Japan taxi is now Go taxi (Android link)
This one works, we used it several times during pregnancy to go to the hospital.
With it being an older game you aren't likely to find it in a retail store. Super Potato would have been your best bet. That said, if you live in Japan or are going to be here for a while you can pick up a copy from Amazon Japan. https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E5%A4%A7%E7%A5%9E-%E7%B5%B6%E6%99%AF%E7%89%88-PlayStation-Best-%E5%A4%A7%E7%A5%9E%E3%82%B5%E3%82%A6%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%88%E3%83%A9%E3%83%83%E3%82%AFCD%E3%80%8C%E5%B9%B8%E7%8E%89%E9%81%B8%E6%9B%B2%E9%9B%86%E3%80%8D/dp...
Hi!
I just got back from my trip to Osaka, and I rented a place in Osaka via Air BnB. The place was great and very convenient. Walking distance to the train station, convenience store, bars, restaurants and Dontonburi. The apartment itself is well maintained, very clean, spacious for four people. Here's the link of the Airbnb listing
As for the transportation in Osaka, their trains are efficient and always arrive on time. The train fare costs between JPY180 to JPY370 depending on where you're going. Here's a link to their transportation website.
Hope this helps!
I think a lot of poeple go through what you are going through. It can be hard to meet a bunch of new friends as an adult even in your home country, let alone in a place where you feel sometimes out of your depth or alienated. But that can also work to your advantage. It gives you an automatic comradery with a lot of other foreigners, and a level of intruige for japanese people interested in foreign cultures. meetup.com is a good way to meet people. you can find general parties like pub crawls with tons of people, or smaller events more niche related to your general interests. Like I just joined a group for craft beer thats a good mix of Japanese and foreigners.
My place is hosting an event there to watch game of thrones on monday and eat tacos.
facebook could be good too, try searching whatever you are into + osaka. like yoga osaka, bicycling osaka, video game osaka... whatever.
This post is pretty helpful. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g298566-i2803-k2708106-Hanshin_Tigers_Baseball-Osaka_Osaka_Prefecture_Kinki.html
I'm in Osaka just now but pretty fresh off the boat. I could see if one of my house mates is willing to help me navigate the machine at 7/11 or Lawsons and pick them up for you. Feel free to send me a PM.
Only place I've heard of for live bands off hand is The Blarney Stone near Shinsaibashi on Fridays and Saturdays but I'm a noob here.
This site seems to have a pretty good listing for major bands but not local or indies http://www.songkick.com/metro_areas/30647-japan-osaka
A quick search brought up this as well. http://www.users.on.net/~ukichi/osakaminamilive.html
Actually kind of glad you asked because it's gor me looking now and I'd love to check out the local music scene. When about in June are you coming?

After a lot of research, I decided that was the best for the cost.
We got this one and it works well. There are two knobs. The left knob is signal strength. Turn it all the way up, then ease it off little by little if you are getting lots of hits. You can toss a coin on the ground and get a feel for it quickly. The right knob is to eliminate false positives. I didn't use it at all and it works fine.
You have to swing it because if it is just sitting still, it does not give a signal. It comes with head phones you'll hear a clear beep when it finds something.
Take a shovel, dig in the spot and toss the dirt nearby where you've already checked, then swipe over that. Next time we'll bring a box with a screen at the bottom to speed up the processes, but that's not necessary to have a good time. My 11 yo used it with no problems.
What I've heard about legalities (second hand on the Internet) is that what's above ground, you take to the police, but what's below ground is yours, generally. But stay away from Shrines and Temples. We were encouraged by /r/metaldetecting to use the headphones so the beeping doesn't bother people and give the community a bad name.
After opening it, we went out to a park and swiped under all the benches and heard lots of hits, though we didn't dig. At the beach, we began finding coins rather quickly. We went where people were likely to put their ground covers in better weather, so dry sand near the wet sand. The coins are dirty and look old.
I got so desperate for plain corn chips! I sometimes order a box of these. I prefer them to a lot of the import chips around.
Se vende masa en Amazon. Aparte de eso, tal vez puedes buscar un supermercado latino o filipino quizas.
There's always a pub crawl every Saturday starting from Blarney Stone Shinsaibashi at 7pm. But I think they cancelled it today because of the typhoon. There's a picnic tomorrow night though at Tennoji. Anyway, hit up meetup.com app and you'll see lots of them there.
There are free classes offered right next to where I work at a local elementary school. They also have branches in other places.
There are various teachers there, some retired, some volunteers. All in all, you can't beat it for being free! Classes (at this location) are every Tuesday from 7-8:30pm (I know, not the weekend time you're looking for but they can point you in the direction of one of their other branches).

The school is about a 10 minute walk from the 大阪城公園 (Osakajokoen) station.
As far as I know, Ibuprofen can help with the right dose but…
combining it with acetaminophen (paracetamol) is recommended to reduce fever caused by COVID.
A lot of the places that were giving vaccines also recommended Calonal 500mg tablets for fever reduction. Maybe you can ask your Japanese friend to see if a doctor can give you this to help?
As for the antigen test, I can certainly recommend the MEDMET (Japanese brand) antigen tests
I have COVID now and it detected mine pretty much from what I presume was Day 1-2 and the symptoms are clearly tracking as typical COVID.
Note, it really sucks, I had a 38.9 fever last night and I don’t wish it on anyone so I feel a lot of sympathy for you
Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor but work in manufacturing of products used in Life Sciences. So I hear people talk, I read up on a lot of things but I do not have any trained medical background
Gilded. Thank you so much. Really invaluable for me. I hope you don't mind me asking some followups.

Thanks to u/sinmantky I got search keywords for it!
If you want to travel a bit further to Nara, I usually go to this restaurant (Gyokuro https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3755523925) with my family...
Serving roughly ten people at the counter + 6-8 in a private.
But a regular omakase-plate will cost you around 5000Y + drinks.
Never done it from the Philippines, but from Canada XE gave me pretty good rates. It was pretty easy to set up, they gave a decent exchange rate, and they didn't charge any fees.
Wikipedia says only the first book of the series translated. And It came in two volumes.

You obviously didn't read the article. The article was written by Bryan Washington, the author of Lot: https://www.amazon.com/Lot-Stories-Bryan-Washington/dp/0525533672/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=lot&qid=1573099563&rnid=2941120011&s=books&sr=1-1
Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your exact question, though perhaps someone else will come along with one.
However, when I want to watch hockey from Japan I set my StrongVPN account to connect to one of their servers in Canada and then stream from the CBC. It's been a couple of years since I've done this but there's a good chance it will still work.
Alternatively if you can stay offline during the game you should be able to torrent it soon after it's over.
As /u/KyotoGaijin mentioned, the /r/formula1 feed is generally good. Also, if you don't mind paying for StrongVPN you can set yourself up with a VPN to the UK and watch the BBC streams.
I've lived in Osaka for about 20 years and haven't heard of bars showing it live. There is a huge F1 following here so there may be Japanese-oriented bars who show it. If you manage to find one I would love to know. Have only ever watched F1 by myself!
I use Google Translate with the camera feature for translating text (take a photo and use your finger to highlight, the instant translation is neat but somehow gets much worse results).
As a tourist though, if you need to communicate with a human, I would recommend VoiceTra. Unlike Translate, it specializes in Japanese and it's eerily good, at least when compared to the nonsense that Translate often spits out. It won't be perfect, but for hanging out as a tourist, it'll be fine.
