different justice. they didnt form until 2003. they had some other projects such as microloisir and (also)starring but never released anything until 2003 as justice. they were graphic designers before that.
The Justice in this mix is a drum and bass producer. Here is his discogs page.
To substantiate: AllMusic also listed "Randy" for release during the week of September 16, and it was released as we know on the 14th. Seeing as the 14th isn't technically the week of the 16th as far as counting forward from 16 goes, it's safe to say that either "Randy" came out unexpectedly early, or that "Alakazam!" will either come out tomorrow or if not, then highly likely within the next week; I doubt it would get delayed further than that.
i think its this 10"" square record from the instagram video, matches up with the tags. https://instagram.com/p/0SaktRvzX9/?taken-by=edrec
actually sounds pretty cool, like rock - electronic. knowing american record store day releases though i doubt they'll have it here in Seattle, i'll definitely try to pick it up though. I couldn't find the soulwax x metronomy love letters remix 12" initially when it came out rsd, but actually found a copy a couple months ago in a store.
Hey man, I just recognised your username and wanted to say that I really dig the mix you made ages ago, I still listen to it occasionally. It prompted me to look up the GI Jane video a couple of weeks ago- that's a trip.
Gooselfesh - Take shot
Extracted from the Kavinsky set from Triple J back in 2009 (around 17 minutes in)
The reason i'm led to believe this is from Ed Banger is because of the very signature hi-hats that are not only close the whole ed banger sound but close to the one of the testarossa remix of sebbo (& another song/remix that I can't remember) and the fact that it was played by Kavinsky back in 2009(sebbo was doing his live edits for his first live set back in sonar 2009) and has that overall "Walkman" sampling style & sound
If you don't end up getting stems I would suggest checking out Who Sampled. Here is Justice's page, for example
What better way to learn how Ed Banger produces than to start with their source material?
I thought of adding that, but ultimately decided against it as it was really just a mix they did in December rather than being released or performed in the name of the holiday in my eyes. Here's the mix in question which is absolutely worth checking out to anyone reading this.
Well,I only used it for a Waters of Nazareth remake of the 2007 live I kept for myself;at this time I was still using razer kraken pro surround(as I also play(and this fucked up quite well some of my songs),but it somehow managed to still have this "catchy" kick and snare without it(even if it's far from their 2007 "dancy" drums) .
It looks like there aren't any black ones left atm. There use to be a drop-down small color menu when you click on the color brown.
how? the copy i bought on Amazon (2LP x 1CD) is $24
