About this image, the artist says, "What if the British Empire didn't collapse after WW2 but spread to the whole world and beyond..?"
I like it because it conjures up feelings of ominous danger. At least to me. But then you see that couple in the far-left of the image, just sitting there, casually taking in the whole scene with no hint of alarm or care, suddenly the whole pic takes a different turn. It's analogous to how technology can, with familiarity, lead to a kind of shrugging acceptance rather than trepidation.
I'm working on new header art for this subreddit. It'll be multiple images instead of one. If you have any favourites that you've seen in this subreddit, please share those URLs or send me a PM.

Yeah, thought it looks like Lego discontinued official support. You can DL version 4.3 on the official Lego site here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/ldd
Or version 4.3.12 is available on Softronic.com here: https://lego-digital-designer.en.softonic.com/
MLCAD and LDraw might be too old to even run on current OSes, I haven't checked.
Dear god gmax looks absolutely ancient. Its system requirements are hilarious.
Grab Blender, good lord. It'll be like moving from a Model-T to a spaceship.
If you want to scratch that Escape Velocity itch, download you Endless Sky, an open source clone. It's also on Steam. I've put several hours into it and really enjoy it. It scratches an itch!
Here is another picture of the same ship.
I love the design of this thing. The disk thrusters on either end look efficient and make the ship look very maneuverable.

I think it looks a robust tough little beast. USS Shran. Amazon.
Awesome ship design, I love it!
Although it is unrealistic because (take it from a German) German Military Technology never works. Here's a joke list of complaints about German spaceships that I just made up:
-Ship Computer is running on Windows 7
-Pressure Seal Material is actually made from Adidas Shoes and does not provide any pressure sealing capacity
-Airlock Doors secured with a Love Lock from Cologne
-BMW's Warp Drive is actually just a single airplane propeller that has "Legit Warp Drive, don't sue!" written on it
-Escape Pods require evacuees to manually type their ID Card info
-Lidl's Food Rations are expired since 2018
-Rheinmetall's Heavy Gun Turrets fire inwards
-Point Defense Cannons do not shoot ammunition, but instead transmit a message saying "I do not want this, stop now or I will call the Polizei."
-Armor Plating is actually just Styrofoam painted grey
-Internal Comms Networks are secured with a Trial Version of NordVPN
-Torpedo Launchers fire Submarine Torpedoes, with a Note stuck to them saying "Same Thing, right?"
The Ikea Detolf is the go-to entry-level display case over in r/Gunpla - it's relatively inexpensive and easy to light. For smaller kits you can either add shelves using clamps on the vertical rods and locally sourced glass for the shelves, or with smaller acrylic shelves.
I used this fabric marker. It's pretty amazing that it doesn't bleed.
