Nothing wrong with good rope.
This, for instance is 8mm rope with a 4200 break.
Unless that camera weighs more than 840lbs I would say it's to spec.
Here is an article about it. He got it to prep for the role in Taxi Driver the movie. So, no he was never a full time driver.
Even better, here's a view of the same building via Google Streetview, and if you scroll around you can see the fence. They're in Coney Island just a few blocks away from the boardwalk.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Corpse Bride, here are some Trailers
Agreed!
I sort of want them to bring everyone back to make the sequel: Dracula: The Undead.
Written by Dacre Stoker (great-grest grandson of Bram Stoker), this sequel takes place in the Victorian era at the time of the Jack the Ripper murders. A fantastic book that needs a screen adaptation

At the risk of coming across as a complete dick, I think the line in the movie is actually: "Come on you apes, you wanna live forever?"
Course I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Interesting link for people interested in the book.
I second this recommendation and add this, which I finished a few months ago. Not only one of the best "making of" cinema books I've ever read, but also a fantastic book on the timeline of concept to release of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY...
you can watch it here if you have amazon prime, but otherwise i suppose you could look in a certain bay populated by sea brigands
Does anyone know where I can download this movie? Obviously being in the US it’s literally been wiped from the face of the earth :(
I have ExpressVPN in France and Netflix still won’t show it to me.
There are plenty of fake electronic state cigarettes out there that pass scrutiny. Film is less forgiving that stage but we did a production of Carmen and if you are familiar with Carmen, it's about girls in a cigarette factory and all the girls had fake cigarattes that blew smoke.
Also a book The Eighth Wonder Of The World: The True Story of Andre The Giant which goes into some of the myths that seemingly always come up in documentaries about him.

What a nice project. I love to deal with historical ships and their history. However, I am not a model builder, but rather a photographer and graphic designer. I have photographed the Titanic and also the Russian Aurora and also 1 two warships as a model and put them in full speed again... The goal is to bring the model to life and to turn back time. What do you think? May I show my Titanic picture here?

What you normally would do is rotoscoping. Drawing lines wit loads of points then animate it, making a mask. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotoscoping
The green helps automate this process, all the Green becomes a mask (with a feather).
Drawing a blob around the face inside the green is no problem and you can add this to the mask. You have to recreate (part of) the background anyway, since all the masking creates a hole in the image and is only filled with the rocket character, created by the 3d team.
Tools like Nuke from the foundry help a lot in compositing: https://www.foundry.com/products/nuke/features
There's a subset of VFX called compositing where people assemble the final scene that can be made up of thousands of layers. They get the background plate from the camera, smoke and fire sims, characters, as well as tons of other passes, mattes, etc. so that they can make small adjustments to parts of the scene quickly. A surprisingly common part of the job is to destroy perfectly rendered assets. Motion blur, other blurs, grain, color adjustments, etc. all have to be applied to each of these layers so that they blend together seamlessly. For most films, they use an app called Nuke for this.
> Because of the speed of the IMAX film in the cameras, each film cartridge will provide only 5 to 7 minutes of footage.

What a pain in the ass it must be, no wonder so few films are entirely shot in IMAX.
You'll be happy to know that they just released a new Blu-ray set that includes the infamous "Ulysses" cut of the film which adds another 40 minutes to the run-time.
I think there was a limited DVD edition with this cut of the film released a while back but this is the first time it has been released in high definition.
Amazon link here!
There's an older book that I think is called "on location, on Martha's Vineyard - the making of Jaws" that is a great read about the original, semi cursed production of this movie on the island before it was a big tourist destination. Lemme see if I can find it...
Yep. Found it...on Amazon but only from third party sellers.

I don't know much introductory stuff, but Eisenman's book on 19th Century Art covers all the major players of that era, and there are a bunch of great essays that are good introductions to the post-impressionists in the final quarter of the book. might be good to see if a library has this book (or something similar)
Yeah, I have only ever heard about the mirror rig in writing or spoken about, but I have never actually seen a photo of it. I have a copy of The Art of Star Wars and Industrial Light and Magic: The Art of Special Effects, but I still can't find photos!
I know it's available on disc 2 of The four disc final cut dvd.
