To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to enjoy Kristaps Porzingis. The athleticism is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of Latvian history, most of his skill will go over a typical fan's head. There's also Janis's cynical outlook, which is deftly woven into his agentspeak with Kristaps - his personal philosophy draws heavily from maximalist literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of his skill, to realise that it's not just dunking, it's saying something deep about BASKETBALL. As a consequence people who dislike Porzingis truly ARE bandwagoners - of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the wisdom in Janis's existential catchphrase "The most important question here is this: What do you really want to achieve in your career?", which itself is a cryptic reference to Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kristaps's expert basketball skill unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a unicorn tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only - and even then they have to demonstrate that they own at least 5 Porzingis jerseys (preferably more) beforehand.
At least we'll have a system in place. Too bad his playbook is available online:
Its from Mitchell & Ness, you can find it on Amazon from $119+
Highly recommended: interview with Michael Doret, the guy who designed the Knicks logo. It has a bunch of other designs he presented as well:

>"It's hard for me a little bit. I have a lot of respect for the kids who are out here fighting. But it's hard for me to understand why we have to go to war, why kids have to kill kids around the world," Noah said after Friday's practice. "So I have mixed feelings about being here. I'm very proud of this country. I love America but I just don't understand kids killing kids around the world." Noah added: "At the end of the day, I'm not anti-troops. It's just not comfortable for me to see kids going out to war and coming back having seen what they've seen, having done what they've done. It's sad for me. It's sad for me because they're just sent out for things that I don't really want to get into it to be honest with you. It's hard for me."
This took me waaay too long to get.
They will be fine... There were plenty of open looks that didn't get knocked down and between Jefferies and Novak, the hands just aren't good.
Source: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_plus-minus_mean_in_basketball_box_score
The +/- stat is tied to team performance during the time that that particular player is on the court. The games official scorer records the differential in terms of gain (plus) or loss (minus).
By way of example, if David Lee enters the game with the score tied at 80 to 80, and leaves with his team ahead by 3, he gets a plus 3. Conversely, if he enters with his team ahead by 13, and leaves with a 3 point lead, he gets a minus-10.
These numbers are added up throughout the game until at the end you have your final +/- for each player that you see in the box score.
More to the point, as the NBA explains: The AutoTrader.com +/- stat shows the power of teamwork. It's a way of showing the best-engineered/best combination of players on the court. The +/- stat is a statistic that looks at the point differential when players are both in and out of the game, to see how the team performs with various combinations. The +/- stat can look at a variety of combinations including the best two player, three player and even five player combinations for each game.
For example, through their exit in the 2011 conference semifinals, the Boston Celtics has the best cumulative 9-game composite +/- of +64 (9 games) with the combination of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Jermaine O'Neal, Paul Pierce and Rajan Rondo, ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies (prior to the game of 13 May 2011), who have a cumulative +/- of +48 with the combination of Shane Battier, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and OJ Mayo.
The NBA maintains an explanation of the statistic as well as sortable historical indices beginning with the 2005-2006 season on their site at http://www.nba.com/statistics/plusminus/plusminus.jsp
Pleaseeee tell me this is sarcasm 🤦🏿♂️
How you know about my podcast, Showing Love, (new episodes coming eventually) but not see my pinned posted about me losing a bet? 😂
Bruh, I can't wait to change my flair and pfp again 😑
Last year I was able to watch the Knick games on MSG while I was on a cruise to the Caribbean. I used the DirecTV Stream app. In my profile it still had my home zip code when I signed on the app via ship wifi, surprisingly nothing changed. The only other suggestion I have is get a VPN like NordVPN and choose an IP around NY. I tested it on apps like Netflix and was able to see the difference in content outside the US.
First, if you haven't already, you should check this book out, featuring writing from some now-prominent Knicks fans: https://www.amazon.com/Well-Always-Have-Linsanity-Strangest/dp/0988266202/ref=sr_1_1?crid=L73XLQJI3S4G&keywords=we%27ll+always+have+linsanity&qid=1648431378&sprefix=we%27ll+always+have+linsanity%2Caps%2C67&sr=8-1
I was a sophomore in college in New York when Linsanity happened. Although the 2012-'13 season was the most fun I ever had watching Knicks basketball, Linsanity was such an incredible and unparalleled rush. Everything felt possible with this previously unknown guy who'd been living on his brother's couch around that time. The "Knicks basketball is back" thing that the Stoudemire signing was supposed to start hadn't really panned out over the first two seasons, and even after Melo arrived it still felt a little stagnant. The two weeks of Linsanity consisted of a ton of excited confusion, just a lot of "Did you see what he did last night? Where did this guy come from?"-type conversation in cafeteria halls and the like. I know there had been rumors about other players being jealous of Lin, but I didn't personally put too much stock into that (at the time, anyway). When the Knicks didn't re-sign Lin, I wasn't devastated given the poison pill-nature of the Rockets' offer sheet, but it definitely felt like we were going to be missing something special going forward, even after the meniscus injury.
One thing I can't personally speak to was the idea of his Asian heritage being that big of a deal outside of its inherent novelty (I'm white, and most of the people who went to my college and lived on-campus were white, so the run manifesting itself in a racial context wasn't necessarily apparent).
Knicks Fan TV has been doing big things. That Tee Shirt is for sale: https://teespring.com/mitch-please-premium-t-shirt?tsmac=store&tsmic=knicksfantv&pid=211&cid=5288
You're probably done looking for podcasts, but are you looking amateur podcasts as well?
I gotta Knicks focused podcast called Showing Love that's a quick listen and pretty good.

Are you looking amateur podcasts as well? I gotta Knicks focused podcast called Showing Love that's a quick listen and pretty good.
That's a solid idea! That format definitely allows for quick, punchy content. But you will be relying on your takes to be the star of the show.
Either way, the internet is vast and you'd be surprised by who is willing give your content a listen. You just gotta promote as much as possible and find where your audience is.
My podcast is called Showing Love, A Knicks Podcast and Personal Audio Diary. The full episode list is here.
Welcome to Episode 2 of Showing Love, a NY Knicks Podcast and Audio Diary! This will be a short listen today because I can only say so much about the Rose trade. Hey y'all; sincerely hope everyone is doing well. Wanted to post our book trailer here for Blood in the Garden, an upcoming book on the 90s Knicks, here in case some folks are less active on Twitter, and more active on Reddit.
Will be on shelves Jan. 18th, but I promise it's worth the Black Friday order if you're curious what to get the Knicks fan in your life. Sending y'all love and blessings this holiday season.

"because mathematically, it makes sense" it only makes sense because the rules incentivize such play. If we have proof that 3s aren't all that hard to take, especially at the pro level, then they shouldn't be worth more than 50%.
" it's like you are complaining for the sake of complaining. it's like the old heads who played basketball in the 80s complaining about how the game is soft now. is it less physical than it was in the 80s?" If you can't engage in a debate without resorting to lazy insults then that's just telling on yourself.
I'm supposed to have ironclad solutions? I'm just some internet chump. Kirk Goldsberry wrote an entire book about exploring the downside of a 3-dominated game in depth and didn't offer clear solutions. He's far more of an NBA expert than any of us and one of his solutions was to allow goaltending on 3-attempts!
I never said it was 1:1 that the rise in the flop charge is responsible for the dominance of the 3-pointer but it's certainly a factor. You keep raising the mathematics, but it's about the rules and what they incentivize. If the rules said the 3-point line would now be the 4-point line then the mathematics would say shoot from there all the time but we'd also see that it's really the rule and not the math.
If the same contact as down low were allowed on the perimeter then we'd see far fewer threes. If you brush a shooter's hand after the shot then that's usually a foul. Whereas all kinds of contact is allowed on drives and in the post. I understand why fouls were historically called differently down low and outside. But now that the game is so skewed - with nearly 50% of all field goal attempts coming from 3 - it's time to examine all the rules that incentivize threes.
Can you not indent your paragraphs with 4 spaces? Reddit's markdown language formats your text into an unreadable format here when you do that. Just start your paragraphs without the indentation and separate them with an extra blank line.
man has anyone gotten refunds from any ticket websites?
Gametime are being cunts and are only responding with automated messages. It's a shame.

Hotels.com is ghosting me too for a refund.
Lmaoooo I know bro but after watching a couple tournaments im convinced he can show us some type of jumpshot in college.....he’s way more athletic than Draymond Green.....Larry Johnson type of PFSlizzy Take
I use Private Internet Access (PIA), and they charge $40 for the year which isn't too bad. If you use a VPN you can set your location for Mexico and get League Pass for even cheaper. You get full League Pass for $85 and Team Pass for $47. Biggest drawback is streaming to a device that's not your PC (obviously), but ChromeCast works well.
Thanks! I actually got it on Amazon while searching for Christmas gifts.

Should be around $80 on sale at some point (if not at Amazon if Amazon's decided not to sell them anymore or if there are some sort of Covid-19 supply issues).
And pay attention to Humble Bundles to see if you can get some cool podcasting software.
And if you're gonna use the webcam on your laptop, stack it on top your textbooks so that it's level with your face.
Watching the Starters right now and they are even digging into Karl. Had no idea Karl wrote another book previously - https://www.amazon.com/This-Games-Best-Dont-Screwing/dp/0312965761. Seems like a riveting book. Honestly, though, it seems to me that the name of the book speaks about George Karl a little bit.
good bye amar'e. i have been a fan since his phoenix days, ecstatic when he joined the knicks. and now will hope he can at win a ring or at least reach the finals with a contender
