As tamekitty mentions they're likely quite fine as the game has been selling gangbusters.
If you are genuinely interested in donating, though, they do have a way to do that set up on their website.
Shovel Knight is the main character of his game, which was made thanks to a very successful Kickstarter campaign. It's another retro-styled indie game, except Shovel Knight is actually really really good.
People are voting for him for Smash because he's a unique character who would fit in the game well and because his game was prominently featured on Nintendo consoles (it was only on Wii U, 3DS, and PC at launch, and the PS4 and Vita versions were announced much later). Realistically he has no chance, but better odds than Goku at least.
FYI: Starting in spring 2017, the base game will go up in price on all platforms and the expansions will be sold as separate games so people can pick and choose how they want to play the campaigns. Directly from the FAQ: http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/. I would recommend buying the game now (I own the physical PS4 version and the Steam version) as all upcoming updates will be given free to all current owners of the game. Along with Body Swap mode, Battle mode, and the Specter of Torment expansion, there is another expansion planned for later in 2017. Even if you pay $20-$30 for the PS4 version of the game, the value you're getting here is astounding and Yacht Club Games should be commended for it.
PSA for anyone interested in Shovel Knight:
Starting tomorrow (March 2nd), the MSRP will increase to $24.99 and comes with the addition of the upcoming Specter of Torment and Treasure Trove DLC.
There's no deadline because there's no DLC! These campaigns are delivered as version updates to the game, so you don't have to download/claim/reserve anything from the eShop if you already own Shovel Knight on the system.
Hope that helps! For more, check out our FAQ here: http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/
The updates are free for people who own the game now. The complete package will be called "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove". After the cutoff date, you will be able to buy Treasure Trove for the higher price, or buy the three individual games separately (Shovel Knight, Plague of Shadows and Specter of Torment). Specter of Torment will be $9.99. The other individual prices haven't been announced but I'm guessing they will be $9.99 as well, and they can go on sale from there.
The Yacht Club Games Shovel Knight, Plague of Shadows, and Specter of Torment Press Kits all have .zip files with official artwork, sprites, and logos if you scroll to the bottom of each page. Just download the files and extract with 7Zip or what have you.
Yacht Club said that you're not going to get Shovel Knight on Switch for free if you already own it on some other platform (source), so I don't think that will carry over.
Best option: go to the YCG page for Shovel Knight. The bottom option is a button to make a donation (they made it for people who want to help or want to show appreciation for all the free DLC we get). Make any value of donation and you get a sweet download - a folder titled THANKYOU full of avatars and wallpapers. There's 16 official wallpapers included (I just counted now).
Here is a link to the game's homepage. Shovel Knight is a pixellated adventure sidescroller that was Kickstarted a year or a year and a half ago that was basically a tribute to old, 80's adventure games like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Metroid, and Castlevania
It's super fun and I highly suggest playing it if you're into those kinds of games!
Only the ones on the official YCG site, because nobody can open the source files. They require some extremely obscure program as well as the correct version of it.

Scroll down to Sprites.
> it's probably battle mode.
I think they're simply referring to the card battle mode from King of Cards
From last year's press release:
>Had your fill of glamorous adventure? Unwind and sharpen your strategic mind by competing in card battles with future subjects from across the land.
http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-king-of-cards-press-kit/
Yes, there is a real multiplayer battle mode in the works (the stretch goal was achieved way back during the Kickstarter) but, so far, nothing indicates that it will come with King of Cards, which is the next thing Shovel Knight related that is coming out. I don't think they would start teasing future content when they can't even confirm a release date for KoC...
Treasure Trove includes all the existing expansions. Apparently there is another expansion coming in 2018 called King of Cards(scroll down to the includes section). that will be freely available if you own Treasure Trove as well.
Okay...so first thing's first, you need to learn to format your posts to make them readable. That list you've got up there, drop the "●" character, and add two spaces after each item, then put the next one on a new line. If you really want to get fancy, put them in a proper list or a table. Reddit has a link right below where you type that says "formatting help"; click on it.
The second thing is that I don't believe any of the games you've listed have US pre-orders listed anywhere that I've seen. If you find one, post it up as its own post with the game name and vendor in the title.
Lastly, I'm not sure Shovel Knight will get a physical release. According to Yacht Club on this page, it shows that they have no current plans for it to be released that way.
They are but now you can buy the DLC campaings as separate (for a lower price) rather than the full game again.
You can read their FAQ over here. http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/
So... first of all, you can't "suggest" anyone anything :D You can pitch them. There are some great links here already. I wrote this one a few weeks ago:
The most important thing though is personalization. Make sure that the list you have consists of journalists talking about games similar to yours.
Also, don't bother with standard press releases - nobody reads it, especially coming from a small indie developer. Focus on your pitch, make sure your assets are great and if possible let them play your game (STEAM, Vertical Slice etc.)
Having a good landing page helps a lot. Some good examples:
I'd add Shovel Knight to the list too: http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight/
Edit: And if you want to really dig deep into pitching in general, I suggest you start googling for start-up pitches and advice. They already know what works and what doesn't.
Shovel knight's great, they even brought out the free storyline dlc very recently. This is easily one of the top games on Xbox one. And even more dlc coming, I think... may have to look it up :p
Edit: Looked it up, still more stuff coming http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-press-kit/ (Scroll down to "Coming soon" tonnes more stuff to come).
You might enjoy Ducktales Remastered, an HD remake of the NES Ducktales.
On the other hand, if you liked NES Ducktales, you will definitely enjoy Shovel Knight, since it seems to have stolen the pogo jump straight from DuckTales.
If you have not played Shovel Knight yet or at least listened to the soundtrack, buy it here and download the soundtrack (for free) here. Both are well worth your time.
When making a decision you'll want to check and see what the devs are bringing to each platform. They stated that they wanted to make each version unique and to play upon the strengths of the system.
Personally, I think the streetpass feature for the 3DS is pretty cool, not to mention the 3D itself.
You can check out the differences here: http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-press-kit/
Go buy ShovelKnight on Steam. It's a fresh game from a very successful Kickstarter and it's awesome! The later levels get pretty difficult. Someone said it best when they said it's like a bastard child of Dark Souls and Megaman.
Oh is it the physical copy? If you update the game it should have them all. The physical copy came out before the expansions but it's a free update. http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/
This was in the Q&A
>That’s why with Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove you’ll have access to all available campaigns right from the start.
http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/ for any questions regarding tresure trove and here is the info about spector of torment http://yachtclubgames.com/2017/03/specter-of-torment-switch-launch/
"If I own Shovel Knight on another platform, can I get the game on a new platform like the Nintendo Switch for free?" "No, but that’s part of the reason we’re making these changes! Hopefully, it’ll be easier to jump in on a new campaign on any system of your choosing." if you have questions about things with the campaign go to http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight-treasure-trove-qa/
Here's the presskit for my game (Sapphire Yours). It's not episodic and doesn't have a storyline, but I've done a bit of research on how to do one (based on presskits from good games), so it might worth a look.
I really liked Shovel knight's presskit, you might want to check that out too.
I know what you mean. They set up a PayPal donation link because they got so many fan requests for one after Plague of Shadows was released. Just threw them $5 as a thank you. Here's the link if people wanna do the same (just scroll down a bit):

I believe one of the only sprite rips that exists so far is one that is actually from Yacht Club Games' site. Funny too, considering someone else also showed me it.
Honestly though, if you are looking or specific poses on characters, like me, you probably won't find them too well with this alone, and you might have to resort to zooming in super close on your own Shovel Knight game (Steam version) to try to get close.

Features to be released as free updates thanks to Kickstarter:
Battle mode featuring the Order of No Quarter
Challenge Mode
Gender Swap Mode
Three Playable Boss Campaigns: King Knight, Plague Knight, and Specter Knight

I don't believe a price has been announced yet, though the pre-order price for the PC version is $15.00 (http://yachtclubgames.com/shovel-knight/). I suspect the Nintendo eShop price will be somewhere between $14.99 - $19.99.
