Here's the 1988 version Naparima Girls Cookbook that's to be found on the internet. Yes it very old, but the new version is more or less the same, except pictures of the end product. Pretty useless item in the age of internet and YouTube when looking for a recipe. It's overhyped as a Trini cookbook as well, but again i supposed it made sense in the age before internet. There's also no technique described. Read the Doubles recipe on page 81 and you will realize that's it's completely useless in practical application, unless if your goal is Wendy Rahamut's channa fry burgers. This was perhaps more useful in the days when we had to visit the public library to learn how to make roti or want to know what is "kuchela."
There's an Amazon Kindle version if you really want it. https://www.amazon.com/Multicultural-Cuisine-Trinidad-Caribbean-ebook/dp/B092T1BLP2
Although I have only a recently moved back, I have attended quite a few weddings since. Off the top of my head there are 3 nice places I remember:
• St.Augustine Country Club (I can't find a suitable link, but I believe that's what its called. Sorry)
• Jaffa at The Oval in Port of Spain
I am not sure about pricing, but I can say these are fairly upscale venues. Best of luck, congrats, and enjoy.
So I can't answer for locally, however you can look into getting the Ausu RoG 13 gaming laptop. It comes with the Nvidia gaming TI card and a Ryzen 8 core/16 thread processor all packed into 13".
You can see the link here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098MSG7TD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_311QBMQVKMSDYPPN8B9K.
Asus has another gaming laptop called their Strip series, those are also good. You can get these via Amazon and with no taxes here on shipping computers/laptops now you should be ok. I hope this helps!
Look for an airbnb listing in Maraval, the closer to the Queens Park Savannah the better.
You would be about a 15 or 20 minute walk away from Port of Spain, and it's a walk that many people make during Carnival.
Also, Uber should be in Trinidad by then so you could use that to get back and forth.
If you don't already have an airbnb account, click my referral link and you'll get a free credit. Shameless plug. lol
Ancestry are doing 3 months for a dollar, so check it out, but they have very little in terms of records relevant. https://www.ancestry.com/lp/worldexplorer?fbclid=IwAR0i_w9wJHB8FZPA3S4HdoetKgeql2ai9GAAlU_ZhCzUXkVmiqBQHYbJeN4
There are records- you need to contact your church for baptism and marriage records. If you know roughly where they're born you can find it. Some islands have good records in a central location
Edit: oh and you can hire someone to research it if you like. There's at least one geneaology researcher in Trinidad.
Yes and yes. Asked a CSR when I went to a Bmo store a day what's the deal, he said it could be a software issue. App dev hasn't replied yet saying anything more than we got your query. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.etopuponline.bmobile
I’ve been using NordVPN with reasonable success. At times it does feel like the speeds are throttled for streaming, but changing up the server helps with that. That experience could also just be due to poor wifi connection in my area.
If you can afford it I suggest booking a consultation with a dietician who can help create a custom plan for you.
There is also a local dietician who made a recipe book.

You can get Caribbean Green Seasoning from Amazon UK. It will definitely hit as a taste of home, regardless of what you put it on.
To save money. I know that sounds....counterintuitive, but let me explain. Some things just aren't practical to purchase in Trinidad, point blank period. Support local my ass. Recently I needed to get some Unisom sleep tabs, I paid like $90 for 16 tablets at either Massy Stores or Superpharm. Lo and behold, $6USD for 96 tablets on Amazon for a generic version..
Same goes for electronics, clothes, books...probably everything except groceries. You can't benefit from this without a credit card, plus having one allows you to pay bills online, get cash back rewards etc. A credit card is essential imo.
Are you close to electricity? You can also look at the electric coal starters similar to this:
Char-Broil Electric Charcoal Starter https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B06W5VR3ZF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_5JPWS2N081A5587SRV4J
They are relatively cheap and I'm yet to burn one out. Some hardwares carry them (Peakes had it for $150, I think I saw at Bhagwansinghs as well). Extremely consistent lighting of coals, usually well lit in 10 minutes. I use lump charcoal in my smoker and even with large chunks it still gets the job done. A long enough extension cord is all you would need with it.
It is massively unsustainable. Look at the value of TTD vs. the value of BTC. Look at how it fluctuates day to day. It's not a real currency. It's not actually real money. It's a speculative market beholden to corporate interests, not to the people of Trinidad and its labour and our country's resources.
It is a horrible idea to adopt Bitcoin as "money" without converting it into something else otherwise.
Also, adopting BTC would be against the tenets of sustainable development, which is a buzzword both parties love to use, but is also crucial to our country and our planet going forward. Cryptocurrencies just dump a ton of carbon into the atmosphere while providing no tangible gain.
Hmm the airport in Trinidad is located quite a distance away from the ferry terminal. There are drivers with official badges when you exit immigration. Seeing that your time is limited I'd recommend going with one of them.

alot of the Visa Debit cards that are issues are for local use only.
I'd look at getting a Credit card issued but a local bank or
something like payoneer. I know a few people who use payoneer to collect payments as well as make payments. They can withdraw from local atms also.
I'm sometimes over-sensitive and overly-cautious, but I'd rather you be safe and enjoy your time in Trinidad and Tobago than anything else.
You may also want to also check out airbnb. There are several dozen listings under a hundred bucks a night and even a few under fifty bucks a night.
Good question. Latest improvements show 13 km. https://www.huawei.com/en/press-events/news/2019/9/india-bharti-huawei-5g-microwave-mimo-joint-innovation. I am guessing VERY limited roll out and testing until the range limitation is improved more and more.
Check a wine making supply store for "pectic enzyme." Yellow Pages lists two such places, but they're in POS. Other than that, you may really have to import it from Amazon, but i know the majority of this subreddit will downvote me for suggesting that as they only "support local" but actually living in foreign...
Here is my recently published 100% local input comic book. We are currently working on issue 2. https://www.amazon.com/ORB-New-Life-Lesedi-Grant-ebook/dp/B08GL7YGPR/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Lesedi+Grant+ORB&qid=1620131284&sr=8-1
The first example you have, the website you stated that has it for US$127 is overpriced. Amazon has it straight from the manufacturer for US$69 https://www.amazon.com/AZZA-CSAZ-450-HIVE-Tower-Gaming/dp/B08HH2YHN2
But considering the shipping costs to be about TT$150 at most, and considering the purchase price of about $480, you are getting your deal's worth at TT$640 with ordering online being worst case TT$630 + waiting.
Try YouTube Music. There's probably more pan music on YouTube than any competing music service. YouTube Music App
wouldn't a VPN service like ExpressVPN and VPN North solve OP's issue, for a regular user that's not too familiar with encrypting?
you can't stop the spying but you can make it more difficult and he two mentioned offer VPNs for the phones too
