He's saying that if he needs to create new accounts with textnow he can use different randomly generated temp-mail.org email address to create them.
I think textnow might be cracking down on these trashmailers now though so don't expect this method to work forever.
Got one too. Reported the Telegram profile it linked me:
"CONGRATULATIONS. This text is from PriZm Therapeutics. Your RESUME was forwarded to us and your application was successfully reviewed. You made it to the Next step for the position of a Data Entry Clerk.. You are required to download and setup TELEGRAM on your app store (https://telegram.org/) and if you have one already, use it. Add (redacted) and connect with her for your interview. Your Job ID is (REQ-101). She will be expecting to hear from you soon. Best of luck!"
Mine wasn't at 2am, though, thankfully
Be safe out there folks
Hey there, this transaction may not even be a scam.
The person is a real person–their texts are blue, showing they have an iPhone and have a real cell phone number verified with Apple iMessage.
Ultimately, your friend sent them money with no strings attached on their end, so they ghosted you to get free profit.
The seller may even be selling a real cat—but she'll sell it to somebody else who demands to do all payment in real life, ensuring that they will see the cat and get the cat at the same time that they give exchange money.
It is a poor idea to transfer money to anyone unless using a service with buyer protection like eBay, PayPal, Venmo Purchase Protection, Facebook Marketplace, etc.
What did your friend use to send the money? Can they try getting a refund by submitting a scam report? Here is a page from Craigslist which has helpful tips for anytime someone is dealing virtually. https://www.craigslist.org/about/scams

If u want a NordVPN account, go to , then click NordVPN, then click generate. Scroll down a lil bit and then click access with free ads. Click the button that says "show advertisements," and then exit out. Then, it'll generate a free NordVPN account for u so u don't have to pay. Thank me later.
that is so horrible!! my mom nearly got scammed the same way but she called my brother before sharing her screen because she thought that was fishy. She's 64. Awful that older people are being targeted like that!! I since stuck a spam call blocker on her phone but that doesn't necessarily protect against these more complex scams. What was your response to try and protect against this for your grandma? Interested in how other people attack the problem
