For me it’s not about the wig but the wig cap! I use those stretchy fish net wig caps to get it out my way and then twist and pin it up on top of my head. But this specific wig is this one !! I’ve noticed that “Fashion” wigs are almost always better quality than ones marketed towards cosplayers
Wow sorry to hear this! It looks like you caught someone who's grabbing quite a few posts from /r/cosplay as I see other women from the subreddit there. That's alarming. They're also not giving proper credit. So I think their blog clearly violates Tumblr's Community Guidelines and suggest reporting their actual tumblr account. Make sure to read over the guidelines so you know how to discuss with Tumblr, then use their contact link in the "You can report violations of these guidelines to us directly" line.
It's a risk we take when we post anywhere, but we can be a vigilant community and report accounts like this who attempt to profit from, abuse, and misrepresent cosplayers photos. Thanks for sharing and good luck. Keep us posted.
Well Shit. Til https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/Ashley_(name).html
Yeah doesn't change that fact that many names just change through generations. Take Caitlyn, Caitlinn, Kaytlyn, Kaitlyn, Caytlynn, Kaytlin, Kaitlynn.
You get the idea. It's a name through the years that changed multiple times. Is there a proper spelling and a wrong spelling? No. There's preferences based in culture and tradition. This is why you were probably downvoted. It sounds like you were insulting the name Ashley, which is a perfectly fine gender neutral name.
You are thinking of Anna Moleva.
>“We were so amazed by her dedication and her resemblance to Elizabeth that we decided to ask her if she’d like to be involved in helping bring Elizabeth to life in our box, our key art and our upcoming television ad,” Levine wrote. “Today we are very pleased and delighted to announce that Anna is the official face of Elizabeth!” In addition to appearing in promotional art and advertisements, Moleva will also make “special appearances at select events.”
I'm not. 500px is a photography website. I post all my photos there. So they sell my photos so what. I have that set on auto even my street photography and landscape photos.
I post on 500px because I do not want my photos taken like they do all the time on http://imgur.com/ and https://www.flickr.com/
And some how I'm a jerk because I also give all cosplayers equal rights to use the photos for themselves.
No problem. The reason why I give cosplayers equal rights if because I know it cost money to make cosplay outfits and traveling to conventions is not cheap. So I give equal rights back to the cosplayers.
That photo I posted was not my photo I just used it as a example. Here is my photography.

Before you paint it, you need to reinforce it with a liquid car body repair resin designed for bonding fiberglass. It's a liquid that comes with a catalyst to harden it, and it can be brushed on. It turns red when mixed, and clear when it dries.
You need to use this on the helmet to make it harder before moving onto other steps. You can reinforce the helmet and shape it more with bondo later, if necessary, but the fiberglass resin is a must.
You can usually find it in hardware stores. I found some for ~$15, and I made 6 Viking helmets with it, so you can use one of the smaller sizes.
This tutorial might help - it has a lot on bonding and reinforcing. The user has a few similar tutorials that help out, too. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-an-armour-mask/#step1
Hope this helps~!
From Adella, one of the cosplayers (on her FB):
Cloud lays Aeris to rest. This was probably one of the most moving scenes for a lot of gamers who grew up playing RPGs. With the announcement of the remake, I found new inspiration to not only replay Final Fantasy 7, but to rekindle my love of cosplaying as this character.

I suppose with a little jiggering you could make a mini HDMI to connect to your phone. You'll have to worry about power but if you're going to all this trouble it might work.
I edit one of you photos in Adobe Lightroom. You can download it click the three white circles "More Action" then you will see "Download / All Sizes". I will delete the photo from my account in two days.
T_T seriously?

Wow, you work well with foam. I am really wanting to do a star-lord mask but have never done foam stuff. PM me about commission work? There is a free file out there already to unfold it.

here is the rpf post with all the info.
Wow, thanks everyone! I really didn't expect so much positive feedback for my first costume. Yes, the mask/face makeup still needs work, so do the boots and a few other details. I have more pictures here https://tinyurl.com/gvoebhu if anyone wants to give me tips or feedback on how to improve, I could use the help :)
Here is a link to the game's homepage. Shovel Knight is a pixellated adventure sidescroller that was Kickstarted a year or a year and a half ago that was basically a tribute to old, 80's adventure games like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Metroid, and Castlevania
It's super fun and I highly suggest playing it if you're into those kinds of games!

if you don't mind shelling out a ton there's this
otherwise you can look into this to paint the lenses you'll need special paint from a craft store. Actually just go to a craft store like Micheal's or something and ask for paint that works on glass or plastic and someone should be able to help you.
Got them both from Amazon. The gloves come in multiple colors, including the yellow I used
Briefs I sifted through a bunch of different options. Warning these were a bit snug so either order slightly larger or wear a dancer's belt or something to...conceal certain parts. Took awhile to adjust down to less scandalous levels, lol. They're low rise, so you may need a belt to help give the appearance of normal cut briefs.
It's kinda hard to bleach a garment and re-dye it to an exact color swatch, particularly if you're going from a pattern to a solid. You'll have better luck starting with a light colored suit and going darker. I would see if there are any places near you that sell white coveralls for painters, or get some off Amazon prime (like this), and have at that with RIT/i-Poly.
For convenience here's another pic
The cage looks to be a very simple design and can easily be constructed using cardboard or EVA foam. My personal preference would be to use EVA foam.
Things you'd need:
EVA foam (you can order online or get from your local big name hardware store)
Blue-ish colored thin plastic for the covering (probably can get this at your local craft store or you can use something from an office supply store)
skull mask or something similar (from your local halloween or costume store) or Amazon
LEDs (to add the glowing effects)
Hey, looks like a really fun build. If you don't plan on really showing any cleavage and are going to have it covered the entire time, Amazon sells breast forms like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015YJ6BJU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They will help give you the shape and movement without costing a lot of money. Also you should probably check out the /r/crossplay subreddit, they have some really good advice over there too for this stuff.
Disclaimer: You will need to test to make sure that this suggestion, or any others do dissolve your plastic.
Try finding a test tube brush of the appropriate diameter to help you clean out the cylinders, they can be found on Amazon and other places. If time is an issue a baby nipple brush (for baby bottles) may work. I have had luck using goo gone to remove unwanted chemicals. I also use denatured alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) to clean it to make sure any oil is removed right before painting.
Assuming you used spray enamel... If paint is not sanding, then it has not cured. Paint may feel dry in a few hours but takes days to cure. Once cured it should sand to a powder and not immediately gum up sand paper.
if harbor freight sold spray paint, i'd never go to another store. /u/Renz2LK has covered the waterfront, but they also sell neodymium magnets & sandpaper at unbeatable prices. seriously, i picked up 20 neodymium magnets from them for $10 bucks. that same deal is $18 on amazon.
for what it's worth, i've bought a palm sander from them, and it's been working fine. even if it can be proved that their tools aren't The Best™, it's a lifesaver being able to buy something reasonably reliable at 7pm the night before a con.
BDF S05 Window Film Daytime Privacy One Way Mirror Silver 5 (36in X 12ft)
here’s one from amazon, is it available to you?
Thanks, yo! They're actually pleather costume boots that I bought on Ebay a long time ago for a different outfit.
Just did a quick search and found these, which are almost the same thing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Tall-Black-Pirate-Renaissance-Costume-Boots-/350515068686?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item905ca6933b
A lot of Cap cosplayers actually commission a metal shield to be made and paint it themselves, but a lot of people also buy this, trim the lip and paint it. The sled works really well as a cheaper alternative but having an actual replica of the shield made for yourself by a metal company will yield the highest grade results. A method I've wanted to see someone try is to make a card paper or cardboard shield using the template from this instructable and then cover it in resin, to make it hard, and add some fiberglass cloth to the back.
Princess Peach it took some photos of you. On my Flickr account right click on a photo to open up in a new tab. To the right you will see three circles "More Action" now you will see "Download / All Sizes"

TimeLordParty is right. But if I had to nail it with less words think of cosplayers as actors and you are the movie director.
My style for cosplay at cons is more simple I walk up to people and take portraits of people really fast and move onto the next person I find.
Here is some of my work.
Yes I'm also a photographer. If you want the PSD files to see how I edit these let me know I'll upload them for you.

I bought it on amazon from charmingcoco. Batman: Arkham City Cosplay Costume Harley Quinn Full Set (Female L) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3G2Q7S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_pRmuub0W8VV2Q But I had to have it altered because the pants were too baggy and the bra part that should sit lower was up to my collar bone.
Nicely done. Looks like you snagged a few that I was hoping to get. It also looks like we crossed paths quite a few times. Check it out to see what I mean: MPLS Comic Con 2014 on FlickR
I wish I could help you more. That's such an amazing idea.
This is a tutorial for how to make a muscle costume http://www.ehow.com/how_6080623_make-muscle-costume.html
I think you can also buy nude colored bodysuits from Amazon and while it won't be quite the same you could airbrush/paint so that it appeared to be muscle-y. Good luck!
I've made a warhammer from Eva foam. Used Eva floor mats from Costco. Super easy project. Took all of one day. Used a stair bannister for the handle.these are some from wal mart
Just some advice, you want it as light as possible. It's not fun to carry a huge weapon all day at a con if it weighs too much. I added a removable strap to mine so I could sling it over my back.
To get you started, I did a Mad Hatter cosplay last year and used this great flared top hat pattern to make my hat out of craft foam. After assembly I sanded, primed and painted it and it turned out nicely. Also really easy to put together.
Hi y'all! I am trying to put together a Link to the Past Link cosplay. Link in that game had pink hair (see https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-969771/links-hair-a-link-to-the-past ). I find wigs online for blonde Link but no pink ones. Can I dye a blonde wig pink? This is the wig I was thinking of getting. https://www.amazon.com/Xcoser-Handsome-Cosplay-Costume-Accessories/dp/B00V2RD00W
I appreciate any and all advice!
Make sure you pre-wash your fabrics, I dyed a poly body-suit once only to realize that it had some sort of post-processing chemical on it that resisted the dye and resulted in a tie-dye like pattern over the whole thing.
You could try something like this: foam wing tutorial http://elenaleetah.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-How-to-make-light-weight-wings-Kam... - http://pinterest.com/pin/310959549244520472/?s=3&m=messages (I know it's only for 1 wing, but I'm sure the principle could be applied for 2)?
Pinterest, therpf.com & instructables.com are full of tutorials for stuff. I'd recommend doing a quick search on each for "wings tutorial" & see if anything decent comes up. Good luck!
Hi! Funnily enough, I'm also in the middle of working on a Diana cosplay. I am making my armor out of craft foam and worbla. The worbla can get a bit expensive, but if you are smart about using it (position pattern pieces to take up the whole sheet, use the scraps, etc.), I think it's definitely doable with a budget like that (I like to think my budget is smaller than that, but I'm buying materials in bits and pieces when I get to them, so I don't actually know...). I'm using the methods described in this ebook here
It's been extremely helpful, and my armor is turning out great so far. This is only my second time attempting armor, so it's a pretty easy to use guide for beginners. Hope that helps, and I'd love to see yours when it's finished! :)
forewarning, if you're talking about wearing this to LA's anime expo, you're gonna be REALLLLLY hot wearing the chicken wire/foam that it would take to be the true to the game version. if that's not a problem I would look into some sort of acrylic/plastic cylinder, akin to this. (that's more for show, I don't know if that's a reliable seller or not :P)
anyway, after you buy something like that, you're gonna have to make clothes that fit around the cylinder, along with wearing some sort of shirt that gives off the impression of fetus-ness.
You'll also need to find a way to suspend it on your body, you might be able to do some sort of cable or strapping of some sort, it'd depend on your cylinder. You'd also probably need to drill holes at calf-height to encase the rest of your foot in foam to make it thick enough for his legs.
TL;DR: Consider doing the humanized version for temperature's sake, but if you wanna do the true to game version, it's possible
Hello. first of all Here you can find an official reference kit made by blizzard, click on reference kit on the right side then on bastion. that should help.
Since bastion does not have too many small or round pieces you can do most of the cosplay out of foam if you dont want to waste your foam, try to get the right shape by using cardboard boxes and copy it. the details can be added with worbla, paper mache and other techniques.
If you're wondering how to print out templates that you've made or found you can use PosteRazor which divides a picture into regular-sheets-of-paper sized pieces that you glue together to make the full size. So you don't need a giant custom printer. You'd have to figure out the measurements for scaling yourself though, so it might take some trials.
I don't know if there are any shortcut programs to scaling or breaking down pieces into a 2d printable templates, but good luck.
Awesome. There is this model I found on RPF for you. It resembles the movie version. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=148889&highlight=thor+armor you'll need to download the pepakura designer/viewer from this link to open it if you don't have it. http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/download/index.html It makes referencing a lot nicer. Good Luck!
Moldable Cosplay Foam Clay (Black) – High Density and Hiqh Quality for Intricate Designs | Air Dries to Perfection for Cutting with a Knife or Rotary Tool, Sanding or Shaping https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082NNL9RQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NSARGA49Q5NED3ZCWNTD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you have the form you want to mold your plastic to the shape of, you can probably get a decent result just by using gravity and a heat gun to soften and shape the plastic. Always make sure you have great ventilation anytime you heat any kind of plastic or foam (and wear a respirator if at all possible).
Vacuum forming probably gives better results, but you can probably get by with just some patience.
That said, I might even think about if there is some way to get the effect you want using something like this:
Upgraded Anti-Fog Plastic Full Face Covering- Transparent Face Guard with Anti-Slip Nose Pad Breathable Dust-Proof Nose Face Mouth Shield Protective for Unisex Adults Outdoor Activities https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YDF4B6H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PK16NVRA9MAK6ASKD6P8 And then building out the rest of the shape using EVA foam for the parts that would not be lighting up.
It's alright, I just can't help if i don't know what you want to make. Regarding keeping your glasses from slipping, there are many styles of soft silicone things you can slip on the back of your eyeglass ear pieces. If you must make something yourself, just know that not many soft things are sandable. Either you would need to do what I described earlier. Other options of buildable materials:
This is just a few. You should wear a respirator when sanding stuff to keep the dust out of your lungs.
There’s something I want to make for a cosplay that requires broken glass to form a piece of jewelry. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would be able to make this with glass safely, as I don’t have access to a tumbler. I was thinking that it might be better to try and make the pieces out of resin, but I haven’t had any luck seeing somebody else do so. I’m looking to make something like this, but instead of wire wrapping I want to thread the cord through holes in the pieces of glass like a pendant. The finished piece would sit around the waist. Does anybody have any advice?
Buy these:
You don't have to buy those exact ones, but buy the same kind of thing. These are called wig clips. They are meant for sewing to the band inside of a wig and clip onto your hair underneath to keep wigs from falling off. Sew them to the hat to do the same thing.
Amazon! But the funniest thing is, he makes this crazy fucking noise when you push the button on him that sounds like rampant screeching. I had fun scaring people with it and letting others push the button! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHTHZ7D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7JGKHHVAQJYD9FTYC38E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
EZ. Turn that little knob on the right of the needle and loosen it until the broken piece comes out. You can get a new needle at Wal-Mart or here. You need a higher grade of needle for tougher fabrics like flannel. Most of the "default" needles are meant for cotton. (:
If you made that helmet, holy hell bravo, but for those of us less talented you can buy a replica of the one from Under the Red Hood on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WM0PXIK/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_K5bIvb9RQBCBW
Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SM5RVO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got it on sale for less than 9$ though, there are probably better options at full price. And it was a bit small for my large head, I had to pin it on top.
Most blue coveralls out there are either bright blue or navy, can't seem to find anything in between. These come in three shades of blue, and these are 100% cotton so they could dye down easily if you wanted to get a lighter blue and darken it. If you want more, search for "blue coveralls" on Amazon or eBay or your online shopping site of choice! :D
I buy it from Amazon from "We Sell Mats" because typically they're the cheapest - Amazon Smile Non-Ref Link
It's pretty firm, and pretty easy to combine multiple mats to make it thicker as needed. Holds shape pretty well too, and with some internal wiring, it can be perfect. You can even use the thicker eva foam mats as the base and use thumoplastic or craft foam on it to foam the details if you want to mix it up.
The mask I got off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ECHZTCK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I must confess the mask/helmet is a little uncomfortable after long periods of time. It has some weight (thick plastic) so it left a bruise on my upper nose from resting on my head for 4 hours at ComicCon.
If you want a modern uniform, any uniform supplier will carry the right kinds of clothes, I wouldn't worry about it being specifically Japanese. As long as you've got a navy or plaid skirt, navy blazer, white shirt, knee socks, tie, and penny loafers, you're set. The show I'm working on right now used a lot of stuff from Dennis for our Japanese uniforms, though they don't carry plaid skirts.
If you specifically want the seifuku (sailor-style) uniform, that would be a bit trickier. From my limited Googling just now, it looks like most Japanese uniform manufactures don't even ship outside Japan, and are also SUPER pricey. There's a TON of options for cosplay seifuku, but I can't vouch for quality. This one has decent reviews on Amazon, though it is polyester and the skirt is preeeettty short looking. Perhaps combine a cosplay top with a decent quality skirt? Or if you have sewing skills, adding the collar and cuffs to a white shirt probably wouldn't be too challenging, and might be better quality than cosplay knock-offs.
Hope this helps!
Sure, picked it up from Amazon here only complaint is they run a bit small (like two sizes) so consider the rest of the costume like the vest with its armor plates that add girth.
Hi- here's what I'm doing...
It's kinda late, but if you've got amazon prime you can get it done.
Body suit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TESRAXY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You paint that baby up with acrylics. This has the bonus of having a hood with a face opening so you don't need to wear a bald cap, AND you can pop your demogorgon mask onto your face.
And here's the hands I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VA1EZ4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The dementors! Worst part of prison.
Good luck- are you using that Ellimacs SFX tutorial as well? All ym supplies are arriving today and tomorrow so I've got a lot of work to do.
Wellllll.... They are actually snow boots. Found them on Amazon and I spray painted the middle red. Also the shin guards are just cheap soccer ones that I also spray painted. Link to the boots: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VTV2DXQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can strategically place them on the costume or you can be vulgar about it and place them in areas that would make people blush. But I've used the same fans they use in those inflatable costume sumo suits. I did a Baymax cosplay last year and had to use 2 to give me the right amount of inflation. With Baymax, I just had one in the chest and one in the lower half, by the left leg.
You can get them on Amazon Here
Amazon Prime beats most retail stores, even Walmart and Home Depot. You're looking for anti-fatigue mats for about $20-25.
Another option that could work is foam board. It's cheap and light, but I would caution that some paints can dissolve it. 4ftx8ft piece is about $10. I once had a 6' prop scythe that was foam board with paper mache reinforcement that I could swing pretty forcefully. Not quite the same but a PVC skeleton could work just as well.
You can get translucent glow paint on Amazon or most arts & crafts stores. They dry clear, but when a black light hits them they will achieve the look you're going for. Link to Glow Paint on Amazon
I have had good luck with acrylic globes like this one from Amazon. they come in different diameters, and take paint well.
Maybe it was just my experience, but I've ordered many different brands of EL wire on Amazon from different sellers. As much as they kind of work, they aren't that bright. For each separate color, you can get a separate controller box for them. The more EL wire you attach to one controller box, the dimmer the light will be.
Will the EL wire basically be wrapped around the hook or are you incorporating it into the shell of the hook itself? In other words, will it look like it's glowing from within or are you just making it look like a Christmas tree?
I've seen people construct the hook and add color changing LEDs inside then cover the entire hook with a clear worbla to hide the LEDs and wires. This gives it an inner glow effect. You could do this same method w/ the EL wire, but it may not be as bright.
There are some on amazon. I did a search for Sia wig and got results like this one. You may be able to frizz out the wig a little on some of them if needed.
This might be kind of ridiculous, but I searched "white old lady wig" on Amazon and found some likely candidates for super cheap, like this one. And since they're so cheap, you wouldn't feel bad if you had to cut, glue, or paint it to style it.
Search around for large plastic 'sphere' or 'globe'. Even acrylic sphere/globe. Some craft stores have them as well. There's this one on Amazon Not sure if a 14" sphere is what you're looking for, but it may work. For the bottom parts, use EVA foam and some tubing you can find from most major hardware stores. Please make sure you factor in some ventilation somewhere, you don't want to suffocate.
Did a lot of searching around for good Foakleys, not a lot with the orange lenses and even less with a similar enough frame. Ain't no way I was spending $200 for the actual model he wears (Oakley Whisker).
If you know anyone that wants to recreate it themselves, these are the ones I got
I got the shirt off of Amazon. I looked through dozens of listings online to find one that had the collar I was looking for, didn’t button all the way down, had the right material, had the right fit, etc.
Because it doesn’t stretch, and it doesn’t unbutton all the way down, it is actually a little difficult to get in and out of.
For the helmet, you can try flight helmet
For the rest, you can look up some stuff from Amazon easily to piece together this costume. A lot of military or airsoft based pieces.
I used a face shield replacement sheet. It's thin enough to cut with scissors and you can get it in clear or tinted. The one I got was tinted and used it for a Power Rangers helmet.
I believe it's the set from Amazon (I bought the same one!) I was pleasantly surprised at it's quality, aside from the boot covers.
You make a great Panther OP!
Tucking is usually effective enough that even in a zentai suit you can probably pass just fine. There’s underwear specifically designed to help with this sort of thing, and you can also look into shapewear to help. You could also get the suit and just wear jeans over it if you don’t like the look.
Otherwise, honestly Amazon is plenty high quality in most situations. This would probably work fine.
Here's a similar jacket on Amazon
I'm sure with some dirtying and maybe some modifications it could look pretty good.
And here's a similar scarf on Amazon as well
Good luck with the rest!
I'm pretty sure I paid closer to $40. (+shipping) Look around. Maybe it wasn't amazon?? I don't remember
I don't know if these will be high waisted enough, they're a bit shorter than your link, but what about dance bottoms? Here's a pair of short shorts, but you can find briefs too! GL!
Dunno if this is something you'd dig, but for my Batman boots I just got these two. Looks pretty solid , but its definitely "tactical hero" looking:
Water shoes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082FD6JNT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Shin guards: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056D2BN0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thank you so much! I usually use it as a beach/bikini coverup but wanted to utilize it differently and here we are ^ _ ^
I believe I originally bought it on Groupon but found it pretty quickly here on Amazon
If you want to use an Android phone as a voice changer mic (connecting aux cable from it to your other equipment or external speaker), you can use our apps.
Plug in the aux cable, and then press the Record button - you will get real-time output (the 12-voices usable for Darth/Kylo/Bane/Stormtrooper/C3PO etc.) - each of the voices are individually customizable in real-time.
There is a small latency on android - and that can trip up some cosplay - so maybe keep the phrases short (so your own voice on external speaker doesn't trip you up).

Fast and sloppy drawing of what I was meaning. Red indicates ribs to help prevent deformation of material stretched across it. But yea I believe theirs is because it's snuggly against your eye sockets pretty much. But I think if you stretch it tight enough it would allow visibility. Since it would pull the material apart a bit. Or you can do what mascot costumes use. They are a mesh sort of material. Just get it whatever color you want it then figure a way to blend it into the other material so it matches or is at least not blatantly noticeable.
I'm want to cosplay Jotaro from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, specifically his outfit from the end of Part 4. I have a plan for most of the outfit already, but I can't figure out the coat. I can't find a white trench coat with the right collar or the right cuffs. I know there are costumes on Amazon and such, but I feel like I could make something more to my liking if I found the right coat. This is the closest one I've found so far, but it is patterned and has buttons, which Jotaro's coat does not. I would also like it to be a little more white rather than beige. If anyone reading this has done a Part 4 Jotaro cosplay before, I would certainly appreciate some help.
thank you!!! these are the pants i used
Utyful Women's High Waisted... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08J47TVMY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
i also got some darker similar sized jeans from a thrift store. then, i cut them and glued them onto the lighter jeans to make the dark patches on the pants! hopefully that works for you :-)
this is what i do when i make armors i make or down load a pepakura and fiberglass it. heres some tips and a tutorial on how to fiber glass a pepakura. also there are tons of cosplay tips and tutorials on this site, i recommend it to a lot of cos players http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-your-own-Fallout-3-helmet-prop/step6/Fiberglassing/
The Umbrella tip is actually pretty cool as a con-tip. Most couldn't tell unless you draw it, it's con-safe, and nice and light.
Another option would be to use a foam master sword, they're like $20 on amazon:https://www.amazon.com/Legend-Replica-Collection-Collection-Cosplay/dp/B07YVGHP62/
I bought it off Amazon. I believe this is the one
Looks like a gold vinyl to me. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Upholstery-Leather-Vinyl-Fabric-Metallic/dp/B0713RX934/ref=sr\_1\_12?crid=3DYOUVPE8V43G&keywords=Gold+leather&qid=1658586526&sprefix=gold+leather%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-12
I'm making horse hooves using heels, but I'm struggling to get the actual heels off. I got these shoes (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1ZD7GL2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) but because the heel is so chonky, I can't cut it off like I thought I could with my craft cutter. How can I remove the heel without hurting myself?
Have you tried a zipper pull?
I got it from:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09YNCXF83/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Incase your thinking of buying it, the outfit that arrived, the green is much lighter than the photo on amazon and the orb on the pin looking thing is smaller than in the photo on amazon.
Touch of Nature 11007 Adult Angel Wing, 20 by 16-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007UZ89V0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FBQ8DHZ7Y9XT3DAXXBM8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
they’re smaller but i wanted smaller ones
Either color would work fine for the coat, it's a strange color in the show, but I don't think you'll get the right color dying grey fabric purple. I would recommend getting purple fabric or felt (probably felt) for the Abomination goo on his clothing. These goggles are more expensive, but are already the right colors so you don't have to modify the other goggles. I would also recommend against using construction paper, here are some cheap gold buttons from amazon.
I think I understand? Would you be able to modify your typical parka like this one to create that effect?
virblatt - Poncho Men | 100% Cotton | Mexican Poncho Baja Hoodie Men | Reversible | Pancho Mexican Hooded Aztec Cape https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08513JWW3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4XKK6N6BQRH35VGCY2CQ?psc=1
There's a lot of ways you do this depending on your level of experience and how much you are willing to spend.
You can go the screen route with a or two small tablet(s) like an Amazon fire (I just saw a 7 inch for $35)
If you are interested in coding you can look into neopixels or other individually addressable LEDs. Something like these (I'm not saying this specific product/seller is good, but more just giving you an idea.)
I managed to get a pretty good wig for, believe it or not, $20 on Amazon. It has even been mistaken for real hair.
Awesome!
Hey you should get some Tabi's and it would be perfect!
As a fun gag, next time you're headed to event with folks who know your style, put a Tyvek 'bunny suit' on over your garb...
