I think that's the point though. I've read and re-read the books, including this:
The Girl Who Was on Fire (Movie Edition): Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games Trilogy https://www.amazon.com/dp/1936661586/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_snFfkZAmzUnLA
After reading the above book it just goes much more into the symbolic topics and I just think the ending was written the way it was because the hunger games is not a love story. It's meant as a commentary on modern society and the way it ends is about as "happily ever after" anything involving children killing each other can. It's meant as a warning; it is meant to be sobering and for us to think about the consequences of egotism and violence and how that directly connects to our modern reality and how we can often deify violence and competition as well as how technology can completely anethesize us from actual reality and what people face in poverty.
That’s because they are! The word Panem comes from the Latin phrase “panem et circenses” or “bread and circuses.” It described how the Roman government kept the citizens down and controlled through superficial appeasement. In the HG case, it was all entertainment to the Capitol citizens.
Cressida comes from a character of the same name in “Troilus and Cressida,” a Shakespeare play. Cressida is used often to depict a Trojan woman, and Rome supposedly originated from Troy’s people.
There is a poet named Cinna in Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar.”
Seneca was a Roman philosopher and playwright.
Coriolanus (Snow’s first name) is famous because of Shakespeare’s play “Coriolanus.” He was a Roman tyrant.
Plutarch was a Roman biographer and philosopher writing on many of the Roman emperors like Caesar and Claudius.
Cato, or Marcus Porcius Cato, was a Roman soldier, senator, and historian.
Brutus is well known for his murder of Caesar with Cassius.
These are just a few. Check out this link where they discuss them further as well as provide an entire list of the names.

Hey, mówisz po Polsku?
I'll write in English because I'm not sure!
www.bookdepository.com is an amazing online bookseller who ships globally for free. The item I think you are after is below. It isn't being released individually until the end of the month but it should cost you only about 8 Euro. There is no image for the product but if you google the ISBN it comes up with the foil edition. Hope this helps! Cheers.
By the way I've pre-ordered special foil edition of Mockingjay HERE
Please tell me it's this silverish foil edition not this.
there's another post about this, but i'll just restate what i wrote there. aimmyarrowshigh is, hands down, my favorite hunger games author. Twenty-four Victors, Twenty-four Tributes is my favorite story.
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8016005/1/Not_All_of_Me_Shall_Die saw this one on another thread here.. it's an AU about a District 10 tribute. it's pretty much one of the best ones i've seen that are about districts other than 12 and include nearly all original characters.
Here is [Grow Together]. I think it's done the best job (that I've found so far) of telling what happened between the end and epilogue of Mockingjay.
Try to think of clever traps to use, ways to sneak around them. Know your enemy. Use their weaknesses against them, and if you have the time check out "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. I'ts extremely helpful for strategy.
"Life Through Sea Green Eyes" is an amazing full story about Finnick's life, from his first reaping to his death and some more. It's about the length of a story book, and the details are amazing. Go check it out, I loved it!
I'm not normally into fanfiction, but I did find one that goes in deeper between the end of Mockingjay and before the epilogue. The author however does get a bit raunchy, and I don't think Katniss would have talked like that. Here it is!
I actually do have more. I provided a link to my current 4 stories on fanfiction.net on the r/hgfanfiction page - but here it is again: http://www.fanfiction.net/~moosebreezy
I am currently writing a follow-up story to A Dandelion Wedding. Please check them all out if you like!
A fan actually wrote a couple more chapters to add to the end of book three. By a couple, I mean 20 but they're really good! There are some spelling errors, but otherwise it's pretty good so far. Let me know what you guys think! She tried to write it in Suzanne Collin's style too. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6554253/1/bGrow_b_bTogether_b
The author of Fixed to a Star, a tragic and bittersweet fanfiction about District 2 tributes and their training, implies that a lot of the most successful D2 tributes come from broken homes and the Trainers see themselves as being rescuers, people who take broken kids and "break them in a more sustainable way". There is also lots of emphasis on the sheer amount of indoctrination involved in creating a Career. I think you might like it.

Let me know what you think!
There have been four releases of the Hunger Games Simulation since it first came out in 2013, which come with Daedalus versions 2.4, 2.5, 3.0, and 3.1. By "2.0" do you mean the 2nd release (2.5) or did you mean to say "3.0"? Either way, you have a version one or two years out of date, so try upgrading to the latest version 3.1. It may satisfy you more: http://www.indiedb.com/games/hunger-games-simulation-daedalus/news/the-hunger-games-simulation-version-31-released :)
Here's a Hunger Games inspired video game, in which you try to become victor playing against computer AI controlled opponents in randomly generated arenas: http://www.indiedb.com/games/hunger-games-simulation-daedalus
And if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can view the (badass) teaser for our short film on the kickstarter page. We've only got 12 days left, so if you'd like to see this short film become a reality, please consider donating! Thanks everyone. -k
Yes for sure!
Edit- I should probably add: If this is something you think would be really cool to see, please please please consider donating to the kickstarter! We're only 1/6 of the way to our fundraising goal, so the project WILL NOT happen without your support :D
The Hunger Games indeed makes a good video game, because it translates to a classic last person standing contest. In multiplayer it becomes a deathmatch (such as Minecraft), and in single player it's you versus computer AI bots, such as the Daedalus Hunger Games Simulation at: http://www.indiedb.com/games/hunger-games-simulation-daedalus
Daedalus and Minecraft are blocky, because they have randomly generated arenas. Random arenas makes a good Hunger Games experience, since you don't know what environment you'll be thrust into. It's hard to have fully 3D randomly generated arenas, e.g. games like StarCraft have random arenas too, but its graphics are only 2.5D isomorphic.
when you have finshed with the 3rd book, try this

I was having hunger games withdrawal, so another redditor gave me this link, i love this fan fiction story and gave me that extra day of HG and i thought it was writen well, just like is susan collins had writen it
At http://www.indiedb.com/games/hunger-games-simulation-daedalus is a Hunger Games inspired video game. :) It simulates arena fighting, with randomly generated arenas in which you can pick your District, health and hunger bars, and 16 different weapons ranging from bare fists to Tridents. Watch out for mutts, the forcefield at the edge of the arena, and the occasional tribute who digs up and resets the launch tube landmines (which you can dig up and reset yourself if you like). Unlike Minecraft, it's single player with AI controlled opponents, so you can play as much as you want without having to find 23 other people to play against. It avoids the "killing children" aspect with minimalistic Minecraft-like graphics (and if you assume you're playing a Quarter Quell tributes may not even be children in the first place).
You can get a box set of them on [Amazon]( https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/054579191X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I totally agree.
As long as it isn't Twilight. Or Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach. That would be weird
