You can definitely use Waze to get there, and plan your trip on the livemap.
We do have a small glitch at Al Kamil Wal Wafi at the moment because there's a new stretch of highway there and I'm not sure about the connection of the old road to the new one. I'll try to repair tomorrow, and then 2 days later it will be in the app.
If you do use Waze please report any errors you can find so I can get the map to perfection. We are improving the map everyday.

A child that can hack a child-proofed window and deadbolted door can surely remove a bracelet, right?
I feel the wrong problem is being addressed. Out-smart the preschooler, child-proof better, give the child the safety he deserves. Lock the door and wear the key as a necklace, child-proof the windows (loads of options, this is just an example, find whatever works best for their home) remove furniture that he could hurt himself with. It's thoughtful of you to post this, hopefully his parents will be open to guidance.
Well I am not an expert with biking/cycling but I reccomend Jabal Shams and I also found this article that could help and I also found this website with other people's routes.
Even if you could run it through VPN, it's useless because most of the people aren't willing to do the extra effort to use it and like u/DesiBullthroway said it's filled with prostitutes. I've tried to use it with TunnelBear VPN and it was working fine but then I deleted it because it's useless unless you wanna use it to swipe in different locations with Tinder plus.
I used Private Internet Access for Skype and WhatsApp calling in Oman with no problems. It's not expensive per month if you get a year but that is a big chunk to find all at once. You need to have a vpn that can use port 80 since most other ports are blocked anyway.
If you fancy really spending, get an iPhone - facetime isn't blocked, for reasons.
The biggest issue for me was services that are region locked, so things you use at home won't necessarily work here, ie netflix, bbc iplayer etc. For this you can use unodns, really simple and easy to use. You can use it to watch uk/us netflix/iplayer/etc on all of your devices.
In terms of general browsing you will find that the isp blocks porn and most vpn related sites. You will occasionally find random sites blocked for seemingly no reason, ie a tech forum, I suspect someone reported it for a particular post and then the whole site got blocked. In any case, you would need a vpn to get around these restrictions. As someone else mentioned, this can be tricky if you don't have a vpn to search for a vpn. To get around this around this you could use a free vpn such as Betternet (there's a browser add on for chrome), and then use it to search for something better. I know people who use Unodns for all of their video streaming dns needs and also use their UnoVPN service to get around isp blocked content. They have instructions for setting it up on any device you might have, good customer support, and the vpn hardly slows down the Internet connection.
Everyone here uses a vpn.
Edit - It's possible that traffic headed to a particular vpn server could be blocked by the isp. So perhaps the vpn service you had on your phone was blocked, or maybe it was just a configuration issue, in general most vpn's work fine.
Typed this on my phone so apologies if it doesn't read very well.
for trekking and camping i recommend Wadi Al Arbeieen http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1940497-d3767431-Reviews-Wadi_Al_Arbeieen-Muscat_Muscat_Governorate.html
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hanidev.massarh
The app ain't got English though.
They used to advertise on classifieds such as olx and opensouq i think. You can prolly find instagram pages of farms for hire as well.
I definitely wouldn't trust express vpn. Maybe look into nord

Can't speak about Oman but I thought about sharing my experience.
I did frequent the DW for a paper I was working on a paper regarding the smuggling of antiquities from the Middle East whilst I was studying in Taiwan 2-3 years ago. I purchased a used laptop that had nothing of value in it (personal info, documents, etc), purchased NordVPN, and used public wifi (there's several of those in Taiwan at public parks).
Over a span of two months or so, I never felt like I was in any sort of danger nor was I approached by cops/authorities. However, I did discover those website where one could purchase firearms, stolen credit card information, educational certificates and what not. Definitely got creeped out by those.
>But they don't mention any upload speed. Bruh, do you even read?
I'm sorry man just trying to help. The epithet was unnecessary.
This is why I was recommending Speedtest by Ookla
I got one of these from Fahmy furniture about 5 years ago. Been using it full time ever since, it's lasted well. Cost about RO100 if I remember correctly. All the main furniture shops have a range, but the cheaper ones though they might look good will not last well. My advice is to try a load out and for reference find the most expensive one in the shop and try that (even if it's out your price range) then compare that to the others in terms of comfort, solid build, adjustability etc. If you're spending most of your days in this chair, it's worth getting one you're happy with and is gentle on your back.
From a quick google search I did, it looks as if PureVPN to just download the certificate and send it to you, if you need it.
Have you tried Unlocator or SmartDNS Proxy? These arent VPN providers but rather they host DNS servers that redirect streaming traffic to unlisted proxy servers that can handle SSL (encrypted traffic). These can sometimes be more effective because they don't provide a list of their endpoints.
Hey everyone. I founded an app named Chai that was basically an Arab-made clubhouse but I decided to turn the app into "AnimeTalk" after clubhouse became popular in the Middle East. Please give my app a try if you're a fan of anime! I just started the app and it's still in the growth phase.
Perhaps if clubhouse gets restricted in more Middle Eastern countries, maybe I'll try again to create an Arab clubhouse.
Use ‘PrivateVPN’ ,paid version [˜$60 yearly, with 30 days money back offer]. I’ve been using it for last few months without any problem, though it was not working initially. Their customer support is great. They sorted out the issue initially when I wanted to cancel the subscription as it was not getting connected. They asked me specifically which site was not working with them and settled it within minutes! The app is not available in Omani App store or Playstore. So instead go to the web version and watch it there. A word of caution! The VPN is still erratic at times, so use the money back feature [30 days] if you’re not happy with it. Unfortunately this VPN don't work with prime video. I use 'Tunnel Bear' app to access it, though their customer support is not as good as PrivateVPN and no trial period available..
Can only recommend you to download an online app and check pricing before you go:
Try Otaxi app for ex.:

Since noone seems to have actually given you an answer I'll reply; use a VPN but get a paid one, frees ones will be selling your data to make money. PIA, NordVPN or ExpressVPN are three examples of some reasonably priced commercial VPNs thay will unblock the services you have mentioned. Personally I'd also recommend getting VoIP account from someone like so people can call you on a normal phone number.
I would buy them from Amazon. The surplus charges retailers in Oman add is ridiculous. If Amazon doesn’t ship direct to Oman you can use a DHL EasyShop US address.
Try to select a seller where it says either “sold and fulfilled by Amazon” or at least “ships by Amazon”. It’s a safer bet that way.

VPN + Skype.
I think ExpressVPN is great, it's the only VPN I ever use. Great Windows client, great Android/iOS apps. I don't experience hardly any slowing of my connection.
If you aren't too picky and just want something rough and basic, a free browser extension or app like Betternet is alright.
On a fresh device I always use Betternet in order to access the page for the ExpressVPN installation.
So the vpn I use is called Betternet, just google and download. It’s pretty self explanatory. After that use Skype. You could also use discord to talk to people but I mainly use that when gaming. Good luck!
BOYS HUGE UPDATE. AFTER TRIAL AND ERROR 100 TIMES I FIGURE IT OUT. Thank me later. Now here is after 3 days continuous hard work I found out. There is a glitch in omantel. 2 they have no idea there is something. 3 I'll get this fixed soon with them but till then you can play league without VPN. Here is how. 1. get Betternet for pc. It's free and easy 2. Turn it on and update the game. Should update just fine with no issues. If any issues just uninstall whole game and download it again with vpn. 3. After you download launch and open game. 4. Once you're in your home screen ( where you can choose what the fuck you wanna play) you don't need the vpn anymore 5. Just disconnect it and the game will reconnect using your normal Internet with no issues. pS : after you log in you will never need the vpn. Even if you get dc as long as you don't have to exit the game and log in again you won't need the vpn. Thank me later boys. I'll talk with rito and get this fixed asap so we don't need vpn even for log in Till then thank God you have me xD
Forget the taxi's for late night bar hopping, oman recently launched Mwasalat Taxi, an on demand taxi service with fair prices. Also there's Marhaba Taxi . Enjoy your night life.
I am delighted to hear that you're interested in Oman's history and culture :D. There's a book that I have studied last semester at my college called "Oman - The Islamic Democratic Tradition" and I think it has many interesting info about the history and culture. But bear in mind, it is rather 'deep' and dense. This is the book.. I believe it is also available online so be sure to check it first before buying.
