formality: formal / casual
politeness: polite / rude

Personally, I like saranghamnida.
For everyone that wants to make it at home: this is probably the best instant version. (Bonus points if you watch Please Take Care of My Refrigerator)

I think I relate to Go Dok Mi from Flower Boys Next Door. I was really shy when I was younger (now not so much. I can give public speeches just fine but I still hate asking store employees where a certain item is lol).
Go Dok Mi and I are both quite the homebodies. Though I'm not as much of a hermit as she is. I enjoy going out and visiting places but I stay home for the majority of my week.
She's a copy editor, and I am a bookworm.
She's described as frugal, and I'm totally the same. I always hunt for deals and buy the cheapest option!
Some things that are different: I don't have attractive flower boys roaming around me. Haha!
I have shared Netflix subtitles for episode 1 and 2 on subscene. They release two new episodes every Tuesday: https://subscene.com/subtitles/prison-playbook-wise-prison-life-seulgirowoon-gambbangsaenghwal
You can find the whole song of it here since its part of the Jealousy Incarnate OST.
Man I can't wait for Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo so I can hear that particular "WHAT?!" All the time, ahaha.
I have shared Netflix subtitles for episode 3 and 4 on subscene: https://subscene.com/subtitles/prison-playbook-wise-prison-life-seulgirowoon-gambbangsaenghwal
They release two new episodes every Tuesday, thus I will post new discussion thread on Tuesdays
wait... i thought that DF always had a partnership with amazon prime? it was always an option to watch their dramas, but you had to start a trial of DF through amazon. I distinctly remember seeing this concept a few months ago when I was looking for places to stream.. and i'm guessing now they're not available because the partnership is over, and that they'll be removing the titles.
edit: for example, if you want to watch the "Poirot" series on amazon prime, you have to get a free trial from BritBox. It was always the same for DF.
In an ideal world... 😁
Tbh, what I really want/hope for is YJ being mature about her leaving. It's important for Mi So to do what she wants for a change, and now that they're in a relationship, I hope YJ doesn't have the same insecurities about not seeing her and can actually support her.
The writers have been really good about not making the characters unbearable in their affection so far, so I have hopes
It's fine, we all have been there! Honestly, unless K-dramas are truly, TRULY hindering you from your studies and your social life, you don't need to worry about it. If it does disrupt you of your duties, you probably would need to disconnect yourself from the internet, or use website blockers to help increase productivity . If you need to focus for a few hours, you can use this . Stick to a strict regimen of a few hours of studying, and then watch an episode of K-drama, and force yourself to stop even though it's hella tempting to watch another episode of it.
Not speaking on everyone's behalf, but the lot of us are - or at least I'm - homebodies (prefer to stay indoors) so socialising isn't a problem... or at least, isn't one of our 99 problems? Lol. I bet if you do go out and all, you'll have no problem 'forgetting' about K-dramas for a few hours. You can still find a someone to date and make them watch K-dramas. Heh heh.
I know it's easier said than done, but like I said, if K-dramas disconnect you from your responsibilities, then you have to disconnect from it. Give it a try. Hope it helps?
There are two types. One is velcro strips, stick one half on the wall, the other on the frame and the velcro holds it up. The other is pretty much like a sticky hook for the bathroom. The main idea is that you can remove these without damaging the walls, but I haven't tried that yet
Hulu has a lot of popular dramas including Sam Soon; don't know about HD. I would recommend My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox, Dal Ja's Spring, and Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
My absolute favorite dramas are the hardest to find good versions online of. If you do though, they are so worth it: Biscuit Teacher Star Candy (or Hello My Teacher), Flowers for My Life, and Delightful Girl Chun Hyang.
Ah, Her Private Life is the fangirl one, I should start that one!
For my non-kdrama I use trakt.tv (when I remember). I'm like over a season behind on Game of Thrones since I gave up my pirate life (except for K-dramas) I don't think I'll avoid the spoilers much longer... I was interested in The Umbrella Academy though as there were so many ads for it here.
People always upload in subscene, you can see which one is the english version in the 1st row, it sorted alphabetically

Have you tried playing the intro and using midomi to see if it can recognize the song. It'll be comparing it to a huge database.
on the sidebar to the right, under "Subreddit Info" you'll see two boxes, the second should read "Show my flair on this subreddit. It looks like:" make sure to tick that box and press edit to pick a flair, there a millions of flair so you might have a hard time picking, I know I did. But Reply 1988 is still the drama that had the most impact on me, first drama that made me cry just because I was sad it was ending. I love it so much.
That's another one of our favorite shows. We still call each other Tokki Twaeji sometimes. Amazon really has everything, I found the pig rabbit if you still want to buy it. Here's the link.
> dramas have been known to switch story lines midway.
Just a great short summary and you deserve kudos for the clear, concise explanation of what I have discovered about Kdrama myself. If OP reads this comment, and since he does mention he's studying "film", I hope he understands that some dramas are preproduced (completed and in the can prior to broadcast) and some have only a completed script for the first few episodes, leaving the writers/producers to wing-it if it has low ratings (switch story line) or medium-high ratings (stick with what got them there). Main characters might disappear entirely for a few episodes only to show up at the end in a Deus ex Machina resolution. Some dramas might suddenly end abruptly, like whip-lash in a sudden stop.

**OP - I would recommend: [Why Do Dramas Do That? by Javabeans and Girlfriday on Amazon]( https://www.amazon.com/Why-Do-Dramas-That-Part-ebook/dp/B00FJXQ476/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=why+do+kdramas+do+that&qid=1559705048&s=gateway&sr=8-1 ). Written about five years ago its still relevant to understand the basic tropes, (wrist grab, Cinderella romance ...)** No - I have nothing to do with Dramabeans.
ExpressVPN is working great for me when I watch Netflix AUS or UK. I've been able to watch both Something in the Rain and Live without waiting until Netflix US decides to drop all of the episodes at once.
When you use Viki your region (US/EU/ASIA... etc) has content based on what Viki purchased a license for.
so for example: Viki is legally allowed to provide "The Heirs" to it's users who are connecting via a European IP Address.
If an American wants to watch they will need to "get" a European IP address, this is what TunnelBear does.
You connect to TunnelBear and it "connects" you to another another country giving you another IP address. This means that you can then go back to Viki, and watch the content you wanted as if you were in the country it is licensed for.
This is not the main purpose of TunnelBear, but it does the job. The main point of TunnelBear or any VPN is to provide you with a "safer" internet connection as anyone you connect to only see's that they have an incoming "TunnelBear" connection, rather than seeing your IP address. (:
Personally when I first tried to understand VPN's they were confusing as hell... I hope that explains it, I tried to be as "simple" as I could. lol
Yes - it wasn't bad to set up! Notion itself isn't that intuitive in my opinion, so I find it much easier to utilize/duplicate other users' awesome setups.
If you want to see the original template, you can reference the post here & click on the user's Notion page and there's a "Duplicate" link in the upper right hand corner!
If you want to leverage my modified template, you can access it here to duplicate as well.
Netflix Asia releases the latest episode 5 days after it aired in Korea, given the length of the episodes and that I'm pretty sure they only hired 1 person to do the subtitles, I say kudos to that subber!
Anyways, from the moment Netflix releases the episodes every Tuesdays at midnight Los Gatos, California time, it then takes additional time for each, illegal streaming website to download the subs and reupload a sub version. Certain websites take up to 24 hours, while some are faste.
If you can't access Netflix Asia like me and are tired of waiting for streaming websites to re-upload a hard subbed version, I recommend downloading the raw episodes and adding the subtitles that u/ordinaryguy92 provides every Tuesdays on your own. It's what I do. These subtitles can be found here on subscene sometimes as soon as 30 min after the episode has been released on Netflix.
And this is the fastest way to see the subbed version. Also, there will be no new episodes (except for the ones that aired this week and will be subbed by tuesday) until next year, the Prison Playbook team is taking a break for the upcoming holidays~
MPV is a better player for playing at fast speeds. VLC's speed causes the pitch to sound weirder. MPV manages to keep it sounding reasonable (Use the [ and ] keys to slow and speed up)
I typically watch kdramas and kvarieties at 2-3x speed as well. When I sometimes reduce the speed back to 1.0x, it feels like they are speaking in slow motion.
I have no idea why the cursor doesn't disappear in Opera - since it's based on the same foundation (Chromium) as Chrome. I even tried the Beta and Developer versions and the problem persists which mean's they aren't even aware of the problem.
It also doesn't hide the mouse arrow in Firefox, but that might also be one of the many extensions and modifications I made to my browser. I'll try later with all the extensions disabled.
But it seems to work perfectly in Vivaldi - link which is also based on Chromium (so it's as stable and safe as Chrome). It's a browser made by the same team of people who used to make Opera but decided to make a new browser with more flexibility and choice for users (how it works, themes, privacy, tab stacking, notes, screenshots etc) which is much more than Chrome offers - you might like it.
I'm originally from Turkey, and I didn't know of any dramas that were adapted from Korean so I googled it, and we have loads apparently??? So, long story short, I have a lot of Turkish adaptations to binge watch over the next few weeks! Here's a list with a bunch of the adaptations if anyone's interested.
I'm not sure about wavve (a korean streaming platform) I read in the app that it isn't available worldwide?
wavve(웨이브) - 재미의 파도를 타다! - Apps on Google Play
I wonder if Viki/iQiYi will pick this up, since this is the 1st time that I heard of this platform hmmm.
I have to second the other person who commented Shin Ramyeon, my family and I have been eating that brand ever since I was a kid (I'm Korean).
Also Samyang is insane. I ate that once and I've stayed away from it since lol. I'm pretty good with spicy food but Samyang destroyed me.

Definitely VPN it. I live in Taiwan. I know the struggle. NordVPN is cheap and I haven't had any problems with viki, Netflix, or Amazon prime (although Hulu and I are gonna fight). Don't pay more than ~$30usd a year for it. Edit: and when that doesn't work reddit site it.
You need a VPN. OPERA native vpn was working with Viki for a while, but it stopped working some time in 2017. NordVPN works great with Viki and is hella cheap (they run a $99/3 years deal CONSTANTLY). I use it for basically everything these days. It even works to cast Viki to my TV. I can't cast Netflix or Amazon, but I'm okay watching on my laptop sometimes (which I'm assuming is more like all the time for you and most people).
I had the same issue with Netflix being several episodes behind when I was watching Mr. Sunshine. However, having access to a decent VPN like NordVPN solved the issue for me, since I also found the wait unbearable.
There are a few things on Viki that have been EU/non-US for some big names, and a VPN just lets you "connect from another country" I use TunnleBear, it's got a really simple UI, you just tell it what country you want to connect from turn the on switch and off it goes. it's free to use up to an amount, but then you can tweet for them to get more tunneling or you can pay for it.
either way it's still cheaper that paying for it on Dramafever, ALSO having TunnelBear gets me access to like HBO or ABC and what not networks from the US, and you could do the same with say the BBC iPlayer... so I don't only use it for KDrama! (:
> I can't use either as a Brit...
I'm from the UK as well. I just double up Viki with TunnelBear and that allows me to VPN to the US or Asia (or 7 different countries) which gets me pretty much all the content.
Can you not use a VPN (e.g. Hotspot Shield)? Obviously I don't want to recommend anything that would be potentially illicit (I'm not sure on the use of VPNs in China so be careful) but most sites which won't provide you access will work if you set your VPN to the US.
EDIT: Just realised TeeheeS also recommended a VPN. Hotspot Shield is one example; it's free with a few adverts when you have it enabled or you can pay for a license with no ads.
My usual methods of getting around the region lock have failed me, I've just got an account with TunnelBear, at the moment they are doing 33% off! pretty nice little application! (: Thanks for the recommendation!
I'm also in the UK!
I use Viki though. What I do is use TunnelBear to VPN me to America and watch that way.
The cost is about £2.55 a month at the moment cause TunnelBear has a sale of 33% off... Check it out
However if you're not willing to pay for a service, most other ways I found to be very unreliable and eventually stop working. So I don't have any other solution ):
For me, I prefer Viki, they sub a fair few hours before DramaFever, have more shows in my region and they charge less than half the price of Drama Fever!
Also... because they charge half the price of Drama Fever it leaves me with $6 to get a VPN for gaining access to all regions so I signed up to TunnelBear (thanks to a /r/kdrama user's recommendation... it's simple and very easy to use.
So here's how it works out for me:
So even with a VPN gaining me access to all regions content on Viki I'm still paying less than Drama Fever and I get my subs faster!
Google Play has Dramafever and Viki - both are streaming service apps for mostly Asian TV and movies. They will do commercials unless you pay a subscription fee.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dramafever.large - I have it on my phone and my tablet as well as a couple of smart TVs.
It's on Netflix now, a super easy primer on how company's turn money into political influence and use it to rig the system to benefit only the rich in the name of freedom and the free market. It's excellent, if as me, you haven't been able to get through 700 pages of The Shock Doctrine.
There are several K-Drama "Best Of" music collections on Amazon: Here's one for example.
> Woman in Gold was a really good film
I recommend reading the book if you haven't. It's excellent.
eta: http://www.amazon.com/Lady-Gold-Extraordinary-Masterpiece-Bloch-Bauer/dp/1101873124/
LOL I came here to talk about this. It's The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, specifically the Penguin Classics paperback edition. Snipping the description from Amazon for those who aren't familiar with the book:
>Machiavelli's highly influential treatise on political power
The Prince shocked Europe on publication with its advocacy of ruthless tactics for gaining absolute power and its abandonment of conventional morality. Niccoló Machiavelli drew on his own experience of office under the turbulent Florentine republic, rejecting traditional values of political theory and recognizing the complicated, transient nature of political life. Concerned not with lofty ideal but with a regime that would last, The Prince has become the bible of realpolitik, and it still retains its power to alarm and to instruct. In this edition, Machiavelli's tough-minded and pragmatic Italian is preserved in George Bull's clear, unambiguous translation.
It's not available in Germany either :(
If you haven't done that yet, you could use the free trial of a VPN service? In the past I have used NordVPN and Surfshark, both give you a 7 day trial if you get the app. Then you could set it to a country where it is available on Viki. I'm not sure which though, maybe USA?
I don't know much about VPNs but I do use one to watch dramas not available in my region so here's how you could watch these two episodes:
Note these instructions are for watching from a laptop. Should be the same for a smart tv but I'm not sure. There are also a lot of guides online on how to watch disney+ with a vpn
Give NordVPN a try? Ive been using NordVPN for years (for torrenting/streaming) and it works perfect. Once in choose to connect to a South Korean server. Close out of Chrome and go back on Disney plus and its there.
I managed to watch it using NordVPN. I just changed my location to SK. But it’s hit and miss with VPNs (I watch a lot on US Netflix because German Netflix gets shows months later sometimes) and sometimes it works great. Other times it doesn’t work for days.
You liked him in such K-Dramas such as Joseon Exorcist, More Than Friends, Black, About Time, and Chief of Staff.
Did you know that KIM DONG JUN's first starring movie role was in the first Korean movie ever made by an American writer/director?
DEAD AGAIN is now back, streaming on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Dead-Again-Directors-Cut-Dong-jun/dp/B0993VH8Q5
This indie romantic thriller, with doses of the supernatural and psycho-horror, won top awards at major festivals in New York, Philadelphia, Houston and Calcutta! Two couples bound by love, tragedy and an old diary cloaked in mystery.
Still better than some of the dramas out there. A lot of what makes a kdrama great is execution, you know? You could turn a simple story into a masterpiece with the right cast, crew and director. And you could take an interesting pile and produce sixteen episodes of shit if you've got uninspired people.
I can imagine this going either way. I'm not trying to be negative, and I'm not trying to put you down. This is just a rough outline of the story, and nobody can make an accurate assessment from a rough outline. You haven't written the end on here, and that might make it or break the story.
If you feel like playing around with this, writing a full on story (or webtoon, if you're talented unlike me), try Tapas.io or webtoons. I'd check it out.
You're welcome. I have plenty of beef about korea remaking Japanese dramas, so it's easy to set me off!
I hope you enjoy Nodame Cantabile, although some people haven't liked the manga-esque humour. The live-action has a drama, 2 SPs (specials) and 2 films. It also has an anime and of course the source manga. The drama is very compact at 11 episodes, and charts very well the growth of the characters at that stage in their lives.
The thing is, I don't expect an exact copy for remakes - that is not possible. What should be done is to respect the essence of the source. The live-action of Nodame Cantabile respected the source manga even if it did make tweaks here and there to accommodate another medium. It didn't stick in a silly love triangle, make up new characters, or use random music that doesn't fit the characters or what it means to them. When you listen to Beethoven and the times Chiaki has conducted it, you understand what it means to him at the different stages of his life. When Nodame plays certain pieces on the piano, you can understand how this affects her growth and that of Chiaki's. But there was no sense of character and musical continuity in the remake.
As for Shinya Shokudo, I usually know it by its Japanese name, so I had to google the Netflix one. Is this the one you watched? https://www.netflix.com/title/80113037 This seems to be the newer one, the Tokyo Stories. Anyway, Shinya Shokudo has 3 seasons: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Shinya_Shokudo And yes, there is also a film.
Should you need recommendations of Japanese dramas, please feel free to buzz :)
Yes. I use Notion to create a database of all the kdramas I've watched. I like using Notion because there is an app and it can sync on my account so I can easily access on my laptop/phone.
I am fairly new to kdrama this year and I finished 21 kdramas since the quarantine happened (5 months or so).
Ddukbokki is easy for me to make so I usually make it at home! I live a little far from the nearest good place that makes this dish so commute and delivery would take a while.
I usually whip up the sauce since I already have the ingredients, then add frozen dduk + other toppings if I have. When I'm lazy I'll use this similar sauce packet and add the same stuff.
>This is a great description - I loved how the evil dudes ran into all the villagers doing the most typical things and Sang Deuk was just lying on the street dead drunk.
The evil dudes being frustrated and taken down by the collective madness of the villagers was a perfect end to the "main conflict" of them trying to leave with the money. Arguing Man Goo, comatose Sang Deuk and Belligerent Gramp's after they knocked down his chocolate. Only the most patient would make it out!
>you can use Photopea which is completely free and online - here, but you can also just link them together in Paint or something like it.
EEEK! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Upping my recap game!
Episode 15 preview long version via Naver TV
Will update this post if I found a YT link. Pro tip: use savieo.com to view regional restricted Naver TV links
yeah, that site you mentioned (but got deleted because of this sub's rules) is sadly (very sadly) not available in Europe :( However, look at this site, it tells us how much time is left before each episode is shown (in Korea)!!! https://next-episode.net/flower-of-evil
The english sub is not really good cause the original subtitle done by a subber team called DSS_Indo, they only make Indonesian subtitle of Children of The Lesser God and someone translated it into english.
If I use a stream search site like https://www.justwatch.com/nl/search?q=korean%20dramas I got 46 hits for the Netherlands and https://www.justwatch.com/de/Suche?q=korean%20dramas 69 for Germany, still less then the 89 for the US.
Would be so much better if the would stop doing geo-blocking for the EU at least.
Every app that is compatible with trakt.tv should work pretty good. You can watch a list of apps down below.
I personally like, Serist and Movist. I use Plex for stream on iOS devices and can also be synced with trakt.tv.
Every work of fiction regardless of genre should have a generic verisimilitude, even fairy tales. No matter how outlandish the premises of the work are, it should carry internal consistency. In the world/universe established in IONTBO the mother plot still doesn't make any sense, nowhere it's hinted that magical plastic surgery exists etc. It just seems like a poorly thought plot device.
> After all that Eugene had been through in his life, I just wanted him to achieve some happiness.
I disagree with you, Eugene achieved happiness, it wasn't continuous because in love with a woman whose noble cause made her cruel. The Shows timeline is hard to establish but their flirtation, their secret dates at the apothecary, their escapade to the beach, their walk in the streets, their rickshaw escapade, their photo session in Tokyo, , her "putting a ring" on his finger and saying once for all and very sincerely "she loves him and has loved him from the start" (now that she really do know what love is) all of those were moment of happiness, the issue with Ae-Sin and her cause (that is why he asked her many time, why does it has to be you) and other circumstances and factors, there was continuity between all of this moment.

> Ae-sin lived this life as the “noble fool” and never really suffered the way the other characters did
I agree 100% with you, up until episode 24, she had to watch the love her life (up to this point) and protector die in front her, i think at this point she finally suffers the consequences of her choices.

Not having any problems now, but I use a Roku for streaming. You might try clearing your cache, logging out and back in might also help. I have had a problem before with the Roku lagging, but turning it off, turning off my modem/router, and then turning it all back on after a few minutes solved the problem.
You can check Dramafever.com at this site: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/
It's actually really simple, just take a look at this Nordvpn tutorial. Basically you just have to pick your device and follow the steps. Regarding the safety and etc., as long as you don't download shady or free vpns, I think you should be fine.
one of the saddest scenes after Episode 2 where Gang Hwa accidentally found that Yu Ri came back alive. My tears non-stop flowing till the end of the episode (⌣̩̩́_⌣̩̩̀)

No, I really appreciate the advice! I read a couple of chapters of the translation on Exiledrebel, and had a couple of "huh?" moments. I think your advice to give it some time to breathe is good. I'll probably watch the spinoff movies soon. Sounds like a rare situation where the adaptation really did improve on the source material.
According to Amazon the paperback is coming out in December. It looks legit (has the author cited properly).
Honestly, fanfiction isn't my speed at all (I could just see why audiences might want more and take it upon themselves...). But I'd be really really interested in the analysis. Is any of it translated, do you think? I'll have to go looking...
Anyway, thanks for all our your thoughts on this - it's been fun! My work friend watched this a few weeks ahead of me, so I've had one IRL person to fangirl with. But if I could be a noona, we joke that she's an ajumma, so I will be really curious to also get her impressions of the novel (I think she's going to read the online translation).
Yes, although it might depend on which VPN you use. Some VPNs even have apps for streaming devices like Amazon's FireStick.
Free VPNs are neat, but they might be free because they sell your data.
I use ExpressVPN (one of the more expensive ones). The app works very well on both Android and iOS.
Hey late reply here. Is the copy you purchased even more limited, seeing that it has the autographs of the 5 actors? I just purchased a copy here from Amazon but it doesn't mention the cover cards being signed.
I looked it up and it’s not only a real book, it’s also about music! I’ll allow it. 😂
Memoirs of a Geezer: Music, Mayhem, Life by Jah Wobble
“A frank and fascinating account of a geezer's life in the music business. Jah Wobble begins by offering the most authentic insider's account of the beginning of punk rock yet. He covers the celebrated ups of his career along with the downs, both personally and professionally. Throughout the book Wobble tells it like he sees it.
Jah Wobble is one of the founding members of Public Image Limited (PiL) along with John Lydon. He is a bassist, singer, composer, poet, and music journalist.”
https://www.amazon.com/Memoirs-Geezer-Music-Mayhem-Life/dp/1846687209
We’re talking about a balm/moisturiser. So it’s gonna be much more expensive regardless, because all K-skincare are that expensive. This is what i found on amazon -
Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Moisturizing Multi Balm Stick (9g 0.32 oz) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08BFG7229/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KhcbFbXARZNRM
You’re right though, depending on the brand, there ARE some Korean skincare/makeup on amazon that is much cheaper than buying them in Korea itself.
And once again my brain became disconnected - so here are some recommendations if you care to read and learn more about Kdramas. You can find these on Amazon - and they are fairly cheap.
Why Do Dramas Do That
Copyright 2013 - older - but the tropes in Kdrama's never change. I boght in 2016 and still have it on phone and reference it. It has the basics and explains the tropes so even I can understand them. The two ladies that wrote this ran a website for Kdrama fans for awhile until it became to much for them and they sold it.
The Birth of Korean Cool
u/GSV_Zero_Gravitas recommended this book. Its up-to-date as of last year. and an easy read. The author, Euny Hong, seems to have more academic degrees than the number of plot points in Stranger. But she has the gift of making complicated things simple to understand.
I usually switch it up between logging in under a Canadian IP and a United Kingdom IP, that between where i live (USA) i usually can unlock every show
I also use Private Internet Access VPN (the little green looking android) and it’s been super easy to use
Yeah it’s pretty cool. Above the English subtitles they have the Hangul subtitles. When you click on a word, it gives you both the Romanization of the Korean, the literal English translation and a speaker button which plays the word out on its own.
As for watching it from Australia try using a VPN. The only way for me to watch My Love From Another Star without paying for a Viki Pass was to use TunnelBear to watch it on DramaFever.
Hmm, I use Private Internet Access and haven't had any trouble using DF. I usually log in through an American IP (I'm in the US). I haven't tried using any other country.
I can't use the VPN for Amazon Prime or Netflix though.
I use SeriesGuide. It keeps track of all my TV shows American, and Korean. Has a section for upcoming and recently aired episodes, and works offline.
Well there is this small app a friend made which I haven't updated in forever :P but I haven't considered making a full mobile app because I can't program and I'm not sure what I'd want it to be. For mobile apps, I personally like Naver's dictionary, but I learned Korean without a smartphone so I didn't get into any apps. And thanks for being a subscriber :D
