Yeah. He's just a kid, he needs some serious guidance from, you know, mature adults. TRP isn't going to help him get better with women. I mean look at this:
>I've been checking tons of RSD videos and reading books about pick up. Mystery Methods, Models by Mark Manson, and Dang Bang By Roosh V. In the moment, I completely forget everything that I have learned. So I will need more practice in order for me to integrate that into my natural skills.
He's reading a bunch of books, expecting life to work like a standardized test that he needs to study for. Why? Because he's a high schooler and that's how he's overcame every other obstacle in his short life.
I have great respect for a nurse of any pay grade, from RN to LVN, and especially including the CNAs that have to do a lot of the most grueling and unpleasant work needed to maintain patients.
I have far more respect for all of these professions than I do for some sneering IT douchebag with a god complex that has a copy of The Art of War next to his Atlas Shrugged.
I accept the bait.
>Tell me, what is the word for someone who doesn't like cats? Who doesn't like black people? Who doesn't like Indians? Who hates cars? There are none.
Ailurophobia would do or the route of the greek base miso-, giving misocattus but that sounds bad. Racism would certainly work for the second and third, its a pretty well known word and isn't exactly a fucking stretch to get there but for something more scientific is pointless unless he is trying to define a very specific group.
If by 'Indians' he is referring to those from India (and not native americans/first nations, because this pissed off mod sounds like pissed off angry american) then its someone of a mess scientifically given the substantial racial divides within India so it would be a simple national origin divider giving misoindioic. Or again, racism works too.
While amaxophobia would be fear of riding in cars it isn't quite what we are after, again going the greek miso- route to keep it the same gives us a range of easy options. Going the latin route is much better and we get the nice word autoodium, (or something close to that, my latin is very iffy at best) if you accept 'auto-' as substituting for 'auto-mobile' and not just meaning self. If not, then he is just hating himself and I am alright with that.
There. That was long and pointless.
TL:DR I don't blame you. TRP mod is a dumb shit.

> other foundational MPR texts like How to Win Friends and Influence People and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Wait are those actually in the sidebar? Because those are actually good books. Sometimes that sub impresses me.
I can't help but notice that nobody has rushed to put his "book" in the sidebar, with all the other foundational MPR texts like How to Win Friends and Influence People and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
This site defines hate speech as " speech that attacks, threatens, or insults a person or group on the basis of national origin, ethnicity, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. "
So, when they insult us based on our gender, that's hate speech.
If we insult them based on their opinions and ideas and purported behaviors, that's hateful speech. We are discussing how much we hate them, true, but that isn't what that term means.
Now, I don't hate them personally. I just don't think they matter enough to create any real emotion in me.
I'm sure there are people who genuinely hate them here. While that's probably unnecessary, that isn't discrimination. Calling it discrimination is some pussy-ass, socially inept, retard, virgin loser, mommy issue having nonsense.
Oh god damn it. I hate how they always refer to The Art of War. I had to design an Art of War poster for a play a few years ago and now every time I see it I cringe so hard.
The Divorce Surge Is Over, but the Myth Lives On
Huh, TIL. Not a story that you hear often. I wonder how many of these zombie ideas of doom and gloom dating back to some past crisis are still circulating.
-quietly pushes her copy of The Art of War out of sight-
In my defense, I don't own a copy of Atlas Shrugged.
I'm also not in IT.
I don't sneer, but I probably am a douchebag with a god complex.

>swallowed the redpill
Yea PPD it's like trying to find the middle ground between Neo-Nazis and people who are against racial genocide. You're not going to find a good debate or solution there.
Aristotle talked about this in the Nicomachean Ethics, he said that virtue is the golden mean between extremes, but even he realized that this doesn't apply to everything noting the exceptions of murder and adultery. Nowadays we might compare it to heroin or meth and say there is no moderate use of certain drugs that is a healthy part of a good life.
Point 1: List of books terps read: Thus Spoke Zarathustra
The Republic
1984
Animal Farm
The Prince
Brave New World
The Art of War
& the trp sidebar pickup artist/reviving your sex life books.
Do they ever mention any others? Seriously, their literature seems to end at high school required reading and self-help for dying relationships.
Point 2: You married a woman who doesn't like to read! You did it! Why didn't you marry a woman who does read books?
Instead of taking responsibility for marrying someone they didn't really know or respect, they extrapolate their wives' faults to all women. It's not their fault that they chose boring people as spouses- that would mean they made a poor choice in selecting a spouse. No.....they can't admit they messed up. Much better to whine about how AWALT and they couldn't have found a literate, interesting spouse.
Yes
EDIT: proof
Not that any of this matters. If the sub was 100% women that wouldn't delegitamize anything you see here. Gender, as always, is a useless metric for judging a group of people.
You should come join us at /r/Stoicism. We're normally not overrun by TRPs :(
I'd recommend starting with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius (I'd recommend the Gregory Hays version, it's much simpler, effective language in my view) and A Guide to the Good Life by William Irvine, which I think has been somewhat controversial, but provides a really interesting "guide" to practicing Stoicism, as opposed to a series of reflections from a Stoic (which is what Meditations is).
I ran it thru tineye but couldn't find anything. This is either an elaborate ruse or the work of a seriously deluded person (who is supposedly the father of seven children)
Ugh. Why do these fucking morons worship The Art of War?
>"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool, or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live I will kill you, but if I die you are forgiven'. Such is the rule of honor. " Sun Tzu, The Art of War. >Those who are unable to defend their rights/safety of their own volition would do well to form strong and lasting relationships with those who can and will, and cherish them.
We have strong and lasting relationships, it's called a society. What we need to do is improve our society so everyone benefits from its protections.
Well, I'm a woman and I learned how to have self confidence with a variety of books, lectures, and YouTube videos. If TRP was somehow the only thing that goes into depth about it, what I've accomplished would be impossible because vagina.
TRP firstly doesn't go into depth on building confidence so much as building a ridiculous masculine persona, secondly there are TONS of approaches to building confidence that go into great depth (most influential personally is Mindset by Carol Dweck. Life changing. Also, if you'd like to go on a Youtube binge of Noah Elkrief, his videos are excellent for helping you to completely change how you are looking at your problem/s. You're doubtfully even looking at the problem the right way, particularly if you've convinced yourself that TRP, self-important amateurs with questionable mental health who are all afraid of psychologists, is solving your problems).
Also confidence is really a bunch of skills and thinking tools that need to be developed over time and refined over years of practice, which can be an exciting journey of self discovery and learning. So the answer is, there are a LOT of approaches to building self confidence, and you will benefit from working with several different ideas and practicing different skills. It's not a freaking on/off button, it's a process.
I love that God Told Him So isn't even vaguely hyperbole, it's a quote from Pat Robertson that actually OMITS the part where he thinks feminism also encourages women to kill their children.
> do you think it's always been there and the internet just made it louder?
Yes. I knew men that said all the stuff TRPs say now, when I was a kid in the 80s. These are just old ideas in a new package, like the 1000th reprint of Think and Grow Rich with a new foreword tacked on.
The internet does allow them to reach a wider audience of young, isolated men, but this is all the stuff that conservatives have always (not so secretly) shared with each other. #AllConservatives as well. Even the precious Goldwater wrote this kind of junk in his day.

1. to disagree with a true alpha redpiller, a very unwise decision
2. to make a solid argument that a true alpha redpiller cannot refute. This is usually followed by the alpha dismissing the argument and feeling insecure
I've said it before (elsewhere) and I'll say it again:
Any group of people that whine about how it was better when the system was rigged in their favor would die a coward's death if they had to compete/earn what they want in a laissez faire meritocracy.
> Isn't it possible that women are more likely to cheat due to science?
No. Because, in America at least, men cheat more than women. If you go to Google Scholar instead of a tabloid, type in "infidelity statistics", one of the top results should be "Sexual infidelity among married and cohabiting Americans" by Treas and Giesen in the Journal of marriage and family, 2000.
> Men engage in more extramarital sex than women...
> Other analyses (not shown) demonstrated that controlling for permissiveness eliminated most gender differences in infidelity: Because men’s sexual values are more permissive, men faced fewer impediments to infidelity.
> Gender has been the most commonly studied variable in extramarital behavior. The typical finding has been that more men than women have engaged in infidelity (Greeley, 1994; Lau-mann et al.,1994; Wiederman, 1997). Furthermore, men report a greater number of liaisons (Lawson & Samson, 1988; Spanier & Margolis, 1983) and express greater interest in infidelity (Buunk & Bakker, 1995; Seal, Agostinelli, & Hannett, 1994; Thompson, 1984).
> My ex-girlfriend said she wanted to keep her maiden name
> I said, "cool, you dont have to take my name, and we dont have to get married".
Hoo boy. Here is a non-comprehensive list of words for that OP.
Also kinda strikes me as someone I'd read about over on /r/raisedbynarcissists... "Oh, you won't do what I want you to do? Well that's fine, but in turn let me freak the fuck out and stretch the limits of extreme over reacting."
Sun Zi wrote The Art of War in an incredibly unstable period in Chinese history where the central government was failing and the result was that the country literally split up to dozens of little states that were constantly fighting between themselves, borders were continuously being changed and mass murders were becoming a sort of norm.
There's a reason this kind of world never became the ideal of Chinese society and there was always a favoritism of strong central government and scholarly pursuit over military one.
This is probably the best post I've seen in TRP in a long time. THE BEST.
I knew it was going to be good when it started with a quote from The Art of War.
Did anyone else catch that #1 basically summed up women as dogs? Like literally. That's how I train my dog. Positive and negative associations and so forth.

https://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/guide/circumcision
You are correct, if you read the article there’s a note that says “Note: Some studies show that good hygiene can help prevent certain problems with the penis, including infections and swelling, even if the penis is not circumcised. In addition, using a condom during sex will help prevent STDs and other infections.” My bad for misreading that.
Although above the note, it says it lowers the risk of cancer. Idk how much it would prevent cancer but it could be really low to the point where it is negligible.
This is the interview in question, published on July 31st. Warning: Gene talks about suicide and is a giant douche, so I actually recommend against reading.

>I stop suddenly and I say to her, "You . . . are worse than a WHORE!"
>"Whaddya mean?"
>"You got me to buy these sandwiches, and what am I going to get for it? Nothing!"
>"Well, you cheapskate!" she says. "If that's the way you feel, I'll pay you back for the sandwiches!"
>I called her bluff: "Pay me back, then."
>She was astonished. She reached into her pocketbook, took out the little bit of money that she had and gave it to me. I took my sandwich and coffee and went off.

I enjoyed seeing this article in NYT and then this article on reddit later. I know accusation != guilty but we did just elect a man who has said terrible shit about women and men (men shouldn't be involved in childcare comes to mind).
I know it's being spammed everywhere but the whole, "When you're used to privilege, equality feels like oppression" seems to ring true here. Women are upset that they are still not given the same respect as men, whereas men feel like victims because they have to respect women.
Every time I read shit like this it basically boils down to, "I can't treat women like I want to treat them and I have to respect them like humans, woe is me."
Read James Oliver Horton's "Defending the Manhood of the Race: The Crisis of Citizenship in Black Boston at Midcentury". Specifically, look at this book:
https://books.google.com/books?id=wzBiXWCbmzYC
and search for "Fitzhugh." On pages 12-13, he notes how a proslavery author, George Fitzhugh, compared all blacks (male and female) to a white man's wife and claimed all blacks, male and female, would be dependent "like women."
Also see page 150 of this book:
https://books.google.com/books?id=eD3SZTAWct4C
Where the author notes that black males were portrayed as effeminate or at least emasculated in antebellum Southern literature, partially to justify slavery and partially to justify masters' anxieties about their own masculinity.
Hope these help!

>A press release postulates that, “The survey suggests that women are now looking for a mate who is in a creative or caring field rather than a high-powered banker. Although earning power may be important when choosing a mate, job satisfaction, authority, plus concern with the human condition rate highly as turn-ons with both men and women when it comes to sex appeal amongst today’s successful professionals."
Seems like men like women with professional careers as well.
Most idiots like to clothe themselves in something simple that they have done above others. The Art of War isn't a very heavy book and even people that aren't very educated or intelligent could pick it up and learn something meaningful from it.
I'm very surprised TRPers don't hold up Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings (which is very popular over at RooshV's neomasculinity cult) since it would apply to their lives better. Oh wait, they're cultish idiots.
UPDATE: there is a source about this on the front page of reddit. when anonymized women are found to be statistically significantly more aggressive then men. Holy fuck long url, let me fix that.
Women are just taught to feel guilt for being aggressive and therefore less aggressive if people know they are women or who they are was the conclusion.

Well, the dictionary definition of 'feminism' (according to http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/) is:
'The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.'
Of course there might be some crazy feminists that do hate all men, but they are a very small minority, and thus, do not represent feminism as a whole.
Just because the Muslim group ISIS has executed an American (RIP) and declared its hate for America does not mean all Muslims hate America and are into executions. Why is it different for feminists?
TL;DR
Feminists advocate for equality; the crazy man-haters everyone likes to talk about do not represent feminism as a whole.
You're right that Planned Parenthood performs about 300,000 abortions a year, but grossly wrong about the number of abortions performed worldwide: WHO estimates that every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions: http://www.worldometers.info/abortions.
So that means that PP is responsible for less than 1% of worldwide abortion.
The more you know.
I'm not really very tech-savvy, but I know it's possible to save a copy of a web page. Maybe we can do that and then upload the copy?
Unfortunately, I don't think it is all that new. I believe both Living Color and It's a Different World had skits parodying it.
I took an Ethics course in university as a "bird course". It turned out to be a very difficult, but interesting analytical philosophy course.
We did Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, Rene Descartes, Mill's Utilitarianism and The Categorical Imperative by Kant. There were a few others, but those were the most memorable.
The Categorical Imperative is beautiful, but probably unreadable to you (no offence - it's just a really dense read). Kant himself was a misogynist, so it's funny he wrote something perfectly supports feminism.
The irony is that if a big manly oak tree falls down it will fall down damn hard.
See? Being edgy is easy!
edit: I am pretty certain TRP is basically the opposite of How To Win Friends and Influence People
I'm at TBP because I used to subscribe to /r/seduction, but that place had just too much overlap with theredpill. It seems that a lot of people on Seddit just don't get it (even after reading Models by Mark Manson). I saw that theredpill didn't science and was conservative, and then I found this place.
Now I just hang out at /r/readthefaq.
>So because it's a journal specifically about women's psychology, it's a feminist journal? Okkkkaaaaaaay.

>Psychology of Women Quarterly ( PWQ ) is a feminist scientific journal
This is literally in the very first sentence of the journal giving a description of itself. You don't even read the sources you provided to me, yet in your prior post
>I accept or dismiss all studies based on how well they are performed, and whether or not they are performed with a clear bias.
You literally did not even read the links you gave me. You just looked up articles on Google Scholar that supported your claims and linked to me a bunch of abstracts to articles you haven't read. You didn't even bother to check the sources of the articles, otherwise you would know that Psychology of Women Quarterly by their own admission is a feminist journal.
>I have access
You have access, yet you didn't even know the very source you provided is a feminist journal by their own admission. Yeah sure.
By the way with your comment about going through your career being a scientist and not knowing the difference between whole numbers and fractions (you were saying this sarcastically), again you show you don't know what an irrational number is.
An irrational number is NOT a whole number. Whole numbers are the non negative integers. Irrational numbers are NOT integers. Also as I explained earlier, they aren't fractions either since by definition irrational numbers cannot be expressed as a quotient of two integers I.E. a fraction.
Come on, this is just embarrassing.
I did up posting a few sources later, actually. Like this one:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2011/jul/18/male-sexuality-desire
It openly admits that male sexuality is seen as a problem.

This book helped me become conversationally funnier, which is useful in attracting women. In particular, saying things that are slightly inappropriate is pretty easy. Then you can move onto harder stuff.
From my personal experience though, being more handsome, specifically losing weight, was more important than working on my personality.
I used to believe in this until I met a girl who showed me the power of spirituality and turned my world on its head. "The Truth" simply doesn't exist. Everyone is living in a dream. What's true for yourself can only be true for yourself and nobody else. TRP has a very shallow and bastardize understanding of The Matrix. TRP doesn't wake you up; it simply puts you in a different dream. However, I must thank TRP for giving me motivation for self improvement. After reading Waking Up by Sam Harris, I now feel that I finally woke up from a nightmare.
TRP is the hero some men deserve for the time, but not the one they need in the end.
While it sounds like you're probably looking for an alternative community, I'm going to assume you're still interested in self improvement and improving your luck with women. If so, I'd strongly recommend reading Models by Mark Manson. It's essentially a pickup book for people who respect women. As crazy as it sounds, it's probably the one seduction-oriented resource out there that I can reconcile with being a feminist.
The book's essential argument is that your luck with women will dramatically improve if you just be genuine and honest with them about who you are and what you want. If you're honest about your likes and dislikes and don't resort to silly psychological tricks to attract women, you're much more likely to attract people who are compatible with you. Of course, there are also sections on finding your passions and interests, staying fit, and even some rudimentary fashion advice. It teaches you to accept rejection as an easy way to know who is incompatible with you, and treat people kindly without expecting something in return.
My chances with women has improved dramatically since reading the book a few years back. I feel like it should be required reading for recovering redpillers.
Hahaha, holy shit, one of them recommended reading The Art of War to prepare himself for "battle."
Sorry, but your marriage is beyond saving if you can make that kind of suggestion with a straight face.
Sure, that's one thing. I'm thinking about the lies that are inherent in human society, in how we interact with each other and how we present ourselves.
If I were to buy a book on Kindle for you, would you read it? I'd love to have you read this, by Kurt Vonnegut a recently deceased but amazing author. http://www.amazon.com/Cats-Cradle-Novel-Kurt-Vonnegut/dp/038533348X
You anthropomorphize evolution too much.
Males valuing virginity is an adapted mating strategy to compensate for females' concealed ovulation. Concealed/cryptic ovulation obscures the paternity of the child (Mommy's baby and Daddy's maybe). Chastity provides a cue to the future paternity of a future child as a woman's proclivities toward chastity signaled her likely future fidelity.
The trend for men to value chastity more than women holds up worldwide, but cultures vary tremendously in the value paced on chastity. China, India, Indonesia, Iran put high importance on virginity while Sweden, Norway, Finland don't really care. However, in no case do women value chastity more than men.
For more information on this subject, I recommend reading Dr. David Buss' textbook on the subject. He is one of the leaders in the field. I've been lucky enough to hear him speak in person.
Which book? I have Rasputin: The Untold Story on my wishlist, but I'm waiting for it to go on sale.
Also you should totally use smile.amazon to buy books, even though it removes the link if I use that, but smile.amazon puts a percentage of the purchase towards a charity of your choice!
