Honestly, I don't give a fuck who posted it, what their agenda was, or how much of a "false flag" people say it is. It's just sick and is horrible for everyone involved.

This is the third woman in gaming to have to leave/flee somewhere because of death threats. At some point, you have to stop calling everything a false flag and realize that there's a problem.

Society has been telling men for nearly 20 years that they want them to be sensitive, emotionally available, connected to their partner, etc. And what's the end result? Don't kid yourself, they know damn well what's going on. They know they'll get reactions by their behavior, in fact they're banking on it. Anyone who's been on the internet for more than a day knows what will happen if, for instance I go into a chat. I tell others I will kill myself if someone says the word purple. How long before someone says it? Not because that person wants me to die, because I was asking for it.
They're also aware death threats aren't anything new or unique, they just use every day unfortunate behavior to try and paint GG as villains.

Gabe Newell got massively downvoted on his AMA because of him defending this move. And although I respect Gabe Newell for what he has done for PC gaming, monetizing mods is one of the dumbest, if not the dumbest move ever in gaming history. About ~~a month~~ 4 days ago someone leaked a large skype group simular to GJP, where a bunch of prominent content creators were seen manipulating reddit voting system to both promote their own stuff and shut down other people they may not like. Nothing has been done by subreddit moderators apart from a couple of account bans, excuses being "we forwarded it to admins but they do nothing" and "we don't have evidence and required data". A couple of days later suddenly they have the required data, simply posting links on twitter is now "evidence" of vote manipulation, criticism is "targeted harassment of moderators", and admins are no longer needed to enforce a subreddit wide content ban.
Personally, if previously I was inclining towards stupidity being the reason, now I have no doubt that corruption is taking place.

r/buttcoin and the legal subreddits had a field day with reddit notes.
The dude was fired almost immediately after they announced reddit notes. Apparently he was a total psycho who didn't do a single bit of work and was constantly working on his bitcoin project at work..... written in javascript of all languages.
Then they found his posts about how JS is the best language ever and going on huge tangents about it (which did nothing but point out what an idiot he was and how little he knew) among other things.
Then it was crossposted to a few programming subreddits where his code was not only torn apart, but it painted the image that he has no fucking clue how to code and that reddit apparently doesn't do a very good coding test when hiring people.
Then his personal posts were found and it turns out he's not only a bitcoin evangelist, but a complete nutcase.
He also posted on an alt account to askreddit on "what secret would ruin your life if it was found out?" about how he admits to not knowing what the fuck he is doing:

She's either trying to stir up shit, or has a martyr complex. The "navy seal" straight up tells her that his primary motivation is shitposting yet that still doesn't stop her from labeling GG as the cause.
I no longer feel that women can be trusted sufficiently for me to attempt to obtain a relationship with one of them; or that they would want a relationship with me even if I did. The psychopaths need inequality psychologically, to the same degree that the non-psychopaths need equality. The reasons why the psychopathic minority rule, despite their tiny population size, is firstly because most non-psychopaths do not want to take responsibility for their lives, and prefer to delegate their sovereignty to psychopaths, as the psychopaths have trained them to do. The second reason is that the non-psychopaths generally refuse to acknowledge the psychopaths' existence, or at least their existence in government. The non-psychopaths are desperate to believe that government is good, because if government was not good, then that would mean that the non-psychopaths would have to become self-responsible, and start looking after themselves.

Valve has so many issues it could have improved on, like greenlight, customer service and billing policies. Instead we were delivered this disaster of a program that only exists to further nickel and dime us for content that often should have been included in the original game. We're told to wait and see what happens, but we were told that about horse DLC, we were told that about kickstarter, and then early access. After so many times getting burnt, it's just hard to understand any explanation other than, "We want more money." And that sucks.

"Gaming journalists" always categorically have a problem with a system where gamers can actually express their "unpopular" actual opinions about a product. It makes them less relevant and makes it obvious that the gaming audience at large doesn't share their views on much of anything, from specific products to politics and their personal pet peeves. They have the same problem with "MetaCritic user score", which is another reason why they dislike it, it gives gamers a voice where they can actually express their opinions or protest.

Whether or not the Thumper guys think he's joking or serious, they're still helping him out and it's still unethical of him. It looks fishy as hell and creates an unquestionable conflict of interest; you can't ever let him write about that game now without disclosing that one time Rodgers publicly offered to "write 10,000 words about your game for @kotaku" in exchange for help getting into a concert.

It is hilarious when copypasta gets taken seriously though. I remember when a copypasta/troll resume got circulated around Wall Street and reported on for a bit. My roommate (who should have known better) was talking about it for a while as if it was serious. This isn't really GG related, but of course being a "victim" of "harassment" is a net-positive for said "victim". You need no more proof than Anita's kickstarter.
On June 7th she made her infamous "OVER 1K! I'm HARRASSEDD@!!!!" post. From then on, she made $129,558 of her total $158,992 Kickstarter*. That's a whopping 81% of her funding.
From that point on her comments also exploded. The amount she was getting daily seems to have (at minimum) tripled. You also start seeing a lot of comments like this:
- "Those guys posting abuse and death threats and so forth? Fuck those guys. Pledged."
- "I'm just sticking it to the "haters gonna hate" brigade with my money"
- "[...] after seeing all the nasty harassment sent your way, I'm donating to show my support."
- "I'm not much of a gamer, but I'm happy to back anything that offends the ignorant chuds who sent such vile garbage your way."

I'm fairly certain "they" knew exactly what they were doing.

If you were just here for the pretty art style, then nothing will change because 99% of Act 2 takes place in the same scenes as Act 1. If you're here for the plot, stay the fuck away and make up your own headcanon because you won't find a satisfactory or satisfying ending here in Act 2...
It's a shame, really. Act 1 set up such an amazing cliffhanger and they pretty much squandered all of its potential by changing it from a coming of age story into a weird dystopian sci fi where they're fighting mutated aryan alien things...

Anyway I kind of feel just a little sorry for him. He alienated the very people (with his sexist 70's tweet about JW, his KKK tweet, allying himself with SJWs, and others) who would/might have defended him against the SJWs. This is not very different from The Red Pill—which overlaps quite a bit with the MR sub—claiming that women are incapable of loyalty and love and are emotionally on the level of teenagers.

As for GWW, the majority of the movement seems to agree with her version of the historical gender gap, so I ask you this:
If the gender gap cannot be explained away by social inequality, what's left? Because MRAs love biological essentialism quite a lot, so I think the answer is pretty obvious.
