Physically and emotionally abused his ex-wife before he got divorced and married his administrative assistant/ex-wife's best friend, but that's not really controversial in their circle.
When this is all said and done, a case study similar to this one could be really fascinating. The Qultists embody a near-textbook definition of cognitive dissonance. We could learn a lot from them.
You are technically correct (best kind)
however many editions of the book have been published with only the number "1984" on the cover
When even the publisher gets it wrong, it's hard to find much fault in random internet comments

Unfortunately he can't be talked to. And when this is all over the 65,000 arrests don't happen, etc etc, he'll just move on to the next conspiracy.

Think mirror. Dallas = Sallad. Sallad is an obsolete spelling of salad and sounds suspiciously Islamic.
>Sallad
>noun Obsolete forms of salad, sallet.

>Salah (Arabic: صَلاة, pl salawat, romanized: Arabic pronunciation: [sˤa'laː(h)], ([sˤaˈlaːt] in construct state) lit. 'prayer'), also known as namāz (Persian: نماز) and also spelled salat, are prayers performed by Muslims.

Clearly Dallas is secretly run by Muslim vegans. They assassinated JFK for not banning meat and for refusing to bring in Sharia law.

I think a lot of people will just realize they've been had and quietly rejoin normal life, but the crazies will get crazier.
Not narcissistic. He had been made into a pop culture icon before he'd ever really accomplished anything. Stalked by paparazzi to the point that it arguably led to his death (he hated flying commercial bc people wouldn't let him just be, but he was ADHD and shouldn't have been flying). Caroline didn't want this shit following him to the grave.
He was a big deal. There's no equivalent to him today so I don't really know how to explain him to a millennial. Rich, political scion, classy, educated, and drop dead gorgeous. He was also a good guy whom people wanted to root for. Ugh, it still makes me sad.
Just imagine the exact opposite of Don Jr. and you'll get an idea.
You should read the biography by Steve Gillon: https://www.amazon.com/Americas-Reluctant-Prince-Life-Kennedy/dp/1524742384
I don't think it's what qcumbers think it is, though.
Narcissism. Look at all the Trump shills, they put their faces on everything. My favourite is Michael Savage, he wrote a book called Trump's War and the cover photo isn't of Trump or anything to do with Trump but a giant picture of Michael Savage. They love seeing themselves and having their name all over things.
They don't seem to ever tire of creating new "any day now" fantasies, even after all the disappointments. This, I think, is a true hallmark of a delusional cult movement. Reality doesn't matter to them. They disregard it or tell themselves it's a holographic distraction, part of The Plan. They lose and lose and lose, but none of that results in learning. All they want is hope, for some future social transformation which will vindicate and empower them. https://www.amazon.co.uk/When-Prophecy-Fails-Leon-Festinger/dp/1905177194

With the odysee platform on the rise, we should be on the look out. It looks like more COVID misinformation is brewing... and Odysee is promoting it.
Also fun fact, earlier this year, I got banned from the r/OdyseeForever and it's technology ( r/lbry) sub for bringing criticisms in a serious manner. Like how creators shouldn't take for granted in the hypocrisy in promoting it as a "free speech" platform when their technology and rules are no different then YouTube (look at rules 4 and 7).
Like who bans people for pointing out to be cautious of a rising alternative? We should be cautious optimistic or just plain cautious. But considering the rise of covid misinfomation and wacky stuff on there, Qult people and scumbags of the earth will be that platforms downfall if it keeps going.
Hey man. I appreciate that you're probably having a very difficult day, and I want you to know that I'm not here to gloat.
You have been victimized by a con man (almost certainly Jim Watkins). It's a hard thing to accept, but it doesn't make you a bad person. You can learn and grow from this experience.
The important thing is that you resist the urge to double down. Right now you're in a place similar to end-time cultists whose predictions failed to come true. Here's a good book on the subject.
I use it as my Trump art dump.

I was hoping that more people would follow me for presenting their Lord in such positive light. Their idol worship is weird.
If you search “Religion for Breakfast Apocrypha” on YouTube, Andrew now has a good list of videos he’s done in the past few years going through what’s been left out of the Bible, which is even more intriguing than the stories in the actual gospels. For Christ’s Sake, too, you can even buy various versions of the Apocrypha Bible off of Amazon. They don’t have to wait for the Vatican to release anything…
…this is also neglecting the whole Book of Mormon and other volumes that were “additions” made 180 years ago (though, I’d imagine that, if these QAnons are like my Fundie family, they’d view the Book of Mormon and other texts as blasphemy…which means we’re this close to r/selfawarewolves territory now)

I've for quite some time thought that the "ego" or "esoteric knowledge" thing was part of it and it may be but I'm reading Escaping the Rabbit Hole: How to Debunk Conspiracy Theories Using Facts, Logic, and Respect and the author points out that although there has been a study done on having special knowledge that the relationship between the need for this knowedge and conspiracy belief is very weak. I'm paraphrasing a bit but I was surprised to see that. This is one of those cases where the media promoted this with a sensational headline when the evidence wasn't very strong. I can't find the specific article but I think it was from Psypost.com

I was looking up mole children after reading this and there’s a book on it? Apparently Mole book link it was written back in 1993, so either the author is also crazy or its a fiction book that Qpeople are believing for some odd reason
I'm reminded of the book Letters to Hitler, a collection of letters sent to Hitler by ordinary members of the public: "The commentary also describes the bureaucratic procedures that evolved to deal with the correspondence (Hitler never read any of it), which ranged from warm thanks to referral to the Gestapo."
That "referral to the Gestapo" wasn't so much for letters expressing and kind of political opposition, or with threats against Hitler (those were practically non-existent). It usually meant that the people reading the letters had judged that a particular letter-writer was probably crazy, and required locking up in a psychiatric institution (which from 1940 onwards could also mean they were sent to the gas chambers).
Nice. Old hat woo-woo nonsense with a conspiracy theory about the Rockefellers mixed in.
Whoever believes this nonsense should really read this book by Bruce Haynes (who wasn't just a scholar but a great performing musician):
A History of Performing Pitch. The Story of "A"
TL;DR summary: Over the last 400 years or so, the frequency of A has been at anywhere between 380 and 500 Hz, depending on where you were. There have been times and places where different "standard" frequencies where in common use alongside each other.

Proving Everything Trump Touches Dies
As far back as the 1940's studies have been done on victims of Cons. There is a great book about the research. Psychological studies lay out that victims of cons tend to be more angry at the people who reveal they are being conned than they are at the people who conned them. They also tend to shift and twist beyond all credulity to stop from having to admit that the ENTIRE con was a lie....
Just get the flag that says fuck joe biden. LGB is not witty, clever, creative, or interesting. There is no crime is having a flag that says FJB.
Read: They Want to Kill Americans: The Militias, Terrorists, and Deranged Ideology of the Trump Insurgency - By Malcom Nance. It will keep yo awake nights wondering how this could happen in the U.S. The people who put this out know it is a lie but use it in stochastic terrorism. They want their lesser intelect people to sacrifice themselves, much like mid-east suicide bombers.
That's not it. That's a book about the book and it's impact on society, oddly. This is it:

I first came across the notion in Michelangelo Signorile's Book It's Not Over: Getting Beyond Tolerance, Defeating Homophobia, & Winning True Equality Interestingly, he cites the NYT piece's author for some of the analysis. I haven't read the book in 5+ years, so I didn't remember the name.
>In New York and Mississippi, there are relatively similar rates of searches for gay pornography, for example, in contrast to the percentage of the openly gay population, which is so much larger in New York than in Mississippi.
>Stephens-Davidowitz noted that a woman's asking Google this question doesn't mean her husband is necessarily gay or bisexual. Again, it's the consistent patterns among various data sets that permit him to offer the conclusions. The fact that he saw more men searching for casual encounters with men in these places, fewer men looking for long-term relationships with men, and more women searching for answers about whether their husbands are gay added up to something. Stephens-Davidowitz determined that, on Facebook (which is not anonymous, and where users can identify their sexual orientation), about half of gay men nationally do not identify publicly as gay or bisexual. In more conservative places, again using Mississippi as an example, that figure goes up to 80%.
Counter to the popular linear theory of currency progression, barter is a system that exists when there is little trust between the engaging parties. When there is trust, credit systems appear, even in primitive societies.
So in a complete societal breakdown, you and some guy you meet on the road might barter some food for medicine while holding shotguns on each other for fear of theft. You probably won't be holding a gun on your father-in-law if he wants to buy some of that medicine from you, and if he currently has nothing you want in trade you will still give him the medicine he needs because he's part of your communal support system and it's understood that he will owe you something in return, specified or unspecified, at a later date.
The Plot Against the King by Kash Patel is what I had in mind, but is admittedly a pro-Trump book. I thought it was a pro-Democrat book.
I used my last Audible credit on a book called Unholy about why white evangelicals like Donald Trump.
And, as you might expect, it pretty much boils down to "they're racist."
However, one of the later chapters was really interesting. It outlines how this new love by the Christian right for Putin and Orban and authoritarians in former Soviet states has actually been planned ever since the fall of the Soviet Union.
Basically, the white Christian crowd has kind of given up on the United States and Western Europe because they feel that liberal democracies are just morally bankrupt...in other words they realize that they're the minority and hate it. Major figures in in Christian right-wing think tanks, though, immediately saw the fall of the USSR as an opportunity to expand the influence of Christian nationalism. That people who share their beliefs could be the ones to fill the power void in Eastern Europe. As a result, they've been having conferences there and supporting far-right candidates in former Soviet countries since at least the early 2000s.
This was planned!
It sounds kind of convoluted, what I didn't realize before this book, was that the white Evangelical crowd still has the concept of Christendom.
That's the kind of thing I think about hearing in a Middle Ages period piece.
They, however, still think in that way.
They see an alliance of theocratic Christian nations against Islam, but also liberal democracy...and they are actively working toward and cheering the downfall of democracy. Yes, even the the countries that they live in and even as they claim their ardent patriots and love America and love freedom...they are hoping for the downfall of American democracy.
I believe it's from this book of his, Anti-Semite and Jew. This is the book with this other famous quote about anti-Semitism, "If the Jew did not exist, the anti-Semite would invent him."

For a possibly more accessible approach (without my having read your recommended book), there is Stephen Fry's (yes, that Stephen Fry) "Mythos."
Greek myths are full of Twilight Zone stories about people whose names have become adjectives: Sisyphus, Narcissus, Arachne, Hercules/Heracles. This book was my gateway into a lifelong fascination with mythology.
My copy has this cover which is also pretty snazzy https://www.amazon.com/When-Prophecy-Fails-Leon-Festinger-ebook/dp/B07W9GS254. It's honestly eerie how the unfolding of the cult in the book matches how Qanon has progressed beat for beat, from the goalpost moving to the fanaticism.
I hope this excellent news doesn't make anyone think Commander Valiant Thor is just a ruthlessly efficient executioner. There is much more to him than that. From the blurb of his book Valiant Thor's Book of Vril: How to Live Long and Prosper:
>When the noted thinker, author, and philanthropist, Commander Valiant Thor, dictated this book over a half-century ago (in Earth years), he was just settling into his role as commander of the Venusian forces on our planet. He had actually put in many decades on Earth prior to that, although he was not, as they say, truly “in charge.”

Or this book:
https://www.amazon.com/How-Civil-Wars-Start-Stop/dp/0593137787
The author uses the Rwandan Genocide as one example of how polarization like we see in the US now can easily lead to civil war and genocide, and the parallels between happened in Rwanda and also Bosnia are striking.
The most frightening part for me was how quickly these went from false allegations against the newly declared "outsiders" (who had existed in harmony with the attackers for centuries) to exterminating them. According to the book in Bosnia this was started by a group of less than ten people who deliberately incited this violence and it spread like wildfire.
This is a particularly harrowing account of that:

pseudoarchaeology generally means alternative theories about history. it can be done poorly e.g. ancient aliens where it's just wild drive-by speculation, or it can be supported by research and evidence. there are a lot of pretty wild threads to follow.
like consider that anatomoically modern humans have been around for 300,000 years with the exact same mental capabilities as us. the currently accepted timeline has humans dicking around doing nothing more complex than hunting/gathering for 290,000 years, and then we went from cavemen to space exploration, 5G wireless, and cryptocurrency in 10,000 years. mix in evidence that the pyramids are WAY older than generally accepted and you've got some fun stuff to expore.
I would suggest not trying to win an argument using rationality. You'll just get frustrated. I think the approach outlined in Mick West's book is the best you can do. What I got out of it (and I'm sure this is a pretty pale summary) is the following, and it might be mixed with other suggestions I've heard:

It’s funny that Zechariah Sitchin’s the 12th Planet is now being adopted by the Qs. I read those books in the early/mid 90s and thought it was a fun sci-fi romp paraded as ALT-TRUTH. Although, that makes sense why the Qs would embrace it.

Tortilla chips + refried beans + salsa. None of them require refrigeration unless you open them, and they last for months.

"Tier 4B", a.k.a. "Us, the internet group". That's a standard, and very old, element of it all. These emails have been due to be sent any day soon now for years and years. There's an elaborate fantasy narrative about exactly how this mythical "redeeming" is going to take place (down to advice on what way to dress when you go to your local "redemption center").
Usually, the narrative is that Tiers 1 to 3 (basically: very large state and institutional investors) already have had the vast amounts of Iraqi dinars they owned exchanged at the new rate, all in total secrecy. Sometimes Tier 4A (large private investors or syndicates) is claimed to also already have been paid. Tier 4B (small individual investors) is the only group which actually exists: they're the idiots who fell for the scam, forever waiting for the notifications which will always arrive next week. Or at the latest, the week after that.
Somebody even used "Tier 4B" as a book title:

Anyway none of this has anything to do with HCQ, obviously, but this home remedy is actually really interesting to me as someone who studies nutrition. I do wonder about the heat stability of these substance though
But all that to say your Grandma should be just fine and it might actually benefit her

Is this the kind of radioactivity that basically bounces around in DNA causing extreme damage?
The bracelet is still on sale on Amazon UK. It’s strange that there is a user question, since 2/2021, asking “are these radioactive ones that thought emporium made a video on?”
People are just afraid of realizing their religion is just as bunk as the others they don’t believe in. Most of them don’t even know the foundations nor dynamics of their religion. A lot of religious texts are thinly veiled polemics about whatever current day figure or group or culture they are raking against. This shit with Q would fit right in with the existing bible. Revalation was the creative writings of people feeling the weight of a society during. That’s all that was and that’s all this Q stuff is. A lot of people here have a shocking lack of understanding of class dynamics and the ways the failures of the economic base expressing itself through the superstructure.
I would like to suggest the book “Behind the myths: foundations of Judaism, Christianity and Islam by John Pickard . It is an excellent book and provides a materialist analysis of historical and social basis for these religions.
Also: Cloudflare has an online abuse report tool here. I'd never recommend clicking on that big green "Click here to submit an abuse report", and noting "Violent Threats and Harassment", and filling out that form noting the URL's evidence and the "other evidence" being a description on how this is a revival of sitebanned ex-customer 8chan, and tickyboxing "Please forward my report to the website hosting provider". Nope, I'd never recommend that; that would be alt-bad!
I'd also never, ever recommend going to Name(dot)Com's abuse report form and selecting "Other" for type of infringement and giving the rundown in "Additional Information" about how 8kun is a continuation of 8chan and has had evidence of being used for the same sorts of activity during the very brief periods it's been up. Nope, I'd not recommend that--that'd be alt-bad!
The main website had 2.25M visitors on May (up from 780.000 in January), every answer is "too many".
https://www.similarweb.com/website/qanon.pub/
The main problem -for me- is "how many people are resharing pizzagate/qanon content without even knowing it".
I had far-left friends sharing QAnon content and their bs documentaries like "Out of Shadows".
But hey. Roger Stone said it clearly: "the far left and far right are saying the same thing".
If anyone had anymore doubts who's behind QAnon..
“Conspiracy Theorists Have a Fundamental Cognitive Problem, Say Scientists”
they created this strategy with napoleon, it is not important that the proof supplied is true, what matter is that the proof can be seen as saying something real that gets an aura of prophecy even if it is a forgery. i read that about the testament of Peter the great and "the protocols" there is a good book about those tactics. Agents Of Deceit - Frauds, Forgeries And Political Intrigue Among Nations
This wasn't Ron apparently. He reported this account to Parler as an imposter. He has never had a Parler account and has warned his followers to avoid it because it's "compromised". He was mainly posting on Twitter, but since he got the boot from there, he's now only posting on his Gab account and has announced that's the only place he'll be posting for now on.
I assure you, the shirts are cheaper than that. 3.25 USD a shirt, and I didn't even check for a wholesaler. This bastard must be turning a huge profit on each shirt.
Inconspicuous body cameras can be had for fifty dollars. Models like this one that hide mostly in a pocket or behind a collar and have the lens exposed at the top are very stealth as opposed to the chunkier, more obvious ones that cops wear. It's fucked that it's come to this, but it's cheap insurance for people who have become targets for the trumpentariat. Because you just know the trumpanzees and qtards will claim it's all "fake news" as they cackle with glee.
I'd bet money that, if you could get them to speak privately and candidly, a non-trivial number of Trump voters would tell you that they voted for him because "we can't say n***** or f***** in public anymore". This collection certainly bears that out.
So sorry to hear about challenges that you went through with your ex-boyfriend. Though it did not work at the time, your patience and compassion may be impactful to him upon reflection. Glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself, and to see that folks have already recommended QAnonCasualties, as that is certainly the place for the most support. Your description of things feeling "surreal" seems to be a very common experience for folks who have had loved ones begin believing in Q.
If you are interested, my organization is conducting an anonymous survey on the impacts and needs of people who believe in Q and their loved ones: Survey Link
We are looking for help from people like yourself in order to inform professional services to provide better support in this area.
My wife was telling me about some article that claimed it wasn't just a blood moon, it's a "Super Wolf Blood Moon". As ludicrous as that sounds, google the phrase and you'll find quite a few mainstream sites talking about it.
Okay, but writers use sheath all the time. It is a word that is used. So yes, maybe your joke didn't land as well as you hoped, smartass.
I've never heard anyone call themselves "half-Canadian" before. Which half, the top or the bottom?
