CarKey is supported by 2021 BMWs and literally nowhere else, so don't count on it.

Check back in 5-10 years. There's a rumor that Genesis will be the second manufacturer.
No Maverick includes a dashcam. But there are plenty of great ones on Amazon like this
I'm a huge fan of the tailgate pads. I have the small Dakine version on my 2011 Ford Ranger and will probably use the same on my Maverick. I may build a rack similar to what Ford did in their video, but the tailgate pad is just so easy. Will be plenty of room for a normal bike in the Maverick with the tailgate pad. Though I need a new solution for our tandem bike, as that just fits in the bed of my Ranger.
I have this pad: https://www.amazon.com/Dakine-Pick-Up-Pad-Black-S/dp/B084D5V7FD/
There was an issue sourcing the 12" widescreen they were hoping for, and rather than delay a truck just for a screen they went for the 8" plus the shrine for your favorite Funkopop figurine.

I bought this one
[Upgraded Version] Dog Car Seat Cover for Back Seat, 100% Waterproof Back Seat with Mesh Window, Scratch Proof Nonslip Dog Car Hammock for All Cars, Trucks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WFMH6FW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_NM7DC12PAWV7R86BZHTK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 The reviews were all good except a few saying it’s not prefect water tight but I don’t really care about that as my problem is dog hair and dirt.
I like this one because it has the vented part up front so the AC can blow thru. It’s also got flaps to count the doors if you care about that
^^^^ Second that emotion ... this what I have:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DL8MS1T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Set of forward and rear looking units ...
Yes, something like this is a must.
Waterproof, catches some of the hair, protects against punctures.
I like it because there are different sizes available so I was able to get one that is a very close fit to my vehicle, without a bunch of extra fabric hanging down. This one is also nice because it has mesh in the center for good airflow.
You also might want to consider something like this to protect the doors if your pup likes to stick their head out the window.
Easy-peasy with that rear seat plug- electric bilge pumps are dirt cheap (link for example). Manuals are like $25 if you don’t have that plug or wanted something simpler. Wouldn’t take long to drain that out with either. Wipe it out with a towel and you’re good.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PGDKB5Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_13RE90DM4F4DTBX1NJB3
You can always get something like this but it's not worth it imo.
Unless you plan to keep that phone for many years, you won't see a noticeable drop in battery capacity.
Ummm maybe on the roof to give it more of a off-road look Universal Roof Mounted Fog Light + Bulbs + Switch (Black Frame Clear Lens) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07H3MBQSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_J2GDDV5CVJFZX7PA52MW
It’s pretty much something like this:
McGard 76029 Tailgate Lock, Black https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0043SCBD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_HAM9TGTS5HGNF9D61XA9
I initially had it on mine but decided to remove it because if I really want it I can add it on later with ease. You can also use a hose clap to the same effect.
All Mavericks some with a keyed tailgate to lock it in the closed position. I believe the xlt and above can are powered so you can do it without the key also.
I’d probably opt for something like this for easy use and storage.

Not for the Maverick but it’s this.
I can vouch for the Anker one. And this one is only $12 and is pretty grippy so I don't think it or the phone would slide around
1 inch Hubcentric Wheel Spacers... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O1CU0PS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
With these you’ll need a set of m14 1.5 small lugs with a low profile to bolt the hub and then another set of m12 lugs with a large flange for the wheels themselves.
Did some follow up in /r/overlanding and found that typically tow companies will use these to pull from. That being said these are not meant for snatching, only level ground winching. https://www.amazon.com/MFREXPRESS-Legs-Hooks-Bridle-Straps/dp/B08VGW8G6W
Amazon, people all over NY are using it. But you can only use top 2 holes to attach it, bottom does not line up correctly.
But works for me.
BumpShox XL - Front Car Bumper... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041LN1L4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I just used the normal outfit in the bed! They turn on pretty quick after starting the truck, and turn off right away after turning the truck off! I pretty much found the smallest bulb lights I could, they are called “mini”, the string was 23’6” and there was just a little bit extra at the end. This is the set of lights I used. And I used just some small clips with double sided tape to stick to my tonneau cover. These clips and to stick them down I did have to heat up the tonneau cover with a hair dryer so it wasn’t too cold. I live up in Canada in Alberta and have had a bunch of cops drive by and tell me how cool they look!
Oh, you're talking about leaving the base for an infant carrier. You said "infant car seat" which I took to mean the ones that are just like a carseat for a bigger kid just that they fit an infant (there's a lot of these that will fit kids from infancy until they're in grade school, like this one ).
Yeah, dealing with just a base that would be easier, presumably. Both of my kids were in carseats by the time I got my Maverick. So, I never had a base back there.
lol no, not a real suggestion, but more realistic than my initial reaction to burn the truck to the ground.
I think something like this would be reasonable https://www.amazon.ca/Xcluder-Rodent-Control-Steel-Fabric/dp/B006GQQVDW/ref=asc_df_B006GQQVDW/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292994481286&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4943804951167878486&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&...
Bought this one on Chewy. It's right now only 15 dollars. If you're looking for a tight fitting one built for the vehicle this ain't it, but for what I needed this more than does the job. I just wanted something to cover the rear seat so when I threw something a bit dirty on it, the seats would be protected. This fits fine and actually does have seat belt cutouts on it too so someone could sit and use the seatbelt with this thing on. Very happy with it.

I had something like this for my 2006 ford ranger. Took up pess storage space in the summer when I didn't need it.
Touch-up pen/bottle.
Like this, just find the matching color - https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-ATY1556-Exact-Match-Scratch-Touch-Up/dp/B00HE68GCC/ref=zg_bs_15709961_sccl_1/134-1121053-3271615?pd_rd_i=B00HE68GCC&psc=1
It's got the paint and sealant too.
Cerakote. Stuff is amazing on black plastic trim.
very weird it was $65 a week ago when I got it.... but there's 30$ off so $70 is not bad.
works really well for the week I had it, connects automatically when I enter the car after about 5-10 seconds probably.
Here you go: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B093GWYGH5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Confusingly I am pretty positive the "Mid-Size" one is the one you need. It takes a little bit of force to get the snug fit all the way to its minimum size, but a rubber mallet or a little bit of aggressive manhandling will get it to the size you need.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WQT248F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You only need to remove the left side bottle opener. The right side one is not affected.
I bought these covers from Amazon.
I cut the elastic straps and the hook off.
They are easy on and off. I have 3 that fold very nicely under back seat. They are quick enough to put on whenever needed without me needing to wonder if I am dirty enough for the effort . My drivers seat cover stays on most of the week and I take it off if I go somewhere after work. Weekends are the opposite.
I don't use my truck as a work truck most of the time so it is fairly clean most of the time. So your needs may not be suited for these covers.
I am also from Texas - will do - I know we have to have a front plate and a rear plate. And we cant have a "cover" over the plate. But can we angle the plate? https://www.amazon.com/Terisass-License-Universal-Adjustable-Registration/dp/B07VBFK614
I have the 3D MAXpider mats in my mustang, have for 5ish years now and IMO they're better than any weathertech I've had. Looks cleaner too, but that's just my opinion.
No, not really.
It's really too bad because it would have been so easy to make the hybrid an incredible generator.
The battery is like 4 of those $400 battery generator things, and the gas engine is over 10x as powerful as the biggest portable generators. Beyond that, there is already the infrastructure in place to output a lot of power from the battery quickly - something north of 20,000 watts - and also to charge the battery from the gas engine. Ford could have made the truck a whole-house generator that would last a whole week on a tank of fuel for relatively little cost/effort. Not only that, it would be a partially silent generator too...run the gas just to charge the battery, then shut it back off.
Man, that would have been sweet.
Mine just came in. The liners fit perfectly in the trays, and the trays fit perfectly in the console - even better than I was expecting. No trouble with the lid latching like other amazon reviews mentioned.
This was the item I bought because it was the cheapest with a coupon, $23.99 -15%: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4CNSDCY/

For the sound deadening am looking going for a Kilmat in the rear seat metal portion -- maybe do the doors in the future
I ordered this Lug(was $3.59 a month ago.) Haven't installed it yet as I've had no issues since putting a clamp on the existing fitting.
I will once I finally get my order in, but I’ve done my other vehicles using a kit like this: https://www.amazon.com/Woolwax-Gallon-Undercoating-Bundle-Color/dp/B07NLB62CR/
If you don’t already have a compressor and don’t want to deal with the mess search up Facebook marketplace in the fall and you’ll find local peeps that usually charge $200-400 to put down a good coat.
This one is nice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZQP5QG7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Stores very compactly under the rear seat as well.
As others have the said the key is the cables have to be data capable. A regular charging cable will not work. I'm using these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J3DPXD3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
When searching Amazon make sure data is part of the search term and review the item's description for reference to data transfer.
The only android auto issue I've had is occasionally after shutting off, like stopping for gas, the unit won't restart. I found unplugging the cable and plugging back in works
I'd love to see some comparison data logged via Torque or something like that comparing the ~30-32mpg people to the ones getting something closer to what the sticker says.
It should be able to log speed, rpms, altitude, throttle usage, brake pedal usage, boost, outside temp, potentially fuel usage, and any number of related factors. Then you calculate statistics to compare the different cases.
Used some "gear ties" and bent them around to conform to my phone shape (portrait orientation) and surprisingly it holds the phone (Galaxy S21 Ultra) well without slipping one bit. The ties hold their shape and are rubbery-grippy. I've used this a few times (once for over an hour) when I wanted to have the phone screen up and not on the wireless charging pad.
Random search for something similar as I don't recall which ones I picked up a few years ago (probably whatever Walmart was selling).
Gotta be super careful with trim on such a cheap car. What they accomplished is quite amazing for what I paid, just gotta expect lesser quality. That being said, I was somewhat impressed with the front door card innards and the glass track system. Pretty neat and straight forward, very easy to replace individual components down the road. After doing the speakers, I have a slight gap on the rear passenger pillar. Heat and time will meld it all together! I will say that adding the sound deadening to all four doors was a game changer. Really happy with the results and the “thud” of the door closing.

Wish there was a kit or mount like this to integrate into the third light:

so is it something like this? (https://www.amazon.com/Paddleboard-Snowboard-Windsurfing-Universal-Surfboard/dp/B09FPGNZJW) but dont you still need to have some sort of roof rack to make it all work?
My only issue with this is that it doesn't hold bottles that are straight, it can only hold tapered bottles.
I have a Coleman Autoseal bottle, 40 oz, and it would either not fit in this holder, or if it did, it would just fall right through.
I took two 1UP USA van trays, a pair of toggle clamps to latch to the stock D-ring tiedowns, and built a wood frame for bike trays. Oriented opposite of their hitch rack. it wedges the front wheel down against the rear of the cab/front of the bed. I'll run a bungee or strap through the rear wheels.
Originally tried using some rivet nuts, but the location I drilled near the cab had a bracket nearby that prevented install of rivet nut. The ribs on the bottom of the bed are also narrower than the base of the bike tray so it didn't support it well from side-to-side wobble.
I got these felt sheets and cut a piece out for that area. I did a half ass job putting it on so it doesn't look the best but I'm sure if you took your time you can make it look nice
I'm with you OP. I bought 3M felt rolls off Amazon. Buy a couple rolls and place them anywhere in the cab you find necessary. That is what I did. Make sure they are 3M and not a cheap adhesive or they will come right off. Here are the exact ones I bought.

Area 51 here. I got matte raised letters. I like the pop with the raised letters and did matte black to match the trim on the top of the tailgate and the bumper. Glad I did, I think they look great. Here
I was curious about those too. Seems to be a product like this: https://www.amazon.com/Action-Transport-Accessories-Vehicle-Lashing/dp/B08CVS2J7H/
But knowing myself, I'd crank the ratchet and bend the hood metal. It's probably a good thing I don't have anything to tie down on the roof!

I use this one in my Maverick. The first one I ordered was torn right out of the box but I've been using the replacement they sent for a couple months now. It holds groceries and plenty of our kids sports equipment for Spring football and soccer. I would recommend it. I definitely wouldn't buy one any longer than this one though. It fits fine and holds stuff well but it would hold things a little tighter if it was a tad shorter.

Yeah! Keep an eye out - I love mine. It came with the 17mm ball joint - I also purchased this phone holder for it and it fits perfectly with it:
Get a Meross adapter that can be added to most Garage Door openers.
Has an app and you can set up Google Assistant to where you just say "hey Google Open/Close my garage Door."
It also sends alerts when your door opens/closes or is left open.
.
I have the Ryobi garage door opener, which I think has since been discontinued. It has a phone app to open it, but that app does not have android auto support so it can't be used from the truck itself.
If you have a 'dumb' GDO currently, you can get something like this for $20 to smartify it, and give you control of it via Google Assistant and by extension Android Auto on the truck. Note that I have no experience with that exact product that I linked; I'm not endorsing that specific one, just using it as an example.
I used a spacer just in case, but I’m not sure it was really needed. But the room is there to add these and just be safe 🤷🏼♂️
