It's called Demon's Plague. It's a zombie apocalypse book, but unlike every other one it takes place in a semi-realistic version of Medieval England instead of a modern / military setting. When I say "Semi-Realistic," it means a low-fantasy world where the cities and characters are fictional, but the weapons, places, and technology are authentic or at least plausible within the setting. No magic, dragons, or other fantasy creatures. The zombies are heavily inspired by Max Brooks, no runners. I also did my best to avoid common tropes for the genre. Characters are intelligent and learn quickly how to handle the infected. And best of all, the story focuses on exactly zero children or babies.

I know that you say that jokingly, but the thing about Amazon is ...
Another good example are Unknown Worlds, the developers behind Subnautica. They literally have their Trello board available to the public so you can always see what they're working on, what is being shifted around, and what is yet to come.
The RMB on beam will make the beam tick more quickly. I think you have to keep the beam fixed on a target to keep the faster ticks but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I've played.
Edit: not sure why I'm being downvoted. Check out /u/ullmod's spreadsheet:
Although the base time between beam staff ticks got changed in 1.2, I haven't read or heard anything that says that the ticks don't get faster over time. I could be wrong, though.
200-300 depending on the version you have.

If you’ve never played it I highly recommend mount and blade warband. There’s a sick warhammer mod that follows the lore extremely well and all the races are really well done. It’s the perfect game I think for warhammer to be played in
EDIT: And you can play as whoever you want and fight whoever you want, but the two sides tend to stay allies with their respective alliances

In the midst of triple A gaming being littered with lootboxes and microtransactions, and activision patenting a new system to make players buy more stuff I feel like supporting good devs and good development.

Solid info package!
The last tier list looks about right. There are few things I disagree with though, mainly I don't value potion and grenade saving trinkets at all. I wrote down my own tier list a few days ago: Click
Globadier trinket was in my A tier, but after playing in test server, I moved it to S tier.
Revive trinket would be amongst best, if you couldn't block while reviving. I honestly don't think my block has ever broken while reviving. Shove, block, revive, shove.
Doubling trinket is consistently useful. You don't really need it if your group is playing farming maps, but on hard maps that trinket is a life saver.
I would be interested in hearing opinions about Star of the Sisterhood (shared health pool). I haven't had a chance to use it myself, so any stories about its success or failure would be much appreciated.
The games are canon. The team worked with GW to make sure nothing was lorebreaking and everything had to be submitted for their approval (the one I always mention is the double-mohawk slayer hat, which was something they were unsure would pass). Kerillian even had her backstory co-written by Matt Ward, who was the person who suggested making her the sarcastic bitch we all love.
I'm going off my memory here, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Bolt staff hits more rats the longer you charge the bolt. Most efficient method is to use minimum charge time, because it still hits 3 rats. I believe the way you angle your shot has an impact on how many rats the bolt bounces on: It seems if the bolt needs to make a sharp turn, then it might not bounce.
As far as I recall, beam's dps increases the longer you point it to same target. Damage is mostly dealt over time. Hail of Doom only affects the m2+m1 bolt, so the trait is useless. Last I heard Mastercrafted didn't increase beam's dps. Regrowth is good on Beam staff, but unfortunately red Beam staff has only 5% regrowth instead of the usual 7%.
As for damage comparisions, here is a spreadsheet: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=5D01AAFF8A5F360A!122766&ithint=file%2cxlsx&app=Excel&authkey=!AAaoFKUvNSfA_aE
So everything you have said so far leaves me with the impression that you've never used the repeater or have terrible aim. "Crouching and unloading with BoP"? wtf kind of strategy is that? The repeater WITHOUT Targeteer is more than capable of landing all shots on an ogre while you AND the ogre are moving from outside the ogre's melee range. Additionally, being able to move and shoot is such an enormous advantage, especially on Cata. (LOL at asking if ShadowThief plays cata... x.x) look for yourself at the damages and now substantiate your claim that " Generally emptying a full clip with BoP will down an ogre at Cataclysm, whereas a Repeater will not." Your ignorance is laughable. Go test the strength potion stacking for yourself if you are so sure, you will learn the truth.
I'll probably still buy the dlc but will not make the same mistake again and buy it after a month or so, when it will be 1/3 the price on steam. https://gg.deals/dlc/warhammer-vermintide-2-shadows-over-boegenhafen/
~3 eur in 1.5 month. Never going to buy dlc on release again

Hm, I actually don't think straw man really fits here to be fair. It's not an invented claim that he set up to refute it, I think. More like he's simply talking over your argument to detract from it. idno
Filtering out Umgak has vastly improved my experience on this sub.
For this just install the Reddit Enhancement Suite.
Then Toggle on the Filterline -> New Basic Filter -> Link Flair
Type in "umgak" -> click "Hide Matching Posts"
You can find it right here.
But if you want something super canon-compliant, I recommend Shadows Over Leicheberg by Minoukatze. Her stuff reads like a Warhammer Fantasy novel.
In the meantime, use AHK:
+F18::
mouseGetPos, xpos, ypos
click, 210, 385 ; don’t open Bögenhafen till fixed
click, 960, 1040
sleep 2750
click, 480, 540
click, 960, 540
click, 1540, 540
mouseMove, 960, 1040
sleep 1500
click, 960, 1040
mouseMove, xpos, ypos
return
That’s for 1080p/80% UI scaling. Might need to adjust some numbers for your setup. And of course you don’t have to use Shift+F18 :)
Okay so I use Autohotkey (https://autohotkey.com/) for the script, if you haven't heard about it, it's a popular automation program. Do some research if you are not sure about it.
Install AHK, then create a text file somewhere and name it VermintideClickSpammer.ahk (or whatever, as long as file type is .ahk).
Edit the file with a text editor of your choice and paste in:
XButton1:: while GetKeyState("XButton1","P") { Send {LButton} sleep 100 } return So what it does is when the Back button on the mouse is pressed send a leftbutton "LButton" click then wait 100 millisec and then repeat, so it will click 10x per second, a bit more than necessary maybe but whatever.
Save the file and close it then launch it with Autohotkey.
You should see an icon in your toolbar next to the clock in Windows that is a green H, that means its activated. If you want to stop it taking over your mouse button you can right click the H and select "Suspend hotkeys".
If you have any issues getting it going just let me know! :)
>IS TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER III GOING TO BE SET DURING THE END TIMES AND FEATURE STUFF FROM AGE OF SIGMAR? No, as with Total War: WARHAMMER and Total War: WARHAMMER II, Total War: WARHAMMER III is set around the reign of Karl Franz. Our primary source is Warhammer Fantasy Battles 8th Edition, although we have and will continue to use older editions for inspiration where appropriate.
I noticed that I posted in that thread and got downvoted a bit :P But it seems like I did the manual install, according to the read me-file.
I'm not certain what version of ReShade I'm running, but these are the comments in the top of SweetFX_settings.txt:

If you really don't get it working, you can try my files. I googled for a file sharing service and uploaded my files here: http://www.filedropper.com/binaries. Just extract that zip into the binaries folder of the game. (Windows might block access to its contents, since it's downloaded from the internet and is considered unsecure. If you right click the zip file -> Properties and check the 'Unblock' checkbox you should be fine).
If it's still crashing it would probably be a good idea to verify the Steam cache of the game or do a reinstall to make sure you don't have any trash laying around in the install folder.
I can tell you how to find it out by yourself:
So the game is currently in a free weekend (which ends in 5 hours or so). If you happen to have decent internet connection, you can simply download it and try it!
Second of all, there is this site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
I only use desktop computers which is why I can hardly rate your laptop GPU but don't expect to play this game in high details.
2 years? OoT came out 20 years ago but a new game breaking glitch was found 4 months ago and the any% and 100% routes are still subject to changes.
Well, I doubt you know this one. It long since changed his name and direction (used to be medieval Europe-centric, now it's mainly Siberian conquest early history). I also left it long ago.
lets start from beginning:
number 600 in inventory + 185(static number) = 785 is your heropower
on legend/champ its capped by 1000
then this 785 heropower is scaled, for damage&stagger you get 565.625 value which is called power level
all power&damage talents, and power_vs properties affect things after they're scaled, so no cap is in the way here (and also +10% power translates into straight 10% damage increase, intuitive).
one exception is unchaineds melee power from overcharge (passive) :
Because this buff applies before the scaling, it gets capped by the 1000 hero power cap at 3 stacks... (and with 600 heropower char)
Each stack gives +12% heropower
Your heropower is 600+185=785.
With 2 stacks you get to 973.4 heropower
3rd stack should give 1067,6 heropower, and it cuts off by 1000 heropower cap.
power scaling graph (by UnShame): https://www.desmos.com/calculator/dqfxwsqdyd
There's plenty of third party stores that go through publishers/distributors to get official keys (same way places like humble exist). Sites like isthereanydeal.com (which lists the same officials stores as OP's link), to my understanding, has been pretty good about only listing sites that are official sellers and not key-reselling sites. Which to be fair to gg.deals also separates grey market key re-sellers from official ones for transparency.
>I keep hearing Sienna mace is bad but man do I love it.
it isn't, especially on unchained
>Also not paying 20 bucks for a flail and spear and shield.
W0M is $9 right now and you get 5 weapons, 1 map, 1 mode and a new variety of enemy types.
Yep, okay. Sounds like what I had. Lucky you.
Best I can tell, this whole mess comes as a result of your card in particular, manufactured by EVGA, having a bit of a defect. The card doesn't like certain particle effects (If you look around the room when the finale starts, you'll notice a bunch of little white particles floating around), and crashes. Best as I can tell, the card is attempting to draw more power than it is actually being given access to; when it can't find this power, it kills itself and your PC crashes.
Here's how I fixed it. Download EVGA Precision (http://www.evga.com/precision/), it can also be found on steam, and crank up the power to about 110% and feel free to set the fan speed to a more aggressive setting if you don't mind the noise. After you do this, your card should work perfectly without any further errors.
Hope it works. I'm not responsible if it doesn't :)
To add to this, SpeedFan is a good tool which lets you create a log of temperatures from any of the sensors in your PC (CPU, GPU, motherboard, etc.). Very useful if you don't have a second monitor and want to see what temps you were hitting during a game (or to see what the last logged temperature was before a PC crash).
The wig was created by Bakkacosplay on commission for me almost 2 years ago now. Just never got a chance to wear it until now (https://www.bakkacosplay.com/). The jacket is actually from my closet and part of my formal work wardrobe and is...jacquard with a snakeskin print. Seriously, it's just a closet cosplay.

I just used a VPN and it allowed me to connect into the game. Looks like there's some worldwide connection issue to Fatshark's servers at the moment. The VPN I used is ProtonVPN, it has a free license and a 7-day trial.
Exotic Melee Weapons spreadsheet
Exotic Ranged Weapons spreadsheet
The melee spreadsheet there will indicate how many targets can be struck with one swing. Even ones hit for 0 are staggered, and can deliver proc effects like the poison trinket, regrowth, killing blow, heroic killing blow, etc.
because it's false - according to /u/ullmod's ranged weapon spreadsheet BoP only penetrates one target.
I don't know if number of targets actually increases on any weapon by rarity (heard that it's the case on handgun but haven't tested it myself)
Well from /u/ullmod 's table (found here) it's described as "When using LMB while holding RMB, beam deals charged damage once" would suggest that since the beam is dealing the damage that this could be used for ranged burst damage against a single target (although this is just based on my interpretation of what is written in the table and I might be completely wrong). So it could be used to inflict good damage at range (which would be good against all specials except armored). Assuming I'm completely wrong with the previous statement, I would say using just LMB up close (5 meters or closer) is best against resistant enemies (ogre, packmaster) and since the beam's tick rate increases after each ticks down to around 0.5s/tick, I would say just using beam against armoured enemies is best considering the amount of damage for the amount of heat used. It could still be useful against normal waves up close though.
If I understand correctly, Amazon Web Services' free tier would allow you to run a server for 12 months, 30GB storage, 1GB RAM without paying anything. So that could be a good solution if it fits well with Vermintide.
> I've mitigated this by configuring a macro on my mouse to auto attack on hold, but this feels a bit hacky and I wish there was more granularity to how the controls could be configured on PC, especially for those of us who can't afford to injure themselves playing video games.
For now, AHK is your friend :-/
Vermintide is canon though
Not only was the lore written by Matt ward (a controversial but official gw writer), but fatshark actually said in this article that everything they do is gw approved and canon
In fact the events of vermintide were added to the warhamer wiki a while back
I personally have never had issues with Green Man Gaming, but it is a few $ more expensive. There are other options that are cheaper but can be sketchy, I'd avoid G2A personally.
I find the map fun. I like the addition of beastmen to the other maps and the weapons added to each hero. Weaves were a disappointment to me as I thought they would be different.
Right now you can get it for 46% off on greenmangaming which is definitely worth it at that price.
It's also on green man gaming for 79% off right now so you can avoid this scumbag right here and get it for 5.79€

back in the l4d2 days, if you blocked someone on steam, you wouldn't matchmake with them any more. I'm hearing that it hasn't been working lately in CS:GO though?
Apparently it has to do with how Windows 10 handles full screen applications and admin processes. I run 7 myself, so I can't test this, but i found this forum post about this issue where they suggest running the script as admin.
If you try it, please let me know if it works or not.
AutoHotKey. It's the easiest to use, and you can google search for scripts for just about anythng you can think of. You just double click the script to load it and kill autohotkey from the taskbar when you want to disable it.
If you want to convert between the number you see in the UI and real power, there's two cases:
If you have >=115 power, you can do (UIPOWER - 115) * 5 / 8 + 262.5
If you have <=115 power, you can do UIPOWER * 5 / 16 + 226.5625
Minimum power in the UI is 15 since everyone's at least level 1 and wearing power 5 items.
This ignores power level capping on recruit and veteran, though. You can scale the result with mods that give you bonus power for calculating damage.
Edit: UnShame made this calculator that deals with power. The formulas can be simplified a lot if you walk through them. They're just arranged like that because the scripts do them that way, as far as I know.
I don't think anyone knows. I recently did some testing to try and figure it out based on this boost curve and I'm getting different results pointing to multiple variables changing instead of just one which means we may never know until someone datamines the exact values. My data is showing it to be roughly an increase of 10x on the specific weapon's attack critheadshot multiplier. But I'm going to test more weapons and see if that holds true.
If I got this right they should modify powerlevel in the same way that Power vs X does. Also they should stack in the same way that different Power vs X types do.
Powerlevel is a hidden value, which is actually used to calculate damage, cleave and stagger. You can see the way Powerlevel scales with Hero Power in this Graph by UnShame.
I'd fundamentally change how it works.
Procs on only the first target that takes damage. If slain by the proc, that target does not count towards the number of targets the weapon can hit. Consecutive headshots increase the chance of a proc.
Here is an idea for a bald head without shaving, then place the holy Pigmar atop yonder skull so we may all behold his glory.
According to this thread, the Steam Autumn sale will start around November 25th and the Steam Winter sale will start around December 22nd. There is a good chance that the game will be on sale during those dates. Alternatively, you can buy a Vermintide 2 Steam key on sale from 3rd party authorized sellers. It currently says that Vermintide 2 is on sale on AllYouPlay for $6.74.
I know it doesn't really help, but it works the same as before on my end.
If as the others have said validating the game files etc doesn't work, a workaround might be to use Borderless Gaming. It's a great program in general, but with that if you just set Vermintide to windowed mode and force borderless with that program, it might be different than the one built into the game itself.
Until it's fixed, try using something like this:
http://dualmonitortool.sourceforge.net/
I've used that for other games, that I've had the issue in (I don't experience it in this game), and it works wonders :)
I mentioned this in a thread on Steam as well, where some people had this issue in the 2nd beta (I think it was).
As far as I know, it's Steam kinda "stealing" the focus, but not 100%, that makes the mouse go outside the game window. It's "kinda" the same that happens with a few other games, that just minimizes on startup, where you need to spam-click the window on your taskbar, to get it to get focus as well - Steam stealing focus a fair bit more in this case.
Whether or not you encounter this issue, is fairly random. One game might "trigger it", while another might not - or the game might "trigger it" at first, but then not later (and vice versa).

Handshake mouse really helped my hand strain. Only took me 1 day to get used to it. Can never go back to a regular mouse now. I got the cheap 15 dollar one off amazon, but will look to get a higher end one when this one goes out.
FYI: There is also the Yuni 3D printed headphone for us single-sided deaf headphone users - I own both a Yuni and 2E1 (I prefer your 2E1's sound). I don't see the Yuni in stock on Amazon, tho.
Shilling for some shillings.
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to play Raid: Shadow Legends and then I'll go onto the Manscape website and I'll buy a brand-new razor for cheap with Honey. And all of this whilst I use NordVPN to protect me from cryptids.
This is just a theory. I can't remember if the trainer was even launched but it is a possibility.
Among other things that were probably running there was Glasswire, Origin, Lightshot, maybe NordVPN and that should be it.
You want a group of gritty, shady characters who go on random adventures and are more or less stuck with each other? Also, which takes place in, mostly, the Reikland.
Read Blackhearts by Nathan Long. *Excellent series, and is about as close to Vermintide as you can get, only not in the same timeframe.
nice system! what gpu usage are you getting? how much ram do you have? ssd or HDD?
I'm going to guess you are playing at 1080p? If so, this resolution will make you more cpu limited in games. This game is very cpu dependent so even more so.
You could try overclocking your cpu more but this depends on your cooling & ambient temperatures, motherboard etc, many factors.
My other suggestion is to move to 1440p, this will shift you from being cpu limited to gpu limited. 1070ti can handle 1440p with no problems. This is the best/lowest cost 1440p gsync monitor:

This game (and its predecessor) made me buy this
Not stock, no. Am using:
My case is a Corsaier Carbide 500R, which is nice and roomy for what I have in there, has great cable management so it's pretty clean looking inside. Also has 6x 120mm fans running in silent mode (thanks random black friday sales!) and a big side-mounted one that's 200mm.
It's probably total overkill, but between that and good dust management, and every couple years do a disassemble + reassemble for maintenance, it's performed really well for the 6 or 7 years I've had it.
Arctic Silver 5 is still pretty good, and my CPU fan is totally overkill. Only reason I have it is that it wouldn't fit in a friend's micro ATX case, and so I swapped out my (sadly, discontinued) EVGA M02 fan - which was fairly similar to a Hyper 212 Evo.
I was able to get my 3570k "stable" at 4.6 ghz, but the additional voltage required in order to not crash was just stupid and instead of running at around 70C during Prime95, it was running at 96C. Still, 4.52 ghz on a 3570k on air cooling is pretty respectable.
Good luck!
I use two monitors and a TV.
For the two monitors I have UltraMon installed. Allows for a second taskbar and other options.
I duplicate my left screen onto the TV (to watch Youtube etc.) with a Y cable DVI splitter, a DVI-HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable because my TV has no DVI input. So for duplicating I use a 100% hardware setup with NO additional software involved.
Disclaimer: I had to pull out a single pin on the TV side of the Y cable because my graphics card initially recognized the TV incorrectly, but I think that depends on the graphics card and your other settings so it could work for you right out the box.
After playing Vermintide, I personally read all of the Gotrek and Felix books, and they were a blast! I highly recommend either finding them online in pdf format, or if you're like me and like reading physical books there are a bunch on amazon.
The omnibus's combine several books into 1, such as this first one or you can start on the second book like I did with Skavenslayer, only $5 on amazon
I am by no means very knowledgable about the universe. I know a lot about DnD, but only admired Warhammer from afar. Much like you, I've only gotten interested after the game.
I've recently started reading The Legend of Sigmar by Graham McNeill. In the prolog, he states that most of the lore is stitched together from the role playing books. The book is decent so far, but its setting is thousands of years before End Times.
There are a handful of fictional "End Times" books. Before Sigmar, I read The Fall of Altdorf, which was pretty good. It takes place north of Ubersreik, where the Chaos invasion is most severe. By comparison, the Chaos army makes the rats seem like a inconvenience.
There are some books written about the Vermintide itself, but I haven't read any. One interesting review on Amazon:
>There are two ways to write skaven, there is the William King 'funny' skaven as featured in the excellent Slayers series and then there is the 'scary' skaven.
I haven't read any of them, so I can't comment.

Another great source is The Warhammer Wiki itself. http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/The_End_Times
Hope this helps.
