Curious, as a horde assaulted my base, I let Lily facetank them to see what happened. That's her at the bottom of that pile having her face eaten.

As bad as I felt watching her get munched, I nearly died laughing when an NPC ran up and peered out the window at her, refusing to help.

Twice.

She survived, though, without our intervention.

Edit: I do want to note that the next game (for Xbox One/PC) will have multiplayer and that they've hired someone specifically to do so. But we won't see it in the current State of Decay or any DLCs.

If you download the community editor you can revive him. But if you don't find him and loot his backpack first you will lose the gear he was carrying if you do bring him back.

yes, for sure there will be a free title update. I was told that there has to be to prepare the State of Decay title on XBOX 360 for the Lifeline DLC.^1 Vehicle inventory will be included in this update^2

Only thing is that’s the FN commands don’t match I got a wrong version but it’s not a huge issue.

Your 1050 is above minimum spec for both, so while you might need to turn down some graphics a touch both should still run. SoD2 is an Unreal 4 engine game, so should run about as well as any other UE4 game. SoD1 was built on CryEngine 3. Like /u/tryFindingQuiet, I played SoD1 on Xbox (360, in fact). And though I'm playing SoD2 on PC, I've got a significantly better GPU so I can't really say how well it will work for you specifically. I can only talk in generics.

As for which one to play, that depends. SoD1 had an offline mechanic, where in-game time would progress while you were gone (capped at around 7 days of offline, so your base won't fall about entirely). IMHO, that added unnecessary anxiety to the game, and every play session was basically, "Do one thing that needs to get done to progress the plot, then spend the next hour cleaning up everything around the base, boosting morale, fixing everything that can be fixed" before logging off so that the next time I logged in things wouldn't have gone to shit. It's an interesting idea, and there were some guardrails to prevent it from getting too far out of hand, but I prefer SoD2's approach. Story-wise, you won't miss anything playing 2 without playing 1, though the Heartland DLC is set in the same area as the first game and has some callbacks to it. I don't think it's unplayable if you don't know the prior game.

SoD2 is an Unreal engine 4 game. Meaning, it was created using that engine, which for the most part, is derived from C++, or upon 'blueprints' that are built off of C++.

Basically, you use UE4 to avoid having to code everything from scratch (in this case) using C++. You can still add your own bits and bobs and whistles, but it's still pretty much C++ the whole way through.

i use wemod but you could use cheat engine , we mod trys to get you to make a account you can just use a fake email it has a lot of games and is pretty easy to use compared to cheat engine. https://www.wemod.com/

fixed the issue in case anyone else is having the same problem

Open the Services desktop app, which you can easily find with the Cortana search bar or by using Windows Key + R and then type “services.msc”

Find the “Connected User Experiences and Telemetry” service in the list an open its property sheet.

And on Services anything that says Xbox just make sure its running automatic and not Manual.

For me a program called " Spybot Anti-Beacon " was blocking Telemetry so i had to got o services and start it

You may be right but I’m not talking about hacking the actual game just making a copy of the game saves so we can restore them. I know for a fact not all the files they install are write protected or encrypted because I made some changes to the GameUserSettigs.ini file located at: /Users/your_username/App Data/Local/Packages/Microsoft.Dayton_1.3137.99.2_x64/Local State/State of Decay 2/Saved/Config/UWP/

I haven’t bothered to try and find where the game stores its saves but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a location that isn’t encrypted. Which if that’s the case makes it very possible to do it.

There is a free program by NirSoft called Folder Changes that might help.

Right now I just want to play it every time I have a free moment. When I get my first community up and running strong maybe I’ll do a little digging around.

Windows 10 is the reason. One big concern is how much data is sent back to their servers when using Windows 10. That's why you saw software such as this https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 coming to life.

It gets placed into a protected folder (can't seem to copy files out of it) on whatever drive you installed it to. For example, mine is "E:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Dayton_1.3137.99.2_x64__" followed by some removed characters that might be a unique identifier so I didn't include it.

If you have 64-bit windows, search for the exact file "StateOfDecay2-UWP64-Shipping.exe" and that will get you inside the "StateOfDecay2\Binaries\UWP64" folder.

I use the search tool Everything (https://www.voidtools.com/) for years and it's pretty amazing to find things like this, as you can just search a partial path like "State of Decay 2" and it'll show you what's there.
