I used the Mothers NuLens kit which has everything you need except for the drill. Comes with the drill chuck attachment, 800/1500/3000 grit sandpaper attachments as well as the polishing ball and the plastic polish. I took my time, and it took about an hour per light. Well worth the $20 and 2 hours of my time, imo!
Auto parts stores carry things like this so you can mount with however you like.
I bought a Lexus because of the stellar reliability rating. Teslas have poor to average reliability thus far, which hasn't been widely reported because people have been happy with their high tech cars. If they don't improve it with their new cars, it should be a big issue as this new market will likely be less forgiving.
http://www.consumerreports.org/cars/tesla-reliability-doesnt-match-its-high-performance/
http://www.hybridcars.com/tesla-says-model-s-reliability-issues-cut-in-half/
Maybe it improves, and I like the idea of an electric car. There's just no way I'm moving from the most reliable luxury car brand to a Tesla. Their cars haven't been out all that long either, and we will likely see a lot more problems as they age. I personally find the interior underwhelming, but I seem to be in the minority with that opinion.
I use this to avoid this problem. It basically blocks the key fob from communicating with the car.
When I'm not using that car, I put it in the pouch and put it in the kitchen drawer. The only time the fob is out is when I'm actively using the car or out and about.

If you’re comfortable with electrical wiring you can add a USB charger to one of those blanks there. Here’s an example, don’t have to buy this particular one but do your own research

Actually they're nearly the same transmission. The 350 F Sports use the AA81E, which is the AA80E modified to mate with the 2GR-FSE V6 and also has some sensors to detect G forces, which the transmission uses in order to hold gear in hard cornering.
Lexus has actually boasted in the past about it being the IS-F transmission:
https://web.archive.org/web/20140707082908/http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/features
Edit: To clarify, all RWD 350 models (IS, GS, and RC, F-Sport or non-F-Sport) get the AA81E.
I was just curious which one is the most reliable ranking system so I can have a look. that other stuff you're talking about.. is it different here? http://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability/car-brands-reliability-how-they-stack-up/
Something with a sealant to prevent it from coming back.
As for carpet, Chemical Guys and Adams are known to be good. If they’re really bad, a hand held steam cleaner will go a long way. For interior detailing, you have to make multiple cleans to get really good results. I would just look on eBay for a set of Lexus OEM all weather floor mats and call it a day lol.
Hey, thank you so much for sharing. That’s actually the exact product I ended up ordering off amazon. The company’s name is “carlinkit”.

After tons of research, I was heavily debating between beatsonic and grom. I did prefer the beatsonic a bit more just because I was not a fan of that android menu. Personally, I felt that it looked tacky to have to go through that android menu opening up car play. However, these kits were both running $6-700 for carplay that wasn’t wireless which I did not like. I eventually came across this product on YouTube and figured to give it a try. I’m glad that you shared the video so I can see what it looked like installed.
Na, I just came up with my own plan as I went.
Just about any 5volt buck converter will do the job, just get one with enough amps. I think the built-in usb provides ~600ma, I got one that outputs 3amps from a source voltage of 6-18 and I think it cost like four bucks, I bought a pack of 5 though as I use them for all sorts of projects. You'll power it from a constant 12volt supply, which I just piggybacked from the 12volt accessory socket. I also put in a 12v regulator between the 12 tap and the buck converter, just to ensure a clean steady 12v source to power the buck.
As far as wiring, that wasn't too bad, just find the four wires for the usb plug, cut the 5v pin so you only power the usb from the buck, but tie all the grounds together to serve as reference ground for the buck.
If you want to support fast charge, there are a bunch of premade circuit boards and reference designs, but I didn't bother on mine. I used to get the "your device is charging slowly" notification all the time with my pixel, now charges perfectly.

no reason to go to a mechanic. they come out rather easily on my vehicle (LS430) drivers side requires moving a fuse box out of the way on mine, but everything still takes about about 15 mins max, just a couple bolts. it was my first time doing it too. there's likely a youtube video out there for your RX.
the only thing to keep in mind is you need to wear gloves and/or avoid touching the actual bulb, otherwise you may transfer oils from your skin onto the bulb and it could potentially burst. it's unlikely. just open the box carefully and place it in carefully.
these are the ones I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FJ71Q2M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
the expensive OEM Philips ones do last a very long time, so depending on how long these cheap ones last, I may or may not go OEM next time around. but still very little to lose buying the cheap ones.

Ask the dealership to get a quote for labor for changing timing belts. Mine was around $350 at the Toyota dealership. I bought the TKT-021 kit from Amazon and just handed it them, so all said and done just under $500 for timing belt/water pump/wp gasket/and tensioner.
You need D4S bulbs 45 bucks from amazon for the Philips bulb.
You will love it. I have a 2014 luxury with all the options bought certified in 2016 and although the first owners abused it I've managed to bring it to a reasonable splendor. Can't argue with paying half price for a certified Lexus.
Remember you have a warranty and free service, I've gotten new tires for free out of the deal when they could not balance them on a routine service visit.
My only issue was self-imposed, I hooked up one of those battery tenders that you can mount in the engine compartment similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS2D-Direct-Mount-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W3QSMF9
and it started doing weird things like disabling the radar cruise control and throwing airbag codes. Removed it on a whim and everything went back to normal.
Happy cruising!

I have the same exact IS 300 as you and I performed the tune a couple weeks back. Didn’t get the intake though. Nevertheless, it’s worth it for the tune alone. The car is much livelier and I’ve had no issues so far. Easily the best $500 you can spend on these newer IS 300’s.
Just a heads up though. You will need to make sure the battery is fully charged when performing the tune, so make sure you have a car battery charger ready. This is the one I used:
Buy this, plug it in and turn ignition on, let it read the code, google the code.
I highly doubt it's battery or alternator related if you were able to get the car to start and keep it running. More likely it's misfiring and running poorly enough that the car is in limp mode to prevent further damage. Could be one of a hundred different causes, likely very minor.
This kit worked really well on my hazed Prius lights.
Although it's not available, the one item it has that others don't is the clear-coat finish, so any of the kits with the sanding and plastic polish will work.
If I remember from my lube tech days I think there's three sizes for Toyota filters.
We used these style cups for all filters. If you use them correctly they work great. Make absolute sure that when you put it on that the fins on your filter match up with the cutouts on the cup, or else you can crack the plastic housing. They can get stuck, but typically that's because whoever put it on last put it on way too tight which means you had to put way too much force to get it off. Regardless, since these have a hole for a ratchet you can just put an extension on it and give it a wiggle side to side and it'll come right off.
Also, you might already know this but it doesn't hurt to say it again. When you're replacing the filter inside the cup, make sure that you also replace the rubber O-ring below the threads. When you replace it make sure you give it some lube and be aware that it stays mostly in the same position as you tighten it up. The plastic cup style sometimes can bind up that o-ring on install and will snap which will make it leak. Sometimes it's a lot, sometimes it's a little. Sometimes just starting it won't show you that it's snapped. My advice is start it after and let it run for a minute to make sure.
You could still use an air freshener but I would not get the ones that stick in the vents. They do more harm than good.
I have something like this in my car,
Not super helpful, but if you don't want to tie up a 12V port and have visible cables, you can use a fuse tap like this one and route the wire behind the trim, up and around the windshield.
Frankly I'm more interested in replacing the button with a sunglasses holder, seeing as my RX doesn't have one.

Left front I hope? I don’t show any dealers to have them, and my aftermarket suppliers don’t either. Plenty of motors, no regulators.
BUT Amazon has the regulator and motor combo, looks to be OEM too.
Unfortunately this material is very prone to being scratched. While the scratch can’t be removed, it can be disguised. I spray this protectant on a cloth and dab it on. Repeat every few months which I think also slightly protects against future scuffs.

Try looking up 'patch for leather seats in cars' and see what you can find. Something like this may be what you need. You'll need to apply a larger patch over the peeling part so the adhesive sticks to the good portions. One thing I'm not sure of is how this patch will react in sunlight and heat, so do your research.

I have an RC but the interiors are close, right? I bought a suction cup mount with a long extension arm that I mounted on the right front edge of the shelf in front of the screen. I rotated it and extended it so it is within reach but doesn't block any controls and the screen is still visible.
This one. I have it plugged into a low-profile USB charger in the armrest and then into the aux socket. It's been great so far, though of course you can't control tracks from the car controls - you have to use your phone for that.
For a 2004, it's probably the sensor. Rather than buying the 300$ part, You can get just the aisin or denso sensor on amazon for 20$ each and take apart the headlight level sensor and replace the internal components. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TV9P468/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There’s multiple ways to power it, that’s just the way I do it. The only cable visible is one single cable from the dashcam up the the headliner.
I installed this myself.

I like the factory look, and don't need parking mode.
I installed a USA SPEC BT45-TOY in my RX330.
It's more money and a more involved install but it's not visible and works like it was a factory option.
It's a really nice way to update and older Lexus.
Thinkwares are outstanding in my experience but it does get little involved if you are looking for parking monitoring, and i prefer doing it myself as I don't trust others installing these as if it's their own car.
I'm trying no name brand for my ux from Amazon this time as I honestly don't think I'll run the parking monitoring draining hybrid battery or something, so I went with this. Still haven't received it so I have no clue if they are decent, but I liked the cam integration with stock lane cameras.

I use Carpro Reset every time on my ceramic coated vehicle, best soap out there. My vehicle needs it though, it only gets a wash every month and it gets extremely filthy anyway.
I have the TriNova Foam Cannon, double the price OP mentioned, but has some better features like a wide nozzle for draining and filling, and wide base for keeping straight up and not falling over. Pick whichever, they're both good options.
Has anyone purchased the screen on Amazon from Carstoll Amazon.
It appears to be the exact same one that Lexion is selling.

Adam's Graphene Detail Spray Coating
The results were great. The Lexus lives outside and Adam's Graphene Spray ceramic coating lasts well in the elements. Best of all it was really easy to apply. Be leery of the spray bottle though. It really mists the stuff and I'm sure it's not good to inhale.

You are right about looking to Lexus first if reliability is your primary concern once purchasing your car, but this data here paints the rest of the Germans as "above average." I didn't realize this until now but Infiniti is ranked 22nd.
You're better off going the Lexus route and if the maintenance plan from BMW gives you any peace of mind, is still a good option.

Fair warning, leaf blowers don't blow 100% of the water off as you might expect. It more so disperses it in the air, making there less water droplets for you to wipe up when you go in for the final towel dry. But in that sense, it still helps a lot.

Beware of some sellers advertising as Android 6.0 or whatever latest they have implemented in their programing. Mine was advertised as having Android 6. Big lie. It was running Android 4.1 via an app that detects the true OS.

Yes, I'm talking about the mic that is built into the unit. It's crappy. I think the Ram folks mod the mic with a thicker cable and grounded the mic wire to the headunit's chassis for better noise rejection.

In my case, the headlamps were lightly oxidized, so I just had to use stage 1, the clarifying compound + cotton rag. After that, the lights are clear, as seen in the after photo. In more advanced cases after stage 1, they want you to do stage 2, spray lube and two pads with different grits. Afterward, you use the base seal and top seal wipe. I would advise using a latex glove instead of the plastic one they include, as it is hard to get a good grip while wiping the headlights evenly. Good luck and I look forward to before and after pics

I'm using this one currently, its a little expensive but I needed it because it can do graphing for O2 sensors so I can diagnose those pesky P0420 lights for poor catalytic converter. This scan tool is nice to have because the screen is bright and its handy to do a quick check of the emissions system before taking the car to get smogged so I dont end up paying $60 just to fail a test.
The heck, don’t do this. Lots of terrible advice in this thread. There’s an AUX port in the center console box, buy a BT receiver and connect your S21 to the receiver. Theyre dirt cheap, I used a $5 one on my 08 GS350 when I had it
Just get something like this https://www.amazon.com/Baseus-Bluetooth-Wireless-Microphone-Handsfree/dp/B097B6CGZW/ref=mp_s_a_1_24?dchild=1&keywords=bluetooth+aux&qid=1632453337&sr=8-24
plug this device into a car charger, then the AUX into your car in the glovebox. Connect Bt from your S21 to this device and play AUX on your head unit. #bluetooth
there are even USB C adapter with pass thru for the AUX so you can charge and listen to music at the same time
Hey OP. In my previous car, I was using USB C with AUX pass through so you can listen to music and charge your phone at the same time
Get this: Mini Wireless Bluetooth Receiver, Bluetooth 5.0 Car Adapter & Bluetooth Aux Receiver with Clips Design 3.5mm Stereo Output for Home Audio/Car Audio Stereo System, Headphones, Handsfree Calls https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CSF9GRB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_E70FD1B699H118N07DC3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It turns bluetooth into line-out, which you connect to line-in. It’s like bluetooth headphones but without the phone. You pair your phone with it and connect it to line-in.
They do: USB Type C to 3.5mm Female Headphone Jack Adapter,USB C to Aux Audio Dongle Cable Cord Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S21 S20 Ultra S20+ Note 20 10 S10 S9 Plus,Pixel 4 3 2 XL,iPad Pro and More (Grey) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089CP79XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q4FV35YEB8FT1AV08G55?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Lol
My brother who was the owner for 6 years didn't use anything and they wore out A LOT. The back seats look perfect though.
I use this Lexol product now once every 2 months, or when I remember.bAmazon Link
There’s probably some wires in the front map/sos panel that you can use. 2016 es350 here and I found someone on YouTube did this. Worked for him. Not fuse protected so I’m out going that route, but I’m sure it’s possible.
I’m hardwiring to the fuse box using this
Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, Mini USB Hard Wire Kit Fuse for Dashcam, Plozoe 12V-24V to 5V Car Dash Camera Charger Power Cord, Gift 4 Fuse Tap Cable and Installation Tool(11.5ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXJD8W1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WXCDNGWQJ09V25P79AN9
Either. But make sure you have the correct tool to remove the oil filter housing.
I have a 2017 GS 350 F Sport, and I wish it had the cup holder slot in the door panels. I think this is my first Lexus that's missing it ('11 IS, '17 IS, and '19 NX). Not only do I find it useful for extra water bottles, but it prevents objects from sliding around in there. I thought about buying the OEM door panel cup holders for a RAM, but I'm not sure if they'll fit.
There are some really good looking aftermarket ones out there. If the car didn't have DRLs already I would upgrade them immediately.

I bought his for my new NX: Amazon.com: Munchkin Brica Elite Seat Guardian Car Seat Protector, Crash Test Approved, Dark Grey, 1 Pack: Baby

Its not just a cushion but actually has a solid almost plastic/cardboard material inside it. I didnt want to just use something fabric as it could still push down through it. I have had it installed for a week, after work ill pop off the car seat to see how its doing and report back. I can tell you I had a temporary car seat in there for like 4 days before I got it and it had already left an impression that was largely gone the next day.
Get these for your headlights and these for your fog lights and light up the night !
Hi it's this one here. It's a triple camera set up with some light GPS features. I like it better than my Viofo 119a.
And haha yeah I like sporty looking features but I actually drive my car very gently and slow the majority of time. I like to baby it in hopes it will last longer.
Since it's a Lexus, it will probably get to 300k lol.
I highly recommend these wagner.

These are for my 2001 find the ones for yours.
They're much cheaper on zon than local parts store.
Dashmat cover is what I am using and they are available on amazon. There are other options including replacing the dash itself but I am fine with this dash cover for now.
I recommend you get Katana LEDs for your fog lights. I have them installed on my Lexus ES350 currently

Cons:

But if you put one of the vent i recommend one like this. Especially if you have those ling vents.

I went through like 4 before i found one that worked.
$220 is a bit steep for a belt replacement.
Gates makes excellent belts and it's here on AMazon for less then $30 and it's a Prime item. Replacing it is fairly easy and straightforward. Somewhere near the front of the engine should be a belt routing diagram for you to follow. You can also borrow a tool from your local auto parts store (Advance Auto or Auto Zone have a loaner tool program) that will include a bar and socket end that you place on one of the belt tensioners and it releases the tension so you can remove the old belt and install the new. You can tell which way the belt should go onto each pulley by the finish of the pulley. Smooth? the smooth side of the belt touches it. Ribbed? Ribbed side of the belt. Your video in OP is a good guide. It seems pretty far in depth though. I'm a IS350 owner and can replace my belt by opening the hood. They're showing the removal of wheels and jacking up the RX. IF you're not comfortable doing the job find an independent mechanic. I doubt a belt replacement would cost $220 from them.
30K seems a bit low to need to replace a drive belt. Older belts typically lasted about 50K miles and newer ones made from EPDM can go about 100K miles. If there's cracks in the belt, unless it's split the cracks typically occur in the ribbed side of the belt. I've seen people drive cars with belts that are missing most of the ribs and they'll refuse to replace it still.

Found it on amazon, my only problem now is that its only white wires on the picture and mine is colored..
This is the one I got from Amazon. Not sure how the OEM spoiler is shaped on the underside as mine is a different aftermarket spoiler, but this size should work for you. There are videos on YouTube you can check out for prepping and tips on applying it.
So I used the Lexol cleaner on my seats recently and it worked great. Didn’t leave behind a smell really at all and made the seats feel softer to the touch (and cleaned them). I bought a little leather safe cleaning brush on amazon. Mind you this is on my 2008 is350. As far as I know, the seats are actually leather on the 2is, however they are coated with a plastic sort of layer. I read into it a lot and what I found was that the cleaner does what you want it to do - cleans the seats, but the conditioner is not necessary. Because the seats are coated, the conditioner is not able to penetrate the leather, and so what you would be left with is a greasy layer on top of the seat that ends up rubbing off on your clothes.
What I did was wet the seats a bit, apply cleaner with microfiber cloth (I bought some little microfiber applicator pads from Walmart who also now carry lexol) and then use your brush to scrub the seats (I did it in kind of a circular motion). Do one section at a time and then wipe off with clean microfiber and that’s it! Worked really well and it didn’t have a bad odor and very little residue left over when it was all done.
Here’s the brush I got (did a ton of research on this, careful which one you go with because many of them shed badly, did not notice this shedding one bit).
