let me preface this with the following: I DO NOT HAVE FACE UNLOCK WORKING ON A PIXEL 6 DEVICE
This menu was found using an app that lists all of the settings views that could be hidden by the manufacturer here
Now, this could mean nothing, and simply that Google forgot or neglected to remove the face unlock activity from the P6 and simply hid it, OR it could mean they plan to release it later, and have hid the activity in the meantime. The app seems to only be able to bring up the "successful" page, the face unlock onboarding predicably crashes.
some devices are experiencing inaccurate gps locations (by 20 or 30 metres) in some apps on the 6 series. a future update will fix it. just keep play services and all your apps updated. and you can install GPSTest (free and opensource) - that will verify if your gps sensor is working fine (outside; getting a lock on 21 satellites etc). it also has the option to inject psds gps and time info data which can help with accuracy. any apps that rely on gps: long press on shortcut, info, and in location set it to accurate and always allow, enable all permissions, and for battery set it to unrestricted usage.
To be very honest, I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS call bubble since the very beginning I bought my P6. But, before the Feb update the bubble wasnt there on the screen for me, I had a notification bar/icon/chip for the 'ongoing call' which was perfect. Looks like Google's every other update is a step back now a days.
So for the time being after losing my mind and patience with Google fixing their "UTMOST BASIC" shit, I've compromised with downloading and making another default "phone app". So far its going good.
Phone app mentioned above: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simpler.dialer
Well if you want to find the optimum charging position, another way to do it is to install this app and move your phone around until you find where the power reading is at its maximum.
Never sideload camera APK. Click on the play store link below and open it in play store. Uninstall the update and install it again. And wait for the new update to reach your phone through play store.
Those who have got an email and text saying their reward is shipped, DHL are the courier but they don't email or text. I only got the message via push notification from the DHL app. Just download and register with the same email address and phone number used for Google store and Google rewards when you made your claim and you should get a message.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dhlparcel.consumerapp
I use the CCleaner app. It will clean all the cache at once for you. Or you if you upgrade to their paid version, you can run it on a schedule to clean your phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piriform.ccleaner
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dhlparcel.consumerapp
Install this app, register with the same details as submitted to Google. It is showing that DHL has a parcel for me, only one though so you are probably right, Google Gremlins at work with the double notifications.
I have the DHL app installed on my phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dhlparcel.consumerapp
I first got a push message from the app to tell me that they had received details of shipment. Then I got a further message saying the parcel had been picked up and gave me delivery estimate of tomorrow, Weds 17th. I'm not home tomorrow so I changed delivery to Thursday 18th.
I guess it's been matched up to my phone number or email address. I know DPD does that too.
That's very odd. That points to something with the mobile network. Thing is I also use TMobile and haven't had issues there either. In fact, to test, I turned off wifi, connected to Mullvad and am submitting this comment.

And now I'm resubmitting....because interestingly it failed. But then I went into the app, switched servers, reloaded a web page and it started working.
But then it stopped again. Switched to NordVPN and it worked fine. I will note I only tend to use VPN when connected to wifi. Nord working fine means that the VPN bug from beta 4 is not the culprit....something about TMobile and Mullvad on the current build is weird, though.
So, yeah. I guess I'm experiencing this too.
I too am trying to find a good, well received Privacy screen protector that supports the fingerprint scanner. So far pickings are quite slim.
I had bought this one in haste, only to have a pretty bad experience with it.
I took it off after only 18 hours of putting it on. Viewing at extreme angles is still possible, touch sensitivity is pretty bad around the edges, fingerprint scanner is completely unusable.
Just avoid this one.
I have actually been actively searching for a good one on Amazon and other sites.
I will report back when I find one that works.
I posted the Amazon Smile by accident. Here's a link to regular Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099F3HLJR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here's a link to a charger I use in my car. I plug it into the power port in the car and use the middle slot to charge my phone and it takes full advantage of PD PPS which is what Google uses. I can be driving with Android Auto connected wirelessly both thru Bluetooth and WiFi. My phone never gets below 100% while using it in the car.
This is exactly what I did. I have the Baseus 100W Gan2. About $50 when I got it. It charges everything including the weird 65W that the Lenovo PCs use.
https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Baseus-Compact-MacBook-Laptops/dp/B092Z1W5MF?th=1
I got the Anker. It works fine. I actually have three. One on my nightstand, one on my office desk, and one in my overnight bag.
A Google photo editing app, been around a while, I prefer it to Photos built in editing tools. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niksoftware.snapseed
This happens when you unlock the bootloader and root. I'm guessing you haven done that so it's weird.
If you go to the Play Store settings > About > Play Protect certification
Does it say "Device is certified"
If not you can try and clear cache and/or data, force close app, restart device and check again.
You could also try checking device integrity using these apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gr.nikolasspyr.integritycheck
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rikka.safetynetchecker
In your case it should all pass since, I'm guessing you haven't rooted or unlocked the bootloader
My wife has a pixel 6 and has been having these issues. Picked up this adapter and she has no disconnects.

Hi, late to this thread but I have the same exact issue and across Surfshark, Mullvad and Google One VPNs. Did you ever find a solution? I've brought it to Google Support a couple of times and they have been absolutely useless.
Btw, I'm using another app for outgoing calls called Multi Sim Selector: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steffen_b.multisimselector
It will choose which sim card to use when making an outbound call depending on definable rules. What works fine for me is choosing by contact source, e. g. if the number to dial is in my company's exchange account, then use the company sim, if it's in my private contacts, use private sim. But there are other rules as well.
I just made my own vented case for my P6.
I bought this case and cut the back acrylic panel out:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0998CWWT6
Unfortunately, without that as reinforcement, the remaining case didn't fit very tightly on the phone. I made a series of printed parts that I glued into the case. First, just a cross bar in the middle, then a perimeter frame with a crossbar.
Finally, I settled on one with cutouts for my mag mount plates and the Google logo, with open triangular mesh everywhere else. This gives it a nice continuous feel on your hand, with plenty of open air for rejecting heat.

There is still a slight green shift even after the calibration as a byproduct of OLEDs but it's less prominent after my calibration.
Idk if anyone else wants to try but I just tuned green down to 242 with Color Changer Pro
Ghostek COVERT Case Pixel 6 Pro... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B095XHTBXV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I use this one and I love it. It is cloudy white on the sides with a clear back. Buttons are clicking very nicely when pressed

Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger with Qi-Certified 10W Wireless Charging and 18W USB-C Quick Charge for iPhone 13, 12, Mini, Pro, iPad, AirPods, and More
Weird, a lot of users complain that it get's yellow in two months. It's the first answer in QA. Maybe it depends on the usage - do you game frequently? Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is getting yellow because of heat or sunlight
I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Ghostek-Waterproof-Protector-Shockproof-Protection/dp/B09S2CS4LC/
I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use, but if you're happy to put it on when you go to the beach/pool it's good.
You can use an app called "TidyPanel' in the playstore to hide perminent notifications. It cost a little bit for the pro version but I think it's worth it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dharmapoudel.tidypanel
>Then I bought a usbC to 3.5mm stereo (headphone) adaptor, because I want to send audio to my car which is too old for Bluetooth. It also is unavailable for use on my p6pro.
That one should work. It's just that a lot of dongles are out-of-spec.
Also, FWIW, if your car has an AUX port you might consider a Bluetooth adapter to plug into it. I did that for years with my older car and work great. Something like this.
I like Spigen cases. I can't make the comparison to your case, but this case is fairly thin and still offers great protection. I have an Otterbox case too, and it adds too much bulk to carry in a jeans pocket comfortably. The Spigen case fits in a jeans pocket easily.
I've had the same issue with many protectors. Finally found ones that work great!
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09LHD6XZN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The FP success rate has gotten better with software updates, but make sure screen sensitivity is toggled on.
Settings>search "increase touch sensitivity">Increased touch sensitivity toggled "on"
I work with mine and have lost/smashed a few so I don't spend a lot on them. I've been using Soundpeats Sonic ear buds, they sound good to me, the batteries are good for around 6 hours, and they cost me about $50 on Amazon.
I also use Nova. I've dabbled with Niagara, and it's good for it's unique approach, but Nova let's you assign a ton of gestures to open various apps (ie: double tap the screen to open the phone, swipe up for dock, down for notifications, two fingers down for apps, etc) and between that and it's huge array of customization with how apps appear, animations, hiding apps in the app drawer and folders, you can really get your phone to behave completely differently. You don't even need apps on your screen with Nova- I have it paired with sesame shortcuts
And it's set so if I gesture for the home screen while I'm on it already, I open a universal search that leaves all my contacts, apps and shortcuts available to me in a second.
You can also attach the Google Now screen while swiping from the left like on pixel launcher, which I use a lot too. Turns it into literally a better stock launcher with no downside. Highly recommend it
I had the same experience as you. After trying a couple garbage screen protectors I found this one:
https://www.amazon.ca/Protector-Akcoo-Tempered-Compatible-fingerprint/dp/B09KC72DWF
It is messy to install because you need to apply a curable liquid to the screen and cure it with the included UV light. But the clarity and fit are perfect.
I'm currently using Belkin's 36W dual USB type-C car charger (18W per plug)
https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Charger-Delivery-iPhone-Samsung/dp/B086H4BG51
It's USB PD, and you can use your type-C to type-C cables instead of old school USB plugs.
There's no need for more power given a Pixel caps at what, 23W ? Works fine for me, using Waze + Spotify + some other messaging apps, it charges very fast and stays at 100%.
This one, which I've recommended before. It seems to be sold under many different names, but this is the one I and my spouse are using.
Might not be a full bumper but I have this one I'm using. The back is clear so it still has the back protection but does feel like a bumper case. I modded mine and removed the back clear to make it a true bumper case.
12% in 8hrs is 1.5%/hr, about double what I get. I would suspect a rogue app keeping the P6 awake or at least wakelocking it more than it should. Force close every app you installed (or use an app like this to do it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tafayor.hibernator), reboot before you go to sleep and try again. If all is better, it's likely a bad app.
The problem is it looks fake Chinese product in that category so i would not advise you to use this on your other phones too.
I have been using Moshi 3.5 and Usb C Splitter. It was launched with "Made for Google" category of OEM accessories. So it supports PD Fast charging, has an in built Amp and DAC.
https://www.amazon.com/Moshi-Digital-Adapter-Charging-Adapters/dp/B07XPM6F96
I'm rocking the Spigen one and it works flawlessly, even comes with this aligner thing so you literally cannot place it anything but perfect on the screen.

I used this telescope:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09836V1BD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But the cheap phone mount it came with is utter garbage, so this shot I actually got by just holding the phone awkwardly over the eyepiece and trying to keep it steady enough for night mode to do it's thing.
I'm hoping to get/maybe fabricate a better mounting system in the future, as I was pleasantly surprised by the result I got with such shoddy procedures!!
Also OtterBox defender pro - originally are 60$ but I got one on eBay for less then 20$.
There are certain screen protectors that work better than others.
Google has a list of recommended screen protectors.
Here's my recommendation: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09LHD6XZN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Beyond that there are 2 things you can do:
1) make sure settings>display>increase touch sensitivity is toggled on
2) register your thumb again (and again) in different touch patterns
I had a Poetic Revolution for my last phone and it was "ok" but not great. It had a built-in screen protector which I loved. The plug for the USB cable port would never stay in place.
The case I bought for my P6P is the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. It also has a built-in screen protector and the USB cable port plug works great. The case is also more rubbery feeling than the Poetic and that makes it grippier to hold. The case also has a stand so that you can prop up the phone either vertically or horizontally. There is also an included holster that you can attach to your belt.
The film screen protectors are junk. You will never get a good scan. Use a curved glass.
I use this and it is fantastic

Maybe you can use something sort of Disk Usage app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage
To find out where your space is going? While I don't have anywhere near as big a space disparity when compared to yours (just 2GB difference between playstore and storage in settings)
My pixel buds show up as 2 separate earbuds plus the case.
Did you try the app for yours?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.howto.use.xiaomi.haylougt1
I have the same habit of buying lots of cases. Currently I'm mostly swapping between a Bellroy for looks and this for comfort and protection https://www.amazon.com/AINOYA-Compatible-Military-Grade-Shockproof-Translucent/dp/B09HXBRB2W
I'm typically a fan of glass, but with all the issues I heard about I decided to go for TPU. It's pretty cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot. I installed it 2 days ago and am very happy with it. It looks/feels great, and everything works.
It's from IMBZBK - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHPCW5S?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
This is the case I'm using and I highly recommend it. Phone stays slim enough but with good drop protection.
I actually kinda hate film protectors. My 6 Pro came with one and I really hated it, hated the feeling and hated how it came apart at the curved ends of the phone.
I got the following from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/IMBZBK-Google-Pixel-Pro-Installation/dp/B09FHPCW5S The installation was pretty easy and fool proof - but the best thing is the feeling. It feels like glass!!! I switched to Pixel from an iPhone and got so used to years of using glass protectors that the film annoyed me so much, but now I can hardly feel the difference between this and the actual screen.
Oh and on top of that, it improved the fingerprint scanner. I don't event remember the last time it failed since I switched.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samruston.buzzkill look what I just found in the store. I already changed the vibration patterns for a few apps. Still not that complicated combinations like on a Samsung phone but still good!
You can use this app to unlink notification and ringer volumes and set whatever volume level (or mute) you want for the different sounds.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=Orion.Soft&hl=en\_US&gl=US
I use an app from the Google Play Store that separates all the various channels of sound into separate sliders. You can also choose how the slider panel looks and behaves.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tombayley.volumepanel
I do hair and garden and my hands hurt too. I don't like sharp edges or anything pokey or hard. So far this has been my favorite grip looped through one of the liquid silicone cases.
I liked going completely raw dog with my Pixel 5, so I also wrapped it in this matte flow in the dark tekwrap so it has a grippier feel with no case.
I had a Poetic Revolution case on my last phone and it was just OK. The plug for the USB port would not stay in place. For my Pixel 6 Pro I ordered a case that is very similar to the Poetic but much, much better. It has a more rubbery and very grippy feel to it. I doubt that the side bezel is any better than the Poetic but overall the case is superior. It has a kickstand and also comes with a holster plus the attached plug for the USB port actually stays in place. This case also has military grade drop protection.
Neither of these have a slip-resistant cover. I found this slip-resistant pad that I can cut off a section and stick it to my phone https://www.amazon.com/BLAU-GRUN-Dashboard-Sunglasses-Electronic/dp/B09GLTTTTW/
Ordered it from Amazon and it provides no slip-resistance whatsoever. I have no idea why people are ok with their phone flying off their lap or dash or seat. I found this slip-resistant pad that I can cut off a section and stick it to my phone https://www.amazon.com/BLAU-GRUN-Dashboard-Sunglasses-Electronic/dp/B09GLTTTTW/

Foluu Case for Google Pixel 6 Pro... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BVCCGVP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use this case. It has a built-in screen saver, a plug for the USB port, and a kickstand. It also has military grade protection. You may find it bulky but it works fine for me. It's way cheaper than an OtterBox and just as good, if not better.
Strange, that link works for me. Try this one instead.

You mean with the curved glass? If you don't buy a tempered glass one then it's fine. Tempered glass is great but on a phone with a curved glass display, they tend to lift off and more importantly crack easier because the glass is more susceptible to impact with a case on IMO. Sure your display is always safe but I was replacing them every few months on my last phone with a tempered protector. Then I went without for a while but was scratching it, so then I got a TPU film one and that was perfect. It made scratches much less visible, never lifted off, and the new ones feel smoother than glass.
I use this one, only the display portion. Not the camera portion. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHPCW5S/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_dl_RJ8BCPES373MA46DZKW7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Hey I have a recommendation! I originally had the official Google case because I wanted to show off the back of my phone but it was way too slippery and yellowed after only a month. I spent the longest time looking for a case that would offer better grip and protection while still showing off the colorful Pixel. I finally found something on Amazon for $13 that showed some promise and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! I was hesitant putting my $600 phone in a $13 case but my phone instantly felt more secure although the case does add some noticeable (but not too much) bulk. I've dropped my phone only twice so far in this case but the case is extremely solid. My favorite part is that the back is a rigid textured clear matte finish that gives substantially more grip than my previous case while still allowing the colors to shine through. I feel like I've just written a full advertisement for this product but I honestly couldn't be happier with the bang for the buck! Let me know if you have any questions.

I doubt it. For starters, many different watches with different charging systems run WearOS, so it's impossible to make a charger that works with all of them.
Just pick up one of these and a few cords, and clear a spot on your nightstand.
Hi,
this is the charger https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Baseus-Compact-Samsung-AirPods/dp/B09HZLN3MR?th=1 but with EU connector. I do not use the charger with more than 1 device per charge, when I'm charging the Pixel it's the only device that's charging. Let me know if you think that there is something wrong with the charger itself. I'm down to getting a new charger as long as I find one that's guaranteed to work.
No i'm not trying to bash on the Pixel, but I really think that staying at 30% for 5 minutes is very unreasonable. When I'm using an app like Ampere which supposedly measures the mA while charging it only once showed above 4000mA, and sometimes it even dropped to 240mA, tried with Adaptive charging off and on and the results were the same. Maybe it doesn't charge while I'm using the device? Who knows.
I just installed this a few days ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09KN6VVZW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are TPU and it's hard to tell that it's on there visually speaking and it works just fine but I prefer the feel of glass. I ordered a Whitestone the other day.
This isn't the fastest the Pixel charges, but I can vouch for Anker chargers being very reliable.
I know, but had to ask. ;)
Well sounds like you've troubleshot about as much as an end user can and uncovered some bug/quirk, could be phone or network or the VPN. As a last ditch you could try tech support at NordVPN to see if they have any insight.
I have a P6 Pro with eSIM (Visible) and just tested and could not duplicate the problem. I started NordVPN and could receive phone calls and texts normally. I tried on cellular only and WiFi, both worked,
I guess at this point you need to try to define the issue precisely. Does the problem really only occur with eSIM but not a physical SIM? Does the problem come and go reliably based on NordVPN being active? etc.

I was disappointed with the fp reader when I installed my go-to tgsp from Omoton so I reverted back to the brand of PET screen protector I used previously from Illumishield. These apply bubble free and dry. Imo, PET feels much more like glass than TPU (e.g. Iq Shield), which feels sticky to me. I can never forget that a TPU protector is there.

So i bought this Case from Amazon for 11€ (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09GXG56QD/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_G4ZWQ9WXS1TEDSND39HN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) and two magsafe Rings from SHEIN for 1€ and simply heated Up the "leather" from the Case, slipped the Ring under it and closed it again with heat. Et voila!
I am using a screen protector that gives me the same rate of successful scanning compared to bare screen. I don't even use increased touch screen sensitivity https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09LL9MLGY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 of course my sanning isnt always succsessful but as I already said it is the same rate compared to bare screen from before .....

This is the film I bought, not a brand I have ever tried before but applied pretty nicely, claims to be water resistant, no clue as to how long it will last but the roll I bought will wrap this phone probably 1000 times over so not too worried about it.
Reapinter is a good option, but as a root user I found the Project Themer the best, along with the material color control it also offers some exciting new design for the status bar icon. And the price is really cheap considering the repainter app. But one thing to keep in mind is, the device must be rooted. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drsants.eggproject
I am using a USB headphone adapter on my pixel 6 ( https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B085S5DFJR Realtek ALC4042 DAC ) , works without installing an app. My stereo speakers have a USB input (Klipsch The Fives) and work without an app when plugged into the P6.
I'm using this reader

Really happy so far with this screen protector. It has a unique guide for the installation that plugs into the USB port and aligns the screen protector really well. Probably one of the easiest and most flawless installations I have encountered with any of my phones.
Thanks for the suggestion. Looking at that Crave case confirms my suspicion that there are a handful of case prototypes for any given phone model that are manufactured in a handful of Chinese factories and then sold by different brands at wildly varying prices.
So I bought this case from KWMobile on Amazon, which I think is the same thing but half the price. Regardless, the covered buttons aren't too bad and the feel of the case is nice. I wouldn't vouch for any other color than black. It's possible that the quality control of the other colors is better for Crave than KW but maybe not.
