Work in Toronto and live in Hamilton, about to sneak out of the office early to take the train home.
xDelete is an android app that flashes your ECU to keep the transfer case clutch open (making it RWD), and it also satisfies all the other warning lights and everything, traction control still works and everything as expected. you can swap between AWD and RWD as many times as you want. takes about 30 seconds to switch between modes (you have to do it parked)
the app has a 150USD (185CAD) license fee (one time) and the cable you need is like 30 bucks on amazon.
its the same guys that make xHP, an app that lets you tune your automatic trans for better reaction and shift times. Highly recommend them both. xHP doesn't work on 328i though, cause apparently GM makes the auto trans, where all other models are BMW trans. . . weird.
It’s $83 on Amazon for the reader, and you have to buy the app which is $60, so $143 total. I have it and have loved it for quickly diagnosis problems (I keep the adapter in my glove box) and coding the car. In hindsight, I wish I bought something more like the Foxwell scanner which would be much more capable. (Carly can’t reset steering wheel angle sensor and stuff like that)
As a note, Carly will work with a cheap $20 obd2 scanner, it just won’t be able to do all functions like battery reset
IIRC that’s not to connect any phone, but an apple device in iPod mode.
You can get something like this to add a2dp Bluetooth:
Bovee Bluetooth Car Kit for 2006 BMW E90 - Android and iPhone Music Interface Adaptor for in car iPod Integration (WMA3000B USB / AUX connector) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073W3G5KJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vO6LBbX0793GW
I didn’t have the Bluetooth module for hands free in my car, nor the USB port. So I opted for this:
Anker SoundSync Drive Bluetooth 4.0 Car Receiver, Wireless Phone Call & Music Streaming Car Kit with Built-in Mic, Music Streaming, Echo and Noise Reduction, Multi-Point Access, 3.5mm Aux Cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0176G5TRO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_oT6LBb9XN1PYX
Shame they stopped making this model, but there are similar ones. I like the separate buttons for track selection. (Single button burns out a lot faster)
There are other ways (from Grom and others) but they were cost prohibitive. And required coding the cd changer into the system.
It looks like you need to refinish the entire lens. Last month, I used the kit below to clean up the headlights on my E92 and am happy with the results. There is enough product in the one car kit to actualy do two cars so it's a great option at $20. https://www.amazon.com/CERAKOTE-Ceramic-Headlight-Restoration-Kit/dp/B084RQKLV8/ref=pd_ybh_a_16?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0HH5C2GW1EGWZAR9B853
also get yourself a normal car charger for the cig lighter spot. Then you can charge, and play music, and the bluetooth will never need to be charged. It charges itself from the usb port. I did this myself, and its the best 35 i ever spent.
Not every e9x came with the option to stream music AND take calls. IIRC stupidly it's not something you can code into the car either. You would have to swap out the combox for the feature.
I'm in the same boat as you though. Several people in this sub and on e90post have suggested getting this , because it communicates directly with the CIC/CCC to share Album artwork and such. It just plugs into the ports in your center console.
Good deal. I got one of these
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B087CXG4C7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
but haven't driven with it enough to recommend - and my phone is a regular pixel 3a so it's not big and heavy like some... - and my case is thin spigen with a depression inside to place the metal plate for the magnet, so I'm hopeful. 😊
That should work very well. Do you have a 5 speed or 6 speed? Here's the 6 speed version:https://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-Genuine-Leather-Stick-Shift/dp/B0052R53PI/ref=psdc_303750031_t1_B005MW1XA2
I pretty sure the ebay guy is wrong and any of these shift knobs will fit your car.

Here is one of the places. I have also contacted a seller on ebay who said that it only fits m sport e90’s.
Thanks! Got em on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N53FFNX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It may say that it only fits e90's before the facelift but rest assured, mine is a 2011 328i and fitment is practically perfect. After the install, you'll get a code saying it's missing headlights but well, clearly it isn't and they work perfectly fine so you can ignore it lol or if you have the know how, just clear the code yourself. I'd also recommend replacing the xenon/halpgen bulbs with LED ones. They're H7 bulbs, for your convenience :)
Thank you!
I got the magnetic phone holder off of Amazon. It attaches to the CD player and holds my Kindle fire just fine. I don't recommend it for IDrive cars though because i think the positioning of the CD drive is too low. At least for a tablet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017HWSDD4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I got these for my car almost a year ago and they've been great. Installation was not too bad, and no error codes. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07V69NDWJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_1E0W6BQP4EDP6ANTX8Z7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MYLSWH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For the price you really can't beat it. I read reviews about it not fitting that snug and even flying off while driving. I took my chances for $33 and it was a lot more quality/fit better than I expected. I still went and attached black zip ties just as a safety, but I def recommend it!
They are ACANII halogen headlights. They were the only projector-style halogens I could find. Great price, but not a lot of reviews, which kinda sketched me out at first. I'm gonna leave a solid review so people know what they are buying.

You can buy it through BMW, FCP Euro, ECS Tuning, or Amazon.

Kinda, you won't be able to see white when you reverse, which might be illegal. I used to run a red tint on my pre-lci taillights but they had a small square cutout for the reverse light so you can still see white. I will add the Amazon link so you know what I mean: https://www.amazon.com/Precut-Overlay-2006-2008-Reverse-Taillight/dp/B01M9AUGIP/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=bmw+e90+red+tint&qid=1610736797&sr=8-1
Edit: This won't fit on E91 btw, I just sent it to show the cutout I was mentioning.
I use this thing, which works OK
There are a bunch of options for this on Amazon. The newer ones are probably better, if they support aptX (HD). One thing to watch out for is a lot of them have to be turned on every time using their power button. The one I linked comes on and connects when you start the car. It turns off when you stop the engine, even though it has an internal battery and will work if you manually turn it on again. So that's also annoying, but at least it comes on when you first start... I haven't found an "ideal" solution yet, but this gets the job done.
u/icarusthewolf is right, I just replaced mine this past spring for my e92 335i (I believe they have the same headlights). the bulb is the D1S. Definitely get them from amazon, they are OEM and same color as original. Do not get them from the dealer, IIRC they charge like $250 a bulb, absolutely ridiculous.
You should definitely just do both at the same time. The other one might be close to being done as well, and plus, the colors probably won't match since the colors change with age.
I didn't think it was terrible to do, pretty easy actually, except I didn't put the liner back on correctly after the first one, so I had to take it off and do it again (just frustrating to undo all screws because it was cold outside).
Don't touch the bulb with your fingers, you want them very clean (no oils, etc.), and make sure you don't accidentally scratch them along the housing as you slide them into place. You probably will want to take a look online for a DIY guide on how to do this. Find a couple and compare them. Reason being is that I found instructions in one guide telling me to incorrectly take off the clip that holds the bulb in place. I was trying and trying to remove this clip as the guide said to but I couldn't get it off, then I realized that the guide was wrong and that you need to unlatch the clip while the guide was essentially telling me to take the clip off. I'm so glad I wasn't successful in actually taking the clip off because it would have been impossible to put back on. Would've been swearing all night trying to get it back on.
I know I didn't explain that well, memory is a little hazy on this.
Alaskan here -- I actually winterize my car and drive a Subaru during the winter (it's the Alaska state bird it seems -- they are everywhere).
Even so, I started my stay here in Alaska by driving in winter, but hooking the car up to a battery conditioner (Amazon link to the one I have).
I've never had issues starting up even on really cold mornings where things are below 0.
I use my iphone with the Falco app, but I have this one on my Amazon list: CYHY Car Dash cam for BMW 1080P Wifi 170 Wide Angle support G-sensor Motion Detection Loop Recording without 16GB TF card https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTKKLYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_23EaCbKX54Z3F
You can buy these on amazon for everyone asking for a link.
Low cost BT option is below, u/lsco99 posted the Tunai. Many good reviews.
Medium Cost- You can get an "ebay box" (this might not be the exact model for your car, you need to do some homework on e90post) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-Handsfree-USB-Adapter-MP3-Player-for-BMW-3-Series-E90-E91-MOST-Car-Kit/223387697818
Higher Cost- Replace your head unit with an Eonon unit. This is probably the best option as it will transform your plain radio to a full head unit with carplay/android auto capability and SO much more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082WTXCL4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AB5APDBZON7C9&psc=1
I got these lights off eBay but they aren't listed anymore: https://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Projector-Housing-Headlight-Replacement/dp/B086BWMMWS/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=e90+u-halo&qid=1601556786&sr=8-11
Funny when I told them I found a unit designed for the e90s they called the non name brand ones from eBay and amazon junk even though the one I was looking at had good reviews. Would you recommend this head unit or this maybe? This one comes with a rear cam too but audio express tried to talk me out of it unsurprisingly.
Not really what you asked but IMO if you get an E9x M3 you should def spend the money on a code reader. Either Carly, a stand-alone reader, or something that also lets you code the car like ProTool.
Best of luck.
I had the same problem even two years ago. Every forum post on the topic was broken, since links to downloadable software packages keep getting removed. I ended up buying a Bavarian Technic cable. It doesn't do coding, but gives me a very useful interface to my car nonetheless.
I've also looked at the BMW Carly app for Android, which allegedly supports coding to a degree. With my first tablet arriving tomorrow, I may fire up the app and give it a shot. Here's an E90post thread on it.

You might be able to attempt to depin the connector and just put a new one on, but the pins are usually single use so you'll probably have to repin them.
If / when you need to relocate the heated seat buttons, I have the dynavin relocation adapter thing that you can have for cheap cheap.

I was going to swap the radio in my 06 330xi but opted to keep the OEM unit, and now I'm out of the return period
It took me about 30 seconds to disconnect the axles, had to get someone to help me lower the axle and knuckle to the ground though.
This tool is a lifesaver
You need to lubricate o-rings before installing them, otherwise you can tear them, twist them, or make them difficult to install. I use P-80 Emulsion for every hose and rubber bushing, it's similar to BMW's Circo-Light.
If you've somehow damaged your sensor, they're only $15 new:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-auxiliary-fan-switch-fae-13621433077
Can I get this and file the tab?
How did you make it fit snuggly?
foxwell nt510 is a pretty decent scanner, kinda expensive at just under $200, but it can do decent amount. I keep mine in my car at all times.
Lots of forum posts on setting up ista and other diag software, but since you're asking help for that here, I'm guessing it's probably a bit more work than you're prepared to source and setup yourself. You can buy kits off amazon with all installers, instructions, and cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BCLDR93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Am I missing something here? You're saying that that e-torx bolt in the center of the photo is stripped? It doesn't look stripped to me. Were you using a 12pt socket instead of an etorx on it? If so, it might be a little messed up, but you can probably pound the correct e10 socket (or whatever it is) on there still.
E-torx are pretty damn hard to strip, but I've done it being careless with the impact. I've had some luck using this type of extractor on them.
I bought mine off Amazon 🤷♂️ they fit great on my e90, and still look brand new after 2+ years on the car. I agree with you that chrome has no place on our chassis’, just get the cheapest ones you can find with the best reviews :). This is what I bought. Not for the e92, but hopefully gives you a place to start.
I had to replace the door lock actuator on my 2008 BMW 335i Sedan. There is a procedure, such as checking Fuses 56 and 57 (see https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=477507) before committing to new actuators.
I got this from a vendor named "Mueller Motorwerks" on Amazon years ago (they confirmed the correct part number using my VIN, they don't seem to be around now): https://www.amazon.com/BMW-Actuator-Mechanism-Genuine-OE/dp/B00KHB28NO.
I replaced it on my driver's side. I even bought some trim pry tools. But when the passenger side failed, I just had the dealer install my part for me. (I ordered the pair early on.)
Yea, in the center console. You can pick em up on Amazon..
I got these ones
I replaced mine with these and honestly I couldn't be happier 4 years later. They still look great and I haven't had any problems with them. I have an 07 that had the adaptive headlights and when I went for a lens swap it wasn't possible and the flimsy halos broke. IDK if they are set up different on the LCI model
Absolutely incorrect. Here it is. I've used it. It's real and it's good.
I recommend picking up a obd to usb cable and using a laptop with INPA to get the most accurate code readouts. A traditional OBD scanner will not pickup some BMW specific codes. I bought mine and it has come in handy many times, you can even register a battery with it.
Something like this would work well: https://www.amazon.com/LZLRUN-Diagnostic-Interface-FT232RL-Programing/dp/B017IG81SQ/ref=pd\_lpo\_1?pd\_rd\_i=B017IG81SQ&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017IG81SQ/
You can use it with the "old school" software that's easily available here: https://github.com/gushmazuko/bmw-advanced-tools
It also works with the official modern BMW diagnostic application called INPA, but that's not so easily available.
It isn’t officially available anywhere. You either replace the entire housing or you find an O-ring that fits. This one worked and stopped my leak.
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B07GP3XXVT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I finally found a set of iDrive Buttons. They’re technically for the F Series but after comparing photos they seem to be identical to the ones in the E series. Listing seems new because there’s no reviews and I’ve been looking for these for ages. I’m taking a gamble on them. They should arrive Friday and I’ll do a comparison. Hopefully they’re good because I feel like most advice is “buy a used controller off eBay” for them.
If you changed the battery type, you also need bimmercode to change the type. They’re about 40 each. You can also do it with ista, but you’ll need a laptop and a dkan cable, and will need to install inpa and ista, and it’s quite hard to get going. If you’re not good with computers, don’t use ista. You could also take it to the dealer or place that works on BMWs
Bought the 3-coil charger and printed out an replacement tray posted on Thingiverse. Worked great for 4 months, now the LED is lit (so we have 12VDC) but doesn't charge. TCS warranty requires ALL original packaging and items for returns. Bought one of these Wireless car charging pad for a third of the total TCS price.
Not sure about the wireless charging retrofit, but for the phone mount I would highly recommend getting one of the many ones on amazon like this one. They work really well, you don't have to fuss around with taking off dash components, and they don't look like the craptastic plastic phone holders of yesteryear.
There's good aftermarket ones on Amazon that come programmed for the specific BMW. I put these in my wife's E70 (not sure if it's the same part # as your car, but they worked great). No programming or anything required, I just dropped them off with my new tires when I got them mounted, put the wheels on and did a TPMS reset and they work great. They even come with paper instructions for doing a TPMS reset and have the individual transmitter ID numbers printed on it in case you need to reference them later.
Check the o-ring on your gas cap before replacing the DMTL pump, but yeah, they do need to be replaced eventually, they're a Bosch pump (check the part number for your car fist!) and not very expensive because they were used in a lot of vehicles. The only problem is if you live where there's road salt, those three little allen screws are probably not going to come out without a fight.
If you have to fight them out, you can use just the standard 8mm head bolts like all undercarriage panels use to fasten the new pump on.
I think you're on to something there.
I had to splice just about every wire in that harness to the trunk lid on my car because they almost all had broken coating (from cold weather). I didn't have an issue with the trunk latch, but yeah, it's in there.
I used silicone-coated wire and those solder-type butt splices you use a heat gun on. I highly recommended those if you have to splice wires and don't have a lot of room to work in.
First you need a K+CAN usb cable and a laptop.
Then you need to install BMW Standard Tools.
Then you need to use WinKFP to adjust the VO (Vehicle Order) string on all the modules that care what transmisison the car has. I've never done this and don't know all the details of which VO string and which modules, but I'm fairly sure that's all you have to do.
I got this cheap one on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T34JZGC
It's about 3/4" shorter than the stock knob, but I really like the look and feel of it. If you don't like it, you only spent $15.
You might want to look into getting a bluetooth scan tool you can use with your phone. I really like the mycarly.com one. I use it all the time.
Otherwise if you really want to get into it, you can download a pirated version of ISTA pretty easily and use a OBD2 cable like this one:
Makes total sense.
You know my previous car was a Jeep Wrangler Sahara 94 with which looks were not really important.
Like you, I only installed (only needed) a MP3 player and a source. So I stripped out the existing cheap radio and replaced it with a Gaming Computer Speaker set like this one . Those provides great advantages:
I installed the subs in the back and installed a cheap canadian tire inverter to power the 120Vac from 12Vdc. It has an built-in amp, and each time I got in my jeep, I pluged in my iPod and was blasting louder that most of my friends car radio (I was young).
It seems to me that this is pretty much what you need, like, no car radio, just speakers and an amplifier.
If you find a right set that would fit your vehicle, it may be a good option
used this product - there is a good tutorial on youtube showing the tactics to apply it. You'll need a heat gun and some patience but overall not too bad.
https://www.amazon.ca/VViViD-Air-Tint-Self-Adhesive-Headlight-Tinting/dp/B083QNTSLM/ref=pd\_di\_sccai\_cn\_sccl\_3\_1/140-2884251-0711550?pd\_rd\_w=0Ymti&content-id=amzn1.sym.668c311a-7c46-4fe3-ace4-99598d267e77&pf\_rd\_p=668c311a-7c46-4fe...
You can either buy a key programmer for $500-1500.
You can also buy a used CAS with one or two keys for $100 and program that to your car using ISTA. Or if you have a bunch of time and like unplugging wires but don't want to do any programming, you can send your CAS+DME to some guy on ebay for $150-$250 and he'll program some keys to fit it.
I use BMW Leather Care Set with UV Protection. I got it off of Amazon and it does a good job on cleaning the leather
Here's a link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FPTMLLM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_i_RP3QCA0EHSBP5N08ZJKF
these halos have lasted me over a year and still look the same as the day i put them in. Great upgrade, makes the car look a lot newer than the ambers IMO. Super easy to diy install. Good luck on whatever you decide to do!
Is M-tech the M style spoiler? I was thinking of getting a small one but now I'm considering this one or this one
Not who you asked, but I Have this based on the recommendation of this sub from a few weeks ago.. it works great so far

and then you will need another from the front face cover.
A word to the wise, BMW uses plastic melted rivets to the door card, I used a small file to cause the plastic to crack (like cutting a plus sign into the rivet) and then the door handle would release. The new replacement handle comes with normal screws to use so its a LOT easier to deal with going forward.
This is the way!

Until you replace it, you can't drive your car at all; coolant will boil and spray all over the inside of the engine bay.
looks like this in the glovebox
Turns on when you unlock the door and usually connects right up, only handles music, and doesn't have a mic... If you answer your phone it won't try to go through the stereo, which is exactly what I wanted.
Do you have USB in? If so, I have exactly what you need, it’s the Bovee 1000 with Y USB/AUX iPod Integration Cable for BMW, Mini Cooper Wireless Bluetooth Car Kit. It feels totally OEM, you can see song names and control with the steering wheel, and it’s totally seamless/binds the second you get in the car.
I no longer need this because I installed a Wakka CarPlay unit. If you want it for $50 shipped, DM me. Or just buy it on Amazon for $95.
I use this on my non idrive Bluetooth Kit Compatible with BMW... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JH4DRXM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. If i had idrive though i would probably go ahead and get the carplay unit. Looks so clean
Replaced all three handles for the same reason. Here is what I bought to match my texture and color. Looks flawless. It can, however, be a pain in the ass to remove the original pulls because of the melted plastic they used instead of screws.

I assume you changed the thermostat when you changed the water pump?
Air pockets would make it over heat to some degree, yes. If you filled the expansion tank with a special coolant funnel, you’d almost eliminate any air pockets.
Lisle 24680 Spill-Free Funnel, Standard Adapters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6AS6LY/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_F2E90WYX7WP2SA4XW6HW
My radiator lasted 170,000 miles and the only reason why I changed it was that it sprung a leak in the upper corner where the plastic meets the aluminum.
You could have a bad radiator, but it’s doubtful…
I’d try and get all the air pockets out with the special funnel & doing the bleed procedure 2-3x before o dropped $200.00 on an OEM radiator.

This is what I got for reference
The plastic "Mickey mouse" flange on the upper coolant hose near the oil filter housing will eventually degrade. You can replace it with an aluminum one off of Amazon.
I had issues with printing, too. I ended up buying off Amazon and painted cheap at body shop.

I got this one . I ran NCS expert and Inpa fine
Since I wanted to keep the factory radio, I used a quality line output converter, (connected to factory amp in the rear) and an amp and sub of my choosing. You can choose to go as big as you can fit, or as small as the room you want to sacrifice in the trunk.
I believe this is the converter I used to tap into the factory sub wires:

Hi, thank you.
OEM CCC replaced with Xtrons 8.8 Q series (only replace the dash screen). Still have the OEM menu as well as Android when you hold iDrive menu for 3 sec. Keep in mind, have to use the OEM AUX connection for sound (it's a must). Aliexp is good for bargains but I didnt want to take the risk and wait ages, so went with Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XLPY37X/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_VTM2N01BVJGXTK72TJXR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
For reverse camera, my car didn't come with one, just the F/R parking sensors. I replaced the stock boot open button with 'Xtrons' reverse cam/boot open button. However im guessing any aftermarket camera should be fine

I highly recommend keeping one of these around. It's extremely compact, is a great jump start kit, but keeping tires aired up is where it shines. You can set a particular tire pressure, and it'll stop when it gets there.
That way, you'll never have to drive on a low tire again. Keep them suckers aired up!

isn't this it? Unless the bore thing doesn't fit, idk how that works. Thank you so much for ur help, you are a legend.
Another vote for the super cheap aux input solution. I have something similar to this:https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Streaming-Wireless-Receiver/dp/B073S6KR2G/ref=sr_1_10?crid=NROVOD8B83CL&keywords=bluetooth+car+adapter&qid=1643320629&sprefix=bluetooth%2Caps%2C183&sr=8-10
Works surprisingly well on my 2007 and now 2011 335i.
I've got this guy and couldn't be happier: https://www.viseeousa.com/products/viseeo-tune2air-wma3000b-wireless-bluetooth-music-interface-adaptor-for-in-car-ipod-integration-bmw-usb-aux-in-connector
If you have iDrive it shows song info on the screen. I have an iPhone 13 pro max and it connects before I even think to touch my phone. Track controls on steering wheel work as long as you have Apple Music installed. Sound still goes through the aux and it does have to be plugged into USB as well.
Assuming it ends up being the fuel pump, it’s pretty easy to change. Several excellent videos on YT. ~$250 for the part, completely accessible by removing the lower back seat and opening both access panels. Be sure to get the lock ring tool as well.
Also of note, make sure the float on the fuel gauge sending unit is in the proper position when installing new pump….your gauge will either be WAY off or will float if not.
I used winpower, ordered off of Amazon. It exceeded my expectations but I've only been using them for about 7months now so can't comment on lifespan. link

It's really easy if you have a good iron. I do it all the time. Word of advice, find the angled style tips for your iron, linked some below so you have an idea.
The LEDs you need are plcc-2 3528s for most of it. But if you want to do the entire car you need 0805s. These are a lot worse to do with an iron, I recommend a heat gun and solder paste.
You need about 30 3528s to do your speedo, order 50 to be safe. From memory it's about 80 3528s and 40 0805s to do the entire car, get 100 and 50.
If you need any help drop me a message, I have a guide available.

You can get them all over honestly. $25 on Amazon is pretty average.
There's also the Bentley manual. More expensive but far more detailed and has torque specs as well. It regularly fluxes in price on Amazon between $90ish to nearly $200. Around $110-$125 is pretty common on Amazon.
Yup. Won’t hurt to throw a couple of these in there too Zarpax Car Dehumidifier - Rechargeable Dehumidifier for Car, Auto, Truck, Van, SUV and RV/Motorhome - Moisture absorber for Car, Dark Grey, Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PZ3VC36/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Z7NPR14E372HEYZD1X60

I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit in the center console without hitting the lid, but it works good.
We’re in the same boat for bumpers. I decided I could live with the license plate holes for now and so I got a set of $100 splitters from ikon motor sports to cover the corners. There are also splitters that cover the entire front bottom lip and are a lot cheaper than a new bumper/paint job. I upgraded my headlights to a kit from VIPmotoz for under 400 and I like the look of them. They still have some orange but it’s less noticeable and I plan on coding out the orange DRL’s anyways. Here is an example of vinyl to cover the orange on yours: vinyl cover.
Instead of a compression test to check for a head gasket leak, borrow/rent/buy one of those universal cooling system pressure testers and do a leak down test overnight. If the head gasket is the problem you'll likely have good compression on all cylinders anyway (unless you're blowing white smoke out the exhaust).
I had the adaptive lights on my car and it had the error on the dash when I bought it. Turns out the plastic rods that hold the projectors are broken on both sides.
I bought a pair from Amazon with a newer halo look and black housing. While I prefer the OEM look, you could make those work if you have a dark color car and black accents like shadow line trim, black kidney grills, darker wheels. I did replace the halogen lights that came with them for LED lights but that required some modifying to the plastic cap on the headlights to make it fit. And lastly you’ll need to code out the adaptive feature to get the error off the dash. Most def a pain in the ass any way you go lol
