There are two versions, one without Amazon extra goodies (the one that I bought) and the other with Amazon Japan stuff included (keychain and desktop wallpaper). The one I have is sold out but the extra goodies is still up.
Shipping was super fast. Ordered on October 3, game came out October 4 in Japan, and got it October 5 from Japan. YMMV.
For the game itself, it does launch and play in english. Icon on switch shows Mega Man 11 and did not require me to change anything since my switch is set for English.
Definitely an amazing package compared to what we had for NA. Also worth noting there was a Complete Edition only for Japan Capcom online shop. But those were sold out long ago.

I cancelled my pre-order on Amazon and reported the article to Amazon as the cover of the game doesn't mention anything.
I encourage everyone reading this to do the same to increase chances that Amazon will take action.
Go to the Young Blood Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition on Amazom desktop site.
Click the blue link at the bottom right corner of the product description "Report incorrect product information"
Select "Images" then either "Doesn't match product" or "Is not clear"
In the text box explain with your own words that the image of the cover doesn't indicate that the game comes as a download code and not a cartridge as is always expected with a physical release. You can also explain that this is confusing / misleading / deceitful and share (briefly) your displeasure.
Keep it simple and polite. Stick to the facts. Remember it's not Amazon's fault if AAA publishers are deciding to pull a bait on switch on their customers.
Feel free to quote / repost this receipe for all other games that try to get away with doing that. We have to start pushing back as customers if we don't want the entire industry to follow through with this worrisome trend of selling empty boxes with download codes as "physical" release.

Every so often when I wonder whether or not they’re getting better. I go to check online reviews and usually find stuff like this. Seems like they’re not about to change for the better. Honestly, I think their time in the sun has long since been over. It’s pretty clear they don’t care about the quality of their products, and it’s crystal clear that they don’t care about their customers. It’s really upsetting since I would love to own some of the games they produce, but a) don’t wanna spend an arm and a leg and b) don’t wanna wait a year for it to get to me.

Okay...so first thing's first, you need to learn to format your posts to make them readable. That list you've got up there, drop the "●" character, and add two spaces after each item, then put the next one on a new line. If you really want to get fancy, put them in a proper list or a table. Reddit has a link right below where you type that says "formatting help"; click on it.
The second thing is that I don't believe any of the games you've listed have US pre-orders listed anywhere that I've seen. If you find one, post it up as its own post with the game name and vendor in the title.
Lastly, I'm not sure Shovel Knight will get a physical release. According to Yacht Club on this page, it shows that they have no current plans for it to be released that way.

Beautiful! I love my Switch Lite. I imagine that most collectors here have both the standard console and the Lite. I would highly recommend getting a glass screen protector and this flip cover by Nintendo. It's unobtrusive, thin & light, and protective. It's also very attractive!

Ebay seems to be the most reliable way, there are a few copies on Amazon from 3rd party sellers for ~$100. The english version was released in singapore so you could try checking retailer sites from there but I couldn't find it anywhere on playasia

This version is the Day One Edition and comes with an art book. It let me ship to the US, even though the listing said it would not. There is also a Collector's Edition with a Switch case. My understanding is that there will not be a physical release in North America.

I had ordered a copy when it initially went up (the PS4 being first) on Nov 1st before being taken down and brought up again. My order links to the same product page. They did unusually change the product image to reflect what looks like a standard edition case, but I’m confident it’s the limited edition.

These only hold 16 game cards, but if you can live with that I can say after buying a few that they are very good. The soft foam doesn't scratch/stress the cards at all (my top priority) but holds them in place very well. I also like that I can see the whole game card without some part of the case covering it up.

Yes, but what I'm saying is the game itself is the same. If there was a DLC for example, the DLC will be compatible. You should be able to claim gold points too if it was still valid (not sure when the 1 year expiry ends).

What makes this worse is the fact you got duplicates of a game that’s essentially worthless. Why buy/trade for a Limited Run Copy of Jedi Knight Outcast and/or Academy when you could just easily get this. (This is coming from a person who bought the dual pack and Republic Commando on PS4 from Limited Run)
Um these two were picked up by my wife at a Michaels Crafts. That said, the one I got for the Dragon Quest VI promo there was just ordered off Amazon and works fine. It's the same measurements as the Metroid Dread IIRC (12 x 18?).
I have the Skull and Co you mentioned, it's perfect. They have bundles that come with a carry case as well. I like that you can swap the grip profiles till you find the right fit for your hands.
I have Sennheiser headphones, something similar to this, and after setting them up once, they pair every time I turn them on, no issues. You can spend thousands on quality headphones, but Sennheiser has very affordable budget offerings with decent quality sound.

Further question now on my mind as long as I'm usually in the acceptable ranges of 15-28C and below 60% humidity (varying suggestions but that seems around the ranges), can my cartridges can be stored in a softshell case like this? There seems to be less info on this from my brief look into it, or the same principles apply.

As fsr as spin-offs go, I'm kinda interested in Rocket Slime, but its super expensive. On the other hand that new Dragon Quest Treasures game that's just been announced looks like it might be good too.
It's getting a standard retail physical in North America afaik. It's also getting a European retail release, though the box art has the USK logo on it (which I know some people hate).
Ooblets also appears to be getting a European retail release.
This game is releasing September 29th, 2022 by Aquire Games in Japan at retail.
English localization is due sometime in Q1 2023.
The one that 8Bitdo makes is on sale today. It has two joy sticks as well, but the d-pad, buttons ,and controller shape are like the SNES controller.

My Switch game cases are displayed on a bookshelf unit, which at this point almost completely fills the 9 cubbies there. I'm on my fourth Unikeep case now, and they do a great job of making my collection accessible to play without disturbing the displayed collection.

Another game I found on sale is the Treasures of Aegean CE which is on sale for $35. Technically not a prime day sale, but it's $5 cheaper than the standard edition right now. Been waiting for a sale so I finally bought it today.

Well, you could try and order it from Amazon Japan. I don’t know if they can actually get copies, but it has a 1-2 mo th availability there (of course they may not get any and just cancel). Might be worth a shot.
Though it looks like the price has jumped back up to $70ish. Best to just keep an eye on it as the price has been fluctuating and it's likely to drop back down.
Here’s what I use. It works wonderfully and fits over 500 games. The only issue is that it’s a hair over 6ft unfortunately. 63.75in high. Not sure if you have any wiggle room there.

I considered one if these. In Canada they cost closer to $50 at amazon. And from the reviews it sounded like it holds roughly 180 before the games expand beyond the capacity of the binder. I've spent roughly $15 CAD on this, it should hold 320 and it gives me an option of expanding by buying more sheets.
I read the reviews on these Unikeep and it seems the foam doesn't last very long before the games come loose. So you have to be careful when opening, or the games all pop out.

Only 48 slots total, but I prefer to see the full label. The elastic band cases can hold more, but cover all or too much of the labels.

Kirby always struck me as well animated, well programmed, and just an adorable marshmallow with arms and legs. Just look at all the transformations in Smash. So fun and well thought out. Kirby wrapping his mouth over a car or fridge is weird to me. I definitely will pick it up at a black friday sale lol.

Sorry, not OP but I own that case from that brand (well maybe a size smaller). Mine has 160 games atm and room for another 60 or so. Shows unavailable atm but search their store. Maybe they have other sizes.

Japanese collectors editions are doing it right. They are much less $$ with good stuff usually.
Take this Cotton Collectors Set - $35 more than the normal game and has an authentic Nendoroid figure with multiple exchangeable parts and background display, an amazing history of book and a soundtrack. Nendoroids alone are more than $35 bucks.
