I can't count how many stories I've dropped within five seconds of my clicking on them, just for bad English. I think there are a few stories that I've read for several chapters before deciding that I don't like the plot--but, in such cases, it's much more likely that I don't even click on them after reading the summary.
Capturing enemies is actually a very good war strategy. Even old books like The Art of War talk about how taking prisoners for war advantages is better than senseless killing. But, there are sick people willing to do terrible things during wars. So exploring this idea gets complicated... But I think it's a nice thing to be included...
To my knowledge, the only official information we have on D-rank missions comes from the First Fanbook, where the only clarification is that they involve no risk. Nothing stating they have to be IN the village.
And C-ranks do have the risk of combat, but usually not with shinobi. Bandits and thugs, mostly.
Depends on your phone OS! I use Android, so I can't say much for iPhone, but the app I use (and recommend) is Fanfiction Reader. It saves the fics locally on your phone so you don't have to worry about having an internet connection.
Oh boy, I have so many recs (many of which have been covered by the other people in this thread).
But if I had to recommend just one, I'd pick weialala's Sharingan Rising series. Features the best world building I've read in this fandom, in that although so many things (e.g. there multitude of religions, different cultural traditions in different regions) are different to canon, the immersiveness and quality of the writing means it's something I can accept and examine as part of this alternative universe. The story is from Sasuke's point of view, and is largely plot driven. Naruto and Sasuke's relationship is complicated and tenuous and influences the plot. Start at "In Good Company" linkao3(1084115)
~~linkao3(442369) is also quite good, though I'm not sure if it necessarily counts as slash...~~ WOOPS IT'S A SERIES wrong link here's the link http://archiveofourown.org/series/442369
I found one that made me go what the hell is this and then scan it to see how bad it got.

Had to delete my history, after -torturing- showing my friend, of course.
Naruto always does what he believes is right. If an author can twist his view on what is right then it's all downhill from there.
Read Kerghan's quote for an example of a bad guy who thinks he's doing the right thing for everyone by killing them and destroying everything they ever were.
mkay then Ill get you a list of a bunch of time travel stories that go back to before canon. Itll be a little bit tho and Ill prolly do a couple at a time cuz I need to track them down. but yeah I can start with a couple right now.
by ApplePie both Gen, MinatoKushina, still ongoing but recently updated.
2 What's the Worst That Can Happen? (both Naruto and Kakashi travels back) https://archiveofourown.org/works/799403/chapters/1505900 Life was going quite well, if you asked Naruto Uzumaki. So why did he have to listen to Kakashi of all people? Now, they've time traveled to the past, smack dab in Minato's era, when the soon-to-be Hokage was sporting a team seven of his own. Let history run its course? Never! Kakashi-centric
Ill update my post when I track down more.
not exactly an inuzuka ninken, but he gets dog summons and they basically are ninken, as in stay around and not like disappear.
https://archiveofourown.org/series/620383 Trust Your Nose series by BC_Brynn gen, completed whats there as in the 2 stories written are complete and still an ongoing series, meaning more could be added to it.
It's really cute. One of my favs.
blackkat has recently started a new series here: https://archiveofourown.org/series/722013
called "in dreams you follow (but I dream in the dark)" and basically Kiba defects to the Akatsuki as a spy.
Also, not sure if you've read it or not, but a fanfic called Of Harrowed Hearts started in October and it's pretty good. Features badass team 7 and some comedy.
Well make sure the in-universe name isn't "Wes," for starters. I like jisho for name-finding. Make sure to tag the search with #romaji if you can't read kana
I'd also stay away from 1st person POV honestly...it's just so hard to pull off because you have to be aware of all the usual writing things and then on top of that making sure your character has a consistent, recognizable voice. Even with published novels I haven't found a lot of well-done 1st person.
EDIT: Another cool thing you can do with jisho is paste a kanji in there with the #romaji tag and get alternate readings.
jisho.org is a really nice dictionary- there's a sidebar that will tell you if something that looks sufficiently name-like (e.g. Chie or Kensuke or something) is actually a name and whether it's a male, female, or undefined given name, a surname, or the name of a location. I don't use it a ton considering I'm not exactly knowledgable about Japanese either, but it'd probably be a good tool to use alongside the name generator.

I have enjoyed Glass Trinity so far.
GT focuses on the trio of Hashirama, Madara and Mito from childhood to adulthood and laying the foundations for the inevitable birth of the Leaf village. It's unfinished and the village hasn't been founded yet nor have the Tailed Beasts been captured, but you could conceivably treat the final chapter as an ending because we know how it's all going to end. But GT is a good example of the journey being more important than the destination.
It introduces some neat little twists and sub-plots -- like Madara being adopted as clan heir rather than being born into it or Madara and Mito meeting first -- that make it more than just a mindless walkthrough of what we already know.
Chronically ill main character has Diabetes, Celiac, and Hypothyroidism. It's very well written and researched. I highly recommend it.
Yeah, if you start measuring distance in ri, no one will have ANY clue what you're talking about. Just stick to what people know imo.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.~
Summary:
An AU in which all the character development of part one gets its due: Kakashi finds another way, Sasuke does not leave the Leaf, Itachi remains a villain, no one is a carbon copy of a previous generation, Sakura grows up to be terrifying, Sasuke finds his way back to family, and Naruto wins all hearts. Featuring Team Seven fluff, filling in the time-skip, and a rather different second half. Drama, Angst, Romance, Fluff, Action, Occasional Porn.
Noitca has one called The Nameless Ninja, but its not fully completed, but I really like it!

But this one is also Kakashi/(future)Naruto.
Below is a link to an AO3 search for Naruto, Self-Insert, and Uchiha Sasuke. Some of them have the SI as Sasuke, some are just Uchiha SIs, some are unrelated, but there's some decent stuff there. I don't have any personal recommendations, since I usually like SIs as OCs and not inserted into canon characters.
linkffn(It's a Mad World by okayserasera)
Luna Lovegood is reborn as Sasuke Uchiha. Really funny.
Team 7 Vs Paperwork Series by Lullabyknell
Team 7 through the generations dealing with paperwork. It's hilarious.
A LOT. On average I typically read around 20-40K words a day, sometimes more and sometimes less.
I just finished reading Lanning's Identical Series (Clark Kent/Lex Luthor). It took me two days to read all 286K. That's definitely not the most I've read in that time frame.
Let's see. I have 771 favorites saved to FFN (it used to be closer to 1000 but then deletions and the 2012 purges happened), 2326 bookmarks saved to AO3, and 498 LJ/DW/IJ fics saved to my old Delicious account. And that in no way covers the sheer scope of fics I've read--I've been in fandom since around 2005 and didn't start bookmarking fics until 2007 and not seriously until 2010-ish. Even now I tend to forget to favorite/bookmark perhaps 30-40% of the fics I read.
So yeah, a lot.
Hi, good news, what you are searching for is
Beyond the Limits of Darkness and Light By: Red Joker 042
It`s been deleted but I loved it to and so managed to find it, here is Link to Download Fanfic (.Mobi), then you can use This to turn .mobi file to PDF
Actually, you can negative search by using a hyphen before a phrase/word in the search bar! Ex: "naruto -rinnegan" would give you fics with naruto but without rinnegan mentioned. There's more search tips here: https://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/329#main
(Some stories still slip through the cracks because some authors don't bother to tag their story properly though)
>No wonder his Jinchūriki status got leaked
But do you know that hackers can leak your status? But with NordVPN you can stop these hackers with the Code narufiction
Tried doing one of those Nord VPN sponsors but failed spectacularly
You can buy it in English on Amazon. It’s got an official translation. Make sure to read the prequel first. I believe it’s called Daylight in English.
