This one is an encounter map '' Krepost '' , it's been in early development since January
The one they're bout to release is the Skirmish '' Khutor '' map which is basically a soviet village centered around an eastern type of church ( They ran multiple tests on the prototype server about it )
Also guys if you ever wonder what the hell Reto is working on u just have to visit their trello page https://trello.com/b/Zcq44t2R/heroes-generals-development-overview
It gets updated like once a month with some exceptions .
I highly recommend ShadowPlay over FRAPS if you have an nVidia card which supports it. It records and compresses in one action without impacting game performance. I think AMD has a similar feature as well.
There's also Open Broadcaster Software which is FLOSS. The big difference with ShadowPlay and OBS is they use the GPU to process video recording and encoding, whereas FRAPS relies on the CPU and does not encode.
Well there is your issue. Marksman trigger costs a lot in repairs and has a horrible spread. That trigger was nerfed a long time ago (used to be OP) and is better suited for the Soviet SMG's now because they have horrible spread to begin with.
This calculator may be a bit outdated in exact cost amounts but is still good as a guide to help with knowing where your credits are sinking.
u/StroupBSlayen had a Cost Calculator that pulls from Sandman's cost sheet. You are correct though that most of these values are outdated and haven't been tested in a long time on modifications so they should be used as guide rather than fact.
ReDemoN's tool hasn't been updated in a very long time either so it doesn't include things after Everhart build like the M2 carbine damage nerf but I think a lot of its info is still fairly reliable.
Modification doesn't mean upgrade. You can click the modification and see its effect on a weapon. Use this site to compare weapon modifications (as, with H&G, you can only see what 1 mod does at a time)
https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwF7UGqPbT8Ad_PscA2IftxJRh2hDu7Za8tkJ9y2vr7ckZhFsG0/exec
ALSO TO NOTE: the person stopped updating that website a month ago, so don't expect perfectly accurate results if Reto changes anything, but it's still valid IMO.
Dude. My best games are with starter rifles. Even stock. A scoped M1G/G43/SVT40 is amazing but scopes are expensive to buy and repair (but not as expensive as grenades). You can't beat the versatility of those semi-autos; perfect accuracy at whatever range, really good hipfire.
Unfortunately, your system is just dated imo. I benchmarked the CPU and GPU. Your memory is DDR2 as well from what I can tell based off of compatibility.
Unfortunately, I would say a total system upgrade is in order, you're rather limited on what upgrades you can install on a machine from '09. (Usual life-cycle for computer hardware is ~4 years)
Someone may have better advice and can suggest some upgradable parts before you go all-in on a new rig. I'd say you could find a pre-built aftermarket computer that could play H&G easily for under 1,000 USD. (even less probably, but you get what you pay for)
Put aside a little money pay by pay, it'll add up. From a nerds' perspective a new computer is like Christmas morning, worth every cent.
These are the highest damage builds you can do, but the types of players that sit +250m away just getting their lulz in from the mountains will often adjust for precision since any round at that distance has its damage reduced and will require 2 hits anyways. For more information regarding the effective distances for weapons, you can use ReDemoN's old weapon tool
/u/poopdrip and /u/Cozichacozee
I've got a couple things that might be useful.
Here's a spreadsheet that just imports data from Sandmans and added a calculator to the front page for weapons. I also added some misc tank data to it because I could :P The downside is you have to add the file to your google account to use it.
I also recently made an HTML calculator. It's very simple and I'm sure there are some bugs because I've only been learning HTML/Javascript for like a 2 weeks. If there are any bugs feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do :)

Reto.JM explained a bit about this in his letter. The short version is that a few of the tools and work pipelines are being upgraded (switching programs used in development etc.)
On the upside, once the overhaul is completed, it'll result in more content (maps) coming to fruition faster. If you're curious, you can check the development pipeline here.
I think so. Haven't Sniped in a while since i found tanking alot more rewarding.
I use this to estimate cost for mods and weapons but i dont know if its accurate https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbyWXD6zyxh9Gh2kotQsdPWzbNPx2s57L58pEkdvoVWDmD6M5OU3/exec
0.89 credits per shot stock
7.71 credits per shot with just scope (and stock ammo)
10.05 credits per shot with scope, trigger,
12.63 credits per shot with scope, trigger, spring
Source: HnG Weapon Cost Calculator
It's hard to say which costs more to use; a modded M1/M2, or a OHK bolt action (~50 credits per shot for fully modded inf M1903, ~70 credits per shot for fully modded recon M1903
Having only gold probably isn't enough for Reto to make money. I think the veteran membership is very fair. $20 for three months sounds like a very good deal to me (and I can have heavy set on all my gimmick characters).
Bullet refills are actually the cheapest of all the mod repairs. As you can see here https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwF7UGqPbT8Ad_PscA2IftxJRh2hDu7Za8tkJ9y2vr7ckZhFsG0/exec?page=WeaponsComparison
It seems like you are either missing a file or you are not able to download a specific file.
Did you try disabling Hotspot Shield, then closing out the game and reopening it?
I mean completely closing out hotspot shield their program is a little buggy and sometimes wont completely cut off the connection.
New factions and subfactions are a lifelong dream for the devs but there is nothing being developed in the near future. Last time a faction was added, it didn't really go over well for the long term fun of the game. The RTS map being the main issue. For more information on their upcoming workings for the year please visit: Development Roadmap.
The US airforce force isn't as good as you think it is. Since planes are asymmetrically balanced, people only will play to their factions' strengths. USA dominates in heavies and refuse to play with medium tier. SOV/GER dominate in medium so they refuse to play heavies. Recon planes are pretty equal for all factions. There is no need to nerf anything, the main problem is the lack of skilled pilots willing to fly outnumbered in the tiers their faction has a disadvantage in. I flew in this game every day for years and can tell you on average USA has the weaker pilots, but they put up the numbers in heavies and that's all you need to win air superiority. Make it a 2 v 2 match and they will often just leave the match or switch to ground.
on their Trello page "Bipods" are on the "on hold" category, it says
"The ability to use bipods to stabilize machine guns for increased precision.
The feature has proven to be a substantial larger task to do than expected requiring a lot of developer- and QA-resources, that we would rather apply to other areas of the game"
which basically means they are not working at all on it right now and focussing on other stuff, which is fine of course, if the other stuff is worth it.

Kotton's vids are fine and funny from entertainment perspective, I think Tykjen's Twitch and Youtube would have more educational value. To have the viewer identify which role is being played, defence, attack or strategical farming, is another matter.
On the official H&G discord found here, you can find a section with many active clans recruiting. Alternatively if you go to the subreddit homepage, there is a section dedicated to find people to play with as well.
i run dual monitors as well.. about to go to 3 actually.. if you use multiple monitors check out Display Fusion in steam.. it goes on sale every now and again.. and i picked it up for like $10 or $15 dollars.. well worth the price.
https://www.displayfusion.com/
I know they need to clean up the ribbon progression screens, as it seems like it still references items they removed.. it'd be a relatively easy thing to do, and would help out newbies more than you and I
that and a friggin confirmation button when making purchase using gold or credits would be beneficial to us all.. accidentally bought a couple things just by reaching for my mouse a couple times lol.
Sorry I didn't get back to you as soon as I should have.
Your best bet for making a GIF are doing one of a few options:
Using a website like EZGif, limited by file size and time length. I believe Imgur also does this now, although it might be a bit more restrictive than EZGif
Using software such as GIMP 2. There are plenty of online tutorials for doing this.
Downloading offline software that is essentially EZGif but offline. Be careful about this, though, as some are pretty sketchy malware.
I personally use GIMP and Sony Vegas.
>I can't really afford anything at the moment
This is how I know you're not using a legitimate copy. Don't be an asshole, get a legit copy of Windows. You're also probably plagued with viruses right now, so go do an online scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/.
This is a useful tool to check what each weapon mod does and shows how fast you will kill someone, repair cost etc. It might be outdated in many areas but it is still somewhat indicative of the final result. https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbxTRwZ-5OfIeW8Tcef9wPyVB8rYHe7biWCEIcJe6g/exec?page=WeaponsComparison
https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwF7UGqPbT8Ad_PscA2IftxJRh2hDu7Za8tkJ9y2vr7ckZhFsG0/exec?page=AssaultTeamsStatistics outdated but its the same premise retos to lazy to change it
Belive me, you are making way less than with unmoded weapons, 50% accuracy, 100% accuracy , 25%accuracy u still making less, its more than 10 times the price. And when u play a map with long distances where u will miss a lot then =D =D .
take a look here:
Should add Redemon's Heroes and Generals tool so you know roughly how much damage your weapon is outputting (even if it's outdated, most of the weapon stats are still the same).
It is pretty out of date, so use as a guide more than fact.
You dont you just lose them but moto guards are prob the best also fighters with a good pilot are great send planes against para planes are great farm but heres what each unit gives
m3 has the same max rpm as the STG, but not stock Rpm. Good shit though I enjoy a good discussion
Use this tool to compare weapons https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwF7UGqPbT8Ad_PscA2IftxJRh2hDu7Za8tkJ9y2vr7ckZhFsG0/exec?page=WeaponsComparison
All medium tanks and TD roofs (excluding all Soviet mediums/TDs, as well as the Panther) have less than 20mm of armor, so in theory you could OHK them with 1 H3 and Infantry First Gold (set on fire with silver).
Sauce(may be outdated):https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwF7UGqPbT8Ad_PscA2IftxJRh2hDu7Za8tkJ9y2vr7ckZhFsG0/exec?page=TanksStatistics
> In this game the Tiger II has a little over 150 mm pen. The Panther has 194 mm of pen
Thats not accurate. The Tiger II can pen up to 170mm and the Panther can pen up to 130mm.
> You really want to move it down where the Panther can rip it apart, and the spawn price will be increased to Panthers level.
I would actually love that. It would be a US Panther clone. Same sloped armor, with just 2 weak spot. Just like the Panther.
As for the price. My Easy 8 already cost more than the Panther to spawn so i would actually enjoy paying Panther price for my medium tank.
No problem! Also I dont know when last this tool was updated but it compares weapons and also weapon billing. It even takes certain badges into account (heavy set, fast reload, tight grip etc.) when comparing.
Killing Heavy tanks with with 2 H3 each will cost you 720c each and you will gain 2000c each kill (IIRC.) Thus netting you 1280c each kill.
Or the non tank killing route. Use SMGs with few to no mods and cap a lot of objectives. You can find repair cost (for all mods and weapons) in my guild here or using ReDemon's tool here which does the same thing and more is a slightly more user friendly way.
The thing is currently the reason why the m1/m2 sucks at range isnt because of a large damage drop off (which it should be) its because the cone of fire becomes too large at range. Anyone who has the Tightgrip perk (which makes the cone of fire 75% smaller at gold) can use it at much larger ranges than the weapon was built for and fuck others.
Thats what I see anyway, might be inaccurate but in theory that should be exactly how it works yes?
Edit: According to this the damage will remain at 4hk up to ranges at 250m(175m with gold heavy set) and the gun never 3hks. Which supports my claim that the cone of fire is why it is supposed to be bad at range
The "Guides" section has a lot of blank spaces for more information, as well as links to a website that is not active. (Panzerfaustnews. Though the owner says it will be back online shortly.) The "Resources" Section has links to websites that aren't active (panzerfaustnews) The "Money Making Thread" is mostly useless and has out-dated information. The table itself has a lot of "to be added" boxes.
The "Clans" Tab has some what appear to be inactive clans, as well as dead websites. One example: 2ND FALLSCHIRMJÄGER REGIMENT "GRÜNE TEUFEL" Website: https://vk.com/fallschirmjagerregiment
Thanks, I was worried about that.
I'm still on a 1080p monitor with 144hz refresh rate, so the 1070ti might not have been needed (I heard the 1070 is best when going with a higher res)
I'll check on that power usage setting, thanks for the suggestion
I recently joined an all faction clan, I'm not advertising or anything, just recommending it because it's fast and easy to apply and join. They have 28,000+ members and we have "mandatory's" that you have to go to, if you can't make it you go on the website and fill out a short form thing to say why you can't make it and you're excused.
The mandatory's are simple fun events that everyone has fun in, our last one was going on encounter maps against each other using only pistols, nades, and melee.
The name is The Art of Warfare, they play lots of other games also, from monecragt to star wars battlefront. If you're interested in joining just go on their website (think it's www.taw.net but not sure) and apply, you go through a short "boot camp" where a DI (Drill Instructor, they have ranks similar to the military) will kind of tell you about everything and how to use the teamspeak server.
If you don't want to join just add me, my IGN is Kidbatman01, I main Soviet but love to play with anyone. Hope to see you there! :)
You are better off saving your credits and set your focus on buying acadamy trained commanders or a general, easier if you have a few bucks to throw at the game. If you are not prepared to spend money on the game to seriously engage the RTS side then you have to accept it will be slow grind just like the fps side of the game.
The other issue with jumping around branches aside from wasted credits is command point restrictions, you simply don't have enough command points as a commander of a single branch to really ever be profitable. The game is really designed to have multiple soldiers of multiple branches and that philosophy also applies to the RTS side.
You can increase the odds of being profitable with what little units you have by joining a clan, moving your units with other generals fighting a war front with good players on the ground will ensure your morale lasts longer and offer more victories than just throwing your units around with a bunch of randoms that will only waste your units.
If interested in the prospect of rolling with a very organized clan with every faction presence in game and on Teamspeak, TAW (The Art of War) is always welcoming of guests to play along side us on the factional TeamSpeak servers and you can even apply to join at www.TAW.net
Hello Everyone! I invite you to go on my stream to see how we do things in The Art of Warfare (TAW). We have two weekly schedule where we all get online and play together or against ;). It's always a lot of fun! Come in the stream and don't be afraid to ask me some question about TAW and the game!

Hey dontanion,
I recently joined a large clan to play H&G with and it's been a good experience for me. Perhaps it interests you as well. It's called The Art of War and you can find some more info here:
http://forum.heroesandgenerals.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=19317
I'll also answer any questions I can.
