I feel like we're all (OP excluded) are entirely missing the point. The reason why amnesia and humanity are staples in the PMD series is because the player character is YOU. The backside of the box art for Blue and Red Rescue Team (the TRUE originals, not Explorers of T/D/S) specifically state this in large font:

"Introducing the newest Pokémon, YOU!"

I mean, sure, having a sort of spin-off of PMD where the protagonist is not you would be fine ("Quagsire Mystery Dungeon Hmmmm?") might be interesting, but the core of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is and has always been this.

If you're wanting to emulate PMD2 on the big screen, I don't think an emulator on the Wii is the way to go. You'd have a lot more luck with an Android device running DraStic or a PC running DeSmuME.

Keep in mind I've had it for almost 9 years.

I think he likely got really busy after the recognition he got for his work on Mystery Dungeon. When that sort of thing happens, it's very easy for your online footprint to disappear.

That said, he has been doing an alphabet soup of music since 2009 for various games, including Smash Bros 4.

You actually reminded me that I wanted to arrange this piece, so I did. It started out as correcting some mistakes in rhythm and a few pitches in your arrangement, but then I got carried away and added a piano part. But holy crap, the rhythm in that was really hard to figure out!

Here's my arrangement. And here's some audio to help figure it out. It says Violin, but it's definitely playable on the Viola. I just decided to write it in treble since it never gets on the C string.

On a less sappy note, I did have to unsticky the rescue thread, but that absolutely does not mean that's not the place to put rescues anymore. I love how quickly everyone that has requested is being rescued, so let's keep it up! The link will always be in the sidebar, but if we don't have much important to say, we'll sticky it again.

I don't trust 4Share, it sounds shady. My only real other alternative is Google Drive, but they like to remove this sort of file.

I'll consider rehosting if this fails for other people. But otherwise, I'd prefer others rehosted these .zip files.

Edit: Apparently this is also due to Mega's method of downloading. Use a 64-bit version of your web browser, or get more RAM for your computer. If you don't have at least 1GB spare, don't download the MP3 version, and you'll want at least 2.5GB RAM spare for the FLAC version. I recommend downloading the .bcstm version. It's the smallest, easiest to download, and is the best version to play.

A plugin for most popular media players is not hard to obtain to play .bcstm and other related formats.

I think that's what's going on. Most of these open-source non-linear video-editing suites are developed primarily on Linux, and then ported to Windows as an afterthought. The amount of testing and validation that they get there is not going to be nearly as much as on Linux.

I don't suppose I could convince you to try Ubuntu? ^_^

There are probably good open-source (or, at worse, "freemium") video editors out there that are targeted natively to Windows, but I'm not familiar with that space. I'd be surprised if all the available options turned out to be as bad, however... it's not like video editing is so complicated that only commercial software can do it right.

Thanks for looking up! It's indeed about PS4 version and not Switch. There's a vendor on Amazon US that has the imported version and it does says that's compatible with english via software download on the replies to that specific question, but in Amazon JP and Nin-Nin-Game only states japanese as language, when the Switch version states both japanese and english. So I'm still not sure and apparently no one imported the PS4 version, everybody's playing on Switch haha.

As for the trailer, it was interesting. I wonder how [Darkrai](/spoiler) will play into the story and if they will carry any specific role from Explorers. Really the big mystery is if this is an alternate universe from that game or if it's set in a different time.

Now that I've actually delved into the existential issues of a PMD hero myself I gotta say that I really appreciate your own take on the PMD hero's journey that much more, for much the same reason that I really enjoy the webcomic Anamnesis. Check that out if you haven't already. While I do think my own take is a bit heavy handed and exposition dumpy (one of the pitfalls of setting a one-shot in the post-game I'm sure, but that took all of my motivation as it was lol), your glowing endorsement is no less a pleasant surprise!

I use a plugin for Chrome (that can apparently work for Firefox and Opera too) called Magic Actions for YouTube. It allows you to click a button for looping as well as other tweaks to the website like a night mode and making the video load at specific resolutions by default.
