to active the splitscreen mode on pc.
The Show World Tooltips function is a toggle when using a controller.
You can place a small object on the Aly key, heavy enough to keep it down.
If you play the game in Windowed mode, the On-Screen Keyboard program included in Windows can be used to make the Alt key sticky. After clicking on the game to give it focus, you should be able to switch back and forth between the game window and the On-Screen Keyboard window. You might need to have the edge panning option disabled.
A program like AutoHotkey can get the Alt key to function as a toggle in-game.
When first started, AutoHotkey creates a default script and opens it in notepad (after that you can right click the task bar icon to edit the script, as well as reload it if you make any changes). I've only done some basic scrips and remapped keys, but a quick search gives a way to turn the Alt key into a toggle, which I tested awhile ago with the game and didn't have any serious issues (I tried walking around, conversations, looting, teleporting between waypoints, using a couple skills and scrolls, comparing equipment in the inventory and assigning attribute and ability points from leveling).
<alt::SendInput, % "{LAlt " ((X := !X) ? "Down" : "Up") "}"
Alt-Esc cycles between opened applications (like Alt-Tab, but without the preview). If you try bringing up the game menu while the Alt key is toggled on, you would minimize the game, and have to switch back to it and toggle Alt off to use the menu (unless you map it to a different key).
Would DOS run ok on this laptop? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0866PDL8W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_msn2Fb67A1D8M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Its the one my wife has and I was thinking about grabbing copies of the game to play together. But if its not going to run well we will play on ps4s.
Does the ps4 version support keyboard and mouse?
You can get a brand new copy from Amazon for $19.99. I got free next day shipping with Amazon prime. They have a q week free trial you can grab if you like. Gamestop around here were charging $29.99 for a used copy.
I'm not sure, but I got it working in a really roundabout way. I used Connectify to make a hotspot for my Nintendo Switch to connect to and I run NordVPN on it with a Belgian server and then it works! You have to try for a few times because not every attempt will work. Good luck!
Mine used to overheat too until i bought this.

It doesn't take much OP. This is my laptop that runs dos2:
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Convertible-Graphics-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01M6UQBLD
It looks like it's out of stock everywhere, but it was $470. Note it is minimum EVERYTHING. Something similar should work.
If you search for D:OS Enhanced Edition at Amazon it shows you the release date 27th of October (PS4). Maybe they plan on releasing the PC and console version at the same time?
Sorry for my bad English non native speaker here.

the market for egpu is finally reacting to the demand for cost effective egpus. after some research i am considering the Akitio Thunder2 PCIe Box priced at $211. ill need to read more but it is possible to upgrade the riser to support full length cards, the psu, and a case for around $90.
So for around $300 you have a system that will support graphics cards for years to come. I think people want a system around the $200 range but I have an apple cinema display monitor and would rather buy a windows copy for bootcamp rather than a shitty dvi to tb converter(~$100) if I built a pc.
> Spoiler function here doesn't work on mobile sometime, it'll just look like a link.
For what it's worth, spoilers always work fine for me on Relay and I would imagine most other Reddit apps as well. The mobile site is kind of bad.
There's an android app that has info about possible buffs on crafting (you get only one, but you can reforge weapons to proc some other stats).
