Welcome aboard friend, I guess the thing I'll throw in is that we have an awesome radio commentator named Dave Mishkin.
You can listen to radio broadcasts of the games for free on iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/live/lightning-power-play-6683/
I also make highlight videos with his calls after every win. Here's one from the win over the Avs where Drouin scored that crazy goal in OT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2VusPxOBXQ
Hopefully the guys can keep their hot streak going and make your time here exciting :)
It comes out on September 14th.
You can pre-order and get the 2020 included for free
I’m gonna do one month of protonvpn (their plus package should work) to test out and it works I’ll do a yearly subscription for the savings. According to their website it should work and some brief googling made it seem like others got it to work. But with vpn I feel like it’s always YMMV.
I think you can just add espn plus and hulu tv to you disney plus package. go to the site and see. https://www.disneyplus.com/
I have really only used my espn plus for streaming soccer games that are not on tv anyway. You can prolly get better feel for what it has at https://www.espn.com/espnplus/
I should have said had it instead of have it when tlking about espn+ I let mine expire when covid kicked in and all the soccer was canceled since thats about all i used it for. I am waiting to see how much of the nhl they are gonna show to decide for sure if i am gonna do just the disney + or the package of all three. I have never tried hulu tv so i dont have any idea what it has.
Make sure to check your router and the VPN service you go with to make sure it will work. Like OP I went with NordVPN for this season, but unfortunately my router isn't capable of it (not with stock firmware anyway). Also looked into setting it up on my Xbox but it seemed like a pain in the ass, so I mostly watch using a fire stick which has a Nord app.
Most of the bigger VPN providers are compatible with various devices including Android-based TVs which I would include Shield TV. NordVPN and PIA are both available via the Play store for example. You could also install the VPN software on your router directly if you really wanted to so all Internet traffic flows through your VPN provider. This can be an issue if you work from home and need a steady external IP for firewall type shit.
Oh man, I wanna say he's around 12 pounds but I haven't weighed him recently.
Also, here's the Amazon Link.
Mullvad is what we wish every service was. Simple interface, cheap and does exactly what you want. No email needed, no subscription, pay as you go or buy however many months. No pricing incentive for a subscription, just the lowest price they offer. No other product offerings.
Literally 3 mins to set up and half of that is making a payment.
We brought our 2 year old to a game for the 2021 playoffs with the goal to get through 10-20 minutes of real time in our seats. We made it 15 and then walked around for the rest of the first two periods, left at second intermission. Loved the organ, Tesla coils, the amount of people, and looking out through windows from the mezzanine. Just know your kid and if it’s an appropriate thing to bring them too at that age. Remember that for some people, this is more than being a fan and they might not appreciate a toddler distracting from watching the game.
Used these and they worked great! Baby BANZ Earmuffs Infant Hearing... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ANXYBRQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
>I found VPN rarely worked. I think they often knew the IPs of the VPN servers already. (At least last year)
I am using NordVPN and it worked for almost every game last season except for the California games (Anaheim and Kings). Then it depended on which server you logged into; Seattle worked a number of times, Washington another time. Actually, the LA blackouts do not matter to me any way as I'm not staying up.
When you wash, don't forget to scrub the skin. Use a conditioner. Beard oil can help, but I suggest a balm. Something with beeswax can help keep it from getting too frizzy and has natural smoothing properties. Don't forget to keep the neck area and the area around the beard trimes, as the fresh growth can cause discomfort if you're not typically a beard grower.
Use a brush - here's a cheap one - after you apply product and preferably every morning to help keep the hairs in line (again we're trying to avoid it curling around and poking you) and to distribute your natural oils evenly.
Worth investing in as you'll hopefully be cultivating you majestic mane for another month or so.
I've been using it since the beginning of the season and haven't had that issue. Express VPN worked about 50% of the time on a firestick and 100% of the time on a Mac/PC but NordVPN (knock on wood) so far has worked 100% of the time on every device I have.
I use Unlocator smart dns. It works for nhl and mlb last few seasons. Takes a few minutes to set up on your router but once it’s done it works well. You’ll always have a few times where you may need to open and close the app to get it to work but overall it’s good. And you can actually use NHL TV instead of espn+ which I like because nhl tv has better playback features, notable being able to start from beginning on a game in progress.
With all the bullshit this season I am tempted to take this route. I am paid up on NordVPN for a long while. Only thing holding me back is how clumsy it is getting a streaming site to load on my Chromecast. I either run into issues with ads popping up mid video, or some variant of weird formatting with black bars around the image/missing scoreboards etc.
4th puck I was looking at upside-down, it's actually #32 on the side with 2 signatures, Corey Scwab (G) not #25, the signature is dead-on from what I see online, can't mistake the huge "C" he signs with.
other might be Aaron Gavey? but I'm not sure
Booo! yea, i've gone to nhlstreams sometimes if its just shitty, but not ideal, i need that security blanket of not having to worry about a stream not being taken down
I think i'm just gonna try the hulu thing with spotify since its so cheap right now.
Not sure if it'd work if you started a spotify account, and then bought hulu through there but here's the link about the 99cent hulu for 3 months might be cheaper
No experience with Surfshark, but if the stream doesn't load then ESPN probably recognizes the IP is a VPN. If Surfshark let's you pick another location, I'd try that. I've been streaming NFL Gamepass via Private Internet Access for almost 10 years, just subbed to ESPN+ this season for NHL and no issues.
I’m using NordVPN to watch lightning games on ESPN+. Works fine, just make sure you connect to a non-Florida server before you open the ESPN app, it may cache your location.
I’m using a Firetv stick. Apple TV doesn’t have a vpn app.
To add to this, most VPN providers will have Streaming Optimized servers to help with being black listed (large range of IPs that change regularly). Private Internet Access provides this for its US East and US West server locations - NordVPN and ExpressVPN probably have a similar option. It will have to be connected from a non-mobile device I believe though as mobile apps will require location services to be enabled which will render the VPN useless.
If your VPN provider offers a Smart DNS option, consider looking into that also.
Ever since cutting cable a few years ago, I've been using Unlocator to bypass blackouts. After using it for NHL TV for years, it took a little bit of time to get it to work with ESPN+ but I eventually got it in time to watch tonight's comeback.
Yes, I've been facing the same issue lately with yonder. I switched to unlocator smart dns and it works just fine so far. Seems like something is wrong with yonder’s servers. I Submitted a ticket on this, no response yet. I think I'm sticking with Unlocator this season.
Yeah, I can try it. I actually had more luck with the GeoDNS service than I did with VPNs... the VPNs would get blacklisted after awhile and required various things to correct. I guess I was just wondering if I'll need to pay for that extra service again; sounds like it. Though it worked great for the NHL app, they haven't approved it working for ESPN+ yet. I had used Yonder. Sounds like maybe I could switch to Unlocator.
No prob. there are a ton of VPN providers out there now, im sure if you watch anyone on youtube these days one of their sponsors is a VPN provider (PIA, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, etc.). with PIA its just an app that you can download on your phone or computer and its easy enough to use.

They’re funko pops. They make little dudes for a lot of tv shows, movies, comics, etc. they started doing sports, and this is their first NHL run. :)
