~~So could you provide a link where you bought it?~~ Found it on Amazon.
Now another question: Doesn't it bother the GO Plus with the +0,6V extra Voltage?
Please also note that the official Go+ does report its battery level to Pokemon Go, and there's a third party app on android (Go Companion) which can put the percentage in a notification -- but currently fails for the Go-tcha, usually showing 94% only.
Android? This app may help (also turn on Initial Boost):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion&hl=en_US
Also, before you try it, do a COMPLETE re-pair of the device.
Caveat - if Go Companion updates or your phone restarts, you'll need to re-launch Go Companion. It doesn't automatically re-launch.
I do have issues sometimes the FIRST time I go to connect after it hasn't been used for a bit. Hitting the icon a second time after it fails will cause it to connect. If it still fails, exit the app, force close it, toggle bluetooth, and launch the app again. It should connect this time.
OK the lgg6 has a horrible time connecting the Go-tcha as with most android devices alot of people will tell you a list of steps to get the gotcha to connect but ultimately you will waste a TON of time doing that the real fix (at least on my s7 edge) came from the most recent update from Niatic https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-117-2-release/pokemon-go-0-117-2-android-apk-download/download/
This is the apk for the newest update and after battling with the Go-tcha for months it connects the first time EVERY time.
I would use 1A Chargers only. White apple boxes. Especially if you are using the MiPhee Charger Cables from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/MiPhee-Charger-Cable-Go-tcha-2-Pack/dp/B0756KVF1Q/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1531436457&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=gotcha+charger&psc=1
After burning my first one out on my 1.5 amp portable charger I have only used 1 amp boxes and been fine for a month or so.
No problem!
Hopefully something in there helps you resolve your issues, sucks having a brand new device not working.
I also had an after thought that doing a Firmware update on the Gotcha may also help.
That can be done by downloading Detal's Gotcha App and following the steps in the App.
Good luck!
Just found and app was launched to update the gotcha firmware. I feel this improves connection issues. Resulted in a quick correcting on 1st attempt.
See here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.datel.gotcha
Hope it helps.
I would recommend using Go Companion rather than nRF Connect. Try it with Initial Boost on and see if that helps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion&hl=en_US
I'm aware of the difference, but typically if a Bluetooth device has been paired at the system level, you shouldn't have to re-pair all the time like that. I've never gotten the pairing dialog again once set up initially and I've used catchers with Android and iOS since the early days. This is the one I use with two iPhones and never see the pairing dialog on a reconnect. https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-MEGACOM-Catchmon-Catching-Collecting/dp/B081X7TN4H
I didn't pay that much for it, but not sure what seller had the original one I got. The old Go-tchas were horribly flaky when I first tried them so maybe that's one of the BT issues.
You may have to download this app for the forced auto connect if it's not connecting automatically. I have it and I have auto connect the moment I press the icon in the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.mygod.pogoplusplus
As a reply to this thread i explained the differences between the different got-cha’s and personal favorite. link
I have not looked into any catchon’s though... but i only read good things about them here. (They are too big/bulky for my liking. I would prefer the size of the247catcher
thanks for sharing this app! Only knew about GoCompanion, and this one finally fixed the problem of the annoying pairing notification when connecting the Go+!
I think a section on methods to auto connect on Android would be good (automating or skipping the pairing notifications). This app, PoGo+LE is the easiest one to use for people to not have to interact with the notifications.
Maybe a mention of how when pairing while using in Android Work Profile, you have to go to the phones Bluetooth settings and manually pair it (except when the device is still in the paired devices list, it seems)
Lastly, a troubleshooting section. Like how if the device doesn't connect, you might have to unpair the device from your phone's Bluetooth settings so the game can make a fresh connection.
I actually bought my first one on eBay lol, but I can send you a link to the actual company who makes the products link.
The first one is the older version, and it's open box. Must have quit making it. It's actually more expensive than the new one. There is another company who sells on eBay called mcbazel, but I don't know anything about them. Someone hypothesized they were an EU distributor, but who knows. I'd rather just buy it from the company who makes it, even though the mcbazel one has more and better ratings. If you go to the actual megacom website and go to buy now, it will take you to these links above.
There is a new 2022 version, but I don't think it has anything to do with a Mcbazel company. The new version is supposed to catch pokemon quicker. I have the old one myself. Here is a link I found to the new one.

Try this:

There's also this app where there's an option called "WakeLock", I have it enabled for years and I don't any weird issues with my phone aside from the normal Go+ quirks
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sebas.gocompanion
My phone is a Pixel 5
Yep thanks for the tip. That’s probably how Inlost my Go-tcha. Do you know if the auto lock is on the new autocatcher (2022 version) also?
Thanks for the suggestion, and I'll keep it in mind for the future. This is only temporary measure until I get the new Megacom Duomon ver2022, which is almost too expensive for me, but I wanted to get it because it looks you can use it on 2 accounts on 1 device.
Yeah, I was looking at this one since they're cheaper than most auto catchers. The Go+ isn't a good option for me because I just don't like how it looks, and with the one I linked I can just change the case.
use this to turn off screen
disable play update as oreo broke this functionality, and dev published an update that kills this app
I have tried but it did not work.
I also tried to remove the device from pogo and bluetooth but it is all the same, I contacted codejunkies and got some help, first they wanted me to go to the pairing device screen on the device, hold the button and let the device battery to deplete but the device can’t go to the pairing screen because its rebooting all the time.
Then they told me to let the battery run completely flat then charge it to try reconnect again.
I recorded the device and it looks like this:
I ordered this clip for my gotcha classic: https://www.amazon.nl/NEO-houder-compatibel-vervangen-Mi5-tracker/dp/B0821SDSPR
It fits very well. The gotcha clip didn't exist when I ordered my classic.
My battery life is weird. Sometimes 4 hours (active), sometimes more, sometimes it indicates 3 out of 4 bars and suddenly is out of battery :-(
You can use a charging cable for a xiaomi mi band 5/6. They are the same. E.g. https://www.amazon.com/EXMRAT-Charging-Compatible-Magnetic-Replacement/dp/B09NY4SFFF/ref=mp_s_a_1_12
What on a related note. What do you think of the Go-tcha clip? Usage, battery,…
Is it the gotcha evolve? If so yes it can come out of the bracelet.
I bought one of these to hold it and it’s perfect!

I once accidentally ripped off the strap from my gotcha evolve (the one youre not suppose to take off) and realised you can get on amazon key ring holders for both the gotcha https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FP16CKJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_XSC7YQ29YT54TFJPG0JK

The latest Magisk manager is 5.6.4 is what I meant. Updating the manager did allow the game to not crash on startup but it crashes the go plus for me.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
I don’t understand why you guys praise the gotcha. Just being in my pocket against my leg activated the screen and changed the settings which would make it stop working and that charger is legit aids. https://www.thinkskysoft.com/product-notexist/pokemon-go-plus-1/ Auto spin auto catch USB TYPE C CHARGING and it’s not a tiny ass pill to go missing with some rando ass proprietary charger.
I bought a dual catchmon. It uses regular batteries instead of recharging, but they last a long time. My son and I both play, so it's perfect for CD. We've had absolutely not one problem with it in the 5 months or so that we've had it.
I bought the white one, but it's more expensive now than the black one. No clue why!
From amazon
Brook Pocket Auto Catch - Auto catch compatible for Pokemon Go plus Catching Pokemon and collecting items just got easy (FOR Android version) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B06XXKYXLS/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_57568TQ74EF03DKKXYZS
I purchased a magnetic silicone holder on Amazon. It's a little case that fits the gotcha fairly snugly, with a little strap that magnetically hooks up to the back of the case, creating something you can just put on a belt loop or attach to anything magnetic.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07869KC5Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Silicone. Bought it on Amazon
Personally I have no fear of losing it. It is secure in this holder. I do know that there are 2 "versions" of the go-tcha. One of them is a fake and a slightly different shape which I believe is likely the one that does not fit in the cases as well.
No. I use lithium ion polymer battery:
battery: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1578
charger board: amazon link
I haven't recharged my battery in about 6 months. still going strong. no problem. with this setup, I use the mini altoid tin box as the case for my Go+ since the battery is larger than the original Go+
I got this little guy on Amazon Smile and it seems to be working perfectly for me -
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FP11WHC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So I wish I had known this before but I would return it to Amazon if you bought it from there. Use this instead https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitness.debugger . It's just an app that you sync to Google fit and it runs in the back ground. Works perfectly. I've been using it for about a month now and it's free. Make sure you set it to run at no more than 9 kph or else it won't register in pogo.
Then again I just read you have an iPhone so I don't know if that will work (I have no idea how iPhones work). If it doesn't, I just took some largeish bolts and nuts and hot glued them to the opposite side of where I put my phone. I guess a good idea would be to try to match the weight of your phone. I used a pixel 3 XL. Good news is that it is working and tracking the distance. Try switching between tracking a treadmill run/walk or just a normal run. That seems to work better than just letting it swing without starting a workout.
Everything eh? Well, in that case you're doomed!

Let's take a step back, and see what's happening. First things first, which Go companion app did you use? Was it this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion&hl=en_US ?

Have you ever been able to connect the Pokeball Plus before to this phone, or any other phone? If you haven't, then you might not know about the ritual. All Go Plus-like devices have a little bit of a ritual to get them working (although, the developers have recently made some decent progress to make it a whole lot less annoying). Some people need to connect the device in the Bluetooth menu first, before it will connect anywhere else. Some people need to specifically not connect the device in the Bluetooth menu before it'll connect to the game. Some people need to try to connect in the Companion app... whereas others need to run the Companion app, but try to connect in Pokemon Go. There's no way to know which sequence of events will work for you, you must try it out yourself, and figure out which way works for you.

Once you find the ritual for your phone you can keep connecting that way in the future, and you shouldn't need to discover another ritual in the future. This is why it's important to be specific for saying what you tried, and how long it hasn't been working.

If you have been able to connect before... what ritual did you use in order to get it to work in the past? And how long has it been since it worked?
I'm not experiencing that, but over the years, there's been a couple of people who have run into the same issue as you. Unfortunately, I've never seen anyone fix it yet. If it is happening on multiple Go+s, that implies the issue is with the phone, or the game. Can you borrow a friend's phone to test if the Go+s does the same thing? (Don't forget that you have to reset your Go+ to use it on a different phone... hold down the button until it turns blue, wait 5 seconds, hold down the button until it vibrates).

If you don't have access to a different phone, I would still recommend resetting the Go Plus, unpairing it from your phone, and ejecting it from Pokemon Go.

Does it look like the Go Plus is being used when it's not supposed to be? Is it buzzing every 30 seconds when it should have disconnected? While we're trying to figure this out, I would recommend using the following Pokemon Go Companion App:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion&hl=en_US
It has a feature that tells you how much battery you have left in your CR2032 battery. I would use it to help determine why it's draining so fast. Use it to track how much battery you're using while the game is opened, and when the game is closed (when it shouldn't be draining at all).
This is true for most devices that broadcast a signal. Lower power means the signal can't travel as far, and if your phone is too far away, it can cause issues. However, the Gotcha is a BLE device... it doesn't require a lot of power to send the signal in the first place. If you need to charge it so frequently that you need a portable battery charger, there might be something wrong.

How many bars of battery life are left when this starts becoming an issue? How many hours a day is it in use, and how often do you charge it? How hot is your phone when the issue pops up? In the Battery section of your phone, is Pokemon Go in the list of Unmonitored Apps? Have you tried the Go Plus Companion App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kingpuller.gocompanion&hl=en_US)?
You're looking in the right place. With the recent update (0.163.0-G and beyond), the game no longer uses logs. I still have a "logs" folder, but nothing is added there anymore. This is fix is outdated, and will hopefully remain so forever. If you're still running into problems, it's just the general Go Plus (or whatever device you're using) being generally bad at connecting to the game. What's different now, is that the connection isn't being thwarted for months at a time for really dumb reasons.
I have no specific advise for you, other than to experiment with your device to figure out the best way for it to connect. For me, I don't bother connecting my Go Plus to Bluetooth, and connect to the game directly. If it's acting up, I will eject the device from PoGo, and reset the Go Plus.
The process of getting it to connect may be different for your phone. I don't bother with Bluetooth because, for my phone, PoGo can't find my Go Plus if it's already connected via Bluetooth. Just... can't detect it at all. Maybe your phone will work better to connect through Bluetooth first. Maybe using one of the companion apps will also make it work better (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion&hl=en_US, or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kingpuller.gocompanion&hl=en_US). Maybe you have to clear the cache for PoGo or Bluetooth for everything to play nice. You may have to go through a lot of trial and error to find the sequence that works best with your phone, and no one can do it but you... unless someone here also uses an S8 that could recommend what they do. However, you may want to start your own thread to ask that question, there won't be a lot of people looking at this thread anymore.
First of all, as of the most recent update (0.163.0-G), the game no longer appears to use the log files. After backing up my own log files, the game is no longer creating the log files. Considering the log files weren't useful, and only seemed to cause issues, this is probably a good thing!
I have a different model of phone than you do, but here's what I do to get it to connect:
1) Eject the device in PoGo when the device is being iffy, close PoGo 2) If it's paired in your phone's Bluetooth menu, unpair it, and don't bother pairing it again 3) Open PoGo, go to Settings, and go to Go Plus 4) Press the button on the device a couple of times, rhythmically, about one press a second. When the icon on your phone has the green light on, press the icon. Timing is kind of a pain, but it always works when I press the icon when it's green.
Also, be sure that your go-tcha's firmware is up to date: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.datel.gotcha&hl=en_US
If that doesn't help, please let me know!
I'm sorry to ask, but I have to ask about the basics:
After 5 minutes of it being connected, when you push the button on the Gotcha, what happens? Does it look like the go-tcha is working/responding normally (except for the part where it doesn't catch or spin)?
So I haven't tried yet through the most recent update. I have a Megacom Dual Gotchamon https://www.amazon.com/Megacom-Dual-Catchmon-Connection-Collecting/dp/B07PHJJD3Z
Prior to the update 159 it worked flawlessly on my galaxy s 9 Plus and xaiomi note 7 aside from some random disconnections.
Currently it still works on 9Plus but will not connect on the note 7. I have upgraded to a Galaxy note 10+ and will not connect there either.Prior to recent updates clearing the logs on both devices didn't help unfortunately.
So since my 9Plus still allows it to connect I have attempted to use the Gotcha app to update it however it fails when it says connect to power source. I was kind of curious if anyone had suggestions for that.
I will try again to connect on both devices that have been failing shortly and update my comment.

Edit: Currently no luck on Either Notes but the s9+ still works fine.
Both devices see the go pluses available but will not connect when attempting to connect.
Also Gotcha software doesnt seem to be able to connect because it seems them both and tries to remove and re connect to each go plus session.
I posted this in another thread. It's only relevant to Android but if the IOS store has the "Go-tcha evolve" app then the instructions to update the device should be similar:
I haven't had any issues with my Evolve so hopefully updating yours fixes your issues.
Try this:
I haven't had any issues with my Evolve so hopefully updating yours fixes your issues.
I have a better experience with my iPhone -- my Android phone I ended up getting the Go Companion app and it seems to perform much better now. I definitely do have to slow down below 30mph to get the spins, and the spins are definitely slower compared with my friend's Gotcha.
this is super awesome for people multiboxing, means all gochas will work with all phones.
to respond to original post. get a few or a pack of 'Replacement Band for Xiaomi Mi Bracelet' same form factor
https://www.amazon.com/SelfTek-Replacement-Wristbands-Wireless-Bracelet/dp/B0757MRD6F/ref=sr_1_9
I have the same thing, always fails 1st try, always connects 100% of the time on the second try. (Android 7, motorola moto g5) I also have go companion installed, that will also help it respond, stay connected and can even give you notifications upon no balls, full bag etc. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaming.sebas.gocompanion
Here is what I do:
1) have GPS on, but bluetooth off
2) start pokemon go and wait for it to load
3) press the pogo plus button (flashing blue)
4) enable bluetooth
5) click pogo plus icon to connect from pogo main screen (will always fail)
6) wait for the connection failed message, then press pogo plus button again
7) click pogo plus icon to connect from pogo main screen (this will always connect and go companion will give the popup saying boosting pogo plus with x% battery)
if the above keeps failing you can reset the pogo plus by holding the pogo plus button untill it lights blue, release it and hold again untill it vibrates. It will have been completely reset and now blink white upon button press.
If you reset, or still have the white blinking, here is how to connect:
1) Go to bluetooth devices and remove the pogo plus (if there)
2) Turn bluetooth off
3) press the button on the pogo plus so that it is flashing white
4) turn on bluetooth and connect to the pogo plus
5) device should now be connected and pogo plus stops blinking and vibrates upon connect.
I use this app to set the connection priority to high, then it almost always connects as long as the spinning circle appears:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bluetoothcpm&hl=en
If the spinning circle doesn't appear, I force stop the app (and occasionally need to toggle bluetooth).
Reading from the reviews, it's a mixed bag, since there's those that say it fits and others saying it doesn't.
MiPhee is selling Gotcha gear, here: https://www.amazon.com/MiPhee-Charging-Cable-Go-tcha-2-Pack/dp/B075D15BR3/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1534271244&sr=8-3&keywords=miphee+charging+cable
Though I'd side with the guy who link to you Codejunkies's accessories kit, just know your options.
not sure about the charging cable that comes from the gotcha box. I lost that thing within a week at an airport.
But these for sure:
>1 amp will fry it.
I picked mine up sold by Amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06Y5BTX8L
So I'd always be confident in their returns and customer service (especially warranty support). When it comes to CodeJunkies direct I'd always be a bit hesitant for the messing about that you potentially could face when Amazon is a known quantity. Also after the cost of postage for me it worked out cheaper.
It's a Misfit Shine strap. I bought it on Amazon.ca, but here's one from Amazon.com
It's a Misfit Shine strap, not meant for Pokemon Go+ but it still works efficiently. I bought it on Amazon.ca, but here's one from Amazon.com
I ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013I41SPU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they fit great. I like having the different color options since I also got a couple different vinyl skins for it.
I got mine from here and I used the package that they recommend https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Li-Ion-Rechargeable-Button-LR2032/dp/B0058E94O6 but I've heard some whispers about is possibly causing damage to the go+, but I don't mind.
Here is an article from people smarter than I talking about i: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=199858.0
Mine became very ill-mannered after my phone got updated to Nougat. I've found that it works significantly better if I leave the screen unlocked on my phone with Pokemon Go active on the screen. I was able to go back to walking my collection loop around a cluster of PokeStops without having to slow down and/or come to a complete stop for every single one.
This of course defeats the power saving benefit of the Go+; but by using a power bank, along with Proximity Service to turn the backlight off while the phone is in my pocket, I can mitigate some of the loss.
