There's a much bigger story to be told about how surveillance is a baked in core feature from the outset in Silicon Valley - whereas these lads make out that the only problem is when Big Gubbmint is involved. Yasha Levine wrote a book about this that was pretty good and certainly more enlightening than anything that came out of Snowden/Greenwald, but it didn't get half the attention ... for some reason.

Most recently read Emily O'Reilly's book about Veronica Guerin prompted by the terrible movie being on TV. Was just googling and the extracts online looked intriguing, it turns out that O'Reilly pulls no punches here, laying bare both Guerin's own issues, the Indo's editorial policies and the sanctimonious bullshit from those who insisted that the only way to tell the story was by making her in to a cartoon martyr.
